So I've been in the mood lately to play something dark and brutal, and I'm tempted to get into Conan Exiles. My tastes for RP tend to be rather...evil. Slavery, rape, torture, human sacrifice to dark gods, cannibalism, necrophilia, necromancy. Which server would be the best for me?

Server Lore:

 

Sex, intrigue, betrayal, and war, the Exiled Lands have a way to stay the same while being so vastly different. It has been ninety-two years since the city of Ked-Yor has been destroyed. The Dark Servants are gone. The age of the Sorcerer-King has ended, just as the age of Giant Kings before it. Now, various kingdoms rapidly risen, vying for slaves, lands, and riches to fill the vacuum of power left by the King and his elites.

As prophets foretold, a tempest came with howling winds and biting sands.  No one prepared for the sheer scale of destruction that followed. The First Storm changed the world. Not only did the sands whip, but also followed were rains, blizzards, and even odd fires from the intense lightning. Cyclones tore the walls of the city, ruthless whirling winds that dropped to the earth to purge it with furious circles. The sun was blotted from the skies by billowing, blanketed darkness for five days. In the long night and howling winds, hungry beasts hunted men, women, and children.

Thousands died in the its fury. Food and animals were scarce in the times that followed, and after the first tempest, two years of famine took more lives than the actual cataclysm. Yet the sun returned, life persisted. Compared to before the storm, life was fearful. Some of the dead rose again, and raids were a common occurrence. It was a struggle just to survive in this age.

 

The dawning age led a new order out of the shadows. One empire rose again with a horde. Even though the Old King and his servants were surely killed, tyranny had not ended. In just two years, a lowly exiled thief from Yezud came to the seat of exclusive power in the Exiled Lands. She was mesmerized her people with impassioned speeches.

The Empress Zinura built her armies here and murdered all of those who she disdained, starting with the ones who defied her. Next, she sought to purify humanity. She turned her endless hatred to orcs, followed by the halflings. She began to banish both celestials and demons. This ruthless woman ripped the wings of fay and tore off the ears of elves, throwing them into spikes to quell her unabating rage. After Zinura culled many races from the prison-lands, the Empress sought the knowledge to break their imprisoning bracelets and to march out to continue their “holy quest.”

 

  Akros strives for an immersive, lore rich, environment with a great deal for players to see and do. The Admin team is very active in adding new, lore friendly, quests, and maintaining an active and effective economy on the server. We have also set up a faction system… cultural elements that players can take part in with the intent of adding a political element to role play on the server. IC and OOC events are held on a fairly regular basis, and players are highly encouraged to set up and run their own events, with admin support being available to them. We are also set to launch a server wide plot in the next two months, which is intended to evolve not just around the growing factions, but the actions of the players.

 

Server Ruleset:

 

We host a rule set meant to encourage immersion, and consequence role play. Local is always considered IC, names required to be lore friendly and cheating of any kind strictly forbidden. Our build rules are generous, with ample space being allowed for on both the solo and clan level, and Admin support is happy provide help setting up lore friendly and attractive builds. PvP is set up to allow freedom, but control large scale actions and protect both the solo player and our builds from wanton destruction at the hands of large groups. Rules will be enforced with fairness and admin's being held to a high standard of fair play at all times. Full details are available on our discord.

Lust, Love and Steel:

 

This server is a PvE-Conflict 18+ RP/ERP server with Purge active. This is an open server, I did not create any mods so mod support is limited to who created them.

PvP Time: 5PM-11:59PM US Central Time daily.

 

Purge: Set for daily, 4 purges daily with a 30 minute warning, last for 30 minutes.

 

Starter kits available. These starter kits are basic stuff, nothing spectacular. You have to earn the rest.

 

Pippi coin/wallet is activated. Right now a pay day is set, although when I figure out how to just have humanoid NPC’s drop coin and not creatures, I may be inclined to turn pay day off.

 

Any additional mods or suggested settings will be considered, however, dont get upset if denied.

ERP encouraged but not required. Fade to black perfectly acceptable if that is your choice, and forced is allowed but only consensual from all involved in the scene.

