Sexout Intimacy

Recommended Posts

Hi!

A very interesting and cool sexout thinking mod (I mean not porn one).

I have a little probleme, I was using and old version of SDRL working at expected. but now i'm using the last one and i don't have any option of SODRL with my followers (Cass, Melissa and Veronica) I install it with a clean save (disabling all Sexout mods saved and enabling them), also i'm playing male character, if it can help ?

Like many people i was thinking the mod was not activate but some uniques npcs have a [friendly dialogue] option coming from SODRL,  I try using Small Talk or reset from the console option but nothing seems to work, is it a bug, a conflict, a non implemented yet feature or just me ?

Also where can we find the documentation of the mod, you write about the OP but i can't find it.

Thank you.

Both, but it should work differently for each.  Male and female PC are being built along side one another, but I have only tested fem so far.  The male side of things probably has issues that need addressed, but I won't know until I test it or someone provides feedback.

Thanks for the answer i'm actually playing a male PC and everything working fine

Do you have those companions on a leash?  If so, unleash them.  Currently you won't be able to tether companions to your hip and still have a two way relationship.  This may change later when I account for companions individually, and at least give them some ability to make choices within the all powerful control the PC has over an active companion.  ie.  If they get angry, they can't leave and are effectively a hostage to the PC.

At the core of this mod is the idea that NPCs should have a will of their own.  Anything that circumvents that will, must be accounted for, and so, those 'bypasses' to the NPC freedom to choose will be disabled until I can integrate them.

Also, if you were using an old release I'm afraid a clean save probably won't cut it.  There is no transitional accounting in this mod from previous versions whatsoever.

Friendly Dialog means they are incompatible.  ie. They don't swing your way, and must be persuaded over time to come around to your side of the fence.  So to speak.

The OP is the first post of this thread right here.  Just go to page 1 and look at the very first post.  That's the OP.

You're quite welcome.

EDIT:  I want to make it clear that I fully intend to support those players who wish to 'carry' their relationships around with them via companion hires.  It just may take some time.  However, I also want to note that it is my wish, that this mod take a back seat to companion specific mods in the strictest sense.  ie. If you install a companion mod, you'll get your relationship with that companion through that mod, and this mod will be disabled for that companion.  That's how I want this to work eventually.

Sorry for the question: what are 'vanilla hooks'?

Just a few 'for fun' options tied into some of the vanilla quests where they make relative sense.  ie. Talk to Dawes with less than 100 caps and gain entry to NCRCF via sexual favor.

Right now they're all more or less bribes.  But there will probably be more as I move through the game.  If you have any ideas/suggestions for others, feel free to toss them at me.

An alternative to getting into the NCRCF without cash?  Do you have ways of checking it against specific mods performing the same function?  'cause Tryout does the exact same thing, in that particular instance, and other mods might be doing the same thing elsewhere...

Shouldn't need to be checked against as far as I can tell.  If you click this mods dialog, this mod happens.  If you click another mods dialog, that mod happens.  In the event that it does get in the way somehow, all you have to do is bring it to my attention and I'll fix it or add it to the incompatible list.

That being said, this mod will probably conflict with tryouts in many other ways that are completely unrelated to hooks.  I would advise you to play one or the other as this will probably never be completely compatible with it.  From the beginning of this mods creation, I've been using it as my own replacement to tryouts, because I don't use tryouts.

Hello t3589!

I'm having a rather peculiar problem... I installed the new version of this mod today, started a new save, and activated the DRL. I set settings like "Public Morals" as "High", and since this is a part of the mod that should tell me right away if I exist as far as NPCs are concerned, I stripped down and took a stroll around every NPC in Goodsprings, standing around, walking around them... For no reaction. I checked the console, and I don't get any info on nearby NPCs... Which means that either a) I screwed up somewhere when installing the mod and somehow bcame invisible to the NPCs, or B) being naked isn't enough to trigger public outrage when public morals are set to high, which seems strange... And I also try to talk to them.

Wondering what went wrong, I activate the "Customize NPCs" option, and try to customize a random NPC... Resulting in  a blank terminal opening...

In the end, I did one last check to see if something in this clusterfuck was working properly... I ran to the NCRCF, and asked to enter the prison in exchange for a blowjob... Well, that part at least works.

So what I learn is that I screwed up a lots of things, but the sexual bribes part seems to work. Well, damn...

I really want this mod to work for me... It's the only mod I ever saw that wasn't just a raperaperape or pure prostitution mod (there is nothing wrong with those, I am sure many people enjoy them, but really they aren't what suits my tastes).

Thanks in advance!

PS: the only other sexout mods I use are "Lust" and "Wear and tear"... If that helps.

Could you explain what you mean by 'start a new save'?  Did you have a previous version installed or is this a fresh start?  If so, what was the date on the old version?  If it was several versions ago, you may need to either clean save, and if that doesn't work you may need to start fresh.

Does anything at all show up in the console when debug is turned on?  Do you at least see the PC appearance spam in the console when changing outfits?

I've heard of the blank console before, but never experienced it.  I think the last time that came up it was due to needing to start fresh.  It could also be that you didn't wait long enough for them to be picked up by the system.  However, if you get no debug spam in the console they aren't going to be picked up, so it could be another problem.

The only reason the console would be blank is if they haven't been run through the system at least once before hand.  Try loading a save before this mod was ever started.  I'll dig around and see what I can find.

EDIT: You can't really screw something up installing the mod.  There's no trick to it.  I take the 7z, rename the extension to fomod, install with FOMM, and that's it.  If you did that, then you did right.

