Arana 1: A sister's love challenged in Jorrvaskr

Spoiler

A pretty long story again. I actually had some difficulties writing that one. Arana is a bit different from Shanilia. Shanilia clearly is a sub, which is what I play most of the time. Arana is stronger willed, she may bend, get corrupted and even enjoy that (well, that's my kink, so yeah she does), but she'll still fight it more than Shani and always try to get back on her feet for quite a while before actually letting go, so that makes for another kind of story telling. Also, Since I actually managed to finish something with Ethel's arc, I decided to try and actually write something that would start one of the character's story. I'll probably do the same for Shanilia, and then see if I manage to do it for Hurgal, not sure since I mostly play female characters and Hurgal would be more of a corruptor than a corruptee.

On another note, to all of you screenshot maniacs ou there. is there a simple way to have npc unsheathe their weapon without being in a fight. Up to now I manage it by using first the command "Startcombat", then tcai, but it is pretty annoying, and also, I can't use posers on my enemies so i have to actually have them "startcombat" with something else. That's partly why I didn't really animate the last scene with the bandits but just paused the game and take a few pictures of the regular fight.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it. Next story will probably be a spin off of that one where Arana decides not to join the companions but keeps on fighting Athis. After that, Shanilia's arrival in Winterhold and her encounter with everyone's favourite magus: J'Zargo.

ps: As usual, I spent a while on it. So I'll publish it now and come back later to look for typos and weird sentences in the last part. Don't hesitate to tell me if some sentences are incorrect since English isn't my native language.

How I came to live with the companions? Well, yeah I guess I could tell you if you really want to know.

As you can guess by my appearance, I am not from Skyrim, but I am not actually from Hammerfell either. Eventhough I am a Redguard. I was actually born in the Imperial City in Cyrodiil. As for the way I met the companions, you see, it all started with my brother Enntu going missing. He was my older brother by a bit less than ten years and I kind of idolized him. When I was but a teenager, he left for Skyrim. He was a great warrior and he wanted to make a name for himself there since there was some unrest in this country. At first, he wrote a lot to me, at least once every month, but then he started writing less and less, and finally, after I had no news for more than six months, I decided to go there myself to search for him.

Of course, that didn't please my parents, and Trenseth, my fiance even less. Still, I couldn't stay in the dark like that. Had something happened to him? Or was he so taken by his new life there that he had forgotten about his family? About me? We had always been very close and he always had doted on me while I looked up to him and searched for his approval. Not knowing was a torture and I just couldn't let it go.

In his last letters he was talking about the companions and Jorrvaskr, about how this fearsome group of warriors had begged him to join them when they heard about his mighty deeds. Knowing that, because of his valor, they would probably stay informed about him even if he was not amongst them any more, I decided to start my search for him there. And that is how I came to cross the frontier int Skyrim to make my way to Whiterun and Jorrvaskr.

The trip from Bruma to Helgen, had been harsh, the weather reminding me that I was no longer in the mild weather of the Rumare lake. I had arrived at Helgen in the morning, thinking to stop there and rest. However there was a tension in the air, many imperial soldiers here appearing on edge. I had heard already of the stormcloak rebellion and, even if, at heart, I agreed with the rebels, I wanted no part in whatever was going on there so I kept going, my map telling me that if I kept on I'd arrive in whiterun in a bit more than a day and that there was a village named Riverwood where I could probably stop for the night.

Later I'd learn that Helgen was razed to the ground by what was probably the first dragon attack that plagued Skyrim, that's another tale altogether.

Still, my travel might this time have been free of dragon, but not of danger as I was set about by some wolves who appeared to be much less fearful than what I'd heard about those of Cyrodiil.

image.thumb.jpeg.f2b2276319db7b4e011f8707cc1475e2.jpeg

As I got ready to defend myself, I was a bit afraid about them going after my horse, but they were apparently much more interested in me, even armed and armored as I was.

image.thumb.jpeg.686de60b35cb9428860f1d0b0fc0fc45.jpeg

Anyway, they were far from being a match for me and I easily dispatched them. Taking full advantage of the armor I had forged with my father, and of the axe that my brother had given to me before leaving and that allowed me to drain my opponents of their vigor when I hacked into them while it replenished mine.

It took me until the end of the afternoon to get to Riverwood. Apart from the wolf attack, or maybe even with that, I really enjoyed riding in the forest. The air was crisp and the wind carried the scent of many flowers unknown to me. Riverwood itself, when seen from afar appeared like a fairy tale village compared to what I was used to. small and pastoral, people going about their everyday life looking peaceful and happy.

However, when I got in the village, my naive view of it didn't last very long.

image.thumb.jpeg.884c89ee2cc390f1cef3f9c746b658f4.jpeg

First, when I got in, a guard asked me where was my husband, then my father when I told him that I wasn't married. When he understood that I was on my own, he asked me if I was a prostitute and if I had a licence for that trade. He finally let me go when I started getting angry, but I could hear him mutter to himself that I must be a lesbian cunt, while a bosmer who had listened to the conversation was saying that haughty girls from far away would do well to learn to behave.

Then, as I got closer to the inn, I saw an advert for a girl who was being sold!

image.thumb.jpeg.21a43776168f5d42c817bc8b80b01940.jpeg

I mean, I was pretty sure that slavery wasn't legal in Skyrim, or had things changed since I learned about it at the time where my brother had left for this place?

Later that night, I learned that it actually still was forbidden, mostly. However these kinds of adverts had apparently appeared in Skyrim a few weeks ago as a new law stating that lawbreakers could actually be stripped of any rights if their crime was grave enough and then could be bought as merchandise was being inforced in some holds.

image.thumb.jpeg.48f6c53f21b7069dd53d48cd0783cffe.jpeg

That night, staying at the inn, I saw that I actually was the only woman who was there without a husband or male family to take care of her. Well, there was me, and an altmer whose attire and attitude with men made it quite obvious that her trade was the one the guard had asked me about...

image.thumb.jpeg.0f2f3ab929e59a33eb4b04f00b3c0bc1.jpeg

Still, the wine was drinkable, the food simple but actually really good. Also it was nice be out of the cold and out of my armor, amongst human beings, even if some of them appeared to be looking a lot at my cleavage. Well, I had always been big, had always been useed to men looking at me and I was not about to change that because these idiots thought that I shouldn't go anywhere without a man to protect me.

image.thumb.jpeg.c12b6d45413d8d2bf74db48eae7d1a91.jpeg

I also had a talk with Delphine, the innkeeper. A small breton girl but, considering how she talked to Orgnar her husband, she clearly wasn't the kind of fragile flower that women were expected to be in these parts. She hadn't heard about my brother, but agreed that if he was a great warrior, then the Companions in Jorrvaskr would probably know about him wether he was one of them or not.

image.thumb.jpeg.c53b4a23eda061ffc13449940db37f81.jpeg

I left early morning the day after, eager to get to Whiterun and Jorrvaskr. It had been too long that I had been without any news about Enntu and I could feel it. I was getting closer.

Travel this day was mostly uneventful and I could let my mind wander while the forest slowly became sparser to let wide plains finally take over. On the way to Whiterun, I saw many soldiers, all of them men. I also saw some lone armed people, probably sell swords and was a bit reassured to see that some of them, not much but still a few, were women.

image.thumb.jpeg.08a81f15e51cd083d5a27126717bbc88.jpeg

As I got to Whiterun, I could see that these posters were there too. The city was far smaller than the Imperial city, but still bigger and more populated than what I expected. There was many stores, merchants selling stuff at stalls also, many men and women coming and going. There, my armor attracted a few glances, but not nearly as much as it had in Riverwood. That place had probably been a backwater hovel and I thought that things would be easier here.

image.thumb.jpeg.2cc2c5211d961bcd7b90b0cc39599af3.jpeg

It took me a while to find Jorrvaskr, and I had to ask directions, but when I was there, I knew that I had the right place. I wouldn't say that it was what I had been expecting, but still it was impressive. Yes, that was the place that my brother came to, looking for glory. That was where I was going to get some more informations about him. When I got closer to the door, I could hear some cheering, probably some fight or sparring going on. Smiling I opened the door.

image.thumb.jpeg.2710aed31c267c443b4a02b20864e6ae.jpeg

"Are those two at it again?" I heard someone say when I got in.

