Shea: What's going on? 



Shea: Vinheim...



Queen's Blade: Milady, should we take her?



The First Queen: No. Let her see what she's done for a moment. For she's already done a lot, for such a petty little vampire far too proud and self concerned to do anything more than survive.



The First Queen: They could've lived, if Shea wasn't so keen to annoy.



Eleavoir: Shea, we-

Shea: Don't say anything. Go.



Shea: I started this. I won't let anyone else get caught up in it. Leave. Now.



Errwarld: I'll stay too, these were my men, I shouldn't turn my back on them.



Shea: Come down, your highness! Won't you fight me like you did before?



Queen's Blade: Milady-



The First Queen: Quiet! I appreciate her feistiness. Though it is quickly growing tiresome, like an annoying kitten just begging for a boot on its neck.



Errwarld: Lady Sanghurst, Vinctumunus, Vera go. We have this in hand.



Eleavoir: Thank you, we-

Vera: Let's be quick then? Let's not make this a waste.



Solomia: Sorry, sister, I love you-



The First Queen: They were stupid enough to let you leave. I'd advise you do it, quickly.



The First Queen: So that the fun may begin.



Queen's Blade: For once, I believe we don't need instructions.



Begevor: I believe you're right brother. I like the look of the masked one, you take the girl.



Errwarld: Stay on your toes! He'll be quicker than he looks.



Shea: If the big one is quick then you'd better grow wings soon, that one'll be faster!



Queen's Blade: Brother, would you agree that we both grow tired of talk.

Begevor: I believe I would agree; I am indeed tired of talk



Begevor: Especially when the prey is so close. We are a mere scuffle from a feast.



Queen's Blade: Then let blood be let!



Shea: You're quick, I'll give you that!

Queen's Blade: And you're merely a pain in my side!



Queen's Blade: And I get the feeling that you're a thorn that isn't going to be gone easily!

Shea: I'll never be gone easily!



Shea: And I don't talk too much!

Queen's Blade: You don't want talk? I'll give you the silence of Sithis!



Shea: Then shut up already!

Queen's Blade: Calm now! You don't want to make a mistake, do you?



Shea: You're the one with a sword over your heart!

Errwarld: There isn't cheating when fighting!

Queen's Blade: Errwarld you annoying bastard! I can still hear Begevor, he isn't done with you yet!



Shea: Thanks Errwarld! But Begevor ain't gonna give you a break!



Errwarld: Then make it worth it!



Begevor: Yargh!



Errwarld: Fucking hell!



Errwarld: Fuck...don't suppose we have a plan now...



Shea: We don't but you need to get out!

Errwarld: Shea, half of me is probably outside of me, I'm not going anywhere!



Errwarld: Run! Please, get to the others then come back and don't just lock her highness up again. Make sure they stay dead!

Shea: I'm not leaving you again, not like before!

Errwarld: I'm asking you to leave! Go!



The First Queen: Now this is touching. But I've never been a fan of theatrics and drama.



The First Queen: But I'll give you a choice. One of you can leave, the other will certainly die here. If you leave, you're free to live your life for as long as you can. But I'll come for you eventually and bring you amongst all my children. 



Errwarld: She's giving the option Shea! Go!



Shea: You don't think it's going to be some play? She's playing us for fools!



Begevor: Her highness, is no liar!



Errwarld: Just go...I'm tired of arguing. And your sister, Eleavoir, Vera, they're going to need a fighter, not a scholar.

Shea: They need someone willing to use what they know!

Errwarld: I've given you enough leads, you need but follow them.



Errwarld: But when you get to my home, Diathestan, tell my brother, "When the clock strikes by dusk, wings will unfurl," He'll know what it means.

Shea: You tell him yourself!



The First Queen: Oh by Molag! Just get this over with! It's yes or no! Left or right! A life for a life! It's a simple matter!



Errwarld: My men have already died here your...highness.



Errwarld: I'll lay my life down too. Even if it's the life of a scholar.



Shea: Errwarld...thank you...



Shea: When the clock strikes by dusk, wings will unfurl.
 

Several minutes earlier...



Eleavoir: How did this happen?

Vera: Why are you asking us? She was just as keen to clear us out of here!

Solomia: We can't just leave them!



Vera: Solomia dear, the guards here are the most well trained and they're already dead. Shea will have had a quick death, Errwarld too.



Vera: We should move on. Tamriel is hardly the only place in the world and I doubt that woman will cross the world for us.



Solomia: My sister just but her head on the executioner's block for you! And you'd just abandon them! Not even seek vengeance!



Eleavoir: Solomia, I feel for you, I do but we can't face that. Vinheim was brutalised and your sister and Errwarld have to. We need to move on.



Vera: See? We're the ones with our heads on straight-



Solomia: You're both assholes! If you won't stay in Skyrim and fight, then I will!



Vera: You and what army? You're not a fighter, your sister was. Just accept this and move forwards, keep momentum!



Eleavoir: We need somewhere safe first!



Eleavoir: My holdings are in Winterhold, we should be safe for a while. And the College will be keen to keep The First Queen away from their magical artifacts. She won't get far.



Solomia: You're actually thinking of running? I thought the both of you had a spine! But I'm the only one here with a backbone!



Vera: We're being realistic! Something you clearly don't understand!



Solomia: Eleavoir! Please, can't we just wait for a moment! They might be okay and we're all worrying about nothing!



Eleavoir: No! We're leaving, with or without you. The First Queen's guards will be here soon, and I doubt they'll be merciful.

Shea: Fuck...here too?



Shea: No...this can't be hers. It can't be Sol's. No...



The Queen's Phantom: Not content with another life on your hands? You're quite weak aren't you. A century of living and you still can't handle death.

Shea: Because I'm not an inhuman psycho!



The Queen's Phantom: You're an open book, you know that? You've killed for decades and had little remorse, it's time you accepted that you're a killer. You let Errwarld be killed, you could've stayed and saved him. 

Shea: I'm not a killer! I do what's necessary!

The Queen's Phantom: I'm sure your youngest brother would disagree. Edward was it?

Shea: Don't you say his name!



The Queen's Phantom: You let him die. No you killed him because you were scared and couldn't stand up for him.

Shea: No! I did it-

The Queen's Phantom: And then lust became your coping mechanism. Oh my your mind is a twisted, wicked place. Do you even love her? Or do you love her enough not to kill her like you did Edward?

Shea: Stop! Get out of my head!



The Queen's Phantom: I won't ever leave you!

Shea: You will, I'll make you-

The Queen's Phantom: How will you make me? Maybe I'm not even the Queen's Phantom but merely your humanity beckoning you to atone for your sins. Your bloody sins.

Shea: I did what was...what was right...



The Queen's Phantom: Well, we have all the time in the world. But my door will always be open for you. One quick bite or slice of a blade can let you atone. I can bring you peace.

Shea: No! Just let me go!

The Queen's Phantom: I am as much a part of you as your family is. We share a cursed blood. A vile blood, yet you hide it. Why didn't you use it? You could've saved Edward before, you could've save Errwarld. But you didn't. Killers bring pain, suffering. That sounds like you now, doesn't it.



The Queen's Phantom: You're a killer, through and through. My Blades were too but they were forgiven. All you need to do is submit. Submit your body, your will and all will be forgotten.