EDIT EDIT: Tested from a fresh start.  Confirmed working as expected.  I suspect that's going to be your issue.  Let me know.

Hello!

By "new save", I mean I installed the mod (after clearing an old version, the 20141005 one) and then choose the "New Game" option.

Yes, I get the appearence spam, if by that you mean "masked lingerie" and so on.

I may ask a stupid question, but how long do the NPC take to get picked up (an estimate would probably be good enough to give me a clue here)? Do all the NPCs get picked up at startup, or do they dynamically get picked up as I meet them?

Thanks a bunch! And sorry for bothering you with noob questions!

Yeah sorry.  The more distance between versions, the more likely this kind of thing will happen.  I tend to work on this a little every day, which also increases the odds of that happening, unless you keep up with me.  On the bright side I think we're past the majority of those kind of changes.  A fresh start notation, and several clean save recommendations have gone by since that version you mentioned.

Not stupid.  It should happen when they see you anywhere from almost instantly to a minute if you have Game Pace set to fast.  It does depend upon how many NPCs are nearby who are also processing, but you shouldn't have to wait long at all (though incompatibles can take up to 3 minutes).

No bother.  I actually found a mistake in the morals script from digging around on this issue, so...  Thank you.  Nothing wasted.

I've also added a message indicator to the Customize NPC dialog.  In the next copy, if they aren't ready for customization yet, you'll get that message instead of a blank terminal.

Thanks. When you say fresh start, do you mean selecting "New Game" like I did, or uninstalling the game before reinstalling it? It would be a pain to reinstall all my mods manually one by one...

Well, I'm glad my noobishness led you to find a bug. Like you say, "nothing wasted". :P

New game is a fresh start.  Loading a save previously to enabling this mod is also a fresh start.  If you started a new game it should work.  I just tested it from a new game and it worked as expected.  If not, something else is a problem.

I can't see why Lust would break it, though I no longer use Lust and instead use Spunk.  Wear and Tear I have no clue, because I've never used it.  Just a stab in the dark, but if Wear and Tear is setting the NotNow NX on NPCs, Restricted Cells, or placing them in the Reserved List, that would block them.

EDIT: Just looked Wear and Tear over.  As I suspected, I can't see where it would conflict with this mod.  So that should be fine unless it's setting SO:NotNow on the player.  Which would indeed block this mod.  How you would get to NotNow from a new game I have no idea.

Thanks t3589! I'll give it a try right now to see if the NPC pick up after a few minutes, and if they don't, I'll try it without Wear and Tear, and if it works at either step or fails to work at all steps, I'll report back to you.

Tested fresh game with Wear and Tear.  Works as far as I can tell, though the cumulative scan stutter was pretty noticeable.  Other than that, NPCs are indeed processing.

Update in the OP.  Released earlier than planned due to fixes.  You can perform at the wrangler once.  It's only a test at this point.  There are no dialog hooks in yet for it.  Simply walk up to the right side of the mic on stage to give it a spin.  Still need to add music, pay scale, booking negotiation, etc.  So the PC won't make any money on it yet.

I want players to be able to customize their own performance music by dropping in and overwriting mp3s.  This would be very simple if I could use PlayMusic.  However, I personally turn my music off.  So now I'm thinking of adding a radio station so players that turn their music down can still hear it via the radio.  Which, I really don't feel like doing, but it seems my only choice.

Any suggestions?

No need to reinvent the wheel, if you want to use the ingame radio to play anything, just download the Radio Active Channel Extender (or Race for short) at the Nexus, really simple to use, you can start any track at anytime you want, shuffle them, play them in a row... I used it a while back, and only stopped because I found my use of it lore unfriendly, but I greatly reccomend it!

I installed the latest version, and I can't seem to find this "terminal" or item to start the mod anywhere. It's also not showing up in MCM, is that normal?

EDIT: Nvm, it wasn't activated properly.

Also, what are the different versions DRL.esm and DRLEx.esp?

By the way, I played something ages ago which had a sort of inbuilt stalking mechanic where stalkers would approach you and could either outright overpower you, but sometimes you had dialogue options to fight/submit and if you submitted they would sometimes lose interest, but I forgot if it was Sex Assault or this. Was it this by any chance?

Hmmm not sure.  There should be an inventory item labeled 'control terminal' added when you load the game.  If you're coming from an old release you'll probably have to start a fresh save.  I'm releasing a new copy sometime today with lot's of changes and additions fyi.  You might want to start with it.

This mod doesn't have MCM options anymore.  Though it does account for MCM options from other mods (SexoutNG).  I still have a lot to add to the wiki sorry.

The esm and esp is just my way of splitting up what can be reused by other mods in case someone wants to tap into some of the functionality/tracking data of this mod.  I may merge them in the future depending upon what happens when I get to the real dialog part.

That be this yeppers...  It still works that way for the most part, but there is more to come on the stalker end.  I plan to make them a bit more devious in the future.  ie. Instead of stalking you and waiting until you're vulnerable to approach, they act like any other NPC who is interested in you.  Until they strike.

EDIT: Update in the OP.  A lot of untested stuff added.  Still need to test show payment and dancing music (off stage).  I'll add more music placeholders later to give it some variety.

Tale of Two Wastelands...do I need to create another patch?

It was working earlier until I reset Charon, then he was never customizable again.  Upgraded to the new version.  No Casual dialogue options, and always not ready to be customized.  Went to DC.  Able to customize NPCs there and even reset and re-customize, but no Casual/Friendly dialgue options.  I do play with a modded Charon, but he is technically a vanilla companion.