"Come on! Show her!" Yelled a dark haired woman.

There were five people in a half circle, cheering on two that were in the middle. those two were... Naked? Were they wrestling? Then I understood what was going on.

image.thumb.jpeg.96811b9d017e6b93fd63ef374dcb3acc.jpeg

The ones being cheered on were a pale woman, probably a nord, and a dunmer. And they were actually coupling there in the open, with the others looking and commenting.

By Morwha, the woman even had something written above her ass. From where I was I couldn't see clearly but I doubted that it was poetry...

image.thumb.jpeg.0403afa9ded2f51e7633f4028b2d3ed1.jpeg

Without even realising it, I had gotten closer. Close enough that one of the men noticed me.

"Oh! Hey there lady. Sorry about that, guess that you don't see that every day. Don't worry, something tells me that these two are almost done, I can answer your questions after. I could now if it's urgent but, well, Njada likes her audience, or Athis does. Not sure which one, if not both."

image.thumb.jpeg.d13d91ba96a557dca3b24b9946da0558.jpeg

"Ah! You dare defy a dunmer? Take that! You bitch!" Grunted the elf.

"Ah! That's... Aaahn! Nothing!" Moaned the woman on all fours.

Mesmerized, i couldn't take my eyes of them, barely conscious that I had been talked to. He was big! At least half as big as Trenseth, my fiance, eventhough they were both elves.

image.thumb.jpeg.a0626f447bacb6a1d940ae9c8c3dabff.jpeg

"By Azura!" Exclaimed the dunmer, slamming hips against her one last time before relaxing, leaning on her.

"Is that... All?"  she said, her cocky act not that convincing with her eyes still half closed from what I was pretty sure had been an orgasm.

Feeling self conscious, I finally managed to unglue my eyes from them to realize that the other man next to me, that really looked like the first one albeit a bit bigger, probably brothers, had also taken notice of me.

image.thumb.jpeg.07febec1467e88d2e5cafd3d00fe43b2.jpeg

"Oh, hey pretty girl. Are your tits that big or is that the armor? You on the market, I got 15 septims for you if you come to my room with me."

"What!"

"Farkas! Shut up muscles for brain!" Said the first one who had talked to me. "Whores don't come with armor on except if you ask them for it and buy them one, idiot. She must be a client. Excuse my brother milady, he's the best when it comes to cleave or to headbutt any foe, however thinking isn't his strong suit."

"Fuck you Vilkas. Though if you ain't a prostitute, sorry, I guess I was rude. It's just those two, Watching them has made me horny. And I am not that smart when I'm horny."

"Cause you are the rest of the time?"

image.thumb.jpeg.1c67e132846047b9d3889a4b631ac248.jpeg

During that time, the two lovers, if that's what they were, had finally gotten up and the girl was leaving, proof of their coupling still apparent between her thighs.

"Nice one Njada." Said the dark haired girl that had been cheering on. "Did you actually try to win or did you just want to get plowed?"

"What are you doing here Ria? Shouldn't you be somewhere else with the future father? Said the naked one, looking at her belly. "Or maybe you don't know who it is?"

"Girls don't fight. Said the white haired man. "I got enough love for the both of you."

"Sure you do, Skjor?" Asked the red haired girl, Icily.

"Err, just kidding, Aela, you know that, right?"

"You better be. Now stop looking at these bitches tits and come hunt with me." She said leaving, not needing to check if he was following.

"OK, this place really is a circus." said the first man to have talked to me, Vilkas if I had heard well." Come with me, we'll go to my room to talk. haha don't worry, no funny business." He added when he saw me looking at him with suspicion.

Waving for me to follow him, he crossed the hall, went down some stairs and took me to a room where we sat across each other.

image.thumb.jpeg.b8420fbee305774cf9ecdaf47a157f72.jpeg

"So... Let me guess. Judging by that clunky thing you put yourself in, I'd say that you need to travel somewhere and need protection, right? You want to hire some men to protect you? So, how close was I?"

"What? No, I can protect myself." I said. "And that clunky thing as you said is a great armor that my father and I forged together."

"Oh, if you say so. Sorry about that. Then what is it you need from the Companions?"

"I am searching for someone and I guess that you must know of him. He's a warrior of renown and a great man. It's my brother Enntu."

image.thumb.jpeg.442ee525af20f8f6f2b736e039d72c20.jpeg

At that, he looked at me before answering.

"Oh, You're Enntu's sister... Mmm... Now that you say it, I guess that you could look a bit like him. Wouldn't have guessed without you saying it, though. Well, I am sorry but I can't tell you about him."

"What? Why? Don't you know where he is?"

"I don't know where he is now, and I don't know of any renown about him, or him being such a great man. I know where he left for, but even that, I guess I can't tell you, even if you're his sister."

"And why not?" And what do you mean you don't know of him being a great man, you met him did you not?"

"Well, we don't tell the whereabouts of our shield brothers and sisters. For us these bonds are even deeper than family. Even if one is no longer a brother. As for meet him I did, but I tell you he didn't strike me as one I could call great."

"I... How dare you! You're jealous of him? That's why you won't tell?"

"Easy girl. As I told you I won't tell you because you're not a companion."

"Well then, that's easy, make me a Companion."

He burst out laughing at that.

"Jorrvaskr isn't an embroidery social club, girlie. We're an order of warrior."

"Then what, do you say that because I am a woman? I am a warrior too!"

"Are you? There are women amongst us, but they are seasoned warriors, how many kills have you done? How hard have you trained?"

"I... I killed three wolves on the way to Whiterun. And I was trained by my brother."

"Right... Tell you what, I'll go ask for the old man's permission, and if he agrees, I'll test you. If you pass, then you'll be a Companion and have earned the right to ask me some questions. Go at the back of the building on the training field, I'll meet you there."

He got up at these words and left. Too furious to find an answer, I stomped back up the stairs and got out of the building.

image.thumb.jpeg.36d373941858192ffa944849d168eeb1.jpeg

While I was waiting for him in the backyard, I saw the Dunmer, the girl he had had sex with, and the dark haired one look at me. The three of them were apparently curious about me. I couldn't stop myself from sneering at the girls' "armors" that barely covered anything. As for them, they got even more interested when Vilkas got here too, took his sword out and faced me.

"Whoa there Vilkas. What's going on?" Asked the dunmer.

"That one asked to join us, said she'd prove herself to me, so we'll see if she's got more than just words."

"You're right you'll see." I growled.

"Who's the big metal armor anyway?" Asked the dark haired one.

"You're jealous because she got knockers bigger than yours eventhough you're pregnant?" Asked the white haired one.

"Well, her armor does. Maybe she got mosquito bites under it."

"Ooh, we'll have to check that, then, won't we." Said the dunmer.

"Will you three bitches shut up? " Exclaimed Vilkas. "She's Enntu's sister. Came to ask about him, told her to piss off, so she kinda defied me for the right of it. And now face me lass. Show me how you move in that huge safe you call an armor. Show me dear Enntu's mighty trained sister."

image.thumb.jpeg.bf01c54b70bada155b0acf89a7cebf39.jpeg

"Enntu's sister? Now that's interesting." I heard the dunmer say.

