Looks like that should be all you need.

For version numbers I include them when it seems important. Like with ZaZ. But for the most part if no one says "version X works but version Y doesn't" then I'm assuming it's the most recent version they used and so not including it. (I do have the v1.6 note queued up for my next update in ~10 hours.)

 

Really, the whole point of this project is "let me know". Besides freeing up the SL thread, mostly I'm just trying to record everything in one place so people don't have to go through multiple pages of posts in multiple threads in multiple forums on multiple sites... looking for answers. Crowdsourcing.

Well... There are a few things that make me wonder since I'm porting mods for myself and especially in the situation right now. Many ppl tried to get DDx ported but only Fred200 did it with success. even Creatureframework is reported to be working, with undressed Creatures... I doesn't work for me. But others are talking about problems with SLAL and it worked right out of the box for me. I didn't even touch the esp.... I just installed it. there seem to be differences between the differnt Estrus versions. for me it frezzes, for someone else th Tentacles have just been displaced. That is why I ask for version numbers. And I need someone who can recompile scrips. I can't do that...

I'll add a bullet point asking for conversion details with version numbers.

 

fred200 had success converting a lot of "difficult" stuff but didn't say much about what he did, but it could be the same issue plaguing this whole process: it looks like a conversion works, and with some play time it might seem to work, but there could be an issue somewhere that maybe someone else discovers - maybe it's a different city or a different set of mods creating a conflict. Speaking of, all the normal rules about conflicts and bashed patches and stuff still applies of course. So one person's "works" doesn't necessarily carry over to another.

 

While I was first building the list I would replace someone's "buggy" with another's "works", then towards the end I think I started tracking both. I also originally had names and links but 9/10 times it just meant a long list of people who had success with a mod (particularly with SLA) - no more helpful than tracking a simple "it works".

 

My point is I can only report on what people say... But I'll try to keep more detailed records.

 

Anyway, you can't recompile scripts? It's easy: all you need is Creation Kit. Gameplay menu > Papyrus Script Manager, put a filter pattern in like zad*, then right-click a script and Compile. That list is based on the script files themselves so you don't even have to load up a mod. If there are errors then the little popup window will tell you, otherwise it goes away. Then you can do with the .pex as you want.

There's also the Compile Papyrus Scripts option but that takes forever to load. And while it can do multiple scripts at once, if one fails you have to go through the process again. So I always just use the Manager.

Think it's easier to use

By the way..added a list af all mods that I have tested and seems to be working. Not all are tested extensively.

The only ones I'm really missing now is SOS and immersive first person, but they have their own .DLL's. Anyone know how to recompile .DLL for 64bit?

This is likely a sensitive topic - with some mods being capable of working after conversion, is it fair to say we do not see SE versions uploaded yet due to a lack of permission from the original authors? I'm not in any way ungrateful, but I imagine there are quite a lot of players who simply aren't proficient to manually convert, and would very much appreciate (or even pay) to access converted mods. After all, major mods have several dependencies, so the curve to convert them escalates exponentially. =(

Only additional steps would be to activate mod in left panel after installing it (and make sure jcontainers64 is also indtalled and activated in MO2) and launch creation kit from MO2

I'm looking into the state of things and finding this is really helpful. For my mod, looks like the only dependency I have with significant issues, is DD. If DD is "buggy", then so too will be Shout Like a Virgin.

 

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with these questions?

  1. Who's done the conversion for DD and is there a place I can download it?
  2. Who's done the conversion for Shout Like a Virgin, and is there a place I can download it?
  3. DDi is listed as buggy... is there a place where this is detailed?
  4. Shout Like a Virgin is listed as buggy... is there a place where this is detailed?

 

A side note: Oldrim Zaz Animations 8.0 is very unofficial and created against the will of the original author. I will never trust it's future thus I will never create a dependency on it. This is also why DD already stripped its dependency on Zaz. Thus the so called "official SEE version" that's coming should be called "the official conversion of the very unofficial 8.0" lol :p. Why use 8.0 at all when there's almost no content mods currently using that framework? Anyhow if anyone is testing Shout Like a Virgin with Zaz 8 in the mix, bugs are just wasted noise.

There wont be any download links unless it is supplied by the original author or we get permission to release a ported version. The only way you will get the mods your after atm is convert them yourself or ask someone if they would message you privately their already converted version.

It will take a bit until I'm ready to officcially release it. I'm working on polishing the nifs. 

T.ara did not get permission from the ZAP author to do oldrim 8.0. In fact he was asked to stop by the author eventually, when he first released it as 6.2.
