Sunspot2 Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Hello, I'm trying to create a head for big women that fits vanilla and CB++. The problem is, I cannot export the mesh into a usable nif. Whenever i do it (more than 100 attempts), something goes wrong. I followed many different blender import - export tutorials. Can anybody please export the mesh making it usable? Don't worry if the neck is too long and end up inside the body, that will be adjusted by femalehead.tri morphs that i successfully edited.
Vioxsis Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Max can't open .blend so unless you know of an importer you will need to upload a max friendly file.
Sunspot2 Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 Max can't open .blend so unless you know of an importer you will need to upload a max friendly file. Â I never used max, what format should i export from blender that is usable in max please?
Sunspot2 Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 Try .obj  There it is, added a .obj to 7z
Vioxsis Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Try this, i have not tested it in game (not sure how i would) but it should work. Â If it doesn't work or there's something wrong just post the .nif you exported and couldn't get to work.
Sunspot2 Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 I can see it in game, but looks odd. Attached a screenshot and the exported nif
igora Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 that might be because you need to create face_1 ?
Vioxsis Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 I think it was because the the vertex count was reset by the import/export of the .obj, this one is done from the .nif you posted.
Sunspot2 Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 Seems I somehow screw my own mesh after changing the original head too much. I attached now an older version of the mesh, reshaped but with vertex count and order same as vanilla head. Â Can we try with this one please?
Vioxsis Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 The vertex count was correct, but the UVs were broken, and when i try to fix them in max it crashed. Â I have attached it below anyway.
Sunspot2 Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 Dam! My fault again. I exported the nif without a UV. Would you mind giving a try to this one?
Sunspot2 Posted November 21, 2012 Author Posted November 21, 2012 THANK YOU !!!! It works!!! The neck could use more sculpting, but that is my fault hehe. I attached a screenshot. Ahh, If this is ever released (the .nif and the .tri that morphs the .nif), even as a modder resource, what nickname you want to be credited for?
Sunspot2 Posted November 21, 2012 Author Posted November 21, 2012 Would you mind exporting this one please? I sculpted the neck to a better shape without changing the vertice count this time.
Vioxsis Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 what nickname you want to be credited for? Â You don't have to credit me, i didn't really do anything.
Sunspot2 Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012 Well, not wanting to abuse, could you try exporting this one please? The others are nice, but the neck stretch a bit too much when sneaking.
Sunspot2 Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012 The pic shows what happens when sneaking. Any idea what causes that? Also follows what I hope will be the last neck and head sculpting. Could you export it too please?
Vioxsis Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 The only thing that can cause that is the weights. Â I set the limit to 0.19 and that should hopefully get the stray weights.
Sunspot2 Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012 And you were right, neck now stretches exactly as vanilla neck! But, would you mind exporting and setting 0.19 (man i wish i knew what that means) in one more file please?
Vioxsis Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 0.19 is what i set when i was removing zero weights.
Sunspot2 Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012 Man, thanks released at last: CBBE - MV I might sculpt the mesh a bit more or simply wait till more competent modders do it. Thanks a lot for all help! This would not be possible without you.
Sunspot2 Posted November 23, 2012 Author Posted November 23, 2012 Sorry to bother again, but would you mind exporting this one?