However I had to concentrate on Vilkas. He was arrogant, but still, he looked like he knew what he was doing.

We started circling each other. He was a two handed sword wielder, he had the better reach and offense power, while I had the better defense with my shield. I thought that he would rain hits on me to try to overwhelm me, but no, he waited, and waited, actually letting me get closer and closer to him as we turned around each other, letting me in a distance that was more advantageous for me. When I finally knew that he was too close to be able to properly use his sword, I hacked at him, going for his arm as I didn't want to kill him even if he had angered me.

image.thumb.jpeg.a86d83fe3177c05d63bafe5d63e21278.jpeg

Except that... I didn't even scratch his armor for he had jumped back. Before I had the time to really understand what had happened, he had pivoted on his heels and his sword came crashing in my shield, lifting my feet off the ground with the force of the impact.

image.thumb.jpeg.6b5ae51fca2be2f27a3dcd26f9ba69d9.jpeg

I wish I could say that I'd had the time to put my shield up. Frankly, I think that he voluntarily hit my shield so as not to skewer me.

As I fell to the ground, I could hear one of the girl say: "Well, that was to be expected."

image.thumb.jpeg.6d1fa6b3ff0941f92de10734ed13b2ae.jpeg

Breathless and in pain, I didn't even bother to get my axe and shield as I stood up as best I could in front of Vilkas, doing my best not to cry.

"Well then, That's it girl. I guess that's the extent of your talent. Just know that you didn't dishonnor your brother's training, for he did no better when he faced me. Now grab your rubbish off of Jorrvaskr's ground and be on your way."

What was he saying? Disrespecting my brother again? I knew that it was only lies, but what was I going to do? The result of our bout had been clear enough to show me that it was no stroke of luck. He clearly was better than I was, maybe close to my brother's level!

image.thumb.jpeg.0dca69948c3de3988840b657be949017.jpeg

"Why? Why do you say that against my brother?" I finally blurted, almost despite myself.

"Why? Because i don't like him. That's why." he answered.

"But you say that he was your Shield brother. Shouldn't you show him some respect?"

"The old man accepted him because of lies! I didn't choose him to be." He said angrily. Seeing that what he was saying was maybe hurting worse than the beating he gave me he mellowed somewhat. "And you didn't choose him either, so you better let him go as we did. You ask me to show him some respect? Not talking about him is the best I can do in that sense without lying then."

I was still thinking of a way to make him change his mind when someone else spoke next to me.

image.thumb.jpeg.586a5dc672953cd091ab0b85ccd0447c.jpeg

"Hey Vilkas. You're saying that his brother did no better than her, yet he was a companion right?"

Looking, I saw that , the dunmer had joined us.

"Yes, that's exactly what I said Athis. What's that to you?" Answered Vlikas, looking annoyed.

"Well the thing is, that is unfair to the girl, don't you think? She had the guts to fight you yet you say that she doesn't qualify? I'd say that she has heart at least. wouldn't you?"

image.thumb.jpeg.26747914e6fa0aabf5de734704762fe3.jpeg

"Well yeah. But I am quite sure that it's not her heart that interests you, although it's not far from it. And maybe she's delusionnal because her brother told us that she was a mighty warrior, which she's not. So should we accept anybody who's got guts? Even if they hardly can wield a weapon?"

"That's not what I say. What I am saying is that how many of us would be a Companion today if we'd had to beat you to join when we arrived? Would you say that we've got no place here though? People like Torvar and I? Or even thoses crazy wenches Njada or Ria? Would you be a companion today if you'd had to beat Kodlak in his prime as a youngling yourself?"

Vilkas looked more and more annoyed but couldn't apparently find a fault in what the dunmer was saying.

"So what, should we let her join eventhough she failed at what was supposed to be her trial?"

"That trial was unfair, how about another one?"

"You know what? Fine. I'll talk to the old man and we'll fine another trial for her. A fairer one."

He turned to me then.

"Hear that lass? Athis here seems to have taken a liking to you. So I'll go talk to the Harbinger. He'll think of something to test your mettle. Until then, you better train like Molag bal's whipping your ass, cause if you fail the next one, you probably just won't be humiliated, you'll be dead, understand?"

Still in pain, I gritted my teeth and looked at him.

"I will. And one day I'll be strong enough to beat you."

He laughed at that.

"That's the spirit. But just know that, the day you do that, you'll be much stronger than your brother ever was."

Not leaving me the time for a last retort, he left at that.

image.thumb.jpeg.e695d66f75a829f666796a2545228e73.jpeg

Seeing thet Athis had gone a bit further to lean on a wall I went to him.

"Err thank you. But what's the catch? I am not going to sleep with you, you know?"

"Yet." He smiled.

"What yet?"

"Not yet."

"Right, I won't and that's final."

"If you say so. Well, let me ask you that, what did you earn?"

"He said that he wouldn't talk to someone who is not a companion. So I earned the right to try to become a companion again."

image.thumb.jpeg.68fcf79a1dba949fb55593aa2e51e623.jpeg

"Yeah, but you annoyed him in doing so. Even if you pass the the test, what makes you think that he'll talk then, he has made no promises in this sense, or has he?"

"What? He wouldn't dare!"

"Oh yes he would. He might be more intelligent than his brother, that doesn't make him less stuborn. By helping you, I made him lose face, so now I can bet you a thousand septim that he won't tell you, and that he'll ask all the others of the inner circle not to tell you either. See, he really didn't like your brother, and he isn't the only one. Good thing for you that I overheard what they said when he left..."

"What, so you could tell me where my brother has gone?"

"I could."

And to think I had seen him as chivalrous when he came to my help...

image.thumb.jpeg.a94b364eb554c4664ea2825443ade776.jpeg

"So what, you're saying that I'll have to sleep with you for you to tell me?" I asked, angry but unable to hide the hint of desperation in my voice.

"Nah, where would be the fun in that? The Challenge? This is Jorrvaskr, we fight for what we want."

image.thumb.jpeg.448ffea4aeabf9805e4f5daddb61869f.jpeg

"What are you saying?"

"I am saying that I'll tell you, only you'll have to beat me in hand to hand combat for it. The deal is, I don't choose when we fight, you do. You train, alone, with the girls, even with me if you want, and when you feel ready, you and I have a fight. If I lose, I tell you all that I know about your brother, if you lose... Well, first time you'll get a freebie, kind off, you'll suck me off but I'll restrain from helping myself to your juicy cunt, second time and all the ones after, we'll fuck."

"And what makes you think that I'll agree to your terms?"

"You came all the way to Skyrim to search for your brother, right? Don't know if that's just sisterly worry or if you want to bring him back for a reason or another, but something tells me that you don't want to go back empty handed. That would be a pity too, not only do I think that you actually have the making of a warrior but let's face it, I can't wait to fuck you silly. Also, had you not talked about Enntu, Vilkas would have been much softer with you. He's kind of a softie with ladies in fact when you don't rub him the wrong way."

"Pah fine, I'll make you eat those words, you hear, with a serving of my feet up your ass."