 

Begevor: Your highness, I've buried Errwarld and Vinheim as you requested. What would you like doing with Errwarld's men?



Begevor: I'm sure Kyvarra could use their bodies for something useful.



Begevor: And the question of Shea's hat...shall we leave it with her, make sure she knows she can't escape us?



The First Queen: Kyvarra will have no use for their bodies. We need to find her first. That and we must wait. Your brother has yet to recover fully. Ooh and burn Shea's hat. We have no need of it. We'll be with her wherever she goes.



The First Queen: And I'm sure your brother would love to hunt her down when he fully recovers.



Begevor: It is rather a shame that we can't recover while working but he'll be ready for whatever comes next.



Begevor: Who shall we make a move on first?



The First Queen: Do not get ahead of yourself. The hunt will return. But we must lick our own wounds first. Then we'll bring them down from their perches.



The First Queen: As the Time of the Blood grows nearer, we will only be stronger. And I'm sure that those false-children of mine will meet their end.

Shea: That's it! Maybe I'll have to go to Lacroix's study. He has all sorts of shit others think pointless. He might have something on how they locked her up before.



Shea: Lacroix! You here?



Lacroix: There's no need to speak so loudly child.



Shea: Sorry, but it's urgent.

Lacroix: So urgent you need to interrupt the silence?

Shea: Absolutely, do you have anything on the First Queen?



Lacroix: I assume you mean Queen Anthea Takano? 



Shea: The one and only, do you have some books on her, old scrolls maybe?



Lacroix: As if you'd be able to read the scrolls. I have some books but...well it's unusual for someone to take an interest in Anthea.



Shea: Unusual doesn't mean it won't happen.

Lacroix: It's funny that you and that Errwarld fellow are asking about it, both in a matter of days. He hasn't got you wound up into one of his silly theories has he?



Shea: (I wish it were only a theory) What makes you think it's silly?



Lacroix: Errwarld has always been a little too eccentric in his research. Please we'll continue in my personal study.



Servant: Master Lacroix, would you like for me to-



Lacroix: There's no need, duck, we'll be alright. But do be a dear and let me know if anyone requires audience with me or Madam Sanghurst.

Servant: Yes, sir.



Lacroix: So are you a part of Errwarld's studies? Or are you freelancing? 



Shea: I just need those books Lacroix, anything on Anthea will do.



Lacroix: I've already given all I'm willing to Errwarld, you'll need to seek him.

Shea: All you're willing? So there's more?



Lacroix: There are always more...but some books I'll never hand over.



Shea: Well, I need them and-



Lacroix: And for what? This doesn't seem like ordinary research-



Servant: Sir! Someone is asking for Madam Sanghurst!



Shea: You wouldn't understand but I'll be back for them.

Shea: I thought you were dead.

Errwarld: Well, as they say, news of my death was greatly exaggerated, except there was no news to speak of.



Shea: I thought that was the end for a second. Every moment I've lived, that was the closest I felt to the void.



Errwarld: Well, I haven't fully passed the trial yet. Everything still hurts or stings. I'm sure that sunlight did wonders for my skin.

Shea: Well you've got an excuse to keep the mask on now.

Errwarld: I always did. 



Errwarld: So, Lacroix has more books than he'd given me?

Shea: Were you spying on me?

Errwarld: I try to keep an ear to the floor.



Shea: He seems to but he won't be happy parting with them.

Errwarld: Even if he knew the cause?

Shea: Do you think he'd believe us? He thinks half of your studies are "silly."



Errwarld: Fair point.

Shea: So how much time do we have?

Errwarld: Not enough.



Shea: That's vague. How many days?



Shea: You alright Errwarld?



Errwarld: I'm fine, I was just thinking.



Shea: So how long?



Errwarld: It depends. Could be a day, a week at most. My best men should be here soon and-



Shea: Hold on! You thought during the arguments and fights that are surely happening here, that it'd be a good idea to bring in soldiers?



Errwarld: Would you rather we all just die?



Shea: No, but everyone is going to bring theirs now and we'll be even closer to a clan war, or a blood feud at the very least!



Shea: They are that close to tearing each other apart!



Shea: They're that close to being divided, permanently and-





Errwarld: What is it?



Shea: I just feel like-

Errwarld: You're being watched?



Errwarld: I feel it too.



Errwarld: But what's done is done. Shea, I know you worry for a war or feud but there are bigger things to worry about at the moment.

Shea: You know that doesn't help.



Errwarld: Of course not. But my guards will be here soon. I just ask you be vigilant. You see the First Queen, we'll need to talk, immediately.



Shea: We should meet at some point tomorrow. I'll see if I can get anyone to listen about what we've seen.

Errwarld: You can try to tell people but don't expect them to believe you. And don't bring up Vinheim, they'd be quick to incriminate us.

Shea: Well, they were quick getting here. 



Solomia: And they're already arguing. What was Errwarld thinking?



Solomia: I admit it's rather a bold move but I hardly see it working out.



Shea: Likely not but-...doesn't matter.



Solomia: So should I bring some of our own?



Shea: You could. But then everybody would bring their own and then we'd be drowning in suits of armour.



Solomia: Well the next few days should be interesting considering no one agrees on who should lead.

Shea: Good to know I never missed anything then.

The next day...



???: Come on Elea, I've never even seen that place, and I'm one hundred and four now!

Eleavoir: No, you still act like a child! You'd stand no chance here.

???: But-

Eleavoir: No buts. My choice is final, I don't care what mother says.



Shea: Eleavoir?

Eleavoir: Duty calls, we'll speak later.

???: Wait-

Eleavoir: Enter!



Shea: You can finish your talk if you'd like!



Eleavoir: Too late, come in.



Eleavoir: So what is it that brings you here?



Eleavoir: I sincerely doubt that you're here for just a chat.



Shea: There's some business and bit of small talk.



Eleavoir: Let us get the small talk out of the way then.



Shea: Who were you speaking with?

Eleavoir: My sister Ay'rel, ironic name really. Quite close to Auriel but of course forsaken by the same god. You remember her?

Shea: Vaguely? I think I might have seen her once.



Shea: But I'm afraid that's all the small talk.



Eleavoir: So what do you want?



Shea: I need you not to laugh at what I'm going to say.



Shea: The First Queen, she's back, alive and on the loose.



Eleavoir: Troubling perhaps, but I'm afraid there's little I can do about that.



Shea: Errwarld and I just need you to be prepared, we don't ask anything more.



Eleavoir: The answer is no.



Eleavoir: If I could help you I would. There's no proof and I'm just going off of your words alone. If I prepare for something, so will the others and then we'll be tense and ready to jump at anything.



Shea: But-...I understand. It sounds outlandish.



Eleavoir: If you brought proof I'd gladly help but there's nothing. I'm sorry. 



Shea: I'll try but there isn't much time left now. Just don't say I didn't warn you when she comes again.



Eleavoir: And I'll gladly let you say that and Errwarld can say it too. But you know I can't believe the story you're telling.



Shea: I understand your position, you don't want to start something that will certainly end us.



Eleavoir: Exactly. It's going to be busy soon, so I'd quite like some time alone. If you don't mind.



Shea: Yeah, I get it.



