Anvil CTD

Hi i seem to be having a problem. Whenever i get in the area of anvil or try to fast travel to the city or it's surrounding areas i CTD. I'm going to post my load order here. Any help would be appreciated. I use wyrebash and boss. My bashed patch is currently active.

I recommend you do a couple of things:

 

1. Drop DeadlyReflex 6 - Combat Moves.esp below your bashed patch.

2. Grab the NifSE update: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/21292

3. Grab the DR6 NifSE update fix: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/40336

4. Get rid of your duplicate: Lop-ears Elf.esp or Lop-ears Elf_mini.esp - pick only one.

5. Move all of the stuff you have below your bashed patch to up above it. Rebuild your bashed patch if necessary.

6. Check the readme.txt to see if you are supposed to use one or the other on these:

nudeshynudejailClassic.esp

7. Disable these:

TSS Custom Companion Template.esp

Toaster Says Share Faction Recruitment.esp

They are extremely buggy and can cause all sorts of problems. You can leave Toaster Says Share v3.esm enabled as it will allow you to access the inventories of other NPC's if you like doing that sort of thing.

8. I don't really recommend using these two:

Mounted_Spellcasting_Deadly_Reflex_Compatible.esp

DRSplatter.esp

They are the weak link for DR6 and can be very buggy. Use them if you want but be aware they can cause stability problems. Horse combat is problematic in Oblivion and the DRsplatter has had issues. Your call.

Thank you ark of truth. And thank you gregahit, you been a Great help whenver i've had oblivion problems . You were right about checking nudeshy. only one should have been active. I rebuilt my bash patch and so far it still seems to CTD for some reason. I was doing the butcher of armidale questline as part of the Tears of the fiend mod. Also the first thing that happened earlier that i forgot to add was that my fast travel wouldn't work. period. it would freeze and go unresponsive every time i fast traveled. i whent back a bit and it worked again.

 

I just whent back to one of my earliest saves and going to anvil works fine. I think i'm just going to start over. It's not a huge deal i've had to do it before lol. Any other comments or help would still be appreciated. Even if it doesn't work for me it might for someone else.

 

 

Thanks alot for the help guys . Hopefully in a week when i get my new computer up and running again i won't have and problems downlaoding and playing oblivion on it. Keep your fingers crossed?

Before you start over try the following:

Find a nice cozy inn or other safe interior place.

Wait for 3 days to allow the world to reset.

Try going to Anvil again.

 

Sudden CTDs that happen in areas previously working may be the result of a corrupt creature spawn. Allowing that spawn to reset should fix such CTDs.