 

Permadeath: Perma death is allowed through RP but must be consensual. Let the other know if you RP with perma death or not. The idea behind the Exiled Lands is that its a prison designed to punish you, let you feel the sting of death over and over. If you elect to have a Permadeath in your RP, make it creative as the magics here work towards keeping you alive to punish your existence daily.

The Forbidden Sanctuary

Welcome! We are a mature 18+ RP and ERP focused server with light PVP and PVE aspects.  Here you will find adventure, love and the struggle to survive in these grim and dangerous lands. While this is the Conan Universe, we strive to follow baseline lore while giving a lot of room and flexibility for you to create your own story. Bend the lore to create an epic tale that is all your own!

The sanctuary used to be a dumping ground for the exiled from Hyboria, but it's now a secret escape for those who feel that they no longer belong there. Here, in the Forbidden Sanctuary you will see all manner of creatures and peoples, many who are thought to be myth, or extinct from the lands of Hyboria. Here, they all live as free as they wish, building their lives anew in this land of freedom and opportunity.
But there is a cost... For those who come here are forever bound to the Sanctuary and are confined to it's boundaries.  

What will you become?  Just another exile to rot away as time flows eternally in the sands of the prisoned hourglass?  Maybe strive to take hold of the lands and others by ruling with a controlling fist.  Take slaves, slay your enemies and build a home worthy of a king?  Or will you lose your will and be taken by another?  Only you are in control of your fate, come see where that path leads you.

We have a wide variety of server settings and features to hopefully entice you to join, stay and have fun!

• We have a starting hub with quests and vendors.  Multiple challenges in the exiled lands.  We have plans to incorporate more quests, boss/challenge fights and dungeons.
  
• We allow the creative and non constrictive use to construct your character in a high fantasy setting and a conan setting.
  
• Have visual mods to allow your characters creativity.
  
• Players remain logged in to allow for a more immersive feel while being in your own home with others.  Or to make the risk real when you feel like camping in the wilds.
  
• Items are not dropped upon death for two reasons. One, we want PVP to have a roleplayed reason behind it, not just a a kill and loot. That's what the dungeons are for. And two, there are still sometimes when the game might hiccup and you die... we dont want that to be a detrimental thing to some players, especially new ones.
  
• Resource gathering and experience rates are accelerated here to help speed along progression and aid with RP.
  
• Global chat is always on because this is a friendly and helpful community. Admins will be around most of the time to answer any questions, and to help with any problems.
  
•  Pet and Thrall hunger is turned off because of our roleplaying focus, not micromanagement.  (nothing kills RP like "I have to go and feed the thralls." >.< )
  
• The Purge is disabled here, due to the fact that we dont want our beautiful buildings/towns/cities to be destroyed.
  
• Structures will not decay over time. We all work very hard on our beautiful homes and buildings, and we like them to stay that way. (Note: Admins will periodically look at all buildings on the server, and any structure that is abandoned will be removed.)

3. Consent of all sexual actions must be made prior.  Any forms of forcing someone past their comfort zone or any other forms of harassment will not be tolerated.

4.  No cheating or exploiting of game mechanics.  It is pretty pointless on a roleplay server anyway.

5.  Please do not advertise other servers, neither Discord or Conan Exiles ones.

6.  Be respectful towards other players OOC.  Discrimination towards other players in any way is not tolerated.  This includes race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality or anything else.

7. We all have our kinks, so do not kink-shame others.

8.  If you want to post in-game screenshots of various events to our discord, or anywhere else, get premission from everyone else involved.

9.  We are mostly an open-themed RP/ERP server.   This means you are free to create your own character to however you see fit, as long as it fits into our rules.

10.  Your character cannot be a minor or meant to look like a minor. This is an adult server, and means that all your characters need to be at least 18 years old.

