SSE Mods compatibility

I've managed to get the custom voiced follower "Mour" by Teylin working in a shoddy way, though it seems to be working as it should be. Her body uses an HDT Tail and her base body uses an HDT version of whichever body type you choose, so the way I managed to bypass this was by manually installing the NMM-ready download, installing all of my options except for either of the tails, HDT or not (just to be safe), going into her mesh folders and completely deleting both armors (wasn't sure which armor featured the HDT abilities out of her two, so i just deleted both to be sure.) then i finally topped it off by copying the base female body mesh into her folder, successfully turning into a fully (hopefully) compatible follower. 

 

If you plan on adding this to the list, I suggest you put this in partially working or working if you choose, and make a spoiler containing this information.

Indeed, I tried some hackery to make it work anyways, I have had some luck in the past with that regarding SKSE Mods. Not here though. It was just an experiment. 

 

 

Not sure if someone else tried it, but I recently tried the OSEX mod myself in SE and it broke all my animations, even after running FINS. :(

Works, though I did run the esp through the sse ck before trying it.  Only checked the black soul gem version by giving myself 10 and then crafting it, and activating the item, it increased by carry capacity by the amount it should have done.

Semi works as some of them show up and some do not, the various robes do not show up, but things like the panties, and wrapped tops do.  I got this semi working by unpacking the bsa file and then deleting the esp, converting the esm to esp then running that through the sse ck.  Looking at the paths for the textures for the items that do not show, they look ok as they are in the correct locations but they do not show in game.

Here's a few things I've found to work with minimal effort in SE:

Coda's Monster Hunter Mod (No link, sorry) - Works when run through NIF Optimizer.

Lovergirls Race - Works as-is.

 

 

Things that PARTIALLY work:

ANK Castle - I'm not sure if a file is corrupted in this or not, but unless I remove most of the armor from the mod, it crashes around the NPCs. Given this is half of the fun of this mod... renders it kind of pointless. Not sure if fixable.

user619's Followers - Works fine... but the specular on the eyes are busted. Any fix?

FoxMerged - Works alright... as long as run through the NIF optimizer and you don't actually go into the store. Not sure if it's only on my end, but it crashes when I try.

 

I've also found almost all clothing/weapon mods, AS LONG AS THEY DO NOT USE SCRIPTS FOR SKSE, work after running through NIF optimizer...

The only caveat so far is that HDT mods, of course, do not work. By removing the HDT spells in SSEdit, they work fine (of course with the loss of HDT physics.)

 

All sound replacement mods seem to work fine, no problem, as well.

I did something last night that may be of interest here. I did this as a test and because I basically want in SSE what is in Oldrim anyway.

 

I was surprised by the results.

 

First I made a completely clean start by reinstalling original SSE and making a backup. There were no mods at all.

 

Secondly I took Oldrims meshes and textures and copy/paste them into SSE data folder.

 

I installed http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2970/? It's bat file setup tree operation.

 

I copied HavokBehaviorPostProcess.exe to a folder that is in the path.

 

I open windows console and navigated to SSE/data folder where the bat file was and ran it. About 12 minutes it processed all my animations including creatures.

 

I then ran GenerateFNISforUsers Skyrim SE from desktop and it reported all sexlab, creatures, special pcea2 were done.

 

I started SSE and Behold! All character special animations, all the character idles, all the textures anything not requiring a a esp WORKED!

hey friends, im not sure .... where to ask but....

after hundreds of hours (90% for trying out mods) i want to give Skyrim another try.

test all the kinky mods you released....

 

so  may i ask, what version of skyrim should i install ? standard or special edition ?

Definitely standard version. Just keep up your mod loading order tidy and sorted in order to prevent crashes or bugs. Im giving Oldrim another shot too atm and it works perfectly with all ENB graphics.
