About This File

Hello everyone!

 

This mod is a quest that follows the hunting of an elusive thief following an encounter at Riften's Bee and Barb. This adventure includes:

 

  • Over 10,000 lines of dialogue (many of which are spoken from the main character! See your character immersed like never before
  • Dozens of sex scenes, and minigames, and minigames during sex scenes
  • Unique fights and encounters, with many branching paths and side quests to journey on
  • A "karma" system--your character's dialogue and animations will change as you make different choices
  • The quest is around 7-10 hours in length to complete, depending on your choices.

 

The quest can be completed with the released 1.0 version, but there will be more content added in the future!

 

If you have already completed part of the quest (or are updating to a new version) you can use the "Skip" feature in the MCM menu of Thief to jump ahead to where you last left off. 

 

How to begin the Quest:

  • Speak to the Stranger in Riften, who will approach you as long as:
  • You are female
  • You have no companions
  • You have at least 100 gold coins on you

Requirements:

 

For Skyrim Legendary Edition:

The following mods are optional, but will likely improve your experience:

You should also install your preferred body mods:

  • First, make sure you have a compatible skeleton installed, like XPMSE.
  • For male bodies, Dogma recommends using the SOS Light version, although SAM is also compatible. The standard SOS version also works, but there are slight differences in when clothing is removed.
  • For female bodies, anything should work (CBBE/UUNP/7Base at least, and any derivatives like COSIO).  Depending on your body choice and skeleton, you may need to try to use RaceMenu or Bodyslide to reposition the pelvis forward or backward to align things right (I know that COSIO adds a slider for this called HipForward, there may be solutions for other bodies).
  • If you want physics, you will also need HDT installed.

 

For Skyrim Special Edition: (TEST VERSION)

  • If you want physics, you need to install a physics engine such as 3BBB or HDT-SMP and all related requirements.

 

Brewmasterhal Translation:

 

Most of the dialogue is translated by Brewmasterhal, but the most recently updated parts of the mod may be machine translated. You can find the latest version of Brewmasterhal's translation from their public folder here. You can also find more information on how to install the most updated translation and other patches for the mod in the walkthrough post here.

 

Installation:

  • Double check that you've installed the required base mods
  • Extract the archive in the Skyrim Data folder
  • Turn on Dogma Engine.esm and Dogma-Thief.esp with any mod manager that is convenient for you.
  • Don't forget to generate FNIS!

 

Uninstalling:

  • Before you install the latest version, make sure that you uninstall and delete any files from any previous versions of the mod.  Most notably, any files unpacked from the .bsa archive!

 

Compatibility:

  • While playing my mod, I do NOT advise you to use other mods that can invade with their scripts into the game process, take away /return control, etc. This can break the scenes. DD mods, combat mods - I don't recommend anything like that when you'll be playing "Thief", most likely it will lead to the scene getting frozen and being forced to reload.
  • Incompatibility with Amazing Follower Tweaks, this mod will not let you pass the part with the chase. Also, this applies to other plugins that make the player's horse immortal.
  • There may be incompatibilities with plugins that change the environment: Riften Prisons, Riften Taverns, New Gnissis Cornerclub, Windhelm Tavern, Whiterun Tavern, Falkreath's Exterior, Folkreath's Tavern, Lod's House, "Grave Concoctions".
  • Partial incompatibility with the "Devious Devices - Captured Dreams Shop". One of the branches takes place at the same place where the store is.
  • Many users had problems in the episode with the chase. Most likely this is due to certain mods that affects horses. So, if you use mods for horses, it's best to turn on the "easy mode for the horse" in the MCM menu.
  • This mod will take you throughout many parts of Skyrim, and so it is incompatible with many mods that change the locations and interiors of places it takes part in. Here are some of the mods players have had difficulty with - Northern Bathouses, Solitude Docks District, Nernies City, Village Expansion.

A description would be nice, what does this mod do, what is it about?

 

This seems very interesting. Just a word of advise regarding the description.

 

You take too much space talking about the history of the mod, installation requirements, status of the mod, without explaining WHAT this mod is. The only short infos are hidden behind a spoiler tag.

I would suggest to, at least, add a one paragraph catchline at the beginning of the page. 

Something like:

 

THIEF:

 A weird request from a shady dealer. Locate and collect some ancient prints. How to recognize the prints? Well, you will know when you find them. A quest mod with a lot of adult content.

 

I'm just creating this out. I've NOT played thief yet! Just to give you an example of the vibe... :D

I am still playing it and I have to say, the mod looks excellent and really well done. One of the best I ever saw, regarding quests.

 

Is there any estimated data for the conclusion of the story, since it's in 70%?

Well, in a personal conversation author said me, that he can't tell that date, because mod is his personal time. But I know that some things to continue the story are already done. Maybe few months.

I think that much of his motivation depends on the activity in this topic.

So far the quest has been great!  Interesting and unique.  It's been easy to follow, but I'm stuck.  I have a question to anyone who might be able to answer. 

 

 

I'm at the part where I am to look for a witch at the hut.  I found the hut after a few minutes searching in the wrong area because I was looking for a property icon, I found there isn't one.  I inspected the four items inside the hut, but nothing leads me further into investigation.  I went back to Zoe, but all I got from her was her life story and then she just repeats the same dialog (something like "What's up?").  How do I progress from here?
