Skyrim VR Modding ?!

I will probably not play much more of the vanilla game under VR unless the game begins to be modded at least a little bit.

I missed this earlier.

My SkyrimVR is heavily modded. There is a thread on /r/skyrimvr with ~125 tested and working mods right now, and far more mods are working than are on the list. SKSE isn't available, but the vase majority of  SSE mods work in VR.

ModOrganizer2 even has a plugin to work with VR. The only problem I've had with MO2 so far is that "local save games" isn't working for me.

SKSE, SkyUI, and RaceMenu are missing and that sucks, but the only other mod I really miss so far is Ordinator, and someone is working on a fix for it.

Can you keep your Skyrim SSE game in tact, or will that just muddy the waters?

That quest mod looks good. I'll try the SSE version in VR

If that is possible, you will have the best of both worlds, and I can't see a single downside.  Now you have me more interested in the VR.  I didn't think that it was going to be modded so easily. I understand SKSE is out of the question, but a cbbe, bodyslide, and a few armor re-placers.....definitely would make the VR worth a few more hours.;)

You can play skyrim with vorpx in VR!

... ok no motions controller but fuck it, its cheaper and you can play almost every 3D game in VR!

Played Skyrim in VR today.  even in vanilla the game is beautiful and the motion controls are worth it.  I found myself ducking out of the way of bats in the first dungeon even though i expected them.  Its also much much more playable than fallout 4 was on release.  worth the $60, though I understand your viewpoint

never in my life!
this VR version is criticized in many renowned computer magazines.
This game (all VR games) affect the human senses excessively, after only one hour of playing time, perceptual disorders occur!
but I know what it's about, Sex in 3D view, fucks a real woman, then her do not need that shit.
and especially Bethesda cashes for the third time, money for this fucking game !!! :classic_angry:

sorry, no offense, I always say what I think, I hate hypocrisy.

But your posting is pure hypocrisy.

- I've been playing FO4VR four hours after hours - no perceptual disorder whatsoever. Don't generalize.

- You're complaining about virtual sex on a site like LoversLab?!

- You're complaining that Bethesda asks for money for their product? The VR market is small enough as it is, Bethesda cannot expect more than 100.000 - 200.000 sold copies. They would never be able to make a profit with a cheap or even free upgrade from the base version. And you, for sure, would work without making any profit, wouldn't you? Since you're no hypocrite at all.

I, for one, am offended by your post.

what has that an with the other to do?
Loverslab consists not only from sex and pornmods, I have written over 11500 posts here and you will not find a post in Sexlab from me.
I have not been playing Skyrim since December 2014, there are far better game developers like Bethesda, even BioWare is better for me, because they always do something new!
but Bethesda markets an Ancient Game, over and over again, that is paltry, they are too stupid to do something new.
Do you want to know what I think of Bethesda? :classic_wink:

let's see what you say, if Bethesda publishes a TES6 but no more construction sets because they also want the full money in the CreationsClub!
then I laugh me sick. lachende-smileys-350.gif

Please don't feed the trolls!

If you want the thread to remain meaningful and helpful please stay on topic and do not engage with people who post obviously offtopic comments with the intent to trigger you.

The only way to preserve the thread is to keep on topic and to not get involved in pointless offtopic discussions that will end up nowhere and will only result in pages of recurring arguments.

Back to the topic. I have been playing with Carnival a bit more and it seems it can be a working replacement of the Random sex mod. This weekend I'm going to try and add some more settings to it and experiment some more.

There is now also this.

you're right, sorry.
everyone can play what they want, I did not want to derail the thread.
and if they still play Skyrim in 10 years but this time as Ultimate version then it can be no matter to me.

and thanks for the TROLL :classic_wink:

everything (FNIS and SKSE) is not upwardly compatible, backward compatible, yes!
should actually everyone know. :classic_wink:

SE version if FNIS works for VR.

https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/8a0ic0/fnis_and_skyrim_vr/?utm_source=reddit-android

Also SKSE expects to be able treat SkyrimVR as a update to SE. Assuming they are correct, SKSE64 should be available soon (and it's in beta now)

FNIS + MO2 works for me. I don't have SSE installed at all.  I installed FNIS directly by hand, not via MO, no idea if this makes a difference.

By the way CK also works, just put in the SkyrimVR directory.

In other news: Chesko is working on VR versions of Frostfall and Campfire.

The author of FlowerGirls just ran a successful GoFundMe campaign to buy  a VR headset and work on a VR version.

another thing that is working now is SkseVR. So great that one of the devs decided to port it to SkyrimVR . Only thing that needs to be fixed now is cbp physics and hdt having a new dll that works with SkyrimVR. SkseVR is still considered highly experimental though so proceed at your own risk. SkyUi sadly doesn't work due to quite a few changes in the interface code from Flatrim. but having a working Skse is a godsend

All the discussion and testing is happening on this discord:-https://discord.gg/xUfFYzF

I've been told to not upload links outside since the build is still highly experimental and Arha (the Skse dev helping port to VR) would rather not be spammed by people complaining too much in this early state and would rather people talk about what works or actual testing. I am  testing Skse myself so I know it works

If you want to find the latest build just go to the skyrimVr Mods section and filter posts by @Arha. You should find it. Just make sure you download the most recent build since the first one caused ctd.

So I installed the alpha SKSE and started looking for mods to test it with. And all of them requite SkyUI.

Installed SOS and the game fails to start at all. Not sure if it is because of the missing SkyUI or problem with SKSE.

It seems things will be more complicated than we hoped.

The only mod that I've really had issues with anything needing skyui or skse  and Flower Girls where the camera goes crazy when you buy services probably justifiably.

What I really want is a mod for precision moving items.  I've not gotten my own house yet so maybe they added that for furniture placement but really probably want some sort of placeable items mod.  Even better if its possible to move dead bodies and stuff like that.  If I stay motivated with this game (which I didn't with Fallout 4 or 4VR) then maybe I'll try to tackle that one day.  Anyone doing research on controller hooks?  Did Bethsoft add any support functions to the SDK?

Oh yeah.  That and the maybe ability to see more of myself like arms and maybe body while still in vr though I can see that being harder than average.  The VR Mirror is nice and all but not the same.
