About This File

By request, I'm re-hosting my mod, Sorted Potions, to LL, for the benefit of those who can't/don't use the Steam Workshop.

The original upload can be found here.

Description:

Basically, this mod renames nearly every potion in the game, so that they are sorted in a more user-friendly manner.

Potions will now be sorted by function, and then by strength. Therefore, if you have many different kinds of potions, either in your inventory or in any other container, it will be easier and faster for you to find the potion you're looking for.

For example, let's say you need a "regenerate health" potion. In vanilla, those potions are named, in order of strength,

Potion of Regeneration

Draught of Regeneration

Solution of Regeneration

Philter of Regeneration

Elixir of Regeneration

Because Skyrim sorts your inventory alphabetically (absent any alternate sorting provided by SkyUI), your "regenerate health" potions will be spread out all over the place. The level 2 potion will be near the top of the list, along with every other potion you have that begins with "Draught". The level 5 potion will follow shortly after, and the potions that begin with P or S will be near the bottom of the list.

With Sorted Potions, you will instead see your "regenerate health" potions grouped together, 1 2 3 4 5. All of your fortification potions will be grouped together, sorted by effect, 1 2 3 4 5. Your poisons will all be sent to the top of the list, sorted by effect, and then by strength.

And so when you need a potion or poison, you can scroll down to find the type you want, see every potion you have with that effect grouped together, and easily compare and pick the one you want to use.

Some potions with special names (Philter of the Phantom, Frostbite Venom, Lotus Extract, The White Phial) have not been renamed, but they still sort fairly well. Philter of the Phantom, Frostbite Venom, and Lotus Extract will end up near the top of the list, with your poisons. The White Phial will end up at or near the very bottom of the list.

Installation:

This is a very simple mod, consisting of only one file: the ESP. However, the mod comes in four different flavors. PICK ONLY ONE and throw its esp into your data folder. Load order doesn't matter; you can put it wherever you want. It will conflict with any other mod that edits vanilla potions.

Originally, Sorted Potions also reduced the weight of all potions to .1. People complained, so I uploaded a second version that did not change the weights - Sorted Potions Vanilla Weights. If you have the Dragonborn expansion, pick one of the archives that says Dragonborn in the file name, so that your Potions of Well-being will be sorted.

Dawnguard does not add any potions that need their names edited to sort well.

Uninstallation:

Delete the .esp. This mod runs no scripts and should not require any clean saving.

Permissions:

You have permission to include this mod in any derivative work, so long as you mention me in the credits with a link back to the original mod (either here or on the Steam Workshop)

You have permission to re-host this mod on other websites, EXCEPT FOR THE NEXUSMODS.COM FAMILY OF WEBSITES, so long as I am credited as above.

In case I wasn't clear, DO NOT UPLOAD THIS MOD TO THE NEXUS.