Shea: (Errwarld was right, again. Of course they wouldn't believe me. Not until she's standing in front of them will they ever believe me).

Later that evening...



Shea: Errwarld always picks the best spots doesn't he.



Shea: First a glowing river of tears and then a cobweb infested laboratory. 



Shea: (What would father do now?)



Shea: (He'd know exactly what to do and-)



Shea: (What am I thinking? Of course he wouldn't know. He knew politics but never his daughters. I suppose mother didn't either).



Shea: (What they did...maybe it was normal for them. What they'd lived through).



Shea: (Shea, pull yourself together, this is hardly the time to be thinking about the past. It's too far gone now).



Errwarld: Good to see you're here!



Shea: You couldn't have picked somewhere with fewer cobwebs and spiders?



Errwarld: The Black Tower is history, Shea, the place where the first plot to remove the First Queen began.



Shea: Of course, you couldn't pick somewhere more comfortable, or discrete.



Shea: And the first plot failed, all these books and poisons couldn't help them. How is it going to help us?

Errwarld: It's not meant to.



Errwarld: We have facts and speculation at the moment. We know she is here. We know conventional weapons don't work either.



Errwarld: That's all we know for certain.

Shea: That's not much.



Errwarld: Our best option would be getting everyone out of here. But she's in the woods and would easily kill those leaving.



Errwarld: We could instigate some conflict, that would send everyone home to a place with an army.

Shea: It'd also make sure the First Queen gets her throne back.

Errwarld: But we'd probably survive.

Shea: Not a risk I'm taking.



Errwarld: Yes, you have your sister here, you'd hardly want to put her in the middle of conflict but Anthea is here, and you won't be able to protect Solomia forever.



Shea: Not agreeing to that plan.

Errwarld: What about your blood? We don't know if that works against-

Shea: No. I'm not degrading myself.

Errwarld: But it's potent.

Shea: It's vile. No.



Errwarld: Well we haven't got many options then.

Shea: What about Volkihar?

Errwarld: What about them?

Shea: Lord Harkon was killed with something, maybe that'd work, he was a pure-blood.

Errwarld: Auriel's Bow I think.



Errwarld: I doubt they'd let us just wander in and ask if we can have it or not. I don't even think Volkihar has it, a Dragonborn does.

Shea: Any other similar weapons?

Errwarld: I'd have to investigate some rumours of Snow Elves emerging from a cave but there could be something.



Errwarld: But I can't guarantee that we'll find anything at all.



Errwarld: And the last thing we want to do is waste time.



Shea: You've mentioned Sir Gabriel in the past. He escaped her. How?



Errwarld: He did escape, though I don't know if he willingly fought her.



Shea: But they did fight?

Errwarld: Yes.

Shea: He lost then.

Errwarld: Yes but it's said that he had an awful effect on her.



Shea: So we have a lead?



Errwarld: We don't have time to chase Sir Gabriel. That would be foolish of us.



Errwarld: We should flee, live to fight another day. That's the best option.



Shea: Yeah, but I don't know who would listen to us just telling them to leave.



Errwarld: That's the nature of our problem.



Errwarld: We don't have much time but we should think on it at least.



Shea: I guess so.

Errwarld: But be ready, we don't know when she'll come back.

Solomia: Are you just going to sit by the fire all night?



Shea: I'm thinking.



Solomia: About what?



Shea: Important things.

Solomia: More important than me?



Shea: That question is a trap and you know it.

Solomia: Of course I know. But is it more important?



Shea: No...it's not.



Solomia: Then be with me, it's been days since I even went to sleep beside you and even longer since you awoke beside me.



Solomia: Just keep that mind of your in check for one night.

Shea: I-

Shea: You wouldn't believe me-

Shea: Why am I not surprised? But Sir Gabriel kept her in check, didn't he? What must she have been like without his aid?



Shea: She must've been like how I met her.



Shea: This wouldn't be so hard if I knew when she'd be here.



Shea: She's too much...for anyone. I hope Errwarld finds something.



The Queen's Phantom: I doubt that he will. Too doubtful where he should be certain.



The Queen's Phantom: But you shouldn't be concerned with him. You should be concerned about your own beating heart. I can feel it getting faster, the hunt grows nearer. Will you be of the slaughtered, or will you be the hunter? The throne lies empty but for no longer.



Shea: Get out of my head!



Shea: Wait the throne room...

Guard #1: He won't say anything, the prisoner that is, not that Errwarld is particularly talkative with us anyway.



Errwarld: Well, shall we meet the lucky man?



Shea: Look, this is going to be a wasted effort, they already said he isn't going to say anything. I'd rather be part of the discussions than partaking in whatever this is.



Guard #2: What is going on up there by the way? I heard that some-



Shea: Not of your concern.



Shea: So, Errwarld, can we get this over and done with before things get interesting upstairs?



Errwarld: So let us proceed. Follow.



Shea: So, why is it we're doing this? I don't suppose you all of a sudden want justice for someone.



Errwarld: My desires are of that ilk.



Shea: Who is he?



Errwarld: I'd like to introduce you to Baron Mortrue.

Shea: Why is he here?



Mortrue: Seem to think I got Queen Eldris killed. Her own fault really-



Errwarld: And that's the story the story he keeps touting.



Shea: And you think there's more to it?



Guard #2: He seems to think so.

Guard #1: We've tried everything...



Guard #1: ...As it turns out, torturing a vampire is rather troublesome.



Errwarld: The issue is that he was blindly loyal to her just days before she died.



Shea: So how'd she go? It takes a lot to kill a vampire.



Errwarld: We don't know. Poisoning wasn't possible. Wasn't attacked. It was quite mysterious. She supposedly seemed a little empty in the days before she was...put to rest but that's all worthy of keeping in mind.



Guard #2: I hope you aren't going to start investigating rumours-



Errwarld: So it's a rumour, but it's unusual for someone usually emotional to be like that.



Shea: And?

Errwarld: There's a myth about this place, that the First Queen would return once the cold reached the throne.

Shea: Cold reaches the throne? Doesn't really make sense. But you think it's related?

Errwald: I think so.

Shea: So investigating some myth was more important than what's happening right now?



Errwarld: No but we're investigating it. We're heading into the bloody waters of the undercroft.



Shea: You don't think that'll set the fangs off? Or drive both of us feral?



Errwarld: It was the First Queen's cell, it's not actual blood.



Shea: Then what is it?



Errwarld: You said it was 'some myth' you won't be interested.



Errwarld: But the bloody waters are supposed to be from her tears, it supposedly glows too.



Shea: So you haven't been down there yet?



Errwarld: I imagine we're the first for a long time.



Shea: Well you weren't kidding about it glowing.



Shea: But whatever was in there is long gone.



Shea: So it was all just a myth. Something that was a waste of time. Besides, why'd you even think that Mortrue was linked with this myth? Bit of a stretch to argue.



Errwarld: Well it was more of an excuse to get you down here. The First Queen has been the subject of my scholarly research for a while now. I needed some help. An anchor if you will.



Shea: An anchor, you aren't going to chain me up, are you?

Errwarld: No, nothing of the sort.



Errwarld: You'll keep me mostly grounded. You won't let me stray too far into the arcane looking for an explanation.



Errwarld: And it's daylight, I do need some help scouting above ground.



