Man some people are airheads. Once a "medical" or whatever term gets trendy, they're like these mad kids getting a balloon at mcdonald, waving it in every fucking direction hitting people with it, and soon they become the fucking balloon itself and their whole lives and persona is defined by it. Then they start conversations with branding everything and the slightest thing; like soon even a fucking popsicle is gonna be neurodivergent & bipolar; you tell them to fuck off and they pull the victim card like it's the winning card at fucking UNO of life. What's wrong with them kind of fucks. Bonus: Fucking Fuck.

This one is going ballistic already and it was only announced earlier today.

Manchester United have signed up as have Liverpool. United fans are on the warpath and I can't see 'pool fans taking it lightly.

European Super League.

No great surprise really, Football's just a business now. The fans will whinge a bit then carry on watching as before.

I was sorry to see Spurs sold out though, I have fond memories of Whitehart Lane back in the days when Jimmy Grieves was still playing

Football clubs have always been businesses, this is about the business model. They want to turn it into the American franchise shit like the NBL (is that basket- or base- ball? Who outside N America gives a shit?).

Not found a fan site yet where they are not ashamed and disgusted by their club's involvement in this. Not looked at a Chelsea site yet but United, City, Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal fans all gutted.

Anger, passion and humour:

As the man says at the end of the vid: "If you're a United fan and support this then go and boil your face".

Well, that's what we humans are good at: perverting any noble idea.

My favorite in recent times the "information society" that was talked a lot about around tthe start of the last decade, here at least. Basically, give everyone access to internet, and people will be smarter since they have all the information in the world on their fingertips.

And the reality? Social media with it's bubbles, conspiracy theories at all time high, flat earthers.

Doesn't piss me off though, i actually find it fucking hilarious :classic_laugh:

This is foreign owners - American, Russian and Middle East. Footie clubs are part of a community and have been for over one hundred years. Liverpool and United fans are together on this as are fans from every club I've seen today. Politicians from both sides are against it.

The French, Spanish and Italians seem to have the same opinion as us.

The German clubs and the German model are getting a lot of good mentions. Less so Barcelona with their "Més que un club".

PSG aren't one of the clubs but people are suggesting that is because they are Qatari owned and the World Cup will be in Qatar.

Don't look at me. I have no idea why my home country calls it football. The sport in question has very little to do with feet. It looks more like someone is stealing a tv rather than using their feet for anything other than running.

Also NBL. Is that National Bitch League?

The wheelchair effect? As a negative. I'm disabled, in a wheelchair myself. I try to have an active life and I have to hear this type BS so often. Having been told to my face by a fucking police officer, "Cripples shouldn't even go out in public, nobody wants to see that

" then to be denied a complaint form. Or the douchenozzels who think I owe them because their taxes pay my ssdi. I paid taxes too before becoming disabled. Hell, try doing the math once. All that tax money goes into a large account, then gets paid out to the recipients. It takes the contributions of over 2400 people to make 1 cent of what I get monthly. That means it would take almost 200 years of taxes for any 1 person to have given me a single penny.

As for VR games, I applaud every game designer who allows for seated VR gameplay. Granted, most don't incorporate seated play for the accessibility aspect, but it's there. I ended up on the linked post while researching how Skyrim VR plays with adult mods, but to see a post that puts being in a wheelchair in such a negative light, because being able to stand up and walk around really makes it feel like you're there. What, am I just some prop? Wheelchair users play plenty of VR games. Anything stated in a similar manner that alluded to race or gender is unacceptable, so why is it acceptable to say things like this about the disabled? Really growing so fucking sick of the ableist views.

The Super League suggestion in football. They wanted to create a closed league for the richest clubs in europe, where they would be guaranteed a spot. Thank god they met with so much opposition that they had to abandon the idea.

And just to add to the abortion topic a few pages back. Conservatives in a nutshell:

Chauvin verdict. Fucking mockery of the justice system and a god damned travesty.

I was surprised myself, yet I wasn't there so I have only the pure and faithful media to guide me.

Was this officer sacrificed for the public good to quell the masses that may riot again?

Was the officer kneeling for the national anthem and George Floyd's neck just happened to be there?