"We'll see about that, lass, and we'll see who ends up with something up the ass. So what about you ask tilma where to rest your head, something tells me that you just became our new apprentice."

a(1).thumb.jpg.65ee8afa18916d4c61eb39c97d2885b0.jpg

Later that day, I found Tilma and asked if there was a bed I could use. Apparently, she already knew who I was and why I was here. She probably knew also how easily I had been defeated by Vilkas, but there really wasn't anything I could do about it. Obviously I didn't have my own room, only members of the circle did. So I was in what was considered the women's room.

image.thumb.jpeg.668b31a638a02366d336bfb22fb8da88.jpeg

The fact that the men's room wasn't even separated from ours by a curtain didn't stop Ria from sleeping in the nude.

image.thumb.jpeg.c3ee74d5c95f2acd2d84399cffbe4359.jpeg

All the opposite of Njada who kept her armor on even inside, removing it only when she got into bed and putting it back on as soon as she got up. When I questioned her about that, she gruffly answered that I might move better in mine if I did the same.

image.thumb.jpeg.998950688ec16e8223925d8b5e1a3524.jpeg

Next morning I started training. Strangely enough, Njada, who had appeared very abrasive at first, seemed to think that it was her job to make a warrior out of me. And we didn't start our training with sword, axe and shield, but with running. Njada telling me that I couldn't hope to get any better if I didn't get fitter. Obviously, she made fun of my body shapes which aren't exactly what you expect on a warrior, but I bid my time, getting ready to show her the strength I kept hidden under all the jiggle she made so much fun off.

Still, I couldn't fathom how she could run like that with, not only with her armor, as light as it was it was still boiled leather and metal, but also carrying her shield and sword... And I guess that I must have been a funny sight, huffing and puffing behind her as Whiterun's citizens kept watching us while we ran around the town, once, twice, thrice...

image.thumb.jpeg.adf5140df7d53840dd05203ec455999b.jpeg

We were on the wall walk on the upper west side of town when I finally stumbled and couldn't get up any more. Standing above me, Njada looked down at me and said:

"Is that the way you intend to be with Athis? Well, I guess kneeling in front of him like that will make things easier. And you aren't even wearing your armor. Though considering this huge monstruosity I can relate."

"Pah! What is... Hah...  It with you all and... Hah... My armor? Hah... Hah...I did it with my father. Hah... He's a smith... A renowned one. Pfouh... Hah...  He makes some armor for... A lot of soldiers... Hah... And nobody ever complained!" I said, managing to grit my teeth with frustration even as I labored to breathe.

image.thumb.jpeg.e7bdd4397b718c1ef81f818cdda31541.jpeg

She softened at that. Kneeling in front of me, she answered.

"Listen girl. I meant no disrespect to your father. I am sure that his armor is a good one for soldiers, probably officers who have a horse to carry the armor up to the battle place, but it is too heavy for a lone fighter. If you intend to become a companion, you need an armor that will protect you from some damage, but that will let you avoid most of it. The best armor in the world won't save you if you can't dodge an giant's hammer. That's something you avoid, if an armor is big enough to take it the impact will still put you on the ground, and good luck getting back up while it pummels you to the ground. Also, if the fight goes on, you need stamina to carry it around. Your armor is probably heavier than what the male members of the circle carry, and believe me when I tell you that they are far stronger than you are. You need to go to see Myriani, she'll outfit you, she's the one who did all of the women companion's armors."

Thinking about it, many of my father's clients were indeed high ranking officers, some of them even specialized in fighting from horseback. Could what she was saying be true? But then looking at her I shaked my head.

"Frankly, your armor isn't one, I mean have you seen your backside?"

"I face my enemies, I don't run from them."

"Why all the running then."

"To run at them, and it's training. By Shor, stop your bickering!"

"Well, I am not convinced."

"Would a fight with me convince you?"

Later that day, after I had recovered from all the running, we were back where I had been humiliated by Vilkas. Well,I swore to myself that it wouldn't be the same with Njada.

image.thumb.jpeg.17eae63d88e24ac67165f02f819d456e.jpeg

And it wasn't, not really. She didn't flatten me in a few seconds.

image.thumb.jpeg.591f98964c0768b99dec8169314a4ac3.jpeg

At first, it went quite well. I mean, I couldn't touch her and she did touch me a few times, but that only convinced me that wearing some heavy armor was actually a good idea.

image.thumb.jpeg.bef9df9e581da797a12585a584226bdb.jpeg

However, as the fight dragged on, I still couldn't touch her while she starting getting me more and more. I tried rushing her but she just danced away and blocked all my hits with her shield.

image.thumb.jpeg.87d9390ddd46ccd2bee20e93c753a6db.jpeg

And the fact that this new defeat also had some witnesses didn't help making all of that feel better, especially considering that, amongst others, there were Athis and Vilkas watching us.

image.thumb.jpeg.e9a6670140be396bc71895759fdef9da.jpeg

Finally, after what felt like long hours but must have been more around 15 minutes of heavy sparring, one of her hit struck my helmet like a gong and I faltered, letting go of my weapons.

"By Leki, I don't get it. I thought... I thought that I knew how to fight..." I mumbled, a bit groggy from the hit I had just taken.

"Well, you don't. Not really anyway, you know some forms I see that. To tell the truth you're actually better than I thought you'd be, You have some good potential I'd say. but you lack three things to become a good warrior."

"Yeah, And what are those?" I grumbled.

"Care to fill in, Vilkas?" she asked.

"Nah, she's your pup for now, we'll see later if she deserves a circle chaperone." Answered the big nord.

image.thumb.jpeg.755da6a94aa42f6d172f4739a6b80130.jpeg

"Ok, first you need experience. You say that your brother and father trained you. Well, I can see that they did teach you, but they didn't train you. You know some forms, but you need to practice with people fighting back like Vilkas and I did. And if I guess correctly, not like your brother did with his precious little sister."

Thinking back, it was true that Enntu had never really fought back, telling me where there was some flaws in my defense, but never really hitting me back.

"I guess that I see your point. What about the others."

"You need to work on managing your effort, when you hit and you don't touch, you'll tire yourself out, your opponent is a living being, not a log to hack at . Also, you'll need more stamina, hence the running."

"Fine, third?"

"Torvar? What do you think" She asked to another nord who had watched our sparring session.

"Easy, she needs an armor she can move in." By Leki, him too! "From what I saw when you're out of that thing, you got enough meat to carry around. Not that I'm complaining, you hear? Love them fat ass and jiggly titties of yours. But you don't need to add this huge metal thing that must weigh as much as an anvil on top of it."

Without a word, Njada looked at me.

"Alright! I'll go see your smith and give it a try, but does it have to be so... So... You know."

Njada looked away, apparently annoyed.

"Well, I had some objections to that, as did Aela and Ria, but I guess that's how she likes them. She says that it'll help distract our opponents and I am sure that it does, but yeah, it takes some getting used to. That or the guys here are paying her to make us look like whores playing dress up."

"I didn't." Said the nord leaning on the wall. "But if someone else did I'll offer him a drink whenever he wants. Can't wait to see how Myriani will dress you up new blood, I'm sure that it'll be much more enjoyable to see than what you're wearing now."

"Yeah, I am being less and less convinced that your advice was actually for my benefit." I grumbled.

"Yes it is! But I can enjoy it too can't I? Mutual benefit you call taht, right?"

image.thumb.jpeg.983797c29b181f30880b210378d498d7.jpeg

Miriani was a bosmer, At least I think that's what she is, she might be of mixed ancestry, I don't know, we never talked about that. She's an elf, she's small if frankly well endowed, and when I finally went to the sky forge to meet her, she chirped at me:

"Ah, you're the new one, wondered when you'd get up here but I knew it wouldn't be long before you tired of that monstruosity you call an armor."

I bit back the good daughter's reply and just smiled while she continued.

"But by Mara are you big, and I do mean big, not tall, not that I mind, I actually like to articulate my work around real women, actually it is kind of my speciality, I made armor for some of the best endowed warrior women around here. I can tell already that you'll be magnificent in it"

Well, I had seen her work and I couldn't say that I was that enthousiast about it but well. It was worth a try.

"Eorlund won't let me make you a skyforge steel armor until you really become a companion, but I should be able to do something for you before that. Now, let me have a look at you.

image.thumb.jpeg.853c32567ba178c56895cb569fb603b1.jpeg

She then stood up and looked at me, turning around me and mumbling to herself. I thought that she would ask me to undress, or at least to take some measurements, but after a while, she just said that I could go, and to come back in a week and a half to adjust it.

