I use Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim and Ordinator. There is a spell which allows you to cast three preset spells every time you enter combat. One of those will be Muffle. While your illusion skill won't skyrocket like in vanilla Skyrim, it will go up. Just make a beeline to the perk that let's your spells affect undead, dwemer, etc.

Scouting the tundra in preparation for the attack on Whiterun can be a long and tiring process.

 

While doing so, there are several things one can do to relax. (gifs inside!)

Stopping for a snack is one way of relaxing, and keeping well fed can increase one's performance in the field - protein is especially important!

 

Alternatively, blowing off steam with a bit of exercise is another way to keep one's mind clear on the battlefield.  Careful not to wear yourself out!
