No legal eagles here. Not legally anyway. How does one become legally an eagle? Is there some eagle visa you must obtain?

Self Indentification exists in a legal grey area so it might not be enough to say that one identifies as an eagle, legal or otherwise, as one may be misappropriating the culture/genetic heritage of the aquiline kind.

Fair enough.

Not being distracted by your local squirrel is harder than you think. What is so important about a squirrel you might ask? Nothing except that it is a motherfuckingsquirrel!

We've had regular visits from several squirrels in our backyard this autumn and winter, and I can totally attest that squirrels are amazeballs.

First year we've seen any whatsoever. I stand by the window every morning to see if they'll show up.

Careful or your life(or your nuts) may be in danger.

My nuts seem to be the main attraction. We have an ancient walnut tree that just keeps dropping double-sized walnuts every year. They're pretty damned tasty too, but as it goes, you don't appreciate what you have, so we tend to just share them with some of our more eager acquaintances. The size and texture of my nuts are pretty renowned, to the point where I've had to chase some people out of my yard for grabbing my nuts without asking. Or trying to hit them right out of the tree, which is beyond the pale because it hurts the tree. We've found more than usual this year, left them out in a pail, and voilà: squirrels. Zipping over the tiniest branches of the cherry tree, or hopping off with one of my nuts, which look even bigger in their tiny hands, they're so adorable.

The Idea posted on this thread of making the player try out every weapon in the game is an interesting one. It makes me think of how many games have enemy strengths and weaknesses to encourage weapon diversity.

This is great however I don't like the idea of enemy immunity. For example an enemy who has their home in lava may not be able to stand weapons or spells hotter than the surface of the sun and so forth. So I've been thinking what about something like a damage threshold system for elements sort of like the fallout games but one for each spell and weapon type. This could add some interesting depth to a game but as a consequence create the possibility that it may be too complex for gamers not to mention more stressful for game developers.

What do you guys think?

Metal Man could be destroyed by a single shot of his own weapon during the rematch in Mega Man 2 so it would not be unthinkable nor unprecedented, just unusual.

The amount of people complaining in dragon's dogma about this exact thing is legendary, which is the best thing ever because these same try to compare Dogma to Dark Souls when they are nothing alike in any respect.

Thresholds immediately cause rage unless it's a japanese sadomasochism dungeon simulator or warhammer 40k game, where such things are expected.

Now that I think of it that could really ruin fast weapons that sport damage over time rather than damage per hit. I figured there would be some backlash. I just never imagined the Japanese sadomasochism community would be involved. Just for clarification by Japanese sadomasochism dungeon simulator you mean Dark Souls right? Or is there really such thing as a Japanese Sadomasochism Dungeon Simulator?

It sounds like one of those fund it Kickstarter projects💰

Feminist type neighbor tried to push the 'strong independent' line on me earlier today, her ex pays child support and she's on welfare... not only is she not independent, she's dependent on every poor sap in the fucking country who's taxes goes to supporting her narcissistic ass.

If one were to use far too literal a definition of "No Man is an Island" in conjunction with this joke, one could come to only one conclusion: Epstein didn't kill himself as he was really the Genus Locii of the island all along and should still be considered at large (as large as an island can be).

Total quarantine is the only way to keep him properly locked him down.

If the island ends up sunk, one has an idea of what might have happened to him. Coincidental catastrophic seismic event or not? You be the judge.

Not really. For DoT weapons you simply add a different attendant damage type. AvP2 did this 20 years ago, nothing new.

I have thought of a tier based threshold damage but I guess that thought came 20 years too late.

I'm pretty sure it is missing the whole kinky dungeon part of of it. Can't exactly say anything about the sadomasochism part as I never played it but unless it pulls a DokiDoki Literature Club twist I doubt there is a dungeon going by the trailer alone.

The Furry Shades of Gay game on the other hand might fit both definitions. Given it sounds like a lousy fan fiction of a lousy fan fiction it may just be just the cringy shit some gamers want and the dungeon players want.

Again never played it.

Furry Shades of Gay is essentially gay porn separated by rounds of Candy Crush. If anything, it is more of a gay furry attempt at Honeypop than a fan fiction of the fan fiction of what itself may have been Anne Rice vampire novel fanfiction.

If one were inclined to pay for such things, it would be a better investment of time and money just to buy the porn (or financially back its creation). It is not as if it is difficult to find on the Internet, be it for free of for a fee, including the interactive kind with branching story paths.

I could at the very least understand why a pay pig would throw wads of digital dollars at someone providing the long distance Girlfriend Experience rather than just buying porn but buying such games does not give any sense of false intimacy with the creators.

Also, Dark Souls might be closer to Edging in video game form than outright masochism.