After that, my life in Jorrvaskr started to unfold. Getting up early, going to run with Njada, then sparring sessions with her interspersed with short resting times until the evening where we would go to run again before going out to wash in the cold river.

image.thumb.jpeg.8327d6a8c07edbd61c2c8be05258ae19.jpeg

It's out there, naked with her that I finally asked her why she was helping me.

"Well, two reasons really." She told me. "First, there is a common dislike of your brother in Jorrvaskr, a dislike that spoiled your welcome when you came in and started praising him."

"What did he do for you guys to hate him like that?" I asked.

"It's not for me to say. We aren't supposed to speak about the Companion's business with outsiders, and for now, that's what you are. But I don't like to make someone pay for another one's mistakes. Hence the help."

image.thumb.jpeg.8f1017f0380cd3b9d213915d085ce90f.jpeg

"Well, I appreciate it. Really. And I think that I can guess the second reason. You dislike Athis and you want to help me beat him, right? I mean, I saw him humliate you when I first came in, and I guess that he's the one who wrote on your back right? Is it permanent or will it fade?"

She looked at me for a while, apparently lost in thought, before answering.

"Right. And wrong. It's complicated. The writing will fade, it takes around two weeks. About Athis, I don't really dislike him, but let's say that I hold some responsibility in how he is today."

"How so?" I asked, now curious.

"Well, when we joined more or less at the same time. He was a good fighter, but a terrible brawler, and I made fun of him for that. A lot. I used to defy him and humiliate him in front of the others. I didn't think much of it back then, but apparently he did. He left and went back to Morrowind for a while. There, he studied in a martial arts school for 2 or 3 years before coming back.  First thing he did was challenge me to a duel. Before he left, i had said that' I'd sleep with him if he ever beat me, and he did, many times since his return."

"Oh... I see. So... How good is he?"

"He is good. He wouldn't be able to go toe to toe with the best the Companions have to offer weapons in hands, far from it, I mean punches and kicks are well and good but against a trained warrior with weapons in hands, it isn't really a game changer. But bare fisted, He is surprisingly quick, and cunning. Not unbeatable, I almost managed it a few times, but he is a tricky one."

"Hum... Thanks for the insight. That helps." I said.

It didn't really. Actually it was more depressing than anything else. If I couldn't beat him, I just had to hope that the other companions weren't that bull headed and that I still could learn something about Enntu once I was one of them. Or I could try to beat him anyway. I mean, he was an elf, he was probably quick, but if I rushed him maybe I could overpower him... I mean, I was strong, bigger and heavier than him, and before coming here, I had worked the forge with my father. If I got my hands on him... Anyway, I had a free try, sort off, I mean sucking him off would be terrible, but i still could tell myself that it wasn't really being unfaithfull to Trenseth, my fiance who was waiting for my return in the Imperial city. I mean getting naked for him would be humiliating, but I hadn't exactly shown a radiant image since I arrived. If he beat me, I could at least see how good he was... Actually more determined now that I had thought about it, I decided that there wasn't any point in waiting any more.

That evening, I ate light but nourrishing food, didn't drink any alcohol and went to bed early. The day after, when Njada told me to come jog with her I told her that I'd pass., that I'd got something else to do.

"Are you about to do something stupid, girl?" She asked.

"No... Well, maybe, but that's something that I have to do."

"Fine, don't come crying when it doesn't turn out the way you hope it does."

Shaking he head, she left me while I got out of the dormitory to go searching for Athis.

I found him outside training on one of the wooden dummy. Seeing me coming towards him, he smiled and went to lean on the wall at his usual place.

image.thumb.jpeg.9a8dcab7d43ffac9dc2f5c661fa06557.jpeg

"So, are you finally ready to suck my cock, lass?"

"Ready to break your teeth, you mean? Yeah, definitely. So how and where?"

image.thumb.jpeg.abf8138b4e2e5bb39bdef6b28a2c9729.jpeg

"In the great hall, wouldn't want you to use a lack of witness to call me a cheater or to go back on your word."

"What? How dare you?"

"Well, your brother wasn't exactly one to honor his promises."

"Enough with these things about my brother, you guys keep telling me that you won't tell me anything about him, yet you all keep insulting him! I'll fight you, and if I lose I'll do as you say, ok?"

"Good, I'll go remove my armor and I'll meet you there then."

image.thumb.jpeg.6ed8732282f068b5d81824441f67dc7d.jpeg

About one hour later, we were in the great hall and most of the companions were there, watching us. Athis had told every one about our duel and what each of us had bet. When he had, Vilkas and a few others seemed annoyed, but nobody refuted him the right to talk if he lost, which was something I had feared. It least, I wouldn't be fighting for nothing.

Now that everything was in place, we got ready to fight.

image.thumb.jpeg.1ed3fd9fd1544924796dc1d6b10ec818.jpeg

We circled each other for a while. Watching him, I couldn't really see anything particular that would hint at some bare handed fighting schooling. There were some martial arts school in the imperial City and all of them had their own stance, but he just looked like a regular brawler to me. Still, it wouldn't hurt to be prudent. Keeping my guard as closed as I could, I waited for him to throw the first punch.

image.thumb.jpeg.aa784df3adb84c4c3d0ee9892f5ea2a0.jpeg

Soon, the people around started to make fun of us, asking us what kind of dance it was. As if that had triggered him, Athis started to attack.

image.thumb.jpeg.16fa265268e6085ab0541715bd183770.jpeg

Frankly, there wasn't anything special to his punches. I blocked a few, they were neither powerful, nor particularly quick. If that was what Njada was afraid of, then she was a good warrior but really a terrible brawler.

image.thumb.jpeg.ca2b637d8d1ba117b28beea4ec3effcb.jpeg

I jabbed at him and he jumped back, a fearful expression on his face, his guard completely opened.

image.thumb.jpeg.e21e6e8db64f7ee5b674718dd4c24491.jpeg

Now really annoyed at having feared him, I put all I had in a strong punch, getting ready to knock him out. Considering the strength I had felt in his previous punches, there was no way for him to block that.

image.thumb.jpeg.251d8478c0666b8dafd1b19c4c19774a.jpeg

That's why I was really surprised first, when he easily diverted my punch while sidestepping me...

image.thumb.jpeg.a82a3d633ca778a1577d37eb66ca27cb.jpeg

... And then when he sweeped my feet under me as I was still unbalanced.

image.thumb.jpeg.bbb425d279cbaeac1208b9e4f0457fac.jpeg

What? How?

I had the time to notice Njada's look of pity, and I crashed down on the floor.

image.thumb.jpeg.6eccbb0e030b82e6132da35396e4e861.jpeg

I was still trying to understand what had just happened to me when Athis turned me on my back and grabbed me by the throat.

"Do you yield?" He asked.

Fuck you and all your ancestors is what I wanted to answer.

"Fhhhh..." Is all I could manage.

"Do you yield?" He asked again. "If you do blink twice.

I tried to shake him off but couldn't, his fingers like a vice around my throat. Finally, seeing stars, I blinked once, then twice.

image.thumb.jpeg.1923baa640e2912f6d24ee7c4992c75e.jpeg

As soon as he let go of me I stood up and walked away from him, feeling my cheeks heat up with the shame of defeat, and of what was to come.

"You pretended to be weak, you... You tricked me!" I finally managed to say.

"Well, better that than pretending to be strong, isn't it lass? And deception is part of the art of war. Now how about you get out of these clothes and get ready to give me what you owe me."

image.thumb.jpeg.477b597fad9622d495efca6e3aeac069.jpeg

"What? Not here! You never said anything about doing it in public! Let's go to your room."