Shea: How'd you know the wall was there?



Errwarld: The undercroft is massive. We've only seen a fraction of it. There's probably a secret wall in every room.



Errwarld: If you'd be so kind to move ahead, I can feel a breeze and I can't risk a run in with sunlight.



Shea: Fine. I'm too late to join with the talks now anyway.


{Several minutes later}



Errwarld: What's up there?



Shea: It's just the river passing through the castle.



Shea: It's the overgrown part, near the entrance through the mountains.



Shea: There doesn't look to be anything here!



Errwarld: Nothing? Okay, I have an idea. During the twilight hours, meet me at the Grave of the Queen's Blade.

Shea: Where's that?

Errwarld: Below the Executioner's Hill!
 

Sol: So, you weren't at the talks.

Shea: No.




Sol: Might I ask why?



Shea: Well you're the head of the clan, I didn't want to start an argument about what we should do in the middle of an official talk.



Sol: I don't believe a word of that.



Shea: Fine you got me. Errwarld dragged me into some investigation about the First Queen.



Sol: Described it by name. It must be interesting, I seem to recall something mother taught us about though.



Sol: The First Queen was supposed to be dead long ago. She was called...something Takano, I think.



Shea: Well we're investigating it. I don't know why I even agreed, I could've been doing something much more productive.



(Knock! Knock!)



Knight: Madam Sanghurst-



Sol: Let them in!



Vera: Both the Sanghurst twins? Unexpected.



Vera: I trust I'm not interrupting anything.



Shea: No but you-



Sol: Sister! Be civil, please.



Vera: Yes, that's no way to greet a guest.



Shea: {whispering} With all due respect sister, I wouldn't trust her as far as you could throw her.



Shea: (Not after what she's said to me)



Sol: Perhaps it was a good thing that you weren't at the talks. Sister, hold your tongue or leave.

Shea: Fine, I'll see you later.
 

Shea: Not very magnificent is it?



Errwarld: A grave is a grave. No amount of fanfare changes that.

Shea: But for a Queen's Blade? I'm assuming that was high ranking.

Errwarld: Very.



Shea: So why such a meagre grave?



Errwarld: The First Queen and her followers were toppled by a rebellion. That's why there's only a small grave. And that's why only warriors seem to respect it. Leaving their former belongings behind before becoming the Raven Knights.

Shea: Rebellion? I don't recall learning of that.



Errwarld: Yes. It started when one of her knights left her service. The First Queen was ambitious. But ambition without wisdom is like a bird with no wings. Doomed to fail.



Errwarld: The knight that left was one of her wisest advisors. He armoured her forces and gave them more effective weapons. He gave wisdom to the First Queen when she was enraged and made sure the people were happy with her. That knight, Sir Gabriel was the foundation of her power. Without him she would've failed and died like so many other rulers.  Then she turned away from him. Once Molag Bal attempted his invasion of Tamriel, the First Queen took the opportunity to pillage the lands of bloodstock and indulged in debauchery and things better left unspoken. That knight left, with all his wisdom. The Queen's Blade supposedly fought him and died, hence the grave. That's how the books tell it anyway.

Errwarld: Sorry for the lecture.



Shea: No problem, I learnt something new at least.



Errwarld: Anyway, I believe my next assistant is here.



Shea: So who'd you bring?



Vinheim: He brought me.



Shea: Sir Cone Head, I don't see how you can help with that on.



Errwarld: Pardon, Shea. She means nothing of it.

Vinheim: It confuses many when they first see it.

Shea: So we're going to ignore the caused by it?



Vinheim: I hear far more with this on than I ever did before. That's very important for me.



Shea: So we have a vampire with an ability to stand in the sun and little else -



Shea: - Someone who is visually...impaired-



Shea: - And a scholar who is probably boiling in his armour because he didn't want to wait any longer for the sun to fully set.



Shea: What an entourage.

Errwarld: You know, those who are unexpected usually win.

Shea: So we're the underdogs, even better.



Vinheim: Something is wrong.

Errwarld: What is?

Vinheim: I feel as though...



Vinheim: I feel as though we're being watched...



Errwarld: It's just a feeling Vinheim...I've been feeling it since we looked in the First Queen's cell, nothing has come of it yet.



???: I'm afraid something just has.



???: Three vampires in a dangerous forest, chasing after a myth, and they won't even acknowledge their instincts. Weak.



Shea: Who are you?!



Vinheim: Don't!



Errwarld: Do as we do and you might just get out alive.



???: You, who still has the freckles of youth! You'd be wise to quieten down.



The First Queen: You stand before myth. Legend.
 

Sol: I say we should start. Those who don't care about this aren't here. I doubt they'll have gotten into trouble with anything. They're all capable.



Eleavoir: That isn't what we should be worried about.



Vera: I say we should be worried about a plot against us. Those three had been getting rather friendly...



Eleavoir: Let's not throw accusations like that around lightly.



Sol: But we're all so used to throwing accusations, you certainly are Eleavoir. I remember the first day of talks...vividly.



Vera: Sounds like she's made a choice already.



Eleavoir: Vera, don't start that! We're here to vote on who leads us, not push a campaign against one another.



Eleavoir: So, does anyone have any propositions they would like to make before we begin.



Sol: Yes! I believe that it's long past the time that we choose only one successor. We could rule, the three of us, as a triumvirate. There'd be no need for these excursions to this castle, we could rule-



Vera: Really, you don't think that you or Eleavoir aren't going to try and take the lead? You'd both gladly-



Sol: Do you need to be so self-centred? Not everything is about you!



Eleavoir: Despite the good intentions and ambitions, a proposition of a triumvirate is denied by two. That little exchange was proof enough that it would never work.



Eleavoir: I propose myself as the head of the clans. 



Vera: Of course you would! Don't want to settle down your pride just yet-



Sol: Well, with respect, neither of you are a great fit for the role.



Eleavoir: I believe Sol and I may be an agreement, Vera.



Eleavoir: Someone must take lead. My clan is the strongest and largest. We need security!



Sol: And if the largest clan won every time, we'd be extinct by now!



Eleavoir: What exactly are you trying to say?



Vera: I think I know exactly what she's trying to say.



Eleavoir: Someone needs to sit on that throne. I'm prepared to bleed for it, to bleed for my people.



Eleavoir: Are you prepared to do that? Either of you?

Shea: That's a fair point, Vinctumunus. You seemed to hate me while we discussed the terms of an end to a clan yet now you wish to speak with me. What do you seek?



Eleavoir: No need to be so venomous young one, I was only asserting my position there. It meant nothing.



Shea: Certainly didn't feel like that. So I ask again. What do you want?



Eleavoir: Someone needs to take over this place. That someone is going to need advisors, From everywhere.



Eleavoir: I simply desire someone skilled in fighting to aid me when making decisions. 



Shea: (Sure you do. Friends close and enemies closer is a common doctrine).



Shea: Why would you want someone at the top of a competing clan?

Eleavoir: You're not at the top, Solomia Sanghurst is. 

Shea: My loyalties lie with her.



Eleavoir: I only ask you consider it. For your own sake and mine.

Shea: Sure I'll think about it.

Eleavoir: Good.



Shea: (Not even two days and it's beginning).



