Light Dwarven Armor

View File

Description
###########

The first entry in a set of mods I will be making to add the opposite weight armor of every set in the vanilla game (eg. light Orcish, light Steel, light Iron, heavy Leather, heavy Glass)

This mod adds a set of "light" Dwarven armor to Skyrim. You can craft it at a forge and upgrade it at a workbench.

I've always liked Dwarven armor in TES games but in Skyrim I thought it was always too bulky. I also like light armor and still wanted those crazy perks you get from doing Dwarven related quests.

Stats
#####

Same as regular except half weight.

Crafting
########

Craft at a forge.

Quality
#######

Textures are loosely based off of the aMidianBorn textures, except mine are better.

Visuals
#######

Basically I removed the pauldrons and faulds, made the male skirt a little shorter, and shortened the boots. I also reshaped the helmet.

Installing
##########

Manual/NMM/MO

Extras
######

None.

Compatibility
#############

Argonian meshes are complete, however the argonian helmet has not been made. I tried it, and it looks really dumb. Just download Immersive Armors and wear the Dwarven Mage hood.

Future Plans

############

Every set of armor in the game.

I have also included a unique file header in each file only visible with a hex editor. This helps identify stolen textures, as my originals have a datestamp and an abbreviation of my user name of either here or my NexusMods username.

So to let you know how awesome this is some clarification.

I've been playing skyrim the moment it was out because I grew up on Oblivion. Even have 9 years I still come back to it. I've been using nexus for a while but honestly the way things have been handled was why i took a shot at modding myself. I quickly found out just how hard it is to get a mod just right. One false step can mean hours and hours of work.

And you my friend his gold because I literally just made this account and now want to use this site just cause of you. ^_^ Anyway I can help you out just let me know cause this is my dream armor.

I really like this so far. I'm currently looking for mods to replace vanilla gear in more or less "logical" and believable armors to go with Enderals mod. This is another good one I found. Now I just need something to get rid of "scrappy" metal look. Amidianborn doesn't count because it doesn't fix this issue.

update: after some mixing and matching with textures and meshes from other mods I just realize this armor doesn't come with gauntlets? Is this correct? Perhaps I missed a path somewhere. I have set it so that your meshes will overwrite vanilla bethesda dwarven armor but kept the location of the textures the same as this ones since the path is set within the meshes for that. It looks REALLY good with the immaculate dwarven armor textures btw. Perfect for starfallen people!

It...It should...

It's been like 2 years and literally NONE of the people who downloaded this except you have brought this up... this is why I'm such a douchebag to people sometimes...