"I don't have a room, only the circle members do. If we go down there, people will follow and you'll still end up with an audience albeit a more cramped one. And anyway, I never said anything about it not being in public. Now stop trying to wiggle out of what you owe me and undress, or is your word worth as much as your fighting prowess?"

Mortified but seeing no way out of this situation, I then started to undress.

image.thumb.jpeg.8005d58e9bafe949873d84da4a065ca0.jpeg

"By Shor! Thoses tits are huge! You could feed all of Whiterun's babies with those puppies I am sure." Exclaimed Skjor, his eyes glued on my breasts.

"I'll lend her to you when I'll have finished taming her." Answered Athis.

"I... I despise you." I said, looking away.

"Yet you're about to suck my dick. Now, what does that say about you?" he jeered.

image.thumb.jpeg.4667730905b3fba75b193ebfd0a7210e.jpeg

Since I couldn't make myself look him in the eyes, my eyes roamed along his naked body and fell on his manhood. Fuck he was big! Trenseth was maybe half as long as him, and even thinner. When I had seen him naked the first time we had made love, I had assumed that, as the saying went, elves were smaller than men in that regard. Well, that wasn't true for Athis.

"So girl, Do you know how to do what you must? Done it before?"

"I... Not that it is your business, but yeah. I have a fiance you know?" I answered, blushing even more.

"Well, is that what fiance behave in hammerfell? And they say Dunmer are wanton. Now, will you keep looking at it, or will you finally get on your knees and do what you must?"

image.thumb.jpeg.a5f52d1b50d5022de33d9af56b0c9efe.jpeg

Well, waiting wouldn't make it go away. Ashamed I kneeled in front of him and took it in my hand. He started hardening almost instantly and very soon he was standing at the ready. Big, so big... Almost without thinking, I got my face closer and started kissing its length. Lifting my eyes I could see Athis looking down at me at flet my cheeks burning with shame.

image.thumb.jpeg.7ed1dbed095dc8773877b19d46f4618e.jpeg

Unable to hold his gaze, I looked away, all the while I kept kissing and pumping his manhood slowly. His smell was filling my nostrils. It should have repulsed me, it was the smell of someone I despised, the smell of another man than my bethroted, yet it didn't, far from it...

image.thumb.jpeg.58f245bd1a6462b64b2eeef0c80c1ec6.jpeg

"Enough playing around, slut. Take me in." He ordered.

Well, I had promised han't I? Opening my lips, feeling like the lowliest tavern wench, I let him slowly slide inside my mouth, all the while licking his underside. His musky taste filled my mouth, making my heart beat faster and stronger. By Mara, what was wrong with me? How could that excite me?

image.thumb.jpeg.d561d1e83137d00dcb31bed163956cfc.jpeg

"Look at her go. Sure as hell doesn't look forced to me." I heard a man comment.

"Well, from what I heard, Redguards are all sluts." A woman this time. Ria? Aela?

"Hmmpf... Mglumpf..." Was all I managed as an answer.

"Don't you know lass that it is bad manners to speak with your mouth full?" Asked Athis, mockingly."Now keep going. You're doing good, really good. Ah... Yes... I'll have to thank your fiance, I f I ever meet him, for having trained you so well for me."

Asshole! What a cheeky asshole! Yet here I was, sucking him off... I wanted to wring his testicules, I wanted to snap his neck, I wanted to put my hands between my thighs to do something about the flood that was happening there. By Morwha, how could such a shameful act excite me so?

image.thumb.jpeg.fe83dbee111748dc5fa08afbecaa0abc.jpeg

"Now lass, give me your hands, I want only to feel your mouth." He said, grabbing them gently but firmly.

Had he noticed? Or was that a way to assert his dominance even more? In a way I was kind of grateful. If he hadn't I don't know if I wouldn't have ended up pleasuring myself.

image.thumb.jpeg.a8576fe321e41eb2d4a36717f911f19d.jpeg

His smell was assualting my nostrils, his salty taste my tongue, his girth was making it hard to breathe, I was getting light headed, but it wasn't unpleasant, quite the opposite. I knew that there were still people around, jeering, making fun of me, but all that seemed far away, insignificant compared to the way his manhood was filling my mouth. How would it feel between may legs? I didn't know, and a part of me wanted to.

image.thumb.jpeg.b4074c74bcee5a5e9cee66240c215d35.jpeg

"By Azura, I... Oh fuck!" Gasped Athis.

He let go of my hands while his manhood felt like it was jumping in my mouth. I had always avoided to take Trenseth seed in my mouth, finding it a vile and demeaning act. But here and now, I didn't even think before getting myself ready to receive the dunmer's sperm.

image.thumb.jpeg.c1c9687d6af752b6cf68ae205c46e566.jpeg

What in Morwha's Mercy am I doing? I had the time to think. Then his hot and acrid semen starting spurting against my throat and I had to start gulping it down if I didn't want to choke on it.

We stayed like that the time for his last sprays to subside, some of his seed overflowing on my lips, then on my breasts.

"By Molag Bal, King of rape, believe me when I tell you that you are better at this than at fighting, girl. Maybe you should consider a future on your knees..."

image.thumb.jpeg.285ca727627456fd6f9f89c3625404c8.jpeg

As if a spell had been broken, I let go of his softening manhood and stood up, my face and breasts decorated by the excess that I hadn't been able to swallow.

"By Azura, girl. You're hot as the Deadlands. I am a bit tired right now, but give me some rest and I'll be happy to fight you again. I'll really enjoy making you moan on my spear." He said, breathing contentedly.

Unable to look at him, I still managed to reply: "You got me by surprise this time, next time I'll be ready for your tricks."

"Let's hope so lass. Anyway, not now obviously, i wanna be able to plow you after I make you yield and right now you've sucked me dry, but apart from that, you choose when. The wait will only make it better."

Around us. people started to leave, getting back to their own activities.

As I was recovering my clothes on the floor, I heard a voice behind me:

"You need to be careful with that one, he's a tricky one. And he has a mean strek with women."

Turning, I saw Vilkas behind me.

"Come to make fun of me, do you enjoy to see Enntu's sister defiled so?" I asked bitterly.

"Frankly, I thought I would, but no, not really. Come to my room, we've got to talk." He answered. "Seeing me look at him, he added. "Obviously finnish dressing back up before, and no funny business I swear."

He leaved then, letting me think about it. Bah, what else was there to lose? And He might be a gruff and resntful man, I still couldn't see him try to force himself on me. So once dressed I went down to his room.

image.thumb.jpeg.4f163245e34563a65b5c34cedc6905d2.jpeg

When I got there, Vilkas looked at me a while before saying:

"Err, you could have washed this off first."

Oh fuck, I was still covered in semen. As I was turning back towards the door, he lifted his hand and said:

"Anyway, no matter, you're here now."

"I am, so what do you want?"

"I spoke to the old man, about me testing you, about what Athis said then. And he agreed."

"Oh? Then what?"

"Then you'll have another chance to prove your valor, to join the companions, if you want to."

image.thumb.jpeg.cf92b5caf32020b87a390af24552feb8.jpeg

I had expected more humiliation, not that. A bit taken aback, I took a while before asking:

"If I become a companion, will you tell me about my brother?"

"No I won't, and I doubt that the others of the circle will either. Part of it is to keep our shame hidden, but believe me when I say that if you knew, you'd wish you didn't."

"Will you forbid Athis to tell me what he knows?"

"No, but I doubt that he knows much. Still they were close for a while, him and your brother, so I may be wrong. But your dealings with him, and what he makes you do are between you two. On the other hand, You've shown guts, and heart. Your arm is still lacking but we can work on that. Joining us in an honor that isn't offered to that many people."

image.thumb.jpeg.c5016f00efd2b57bd788d97126d86272.jpeg

"I... I don't know, that's not why I came here, you know that."