Shea: (Vinctumunus is the last clan I'd want to ally myself with but that might just mean Sanghurst survives too. Sanghursts aren't strong and if there were to be a war we'd likely be the first to go to the chopping block).



Shea: I need a walk.

Sol: It's a wonderful night, isn't it? Clear sky and-



Shea: It's only the weather Sol, don't get too excited...and it could change in an instant, we're pretty much in the Jeralls.



Sol: Can't you just enjoy this for a moment. Please.

Shea: Sure I can.



Shea: So what is it you want? You've got me trapped on a balcony, under a starry night sky.



Sol: I hadn't thought of that before but now that you mention it...



Sol: I could do a lot and nobody would know a thing...



Shea: Unfortunately, the place is full of vampires who'll hear everything.



Sol: That never used to stop us.

Shea: We were both also a lot younger then.



Shea: Much younger, more brash, less caring.



Shea: That, and I'm not in the mood now.



Sol: You know, you've gotten to serious. Liven up a little!



Shea: It's not a matter of being serious or not. You've just caught me at a bad time.

Hours later...



Shea: (Why does everything make me pray for something new? I'm back with my love but now I'm stuck in a hive of evil and it's only going to breed here. Is it too much to ask for safety?)



Shea: (I don't even want my curse gone now, just keep us, no, keep her safe.)



Errwarld: Didn't take you for a pious one.



Shea: I'm not. I didn't take you to be someone playing dress up with a different mask every time I see them.



Errwarld: Fair enough. Do you know these?

Shea: Bloodbells, like deathbells but worse. Deathbells might take a day, these'll take weeks of agony. Or they'll kill a vampire in a couple of days.

Errwarld: But quite visually stunning. Beautiful.



Shea: Good to know, but I trust you didn't call me over to talk about the flora.



Shea: Or did I massively misjudge you?



Errwarld: No, you haven't misjudged. I'm just giving you a warning.



Errwarld: You think you've grown up, but you haven't and they're going to play on that for all it's worth. 



Errwarld: I though I'd warn you before they start trying to pull you to one side of the fence.



Shea: So you're worried because they're setting the battle lines?



Errwarld: I wouldn't say battle lines but it could come to that, definitely.



Shea: So which side are you on?

Errwarld: None.

Shea: Should I do the same?

Errwarld: No. Do the complete opposite, no one likes someone sitting on the fence in these matters.

Shea: But you do.

Errwarld: I organise the entire council, I have to stay neutral.



Errwarld: But I would warn you, Vinctumunus isn't what she seems.



Shea: So is she better or worse?



Errwarld: Not for me to say.

Shea: So only I can make that decision?

Errwarld: Exactly, now, I'd love to chat but your blood can handle the sun, mine can't, so I'd very much like to retire to the castle. But take a walk. Make sure you have a clear head for what lies ahead.



Shea: That was odd. But what did he mean? Vinctumunus isn't what she seems.



Shea: (I suppose High Elves always do seem to have a second plan going on. Maybe I should get to the bottom of that.)



Knight: Lady Sanghurst! Vera told me she'd like a word with you. 'In the place where gems are hollowed and the souls are trapped again.' Don't know what that means, I trust you do.



Shea: I do, thank you.

Shea: I hate this place. 



Shea: Why'd she make me go through here?



Shea: The place where...everything changed...



Shea: No! No! Think, has to be in the Soul Cairn, where else would this lead to. Maybe?



Shea: I think it's that one.



Shea: I hope so. The wrong one doesn't lead anywhere...well anywhere liveable at least.



Shea: Right, yes this place. Why did Vera insist on bringing me here?



Shea: It's all so dead. I know vampires are too but this is somehow...worse.



Vera: So you haven't forgotten about this place. When we were-



Shea: When we were younger, stupider. This was no place for us.



Vera: But I imagine you know why I've brought you here.

Shea: Well I-



Vera: Someone needs to take lead of the vampires in Skyrim, we can't let it be Vinctumunus, she'd gladly wipe us all out. So I'd ask you to embrace me, and what I'd stand for.



Vera: We could reunify the vampires, take our true place and-



Shea: You're sounding like Harkon at the moment, you know what happened to him, right?



Vera: I would merely have asked that you listen to me, but you can no longer do that?



Shea: I know what you're playing at. You want my vote so you can get to the top and you'll offer me anything to get it. That sound about right?



Vera: I only offer you a guarantee of survival.

Shea: That's not that great an offer.



Vera: I'll be honest, the Sanghurst line is weak, it always has been. Your powers of the blood have thinned and now you can only...what? Stand in the sun, have a few more emotions. And for you it's made you exceptionally...unique.



Shea: So admit it, you want rid of the weak. You'd only let us live if you got our votes. Hardly seems like a good offer. 



Vera: Fine. You deserve all that comes to you. You travelled the world to try and remove your gift, yet you couldn't. So you act as though you never wanted it gone. But I see through you. You don't feed, you don't partake in the hunts we have. You don't want to be one of us.



Vera: Perhaps, that's another weakness in your bloodline.



Vera: Maybe it's a way of weeding out the weak. You and your sister are the last generations of Sanghurst, it'd make sense it'd be the weakest.



Shea: What happened to you?



Vera: So you're going to leave because you can't accept the truth?



Vera: My family were right about you all those years ago. They said you a coward from the beginning. 



Shea: Then let that be my legacy. Better than someone who prolonged their legacy by giving in.



Shea: Goodbye, Vera...maybe it's for the best...

The next night...



Shea: 'The Vinctumunus originally hail from the Somerset Isles but were exiled after their transformation. An entire family of ninety three vampires were cast out and left for Skyrim.' So Eleavoir must be at least halfway down the line of succession.



Shea: 'The Vinctumunus, despite being proficient in magic, rarely use it as they appear to be deathly allergic, or they at least have some unnatural reaction to it.' Interesting, who would've thought they'd be so well documented.



Errwarld: That is one of their weaknesses, yes. They're proud of their history and lineage but it keeps them exposed.



Shea: Errwarld I find it hard to believe they'd let this all be written down. That or they know the weakness so well that they can defend against it.

Errwarld: Perhaps.



Errwarld: But with all respect, why are you researching this in the library, haven't you got a study you could use? That's more...discreet.



Shea: You said it yourself, they're proud of their history, why wouldn't they want us reading.



Errwarld: Perhaps there's something better you could be doing though.



Errwarld: There have been a lot of ravens from her tower, lacking explanation.



Shea: And this is the place to discuss that?



Errwarld: Yes, there's not a soul here. 



Errwarld: Get in and out quick, you might find something useful.



Shea: Maybe, but what guarantee do I have that you won't tell a guard and get me caught?



Errwarld: Because we have a common goal, we have no stomach for Eleavoir and her ideas.



Errwarld: It'd help us both and I'm a lumbering moron when I need to be quiet. You'd be...better suited.
 

Shea: Why did I ever agree to this?



Shea: And maybe with what I just saw with Vera, she might be a better option.



Shea: Nice room she has.



Shea: Not exactly a closet full of skeletons like I expected.



Shea: That must be where she sends her letters from.



Raven: Caww!



Shea: Locked. Of course. Why would it be open?



Shea: I don't suppose you're going to rat me out. Are you?



Raven: Caw. Ca caw!



Shea: I hope that's a no.