11. Characters can be male, female, futa, herm, or whatever.

12. Anthro characters are allowed on the server.

13. Character names must be appropriate for the setting and immersive.  Admins will change your name in game otherwise.

14.  Although not required, filling out a simple or complex consent sheet or bio can be really helpful for roleplay.

15. Global chat is OOC.  Recognise that some RP players disable global so may not be able to hear you there.

16.  Local is used for In Character (IC) and roleplay.  Use /me or <> or ** or whatever you are comfortable with for most emoting, and avoid emoticons or abbreviations in local.  OOC messages in local should be marked as such, usually with (())

17.  Avoid using OOC knowledge for IC encounters, even though it can be difficult not to.

18.  Your body stays in game when you log out.  This does not mean open season on sleeping players.  Meaning you can not remove clothes and start having sex with the body, consent is still a must on our server.  Be reasonable...dressing them up in a clown costume is fine, stealing everything, while is acceptable is frowned apon.  Dragging them into a pack of crocs is not.  You are allowed to enslave them though.[/spoiler]

- There is no placing pillars or single foundations in an area to claim it.  If you are wanting to build in an area, you need to ensure you are able to atleast begin building when you settle in a spot.

- We ask that you use the appropriate building materials for the location of your base, aswell as t2-t3 when you are making multiple floored builds.

- Solo players can build in an area of 20x20x5.  Please use common sense, is all we ask.  If your alone please do not build a fortified fortress or a tower to the sky.

- Clans of two or more, we do not wish to restrict your creativity, but like solo players, please use common sense when building.  Meaning, we are not imposing a certain size limitation, if you would like to build a beautiful village or keep, please do.

Blood & Chains is a young EU, PVP, RP, ERP, 18+ server, with two admins that create events around conflicts.

 

The Blood & Chains server is based on the lore of Conan Exiles game. You are all locked in his cursed lands, condemned to suffer eternally. Although violence is everywhere, some exiles unite to create a semblance of civilization, sometimes just, sometimes cruel, sometimes at war with its neighbors. Others know only blood, plunder and carnage, accumulating wealth or sacrificing their fellow creatures to unnamable gods. Thus ephemeral kingdoms are born and die in the endless cycle of life and death of the exiles. What will be your place in this world ? Build your story, build your legend and face the consequences.

 

The server imposes very little limit on PvP. However, unlike the public server, you are asked to play your roleplay, whether you are an Aquilonian noble wishing to put some order in these desolate lands, a drunken Zamorian pirate and thief, or an ugly cannibal hunting human flesh. Alliances can be created, land can be claims, villages with several clans can be formed, lost taverns can accommodate tired travelers. The neighbor will not always be a monster, but beware of those Vanirs peoples who prefer the raids to the glory of Ymir.

You can speak your native language between yourself, but to communicate with others, it is better to know English (or French). Many wars are made by incomprehension. In all cases the communication with the admins will be in English (or French).

Sometimes, yes, although it doesn't seem to be such a huge problem anymore. The real problem is that a lot of the modders who created neat content seem to have lost interest in the game and their projects. Considering how small the community is for this game, thats a huge loss.

 

Still, I'd recommend you go for it. Play around a bit. The more interest we give the game, the more mods we get.

I enjoy the game; though, I don't play it a lot. I used to play AoC years ago. I like the survival bit but wish there were more quest like things... Or I don't really understand how the play the game... lol

The game itself is absolutely great imo. Great aesthetics, great game play, and great potential. Unfortunately the PvE content is indeed very lackluster, it most certainly needs quests. I came to a conclusion about this a while ago. The whole base raiding survival trend is a cop out to let devs just sit back and make money. Regrettably this game did the same, which is why Ive taken to modding it (among other reasons uwu). With everyone stuck grinding away at repetitive tasks (base fortification, rebuilding), they're distracted enough for devs to neglect development and content additions.

 

Its a great game to play with friends, but unfortunately my friends aren't really into it. I don't play online much anymore, just single player. I think that it has cult classic potential. But seeing how lazy the devs are, mods are its future. Considering the lore and the existing framework, its a great place for people who like adult oriented modding and gameplay to congregate. I'm surprised the adult modding community for it is so small. It would be a great way to revitalize the game and keep it relevant for years to come.