"Yes, but still, you fought me for the right of it. Some would consider it madness, but some would say it required courage."

"Yes, but that was to know about my brother. Now you're telling me that even if I join, you won't tell me."

"Aye. But I've seen you train with Njada, and I think that you may have come to the right place for the wrong reasons. Now you don't need to answer me now. Myriani told me that she could finish your new armor tonight. Come at Jorrvaskrr's entrance tomorrow mornig at  dawn with your new armor. If you do, I'll know that you want to prove yourself and I'll tell you of your trial. If you don't then I'll know you have chosen otherwise."

"And if I don't, what then?"

"Then you need to let go of your bed and find another place to stay. That doesn't prevent you to keep training with Njada if she still wants to and to do whatever you want with Athis, but you won't be one of us. Go now, your answer won't be in words, but in actions. Also, you really need to go wash your face and tits."

image.thumb.jpeg.fac886d15fb8dee39a9fc5f0dd59f5f3.jpeg

After washing off, I laid on my bed for a while, thinking. What was I to do? Athis had beaten me and humiliated me, but he still could tell me about my brother. He had used deception to beat me and that kind of technique didn't work when you're ready for it. On the other hand, he had still been quicker and stronger than I expected. Would I learn what I want if I kept at it? Or would I just end up more unfaithful and humiliated than I already had?

Also, did I want to join the companions? That's not why I had come here. Still, I had always thought to be a great warrior, and was apparently not as good as I thought. They were willing to make me one of them, to train me so that I'd end up being what I used to think I was. And even if they were rough people, both Njada and Vilkas had proven to be more decent people than I thought them to be at first...

Hard choices to make....

Spoiler

What if she chose not to become a companion?

It took me a while but I finally got up and went back to train, having made up my mind. Then when we were finished, I went up to see Myriani.

image.thumb.jpeg.f3e3b4f5bed83ca1c85420e884c4d3ff.jpeg

"So... Vilkas told me that you finished my armor, could I see it?" I said to Myriani.

She smiled mischieviously.

"Eager are you? Well, I am quite happy with what I did. We actually did it in skyforge steel, i wasn't about to, but Eorlund gave his assent, so I said why not! He even did some weapons for you, aren'you a lucky one?"

She started unpacking what looked more like a disjointed dwemmer mechanism than an armor. I couldn't even see what was supposed to go where. Seeing my confusion, Myriani laughed, then she told me to undress and started putting my new armor on me all the while explaining how I should strap it when I'd do it on my own.

image.thumb.jpeg.da2b81ee4a3e7110bef3d35833eb40a1.jpeg

"Err... Is that it?" I asked a bit flustered.

"Yes, magnificent isn't it?"

image.thumb.jpeg.a1e3e8b3b9bc46662cea3d7c9984365e.jpeg

"I have almost no armor on the back, it is as if I wanted people to look at my ass!"

"Well, you're supposed to face your enemies you know, and you have your shield brother and sister to watch your back so no protection needed, and then why wouldn't you give them a peek at these nice buttocks of yours as thanks for protecting you?" She said winking.

By Leki, this bosmer was completely crazy! Why had I said yes to such madness?

image.thumb.jpeg.31d8d1340439b920bc1b26c4310e7311.jpeg

Oblivious to what I was thinking, Myriani handed me a shield and a war axe. Ok, at least these seemed to be proper weapons. From what I had gathered, they had been made by Eorlund, the smith of the male companions. Good thing we had the same weapons as our male counterparts, if not what would I have ended with? A half axe and an empty circle as a shield? Taking them in hand, I had to admit that they had great balance, looking strong and still feeling light.

image.thumb.jpeg.d54498f2e861b55de605d2e7776be8cf.jpeg

"He even did a great axe for you, here." She said, handing me another weapon.

Well, I was more of a shield and one handed axe person, but I guessed it could come in handy, and the craftsmanship was incredible.

"So what do you say Njada, doesn't she look fierce and sexy at the same time?" Asked Myriani.

"She looks great Myriani. But we don't need to look sexy, you know, we're warriors."

"You're women warrior, you should always go for fierce AND sexy."

"Well, if you say so. But one thing's certain, she'll be able to move better now."

"Well, sure I will, but there are holes in this armor, am I really going to be protected in that?" I asked.

"Of course you will." Said Myriani, and the weight gain will allow you to avoid most hits that would have hit you before. Njada, Ria and Aela have all had your kind of worry too at first, but did they come back to their horrible bulky things after a few fights? Of course not!

Well, It was true that those three were aknowledged as warriors by the others and they were still fighting in Myriani's armor, so I could at least give it a try.

After thanking Myriani, I went to bed early. After all, my trial was tomorrow.

It was early morning when I met Vilkas in Front of Jorrvaskr. Arriving there, I saw that Njada was there too.

"Good, you're here. Njada was sure that you'd come, but I still wasn't convinced." He said.

"Well, I accepted Myriani's arms and armor, it would be pretty petty to leave after that."

"I agree. But the world is full of petty people. For instance..."

"Yeah, I know. According to you my brother would have taken the armor, ran away and probably kicked an old lady on his way out, right? That's what you were about to say?"

He laughed at that.

"Yeah, pretty much. My dislike for him taints the way I see you and it's unfair. Sorry about that. Accomplish your mission now, and you'll have earned my apologies."

"And the truth about my brother?"

"Don't push it lass, I already told you no."

image.thumb.jpeg.9b9de8ad606ee402138595a929994c78.jpeg

"Worth a try. So, how do I prove myself to you?"  I asked.

"There are bandits a few hours out of Whiterun, hidden in a cave on the plains west of the city. We've know of them for a while but didn't care much when they just asked for some bribe to the merchants they ambushed. However lately they've started to abduct women. A man here in Whiterun had to buy back his own daughter from an inn wher she was forced to whore herself out to "pay back her debt". That is to say the price the bandits sold her to the innkeeper. We aren't the guards, but that man has paid us so that these bandist be dealt with. Also, we don't care about the law that much, but we dislike people who pray on the weak. So you'll go there, and deal with them. Njada will accompany you. To help you, but also to see if you're fit to be called our shield sister."

Taking on a bandit camp just the two of us. Either they thought highly of me, or they wanted me to fail. But they wouldn't send Njada if they expected her to die there would they? I took a deep breath, then nodded.

"Fine, I'll do it."

"Good. I hope that you'll come back to me as my sister, and not as Enntu's one."

Not wanting to argue about my brother one more time, I just nodded and left, hearing Njada follow me.

image.thumb.jpeg.c0cb246de35dc02b90bdd5eaa0e8984e.jpeg

As Njada advised me, we didn't try to avoid the dangers the wildlife of Skyrim posed in order for me to get used to my new arms and armor.

image.thumb.jpeg.4bea1a5816b390917270aa60fe0ae703.jpeg

Apparently, Eorlund had even asked for some favors and my weapons were both enchanted with a life drain effect, allowing me to soak light injuries as long as I could hurt back my opponents.

image.thumb.jpeg.93c4e2633252a3f828ea6508485677a8.jpeg

I had been worried about not having the vigor drain that my father had me put on my axe. However, I realised that I really could fight easier and longer with my new set of armor, even without stamina drain. Sure I felt more vulnerable, but that actually made me more cautious.

image.thumb.jpeg.f097916a7bdb46d5310f5357dd4146c4.jpeg

All in all, I had to admit that I felt better with these new weapons and armor. Perhaps there was something to say about being able to let go of old ideas. Still, I didn't enjoy having my butt on display for all of Skyrim, but well, if that was the price to pay to be a better warrior...