Shea: Now, there can't be a masterful lock in just a cupboard...



Shea: Here we are. 'I write to you concerning Shea Sanghurst. I've already sent letters referring to her sister and the other clan leaders. Shea seems odd, a little out of place at court. Though I believe that may play into our hand. Someone with a little more humanity than those at vampire court could be beneficial if we rose to power.'



'I fear that I may have scared here away at the first meeting and I did criticise her determination. You know of her antics trying to remove her vampirism, I nearly brought it up but chose not to. For now, her sister seems firmly neutral and I don't believe either will try to take a side. She might be young, but I'll respect whatever decision she makes, even if it is the wrong one.'



'Vera appears to be the main opposition for the power struggle. No other party has made it overtly obvious that they desire the throne. I gave Shea the offer of a High Council decision but I fear that her sister could complicate matters. It's hard to read her, but I think Shea wants the quiet life that vampirism doesn't offer. And I deeply regret what father and mother put them both through. Perhaps I feel some guilt for that. Without what they did, they wouldn't be here now but maybe they'd have been happier. Sorry, I'm rambling I know. I'll send more letters when I get the opportunity.'

Shea: The balcony, looks like I'll have to take a jump...

Reboot time. To put it simply, I didn't like where I'd put Shea's Story originally and that is why it suddenly disappeared.  I feel that I've developed more as a writer since I wrote the last entry in Shea's series and I hope that I can cover the story again and hopefully I can do the character justice.. This is a remake. Hopefully, the story will have more clarity and continuity with the rest of TES world. That being said, I hope you enjoy the newer renditions of characters. And as usual, any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Shea: It's been a while. And Skyrim hasn't really changed. It never seems to at least.



Shea: A shame there really aren't any rivers closer to the Keep. Nowhere near Falkreath. I suppose it should be a long ride there. And then I'll have to deal with her. That should be more than interesting



Shea: How long has it been? Two years?

A day or so later...



Shea: And this place never changes.



Shea: She hasn't even changed, still keeps the family sword in the same place too.



Shea: Hopefully, my visit will be a surprise of sorts. No, of course not. She asked me to come because of...vampire politics. How fun.



Shea: These lucky bastards. never have to deal with a blood feud or occasional clan war.



Shea: There's no point in delaying the inevitable now.



Shea: And I'm sure she's going to be in a great mood.



Shea: And what sister wouldn't welcome their own blood back with love. This one, probably.



Shea: Not in the chapel then. Must be the throne room. Where else would she be?

A few moments later...



Shea: I would've returned-

Sol: Oh really Shea, your little adventures had you so preoccupied you forgot your family?

Shea: Sol, don't treat me like-



Sol: Treat you like what? Like you've just left for four years?



Sol: While you were gallivanting around the world, I had to step up, to a place you should've been and had been prepared for!



Shea: Well you seemed to have settled in alright.



Shea: But you'd be surprised how enlightening my 'gallivanting' has been.



Shea: I learnt some wonderful calming techniques from a Akaviri fellow.



Shea: Perhaps I could teach them to you.



Sol: If you learnt anything form those travels, you'd keep your mouth shut.



Shea: You're really this annoyed about four years? We're immortal. We don't age! 



Sol: I'm not one of your crewmates. Watch your tongue! I shan't warn you again.



Shea: Oh but I have so much more to say!



Sol: And I will hear none of it, dear sister.



Shea: I have many tales, maybe some you'd even like.



Sol: You know where your room is. Go there, perhaps you need some rest.

 

Shea: Did I actually just get sent to my room by my sister? I guess so.



Shea: But it'll be the first comfy bed for ages.



Shea: Just have to hope she hasn't...



Shea: ...changed anything.



Shea: Of course she knows I can't stand blue.



Shea: It'll have to do for now. What wouldn't I put up with for...what is she to me?

 

Shea: Lover? Maybe. Sister? Yes.



Shea: I shouldn't be worrying about this shit, just have to go to a castle, say who should be new patriarch or matriarch. 



Shea: How long could that take? A couple of days at most.

Two days later...



Shea: This place is...I can't stand it. Far too big.



Shea: That and fangs in every corner.



Shea: Well what's the worst that could happen here...a clan war probably and nobody is stupid enough to start one of those.



Shea: Just a few days, that's all.



Steward: Madam Shea Sanghurst, I presume.



Shea: Exactly right. I'm looking for my room.

Steward: It should be near the quarters with everyone else. Through the door on your left.



Shea: Do you know if my sister is already there?



Steward: She left for the room but she said she had some errand to run first. But please make yourself comfortable here.

Shea: I'll try. And thank you.



Shea: Still stuffy. And I'm sure Sol and me sharing a room is going to be hilariously awful.



Vulture Knight: Miss Sanghurst, may I have a word?



Shea: You may, but it depends entirely on what you want to say.



Vulture Knight: It's nothing bad I assure you. When was it, the last time you were here?



Vulture Knight: The last time you were here, you must've been-



Shea: Young, exceptionally so. Yes. 
 

Vulture Knight: Sorry, it's strange to see someone actually come here once they've grown up. Not many make it that far. Anyway, get going. Gillan is surely waiting on the landing for you.



Shea: Well that was a little odd. Hopefully Sol won't be in the room. She's probably still in a mood enough to tear my throat out.

 

Gillan: Hmm...still waiting for-



Gillan: -Sanghurst and Vinctumunus



Shea: Are you looking for a Sanghurst? You've found one.



Gillan: Which one? Doesn't matter, you're sharing a room, in the...royal quarters

Shea: Is my sister there now?

Gillan: Uh-no. She left that-a-ways towards the enshrined tower.

Shea: (Well she might not kill me there). Thanks.



Shea: (Now why would Sol be here, she's never been the religious type. But then again...four years). Hey, Sol.



Sol: Please don't open any talks with 'hey' when we actually get to discussing things, will you.



Shea: I'm not that stupid, sis. I won't.



Sol: Good, now join me will you?



Shea: Really? A few hours ago you were pouting at me in a carriage like I'd stomped on a bag of puppies.



Sol: I was also stuck with you doing the same. 



Sol: I thought if I came here I might...well mother liked to come here didn't she? Maybe I thought I'd understand her a little more.



Sol: I'm wearing her armour, I look like her, I even act like her and I just don't understand. Do you?



Shea: I don't.



Sol: Funny.

Shea: What is?

Sol: We're the best of both of them and we're just as confused as before.

Shea: We're the worst of both of them too. 

Sol: Maybe. Why do you think she came here?



Shea: Ours is a lonely life and the people are...unsavoury. Maybe this made her feel less alone. It might've just been a place where she felt safe. Speaking of, I think we need to be somewhere by now.



Sol: Yes, it's not every night I get to see you wearing something nice. Father's armour suits you.



Shea: Thanks...and mother's suits you too.

Several minutes later...



Sol: Well, I thought some of them would be at least a little punctual.



Shea: Sounds like you want to get this over and done with more than I do.



Knight: Commander!



High Battle-master Nate: So the first of the delegation are here. I'm Battle-master Nate. The rest of you lot- the clan leaders will be here soon. Take a seat, enjoy yourself while you wait...there's little much else to do.

An hour or so later...



Shea: Oh so that's what you want?



