Hi peeps

 I decided to open this thread coz the official KninkyWorld thread is waaaaay long now at 115 pages. And..yeah... that`s coz OnikiKay has spent a LOT of time and effort on developing a unique, crazy, fun, (add your superlative...here) mod that`s quite rightly got a lot of attention.

 

I`m not a modder or creator but out of curiosity I do look at mod codes and OnikiKay has done a fantastic job of bringing KinkyWorld to a playable WIP.

The idea behind this thread is to talk about parts of KW that you might find confusing, especially when you go from one version to another. Like I installed 2.4 in a game that I`d been using since 2.2 and you think to yourself...wait ...is this really supposed to happen?

 

Sooo... Talk about your gameplay here and anything you find confusing about gameplay or maybe mod conflicts etc...

Clothing system in 2.4 has been fixed! ...no more neighbourhoods of half dressed sims (unless you make your sims like that!)

 

Sooo...... I started a new world for 2.4 after just upgrading my old world that I played on 2.0and up. I would advise everyone to do that too, I know it`s a wrench giving up a world that you`ve spent a lot of time on but...

 

I like to play mostly on autonomous, let my sims decide for themselves what they want....so I load up a new world and let it play for a few days to let it set up before I turn KW on. Alls good, let KW load, Load anims. spend a few days at home with my household (2 cute girls).....Let them do what they want...

 

Fast Forwards.....they go meet other sims, go beach, go party, refuse KW interactions coz they`re inexperienced, get horny, go play with themselves, have bad dreams, neutral dreams, good dreams.....get experience in OnikiKays  mad , crazy, loveable world Start to suddenly get distracted from playing guitar at Waylons Haunt and suck a guy off in the toilets........suddenly decides to stop ordering a drink at the bar and goes whoring!

 

Anyways, have fun with KW and give OnikiKay lots of hugs for making this happen!

I think we need a seperated sub-forum for KinkyWorld like those Sexlab, Sexout, and LoversPK.

 

I think KinkyWorld is equally big and important as three above, we just lack of publicity. I think if KinkyWorld can be put at the front page, it will grab a lot of people attention and will even bigger by itself.

 

Breaking the Bethesda monopoly, btw... time for LoversLab to move forward.

I`m pretty sure I remember OnikIKay mentioni that they were a fan of Chris Hatch, a prolific and talented TS2 modder at Back Alley Sims that created Tits n Arse Stuff, more or less a TS2 expansion pack in it`s own right.

Well, it was partly your idea too Coz I agree with your post on the main thread that a lot of questions were minor and the main thread is getting very long now. That`s not a criticism of anyone posting there, just that a seperate thread could be useful. Soooo, maybe questions that only OnikiKay can answer could be posted on the main thread and more general questions or comments could be posted here.

 

I`m finding that 2.4 runs very nicely, one bug found so far is the WhoreToClient interaction which fails 100%. But the ClientToWhore interaction is working well for me. I was running a competition on an old save game that I`ve used since KW 2.0, between a  3 girl household to see who could fill out the challenges in the new woohoo skill journal. Theres some nice features there such as earnings and reputation.

 

It`s pretty close, all the girls earned autonomously after I set them to start whoring.

Very, very good idea. I don't mind reading but the main thread is really long and though everyone has been courteous you know the search police that we have on all forums will eventually surface especially as the mod grows.... So it's probably good to have a thread just for discussion and help. I'll be around keeping tabs and seeing progress but I'm off the grid for a bit. My mobo crapped out and I'm waiting on an RMA and deciding on whether I want to try a different brand even though it's under warranty I can't help much on new things as I was still on 2.3 but maybe I can help on older things until I get back up and running.

But she has'nt a Title in the Wohooer Sim Kart.

Ok, so all versions before KW2.4 used sex skill and there was no skill journal but now in 2.4 it`s been changed to woohoo skill and there is a skill journal. Maybe it was changed from sex skill to woohoo skill for coding reasons, I don`t know.

 

It seems that the professional title changes with the total amount earned. So the above screenies show street bith. They were slum whore before that. When they first start or haven`t started whoring professional title is unknown. KM writes this to the skill journal

 

I`m wondering if you are using career mods or nraas wooher/ kama simtra which might also write to the woohoo skill journal? When you say registered do you mean at the town hall with nraas?

Yep. it`s just a rank for now. I`d guess it would be possible to add a phone service for call girls based on that rank though or a stripper.

 

KinkyDance(strip dance) has been altered in 2.4, it`s now watchable by other sims and after a quick look through the the code there`s some other feature(s) related to kinkyDance too, but I`m not telling what they are, go and find out At the moment KinkyDance is based on the club dance animation But I guess other dances could be added if animators are willing to take that challenge on. I`ve noticed a few comments from people wanting to learn animating motivated by their interest in KM, good luck to them

 

If you play your sims on mostly autonomous, i.e letting them decide what to do instead of user directed, you`ll probably notice that 2.4 is different in gameplay. The arousal and naked broadcaster systems have been altered. There is a new hidden system called flirtproxy that seems to aim at increasing arousal by getting sims to flirt with each other.

Since my laptop is broken, I didn't play KinkyWorld up to today.

 

Can you tell me more about the new arousal and naked broadcaster system, as well as the flirtproxy? Does the naked broadcaster effect reduced? With flirtproxy, does sims flirt by themselves occasionally without romance traits?

I`m not clever enough with code to understand most things but my personal opinion based on playing KM is that the broadcaster changes are a good thing and means that KM does`nt take over your game as perhaps it used to. The clothing system glitch in 2.3 where sims would`nt get dressed properly did have a massive effect on arousal in my games but that glitch seems to be fixed now.

 

Flirtproxy might be trait based, but if you`re wondering why (some?) of your sims autonomously flirt more with other sims now then that`s the reason. Flirting did raise arousal in previous versions of KM

 

There`s things in the code that I won`t talk about because that`s upto OnikiKay to decide when to announce it, they have already said that there`s features already coded in KM that are not active yet. I just look to understand a bit more how KM works in my game.

Mine are real newbies in comparison. Pierina has been hanging around at Waylons Haunt with a bit of luck but I think the guys are a bit shy about propositioning her in public when it`s busy there. She did get in early one day though and got some business off the mixologist while it was empty. Then she went off to the libraray and some guy appeared from nowhere and decided he was having her without payment or consent.

 

Xue got her first client by hanging around outside the bistro.
