@zarantha I downloaded and installed DD 5.1 and compared it to DD 5.0 plus your 5.1 delta patch.

 

I installed the UUNP version in the FOMOD. It seems like DD 5.1 is missing several Bodyslide files that were included with DD 5.0.

 

Some files are different, which is to be expected. The missing files seem like a problem. The files are mostly related to the Heretical restraints and piercings.

I reworked the SMP chains so that they shouldn't CBBE or UNP specific, and they should all be in DDHotFix except for the chain harness. Otherwise I just copy/pasted UNP in there from the LE 5.1, and maybe cleanup up duplicates in addition to adding the binder bodyslides.. This last rework included the male and beast races too, and changed the SMP xml names so they won't conflict if Kimy includes the PE xmls again in her patch updates. So yes, the modded ones should be fine.

 

I see what happened. I cleaned up the 00core folder so it was just ddhotfix (trying to save some space), because CBBE has it's own versions of those files. Heretical was not in UNP, it's in core for some weird reason. I blame the fk'd up file structure.  These should be all that's missing. I have them in my modded files so I know what needs replaced with the new versions, hopefully that will prevent me from missing them again.

 

Let me know if you see any other issues with the UNP stuff. I really hate UNP now, you know.  ?

A quick glance at the clothing section on the SSE nexus is more than enough to inform anyone that CBBE 3BA and BHUNP have largely supplanted vanilla CBBE and UNP in popular use. TBD, CBBE SMP and CBBE SMP 3BBB are the only other popular options, but these were already starting to fall out of favor in spring of last year, and I suspect these will eventually stop being supported considering how much traffic has been rediverted to CBBE 3BA (or to BHUNP among Japanese and Korean users).

 

The vast majority of female clothing mods released on the nexus within the last 16 months support CBBE 3BA, and in the few cases where they do not, they almost always have support for CBBE 3BBB SMP, which is much less popular but very similar to CBBE 3BA. Seeing as we are all sex fanatics here on LL, my intuition leads me to suspect that people in our community are probably far more likely - than your average non-NSFW SSE player - to use body physics. I think it is highly unlikely that people on here have stuck to vanilla CBBE or vanilla UNP.

It's taste of own sense. I have body physics on CBBE using HDT SMP. Also breasts physics on 3BBB was awful. When player run breasts hanging on your back. But when starts sex scene... i'm not say anything. I delete 3BBB at the same moment)

See, that's the thing. It's not my mod. I can't add in something kimy doesn't support.

 

Kind of a bummer, since I do prefer 3BBB. The other issue here is adding another set of bodyslides will increase the download size and we already have people bitching about it being 2gb zipped.

Body physics are there, even for the 'base' mods. You don't need 3bbb/bhunp to get SMP physics. What those bodies do is add in vagina and anus meshes, and increase the number of bones in the breasts to give a better movement.

i use cbbe 3bbb body and devious devices 4.3 for now. i am waiting too for the bodyslides files.

but we need have the patience . the modders and the supporters have a life and family too.

zarantha is the personne helps more people than others. its help in the all loverslab.

i ask for more patience and respect  according to each person's taste.

I must also say that - in that I have been here for as long as I have - I feel quite stupid for forgetting that it is actually @Kimy who is behind the original mod. Thank you for reminding me

I actually included a preface, but perhaps you missed it. So, in case you did not read it; I was not flaming @zarantha at all, but rather, merely calling them out on a statement they made that was rather inaccurate. If you look at the numbers - that they were so kind as to include in their response -, it is clear which body mod has had the most momentum, seeing as the latter four were the only ones directly relevant to our exchange.

 

Furthermore, you accuse me of calling @zarantha a liar, and while I can understand how one could possibly get such an impression from what I said, this was never my intention. I said that they were wrong about the popularity of CBBE 3BA and then proceeded - in an admittedly half-assed manner - to inform them about the general situation. However, judging from their response, it would seem to have been a statement resulting from lack of knowledge, rather than a lie made with the intent to get people of said person's back about 3BA BodySlide conversions. The truth is that most creators are too busy to keep themselves informed on the progress of other mods, so I already somewhat suspected beforehand that this would be the case. Just know that I would never accuse @zarantha (or any other creator on this site, for that matter) of being dishonest, unless they have done so repeatedly and/or with an apparent intent to deceive.

 

Moreover, and to me a bit more insulting, you accuse me of being impatient, but I actually have very little interest in newer versions of the mod due to the fact that a significant portion of LL mods still - and more importantly, ALWAYS WILL - rely on version 4.3 because their creators (1) left the community, (2) refuse to let others adopt their mods, or (3) are too busy with other things to get around to updating their mods. I would love to upgrade, but sadly, that is the situation that we are in. All that being said, this does not mean that I have lost my interest entirely, and I try to keep myself somewhat updated on the progress of most mods I have used or would like to use in the future. That is why I am here now.

I shifted to SE more than 2 years ago, after running LE since the beginning of the first era.  Why anyone would stick with memory-restricted LE is beyond me, but to each their own.  The numbers (and thanks, PuttPutt for posting them) speak for themselves.

 

And so does my stable, super-modded game.  Finally.

3BA has 1.5m views, and "only" 500k downloads

 

nevertheless: what should also be considered is that 3ba has cbbe se as a dependency -> every single 3ba download has at least one cbbe-se download
 

is grummkol still working on 3BA bodyslide files ? Last time grummkol signed in was december last year.
And the last update to those files is 1 year and 1 day old....
(reported a bug with the restricted gloves e.g. in august last year, fixed it for myself)

If you want i can also start working on 3BA bodyslides on my spare time :) 
(Is a new mod-download page mentioning all who have worked on DD, akin to grummkols page enough?)

In the mean time: i'm using the 4.3 bodyslide files with 5.0/5.1 and thus far i haven't noticed any major issues.

As far as I know, grummkol is working on it. He doesn't provide me with updates.

 

If you want to work on them, that's fine with me. I am literally bodyslided out after DD 5.x. I may still do it, but i'm really not motivated at the moment.

I'd prefer keeping them on grummkol's page, or if you give me a link, I can put it on the troubleshooting post. I think two pages would be confusing to some folks.

 

I changed a lot of things under the covers to make things work in a 'pure' smp environment - the main thing for converting to 3bbb is some bodies under the outfits have been chopped to pieces, to prevent clipping. If you chop them up wrong, they do weird shit if you modify the sliders.

No, I didn't take offense, although your wording was a little much. I know how hard it is to convey tone through text media, so I try to take it with a grain of salt.

 

If it turns out the fixed numbers don't support including with DD, we'll still get an updated version of the outfits out one way or another some time. Until then, the 4.3 bodyslides are a good base.

As mentioned before, I am bodyslided out at the moment, but I haven't dropped the idea. Either grummkol, or I, or another volunteer will get it updated.

Hey peep's. I have an issue where my character uses a DD bound animation when idle with no weapon drawn instead of the vanilla idle animation. I've had a bit of a look around but cant really figure it out. Here's my load order in case it helps:

If you have fnis sexy move, toggle player 360 move off/on.

If you're bound, it's expected from time to time as you try to tug at the restraints.

DD is a framework, it provides stuff for other mods to use. You need other mods like DCL to equip the devices, or you'll have to add them yourself using the console or add item menu.

 

If that's not what you meant, please clarify what you meant by equip device.
