How to edit walk/run sound for boots/shoes/whatever

Took me a while to figure out how to change the sound foot steps make for certain armor and couldn't find what I needed on the internet before hand, so here's this.

1. Download Tes5Edit and move it into your Skyrim directory, then launch it.

2. Only have the esm/esp you need to work with checked. If it's from Skyrim or any of the DLC, have those checked. If it's a mod, check that. w/e

If you're not going to use a mod that adds a footstep sound effect (i.e. high heels) skip step 3.

3. Right-click the armor/clothing mod and select "add to masters" and select the footstep sound mod.

4. After it loads, find the armor you want under "Armor Addon" and scroll all the way down SNDD - Footstep Sound

5. Click the current footstep sound once (as if you're renaming it) and an arrow should pop up. Click that arrow and find the sound effect you want.

6. Save your stuff (should ask you to save when you exit tes5edit).
