If after waiting, nothing happens, go to the next stage which is the auctioneer's bit. You may want to get out of the cell to avoid being stuck and separated from your master. I don't know that that would happen, but you can move to John Randall first:  player.moveto 1502530A.
setstage simpleslavery 30 - starts bidding but does not move you. However, the one time I tried it I was successfully sold.

Thanks for the help to others. I'll look through your log to see if i see anything. in the meantime, did you start a new game for the sole purpose of seeing if it works?

I have an idea, can you make an option for plugging into pet project as an outcome? so the player can ask some npc some seksy question and it adds that npc to a list of potential owners then later the outcome happens and they end up in the owners home stuck in one of those furnitures from display model mod?

hmm...i hadn't heard of that one before. looks interesting. it requires the npc to be your spouse, though.

No problem.

I didn't start a new game, just became enslaved. One of these days I'll finish the main quests in Skyrim once. One day. Somewhere. Probably over the rainbow.

I know that different mods aren't always eager to play well together and they weren't enough of an issue or I found information relating to different mods that I didn't worry about it. I think I know why. You'll probably tell me I'm wrong, but that's okay. :cool:

In the game where I was having the big issue, even though I could work around it, these are the pertinent mods (also followed by complete list under a spoiler): Devious Devices Assets/Expansion/Integration/Equip/Framework, Sexlab Framework/Aroused/Dialogues, S.L.U.T.S., Devious Cidhna, XazPrisonOverhaul, Deviously Enchanted Chests, Deviously Enslaved Cont. 13.xx, Estrus Chaurus 4.3x, EstrusForSkyrim (.esp disabled), FMEA, HorribleHarassment, Naked Dungeons, SD Cages, Sexlab Stories (and Devious), SexWithThieves1,  and TBOS_211216 (The Book of Sex).

I highlighted the ones that I think are 'interrupting' Simple Slavery. I tried disabling the mods or some of their features, but that didn't help. I did find another, probably unrelated, problem with this playthrough that I think it's fair to tell you about: 2 mods disappeared from my MCM menu. They didn't disappear from the game because I can watch them load up if I go to an earlier save. The disappearing duo are Dev. Enchanted Chests and Zaz Animation Pack. I know that sometimes one mod can have unintended consequences on another, so I figure a bug can as well.

the question is this: did you install or update simple slavery at any time during that save? if so, that is the issue - it will not work properly on an already-existing save.

Simple Slavery was never installed from the beginning. I don't like to install everything at once. I usually like to at least get to Riverwood, maybe even get my first shout before I install a lot of mods. In the case of my test pt, I reached Riverwood, talked to Alvor, and visited the Sleeping Giant Inn before installing SS in the second group of mods.

 

As for the playthrough I had a problem with, I was in Whiterun but I don't think I talked to the jarl yet. I know for sure it was before Bleak Falls and getting the dragonstone. I did change from SS 5.21 to SS 5.2 DFW version because I realized I installed the wrong one. It was before I ever went to Riften or became enslaved.

ok as for updating Simple Slavery goes the only way i know of for sure to have it work correctly is to have only 1 version installed on any game.

 

changing versions still works the same as updating it midgame.

 

i did update Simple Slavery a couple of games ago mid game. the results were ineteresting.  after doing a clean save then updating it mid game, the particular save game 

i updated it on everything worked fine (as far as i could tell),  a while later i rolled back to the "cleaned" savegame for testing something else out on, and that time Simple

Slavery went way waaaaaaaaaaaaay "out of whack". think for a minute ..it was the exact same save game and in 2 tries at updating Simple Slavery i got 2 totally different

results.  it seems to be a "luck of the draw" on updating mid game (or even switching versions). i have to say that Simple Slavery has always worked correctly (other than 

the occasional known bug) when it was the same version from the beginning of the game.

even those can cause problems

 

a couple of notes about adding or removing mods mid game:

 

1 any time you add or remove a mod mid game you get a problem:

     it changes the load order of all mods AFTER it.  this can cause problems for any mod that has scripts in it.  it can possibly break scripted mods to have their load order

     changed mid game.  their are ways around this singular problem, but you must plan ahead (ie BEFORE you start a game) and take precautions to prevent this single

     problem.

