About This File

Tweaked the mermaid tops a bit to show the nipples. Ive added a few options to choose from. There is a skin detail that uses the "Skin Detail, Dimple (Left)" category. But this can be easily changed using Sims 4 Studio if you prefer it using another slot type. The neat advantage of the skin detail option, is that it allows you to wear other outfits over it.

I've also included an override that replaces the default tops. As well as a standalone if you want to keep the originals untouched. In addition i also included a zip with some modders resources like the Alpha channel layer and specular maps.

The skin detail version does not include a normal map. As i couldn't figure out a way to add it and make it work. The normal map adds slight bumpy detail to the texture. But it's not really very noticeable and the specular map which adds the shiny effect works perfectly, so i doubt you will notice it.

But if you do really want the normal maps then simply use the standalone or override. But you lose out on the option to wear other clothing over the scales then.

The override and standalone tops uses the default mesh. But if you want to use your own preferred top mesh, then you can easily switch that out using Sims4Studio.

Simply open up the package of your favorite boob mod in S4S. For example if using Sopor's Allure boobs, then open up "S-AllureDR.package".

Once open, go to the meshes tab and press export mesh and save it to somewhere you can find easily. You will need to have Blender installed to export the mesh, but S4S will tell you this and link you to where you can download it.

Now open up the mermaid override or standalone packages you want to add the freshly exported mesh to. And as before go to the meshes tab, but this time pick import mesh and find the mesh you exported earlier. Then click save and you're good to go.

I also included a mermaid fin tweak that adjust the layer order of the fin textures so they go over the top texture and tattoos. This is optional and just something i did mostly for myself. If you want to adjust the layer order yourself then you can do so in Sims 4 Studio. And then in the Warehouse tab for each CAS part find SortLayer and either increase or decrease that number yo your liking. The scale tops are set to 10100, and tattoos are normally set to 3000. Set higher value if you want it over, or vice versa if you want it under. Don't ask me to add more options for different layer orders, as it's very tedious to change this. And quite easy for anyone to tweak themselves.

The screenshots where taken using Sopor's Allure breast mod.