Shea: You can't just take the Pale! Her highness might've been the last of her clan but that doesn't mean we can just take it!



Eleavoir: Oh we can, we will. If we don't a vampire will rise up and then we'll have a bigger problem in the form of a rogue clan.



Sol: But don't say 'we' as if you're going to share.



Vera: And you'd share? You've got two desires to fulfil.



Shea: How has this turned on us? You seem to forget Eleavoir here wants the Pale, not us!

Eleavoir: Lady Vinctumunus to you. And I don't want the Pale! It's worthless, barely any bloodstock and as cold as Atmora. 

Shea: So why would we want it?

Eleavoir: You wouldn't care about bloodstock. You don't even partake in it like the rest of us. You think you're better, so it only makes sense that you'd want the territory to keep your ear in our business!



Vinheim: I think you all ought to calm down. Things will sort themselves out, just give it time, power will equalise.



Errwarld: Says the vampire wearing a cone on their head.



Vera: Enough! Some of us are actually trying to make a decision here!



Eleavoir: Seems more like an argument between a half-breed, a naive little girl and one so enthralled in themselves that they seem to forget about the impacts of their actions.



Shea: Enthralled in myself? Listen to yourself, you supremacist fuck.



Eleavoir: Is that what I am? Says the one who went-



Vera: Enough, we aren't going to get anything sorted out if we sit here and argue like children!



Sol: Loathed to say it, but I agree.



Shea: Well, I'll gladly take a seat aside, since the Altmer doesn't want me here.



Eleavoir: Now, as I was saying. My clan should take the Pale, it's simple. We already have Winterhold and that'd be easier for everyone. No one would have to overextend themselves.

Vera: My clan only has the Rift and the southern reaches of Eastmarch. You seem to forget Vinctumunus holds most Eastmarch too. You'll have too much.



Sol: And all we have is Falkreath and some of Whiterun, both of which are overflowing with werewolves at the moment! The Pale would give us opportunity to set ourselves up without infringing on territory.



Vinheim: You're forgetting that Volkihar is on their knees. That incident with Dawnguard has left them, crippled. Maybe we could take some of Haafingar.



Errwarld: Don't encourage them Vinheim, we'll be here days already, don't make it weeks.



Knight: And might I add that any conspiracy directly against another clan will be harshly punished.



Eleavoir: Indeed. So let us keep things civil.



Vera: You're far from civil Eleavoir, don't act like it.



Sol: And arguing isn't going to solve a thing. So lets be amicable, just this once, then we won't have to see each other for centuries again.



Shea: This proves to be my time to leave then.



Eleavoir: Yes, let the leaders speak. 



Vera: Just because she's gone it doesn't mean we're not going to challenge you.



Errwarld: So, you had enough of politics for now?



Shea: Oh absolutely. And anyway, I don't need to worry myself, just look at her go.



Errwarld: And that means you can leave the discussion?

Shea: I can take a break at least.

Errwarld: You just wanted a break? You could've asked for that.

Shea: You've seen Eleavoir, if I did that she'd never respect me again.

Errwarld: Did she ever respect you?

Shea: Yes at one time.



Errwarld: That can't be all.



Shea: Oh it isn't. Sol will at least have something to be annoyed about that isn't me. And she'll have plenty of stress to work out...Somehow.

Several hours later...



Errwarld: You asleep?

Shea: Of course not, just resting my eyes. Why'd you think I'd go to sleep?



Errwarld: Well this is all very tiring.



Vinheim: I second that.

Shea: Well, surely the nights can't get any longer than that, can they?



Sol: Oh we still have another hour or so to go.



Shea: Of course we do...



Shea: I don't suppose there's any way to make it more fun than before.



Shea: Oh, so that's what you've gotten up to.



Shea: By the Divines that was fast.

Sol: What, don't want to join me?

Shea: Bit sooner than I expected but...Fuck it. 



Shea: It's been a while, you know that right?



Sol: And I'm sure you'll be as brilliant as before.



Shea: Brilliant as before? You have a lot of faith in me after four years.



Sol: That reminds me. Four years to make up with what we haven't done.

Shea: Maybe I shouldn't have encouraged that.



Sol: Oh what's the worst I could do?

Shea: I can think of a few things...

Sol: Would you be against them?

Shea: Probably not...

King Griff: And do ensure that the cages of rats are set free in the city. If they want Riverhelm they can have famine and disease with it. I won't have my throne sit someone else for long.

 

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: Wait! What?

 

 

King Griff: You understand that it's for the better, a ruthless leader like Lord Fenris would only wreak havoc on the realm? This is only a precaution to make sure he doesn't.

Henry Lionsbane: (Damn I hadn't thought the beard had gotten this bad...)

 

 

Henry Lionsbane: (Luckily, I don't think that home is much further down the road).

 

 

Henry Lionsbane: (I hope the war hasn't reached Riverhelm, I'd never forgive myself if my little sis got caught up in that).

 

 

Henry Lionsbane: (No Henry, you can't focus on the bad. At least it's not much further until I'm home again).

 

 

Henry Lionsbane: (But it won't be the same without Jordan, I suppose she has busier things to do as a knight now).

 

 

Several hours later...

 

Henry Lionsbane: Lion Valley Tavern. This hasn't changed a bit. Well maybe a few new floorboards, but it's still the same place somehow.

 

 

Henry Lionsbane: And is that still Vilod? I wonder if she still makes that blackberry mead.

 

 

Vilod: Welcome to Lion's Valley, the waterhole that keeps the entire pride watered and...- wait your back?!

 

 

Henry Lionsbane: Well I said I'd be back at some point didn't I?

 

Vilod: You also said you wouldn't go far but I'm sure you went to the far east didn't you?

 

Henry Lionsbane: Got me there.

 

 

Vilod: Well there's plenty to celebrate now that Griff is gone. 

 

Henry Lionsbane: Wait...

 

 

Henry Lionsbane: He surrendered?

 

 

Vilod: Apparently not but there's lots of rumours surrounding your sister.

 

 

Henry Lionsbane: What are they?

 

Vilod: Oh please, those details will cost you.

 

 

Henry Lionsbane: She's my sister, you can't just charge me for that!

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: (Humming)

 

 

Fenris Soldier: Shut up will you?

 

 

Fenris Soldier: That humming is irritating and I should be lashing you right now!

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: Then why aren't you?

 

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: C'mon this concerns me doesn't it?

 

 

Fenris Soldier: You're to make yourself presentable to court. Your trial will be a in an hour or so.

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: But I haven't even-

Fenris Soldier: None. Nothing by courier or crow.

 

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: I see.

 

Fenris Soldier: Good, because now you can get busy getting ready, watching over you is more boring than it sounds.

 

 

30 Minutes later...

 

Fenris Soldier: Oathbreaker.

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: (It was right what I did, don't worry).

 

 

Sir Henrikson: The kitty has arrived then...

 

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: I wouldn't make comments, the banner you're behind looks like an overgrown rat.

 

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: What even is it supposed to be? A...bear and that means-

 

 

Sir Henrikson: Yes, Fenris's new justicar will deal with you.

 

Adviser Peter: And yes, it is a bear.

 

 

Sir Henrikson: Milord.

 

 

Lord Gerald: Now lets get this over with.