I was more interested in the story concerning a plea bargain offered quite shortly after the incident and the fact it was refused instead opting for the expense of a trial and the circus that followed.

Just a heads up, you have to be really careful about complaining about the polices' actions.  So many departments act like they own the town/city/state, which, in effect, they do.  When they have force, but are allowed to require anyone else (military aside) to put the fact that they, too, want access to force to be on a list, that's not freedom.  It's the good and bad of allowing leeway in enforcing the law.  If you get on the polices' bad side, they can, and very likely will, make your life a living hell.

So.  What pisses me off of late?  How about the fact that the "new guy"/help has proven himself to be yet another in a long list of worthless types.  I really enjoy what I do, but I'm approaching the end of my tolerance for pathetic bullshit on the part of the list of people over the years who have "worked" here.  Little effort, zero drive, and worst, he showed up today to pick up his paycheck, but NOT to work.  If you're in such a way either through sickness or critical situation (family emergency, etc.) that you can't come in to work, then you ALSO can't come in to pick up your fucking paycheck! I'm really tired of this shit!  But it's not my business, therefore I'm not writing the paychecks, so therefore there's little to nothing I can do about it.  Except grouse.  GROUSE!

To add insult to injury, I'd like to work my way in the direction of leaving.  But I can't.  Why?  Because I am literally the only person there doing the "actual" work five days a week.  Now, to be sure, others work more hours, but they are (one of) the *owner(s)* of the place, and they do the office side and the 'job list/setup' side of things.  That's different.  I don't own a thing.

Shades of 'Why do we get all the shitty assignments?!' 'Because you're the best we have! (read: 'reliable').'  Sigh.  Yeah, that sounds familiar.  The problem with being the reliable one is that (not that you would, but) you can't slack off.  ANY slacking off is noticed immediately, while the others, from whom such behavior is expected, can do whatever they please (within reason, of course) and get away with it.  Grrrr!

"Stan" Culture. In some ways, they're even worse than Cancel Cultists.

Cancel Cultists trying to rename what their doing to "Accountability Culture" or "Consequence Culture." Yeah, they're the last people who should be talking about either. If the majority stood up and held them accountable for their actions, they'd be hating life because the consequences would be dire, indeed.

Nobody will miss him.

That shouldn't be the point. It's not about sympathy or the lack thereof for the person that is charged, but simply due process.

- CBS partially doxxed the jurors

- Part of the mainstream media painted Chauvin as guilty no matter what

- Rioting and violence was commonplace, left mainstream downplayed that, the right mainstream acted as if there was nothing but rioting, the truth however is that even a few people rioting can cause a lot of damage, and that it did

- In comparison, the Capitol Hill thing was a joke but was treated as a serious insurrection and used to justify making DC a militarized zone

- Police violence isn't race specific, see Tony Timpa who died under very similar circumstances when compared to Floyd

You can claim that CBS didn't technically doxx the jury, but on the other hand twitter was happily deleting content about that one BLM-activist who used donation money to buy herself some fancy real estate because it was supposedly doxxing. The whole abolish the police-thing has also born fruit because the homicide rates in black communities have skyrocketed. One thing that always baffles me is how people love to recite statistics when it comes to police killing people and how blacks are over-represented but talking about how blacks are also over-represented in crime statistics is verboten. There even was a recent study that found no evidence that police forces target blacks whatsoever if you take into account all available data but due to political pressure it was retracted. Ironically, this whole fiasco will make lives for black people much, much worse because they're the ones suffering the most from violent crime. While the police isn't perfect, you can expect that officers will quit on masse (they've already done so) and the remaining ones won't do their jobs in black communities. People have been brainwashed - sure you can blame whitey for everything that's going wrong but that won't help you when a 'brother' splatters your brains on the street for mere pocketchange.

Oh boy? This is going to be another argument between police simpers vs police haters based on George fucking Floyd. I'm on team nobody likes this guy so fuck em.

That's precisely the problem. 'I don't like this person so I couldn't care less if something bad happens to them' is the most tribalistic lizardbrain take possible and has zilch to do with the rule of law that's the very foundation of any modern civilization. If everything burns to the ground, you won't have the luxury of not caring anymore.
