AI in Skyrim

hello!

 

for the first i wanna say that in the middle of all mods for Skyrim one of them was underestimated and forgotten.

i'm about 'Social NPCs':

WHAT IS IT?

this mod contains some kind of AI that you can add for everyone in Skyrim.

it doesn't make NPCs more smart in battles or giving them new day routines.

it make NPCs more social and giving them ability to interact with each other.

so NPCs can become friends or foes.

 

WHAT'S NOW?

this mod has been abandoned a few years ago.

i tried to contact with the autor but he's keeping silence.

 

ANY PROBLEMS?

i think this mod can be useful for makng real AI for the Skyrim but it's fulfil of annoying and unuseful things:

 

1. scripts of this mod are using quest system so they make an annoying popups

2. scripts are firing every 20 seconds so you can see this annoying popups 3 times per min

3. it's adding unusful NPCs and building that have a conflict with other mods

4. it dosen't adding AI for the NPCs because you need to add it manually via CK one by one

5. if you're trying to use insctruction from autor you fing out that you can't add it because sctipts has been packed in BSA and don't showing in CK

 

AN IDEA

i think it will be great if someone can make a touch of this mod and make it useful:

1. cut everything from the mod except AI (buildings, NPCs etc)

2. take scripts away from quest system with it popups

3. make the time of firing more rare or use  MCM for setting of it

4. find the way to add AI scripts for every NPCs in game in auto not in a manual mode

in result it will be lightweight mod that adding AI for all NPCs

 

RESUME

i'm not lazy but i'm trying to do it about 2 months and because i'm not skilled in scripts i think i'm giving up.

but i think this mod is very important for immersion of the game and have no alternative.

this mod can be useful even it will be just an social mod but it will be useful if you wanna make an adult expansion too.

 

so if someone wanna make an unofficial rework of it i'll try to help as i can.