 

Adviser Peter: She's accused of breaking a sacred oath to her king as a member of his Kingsguard. 

 

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: Should I kneel milord?

 

 

Lord Gerald: Your pitiful attempts at comedy are not appreciated at this time and they certainly don't help your case.

 

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: At this time? So you'd be fine with them elsewhere?

 

 

Lord Gerald: Anymore humour and I'll have you executed here!

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: Sorry milord, these sorts of ordeals make one careless.

 

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: But remember that what I did was for the good of the people and if you just let me tell my sto-

 

 

Sir Henrikson: I believe we've heard enough of your antics.

 

Adviser Peter: Perhaps, but a full story might-

 

Lord Gerald: Enough both of you!

 

 

Lord Gerald: I can't make a decision if both my advisers are bitching like angry hens!

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: So are you just going to ignore my side of it?

 

 

Lord Gerald: What would you suggest Sir Henrikson?

 

 

Sir Henrikson: Immediate execution, she broke a sacred oath and has no place in this world!

 

Lord Gerald: No, too extreme.

 

 

Lady Jordan Lionsbane: Then what?

 

 

Lord Gerald: I, High Justicar of King Fenris, strip you of your lands and titles and as punishment you will serve the realm at the Northern Border with the North Watch where you will stay until the day you die. From now on you are no longer a knight of the realm or a daughter of a lord. You may retain your name but it will be worthless.

 

Jordan Lionsbane: No I'll take execu-

 

Lord Gerald: Enough! Guards, give her something decent to wear for the North and give her a weapon once you've escorted her to the city gates. If I haven't received word of your arrival at Northwatch Keep you will be declared an enemy of the realm.

Soxtra: Well I'm sure you'll love this place when you wake up. The sickening scent of seared flesh...oh and the bindings. They'll be comfortable I'm sure. Though after that fall I'm not sure whether you'll enjoy anything.

 

 

Soxtra: Do you know how long I've waited to get my claws into you. A very long time. I've been waiting with Orianna just waiting to pounce on you. I was thinking Coldharbor would be a bit more comfortable for you, but Orianna insisted on you being here. Such a shame, but Molag just wanted suffering inflicted on you, not absolute torment.

 

 

Shea: Huh...wait what? Where am I?!

 

 

Shea: Who are you? What do you want with me? Speak!

 

Soxtra: Brave things for someone to say with a bag over their head and hands tied behind their back. Admittedly, I do love someone who'll be feisty, the people who just cave in instantly are so boring.

 

 

Soxtra: Now lets make one thing clear. I'm Soxtra and you are my plaything...A plaything to be broken and bent. Have I made myself clear?

 

 

Shea: You think I'm a plaything?! You bitch! If I was out of these binds for a moment you would've been lying in a pool of your own blood already!

 

 

Soxtra: Orianna was right. You are a feisty fox. One which doesn't clearly see her predicament. So calm down or I'll have to cut you up while you're awake...and I wouldn't like to do that. With all the writhing it becomes difficult.

 

 

Shea: Is that all you can think of saying? A threat?!

 

Soxtra: I've heard enough of this impertinence! I'll give you your sight back... but in return...

 

Shea: Don't you dare!

 

 

Shea: Mmmm! Mhmmm!

 

Soxtra: Aaa...peace and quiet.

 

 

Soxtra: But you still have to pay for saying some very awful things to me. 

 

 

Soxtra: Perhaps this will clear your head!

Orianna: Now that does bring a smile to my face...

 

 

Orianna: But I want her broken and remade, not whimpering like a dying puppy!

Orianna: Speak when spoken to. We have some unfinished business that needs tending to.

 

 

Orianna: And I want you to stay down while we sort it out...Is that clear?

 

 

Shea: Yes...

 

Orianna: Good. Now who is the rightful ruler of vampires?

 

 

Soxtra: Oh this is rich.

 

 

Orianna: Who?

 

 

Shea: Me?

 

Orianna: Don't crawl away when I asked you a question. It's impolite.

 

 

Orianna: Fine then, I can drag you if you prefer be treated like a nobody!

 

 

Orianna: So who is the rightful ruler of vampires?

 

Shea: If...if you go by the rules...it'd be me...I'm the last living member of the last royal court...

 

 

Orianna: Maybe a few more days in the cage might change your mind about that.

 

Shea: Or maybe it won't.

 

 

Shea: You know I won't give up Orianna! Orianna?

 

 

Shea: What would you do now sis?

Yeah sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. I've not been able to find inspiration for these stories and there isn't a point in me doing a story if I know it'll be absolute rubbish. I don't know how long it'll be until the next one. Also I hope nobody minds me ret-conning the original chapters 2 and 3. Anyway thanks for reading!

Pentaharel: None of this makes sense, these sings shouldn't appear.

 

 

Ra: Uh oh, someone sounds confused. And unfortunately, if you're confused we likely all will be.

 

 

Pentaharel: I'm not confused...just a little...puzzled.

 

 

Ra: So confused then?

 

 

Pentaharel: Could you have a look at this, maybe you can pick something out from it?

 

Ra: I can try Pen, but I don't think I'll be able to offer any suggestions.

 

 

Ra: Hmm, you're right, all the symbols don't match. But nothing that has been seen before in times of apocalypse. Do you think those symbols could represent the dragons returning?

 

Pentaharel: No, their symbol isn't the one that I've inscribed. All the ones that appeared don't match anything.

 

Ra: Well the circle appear to be conjoined, maybe the joining of worlds? Or a trespasser?

 

 

Pentaharel: Wait you don't think that it could be...another daedric invasion?

 

Ra: Well unusual things have been happening in the portal system but there hasn't been any realities where there has been a daedric invasion. But these signs...they say otherwise.

 

 

Pentaharel: We have to tell them and we need to do something...the earlier we prepare the better.

 

 

Ra: I'll get them to come to the table. I suppose I'll also try to convince them that you aren't insane.

 

 

Ra: But who would be trespassing on our world. Molag Bal wouldn't be subtle with only slight signs. Mehrunes Dagon would've razed every city to the ground already and most of the others have no interest in taking Nirn.

 

 

Pentaharel: It doesn't matter who, we have to warn people, the sooner people know the better.

 

 

Ra: I just hope this might be nothing at all.

 

Alkiaro: Well this roll-call is strange...

 

Rauul: So what did you bring us up here for?

 

 

Pentaharel: Well...

 

 

Ra: It's fine Pen, I'll say it for you.

 

 

Pentaharel: No, I'll say it. I found it out and should take the blame if I'm wrong.

 

 

Rauul: Are you going to tell us daedra? Or are you going to keep us waiting?

 

 

Alkiaro: Calm down brother, it'll be fine.

Pentaharel: I think Tamriel is due an invasion. From the daedra. I don't know who or how, but I think it's coming soon.

 

 

Rauul: And you believe this Ra?

 

 

Ra: I do.

 

 

Ra: Weird things have started in the Confluence of Worlds. The portal system is starting to go wrong. Yet I know of no daedra that can meddle with realities outside of their own realms.

 

 

Pentaharel: Perhaps we should go through tomorrow and see what is happening together. Then we might be able to pin point who's going to invade.

Spectre: (Growl)

 

 

Ra: I'll go see what that was, it was probably one of my things falling over. I'll be back in a minute or two.
