About This File

Born and raised in a loving, conservative family, Alison Skylar Hurley's education in the cardinal conservative values of discipline, scholarship, and hard work began in the bassinet. Her parents made it a point to immerse her every sense with artistic masterworks and hone her mind with writings from great conservative thinkers. Adorning the walls of her childhood room were pictures of Adam Smith, Ronald Reagan, and Sarah Palin. Instead of sports, she learned debate, while lessons in voice, piano, and violin were ever-present in her activities.

Upon entering high school, Alison pursued electives in music and theater to round out her rigorous academic schedule. She was elected Class President each of her first 3-years of high school and was voted Student Body President her senior year. Not surprisingly, she graduated high school as Valedictorian of her class. All of this while avoiding pregnancy or an abortion (not too difficult since she also managed to preserve her virginity).

This past summer after graduation, Alison worked at perfecting her acting and singing and even landed a part as Vulpes in the new Void Bop commercial. Her parents, both University of Britechester alums, encouraged her to attend the UoB Dragons of the Podium Debate Camp, where she achieved a victory over a Britechester Debate Team member in the camp finale debate tournament. She even found time to work on her tan.

But summer has come to an end, and there are decisions to be made. A political career has always been on the horizon for Alison, but performing as an actor is something that she dearly enjoys. Ronald Reagan was an actor who went on to become President -- why not Alison?

Should Alison attend university full-time while picking up acting parts when she can, or is a full-time acting career and part-time post-secondary education the way to go?
