What happened to Devious Devices - Expansion.esm ? Captured Dreams Shop needs it to work.

Nothing happened to it, other than new stuff beeing added to it.

It's contained in the "00 Core" folder in the download file, along with various other shared assets like scripts, textures and shared meshes that are all required for DDx to work. Please follow the installation instructions ;)

Wonderful work!  The things you guys do with DD are amazing.

I'm not sure if this would go in DDx or DDi but would there be a way to have collars or some other identifying restraint piece be specific to a faction, region or city?  For example, if you are captured by someone in Riften, you get a Riften collar.  In Riften, you are just a slave walking around doing some master's bidding, but outside of Riften, you would have a bounty on your head for trying to escape.  Perhaps could be used to identify you as part of a faction too for DD regulations.

None of them actually, neither DDi nor DDx have any functions that allows for the player to be captured.

Other mods do though, to one degree or another, some that come to mind would be SD+, Submit+DD, Captures, Helpless and Cursed-Loot, you should probably pitch the idea there and see if any of the authors find it to their liking, as it's not something i can add to DDx.

I wasn't referring to the capture part, as that can be handled by Prison Overhaul, or various other combat mods.  But this mod could provide the faction/ region specific DD items and perhaps the functions to handle the bounty changes.  Other mods would just be able to take it from there.

If mods started incorporating such a feature and also need shared assets to make it work, then yes, it's the sort of thing that could be placed in DDx so several mods can draw use of the re-textures. That's part of the point of DDx, to share the wealth.

None do at the moment however, so unless i have authors poke me and say "Coops, we could really use this stuff!", then i'm already swamped with work as it is (yes, feel free to interprit that as "a bunch of stuff is planned right now"), and i'm not looking to pile on even more just now

I can appreciate that.  Thanks for answering.  I will be eagerly awaiting the "bunch of stuff"!

Here it is, but somehow the problem appears to have solved itself, or possibly it decided it was no longer worth crashing over.attachicon.gifPapyrus.0 - Copy.rar

The crash most likely came from excess Papyrus chatter. There's an awful lot of activity going on in that log started by a mod with an "_ae_framework" identifier, it's throwing out legions of "cannot be bound because <NULL Alias> on <NULL quest> is not right type" errors.

I'm not seeing any errors pertaining to DDx, so that's not where the problem is.

I think I found the problem, _ae_framework was actor events which I still had running despite the fact that I don't think any mod since the Chaurus pregnancy mod needed it. Thanks for your help.

Besides color, and given that we have leather and ebonite how about some glass? Transparent or semi transparent devices possible?

Fuck it!  I'm requesting lore-friendly PVC!

Rofl,

But your KENDO2 ! you can make it lore friendly.

While the knee-jerk reaction is to call such materials impossible and immersion-breaking in this quasi-medieval setting, Skyrim has magic, alchemy and remnants of a race that utilized physics-defying superscience. If we can have soulgem vibrators, surely we can handle alchemical synthetic leather.

Aye. With Skyrim a lot of people have been very sucked in by the Medieval-Scandinavian wibe that the game strives for. But Scandinavia it is not, this is Tamriel not northern Europe, Nirn not Earth, and compared to all the bizzare things that are accepted and official canon for the TES series, nothing in this expansion is actually all that outlandish by comparison

Ebonite may not be explained by official TES lore, but when juxtaposed against the advanced steampowered robotics, vampires, magics and curses, elven, cat and lizard folk and all the rest, i do belive the game just might survive my dastardly transgressions ;)

Between my character's job as a prostitute and everyone trying to rape or enslave her one way or another, I've fully accepted I'm playing Skyrim: Porn Edition, not Lore Edition ;)

Love your work!  Weird quirk - the "Custom Slave Harness" and 'Locking Slave Harness" when equipped, does not show on my character.  The regular "Harness" most certainly does, as does the "Ebonite Harness" and all color variants.  Both ebonite and custom referred back to my load order 19xxxx which for me is DD - Expansion.  Already uninstalled all the DD-family mods, re-added, boss'd, bash'd and FINS'd.  Thought it might be devious devices for bodyslide HDT mod so I deactivated that - same thing.

Also, when worn, the Custom and Locking harness do not fire the 'chastity belt' quest.  Anyone else experiencing anything similiar to this?  Thanks!

I've just noticed a couple of things. It seems I can craft an ebonite posture collar at the tanning rack with only one ebonite solution - no leather posture collar required. Also, I started a new game recently and used Skyrim Bound to start out in a full set of devious gear. I chose a red ebonite harness ring gag and it blocked food and oral animations. I thought the ring gags were meant to allow these? (I chose it so my character would have one orifice open for business, so to speak, but with a belt on too, all Deviously Helpless would play were boob jobs.) Not sure if it's only that gag, or if it's a problem with DDx or Bound but just thought I'd mention it.

Having a lot of fun with the new colours! Thanks.

The main DDi harness is a belt and collar in one. These two from the expansion don't function as either belt or collar and can be worn along with them. I guess they're pretty much there for looks as much as anything else.

EDIT:

Now that i've had some coffee and fresh air, and am actually fully awake and all that, i'm very sure i know what the problem is.

Custom harnesses were using Slot-52 prior to this update, but DDx 1.1.2 now uses Slot-58 for those meshes to avoid conflicts with the SOS mod.

Ergo, the HDT-Bodyslide mod you are using needs to be updated so it's mesh overwrites are using the correct Slots. You should probably make the author aware of that lest someone else has done so already (i have no idea what mod it is, else i'd do it myself).

Nah not true, the Ebonite posture collar also requires one "[06046AA0] <Error: Could not be resolved>" to ma... ohh..

Well it's fixed now, just did it and updated the Repo, thanks for the heads up ^_^

The ring-gag issue has already been fixed, along with a problem with the red armcuff recipe. You guys can actually play with these fixes right now if you visit the Github-DDx Repo, and press the "Download Zip" button at the bottom right of the screen (though do note that all GitHub builds can contain untested Alpha content, they are beta's not finsished products, use them at your own risk).

And i'm glad you're having fun with it :)

Hey :)

I'm about to start a new game and taking the opportunity to update as many mods as I can while I'm at it, including Expansion (which I think came bundled with DD Integration before?).

I'm wondering... do I really need the HDT (or whatever it's called) system? I really don't want that mod x_x and the only reason I'm asking is because in my previous game (current actually, haven't started the new one yet) I -don't- have that installed, and the only "problem" is that I will get a little popup prompt-like window saying I don't have it installed. Is that still the case? or will installing a newer version -without- the heels mode will make my game implode?

Thanks in advance!

That should still be the case.

Ah...that makes sense.  The HDT-Bodyslide mod is RustyXXLs; I've already notified Rusty.

I think you should be fine if you don't install the heels mod. The heels will clip with the ground though.

Thank you very much :) I can live with the occasional little prompt and heels going a bit underground and such =D