When we finally got there. I wondered if we had the right place. Sure, it was discreet enough, while still being close to a road, but the entrance wasn't even guarded.

image.thumb.jpeg.2ef5d63171deb2bcb8ae000e1fce3e7a.jpeg

When I asked Njada about it, she didn't seem surprised about it.

"You know, bandits are most of the time left alone. They are a nuisance, sure, but with the war going on, the jarls just don't have the manpower to actually do something about any of them. So apart from when they really do something to piss someone off, like these ones did, then they can do whatever they want without really facing any consequences to their actions."

"That's crazy. And how many are there going to be inside, you reckon."

"Don't know. Bandits are rarely less than five or more than twenty. I'd say around ten probably."

"Ten? Can we really take ten people just the two of us?"

"hah, scared already? Well, don't let yourself be surrounded. And remember, most bandits are losers who couldn't do anything else with their lives. They'll have weapons, but that doesn't make them warriors. Now it's time to see what you're made of."

image.thumb.jpeg.b74da67f6d08e49c7f2f3721e55f4970.jpeg

We got in, trying to move as silently as we could. However we hadn't made ten steps inside the cave when a mean looking dog jumped at me from nowhere. I blocked his bite with my shield and made short work of it, but it's dying whine resonated in the hide out. Time for stealth was over.

image.thumb.jpeg.773f8c24c6f5f4a9b5146cf675505318.jpeg

Two bandits jumped out of a side corridor with bow in hands. Shield high, I managed to get block their first shots, and then we were rushing forward.

image.thumb.jpeg.7b6609f7b84625648fa2cbb0b55325a5.jpeg

Probably thinking that her lighter armor would make Njada an easier pray, the one I was rushing tried to get her before I got to him, but he was taken by surprise by the speed at which I reached him. By Leki, the girls were right, I was much swifter with these armors. With two slashes of my axe I dispatched my first bandit.

image.thumb.jpeg.361bda7daf962138f8e1ca003f6757a1.jpeg

"I'll take this corridor so that they can't surround us. Now go, and remember, avoid open spaces and you'll be alright." said Njada before running where the two bandits had come from.

I was supposed to go alone? I felt fear gnaw at my guts, but I pushed forward never the less. Now it was do or die. I got to an opening and another bandit came forward, brandishing a claymore. Remembering Njada's advice, I didn't come to him. When he joined me in the corridor, his greatsword ended up being more af liability than a help and I killed him quickly.

image.thumb.jpeg.5ec61f5e5ed8a041b0413d4b2cc79051.jpeg

Others came after him. I blocked, and blocked, and parried, and blocked and side-stepped to hack and another one fell. Then another one. My arms felt like lead, I was terrified, and at the same time I was filled with a strange sense of glee. I was doing it! I was fighting and winning, maybe I wasn't such a failure after all! Bashing a bandit with my shield, I crushed his head with my axe and breathed. I had done it, all was silent in the room in front of me. Panting, I stepped in.

image.thumb.jpeg.33d66025ddbc09650ca3180912bc544b.jpeg

That's when a last one jumped at me. I barely had the time to block and he was attacking again, and again. I tried to hit back but it was his turn to interpose his shield, a big monstruosity that looked dwemmer made. His weapon on the other hand, was small and light, a short sword, or even a big dagger and I couldn't find the time to attack me while he pummeled me.

image.thumb.jpeg.5db6383f578cf61038c6c8a02eb2b0be.jpeg

He was pushing me back, I had tried to get back in the corridor but, not daring to stop watching him for a second I had missed it and was pushed back in the room where a girl was screaming some muffled call for help.

"Let go of your weapon and you'll live slut. Don't and I'll behead you and fuck your windpipe!" Snarled my opponent.

Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! What could I do? One of my legs  and my right arm were bleeding and he kept coming while I felt that I wouldn't be able to hold him back for long.

"He's got better speed, use your reach!" I heard Njada scream above the clash of battle to my left.

I let go of my axe and shield and he smirked, thinking that I was surrendering. His eyes then went wide with shock as I grabbed my greataxe and pushed him back. Was that dishonorable? frankly I didn't care. Since he was at the right distance I hit him with all my might before he had the time to recover. My first hit made him stumble, the second had him let go of his shield with a yelp of pain, the third one silenced him forever.

image.thumb.jpeg.9106bf3a71f5796bcd3d93c606a234cd.jpeg

I turned around to go help Njada but saw her finish her last opponent around that time. Breathing hard, I stayed there a while, my head spinning, using all my resolve just to stand upright. Behind me, I saw that the mufled cries for help were coming from a naked, hooded and chained girl that was standing there, probably another victim of the bandits. Well, she was their last.

image.thumb.jpeg.ff59fcb3c4cb1e02208b40172ef2c4a6.jpeg

After that, we took the time to loot the bodies and search the cave for money and other carriable riches. After all, to the victors went the spoils. We also rescued the poor girl. Considering her color of skin, probably a redguard like me or at least a half blood.

Once we had finished, we went back to Whiterun. This time staying on the road to avoid the wild life. It would be a pity to have rescued this poor girl and have her killed by a sabercat if we weren't careful enough.

image.thumb.jpeg.6e6b311672e41454f93ef1bf16bc9860.jpeg

In Whiterun, after letting the girl in the care of the priests of Kynareth, we went back to Vilkas who was waiting for us.

"Back already? I take it the bandits are no more?"

"Wormfood is what they are." Said Njada.

image.thumb.jpeg.2c1e869ad803572c50dd99506d455fbd.jpeg

"And how did our newest sister do?"

"She fought proudly, and took on the bandit chief by herself while I was taking care of the riffraff. She went in, bravely, stood to the end, and I'd say that I'm pretty sure that she didn't even wet herself."

"What? Of course I didn't" I said indignantly.

Vilkas laughed at that.

"Ah, don't worry lass, even if you did, many do during their first battle. You did good, and I have to say that I am happy to have misjudged you. Will you let me call you sister."

"I will, as long as you stop sullying the name of my other brother. If you won't tell me about him, at least stop insulting him when I am here."

"Fair enough, i'll do my best. Now get out of all this metal, clean of the dust of the travels and the blood of your foes and get in your nicest dress. There is a new companion in Jorrvaskr today, and that is cause for celebration!"

After that, Njada and I went and bathed while Jorrvaskr buzzed with activity around us, getting the hall ready for a party. My party. I hadn't found my older brother, but had apparently earned a new family. Not that it would stop me from searching some more, but not now, not for a while. I had earned the right to rest and celebrate for a few days.

What? Was my story too long? Or do my tits make it hard to concentrate on what i'm saying? Anyway, you're the one who asked, the least you could do is pretend to listen. My brother? Yeah i finally heard about him, but I talked a long time and my throat is parched, now if you were to buy me some mead, then maybe we could talk some more, or maybe we could...

"Arana! A dragon's been sighted nearby!" Says Athis running to me.

image.thumb.jpeg.760b1725e9571b28348e5367e764ac02.jpeg

I immediately stand up.

"What? Where?"

Hearing that, Njada leaves the man she was talking to at the counter and joins us.

"Next to riverwood." Answers Athis. "Also, we just received some info about a big orc and some shady people doing some kind of ritual up around Bleakfalls Barrow."

image.thumb.jpeg.25ddc496015901842580403980536412.jpeg

"Is that asshole at it again? When will he understand that those dragon souls are mine! At least no sign of that elven Dragonwhore... Well, sorry milord, but we'll have to postpone our drink, and our further... Discussion. Duty calls. Athis, Njada, with me, let's go kill us some dragon, and maybe an orc fake dragonborn while we're at it."

I stride out of the inn, Njada and Athis following on both side.