 

2 any time you remove a mod mid game it can leave stuff (scripts usually, but other things are possible also) "baked" into the savegames.

 

3 you can try using a savegame cleaning tool.  success depends on what was left behind, and what was not, to try to clean the "baked" information out of

   the savegames, but this is not a sure thing (and can possibly break the savegame in the process).

 

for reference purposes how i start a new game is in the spoiler (and yes i use AS-LAL)



1 from main menu choose option to start new game

2 choose pc race/sex combo, and looks (i have a favorite preset that i use most times for looks)

3 when pc appears (in AS-LAL start cell for me) go do something else for a bit (ie wait until all notifications have appeared and scrolled off-screen)

4 make a hard save (manual save game in a new slot)

5 start sexlab, and wait for notification it is read for use (load saved settings for it at this point)

6 reset creature framework (yes i use MNC).  this step is not needed by everyone every time, but it does not hurt and ensures CF is working right, and after it finishes loading make any adjustments to it

7 register ZAP (Zaz Animation Pack) animations with sexlab 

8 registar SLAL (Sexlab Animation Loader) and the animations i prefer with sexlab

9 make a new hard save (same as step 4)

10 load savegame made in step 9

11 wait out the new crop of notifications i get from mods that did not start yet (they were waiting on a game load or for Sexlab to be active before they finished their startup)

12 activate any mods that need manual activation (waiting for their notice that they are ready to go)

13 make a new hard save (so if i screw something up i don't have to restart from scratch)

14 adjust all MCM settings to preferred settings (load settings for mods that allow it)

15 make a new hard save ( i usually do this one thru console and give it a name like qs110 or something similar so that i know its a quickstart for a new game)

16 delete the hard saves i made prior to step 15

17 use the Mara Statue in the AS-LAL cell to actually start playing

 

with that process i have an over 99% success rate at starting a new game with all my mods working correctly.  not everyone has to do it that way.

individual mileage will vary. some of the steps are not needed by everyone (load orders and individual computers vary greatly).

You don't have to save that much or delete the old saves, but it doesn't hurt. There have been times when something crashed and I wished I had made a hard save. So I agree with all of that. Setting up a new game is a pain, but you can't rush through it. As he said, even save cleaners will not fix everything if you change things mid game.

Also do you know whether or not that if I dont have the Creature Pack installed, not only the packs I mentioned will still work, they won't use creature animations to add up the number of registered animations & reach the limit I can have active? I don't know if Leito has creature animations but I have it without creature pack & they aren't mentioned anywhere in-game or in FNIS when I run it so that's what I'm basing all of this off of.

I admit, I didn't follow some of that. But you don't put the new FNIS over the old - you delete the old and replace it with the new. It will probably be safe on an existing save, but it's hard to say. You might just have to wait until you're done with this playthrough and start fresh with the new FNIS.

 

If you mean the FNIS creature pack, I don't think failing to install it will change the number of animations. All that does is allow creature animations to work - it doesn't add any on its own. So you will need to cull the animations from other mods if you don't want them to be included in the FNIS limit.

The only required mods are ZAP and Fuz Ro Doh, the rest are optional and send you to this mod or provide a scenario to send you to. You'll want at least one mod that can send you to SS and at least one mod that adds an outcome though, otherwise this won't do much.

Then refer to the first few lines in the post:

Defeat Patch - If you use Defeat 5.3.5, this patch will help smooth the enslavement using the Devious Framework version. If you don't have Devious Framework and Defeat, you don't need this patch (although it won't hurt anything if you have it).

Note that it's referring to Devious Framework, NOT Devious Devices. If you don't have Devious Framework, only get 5.21. If you have Devious Framework but not Defeat, get the Devious Framework version. If you have both Devious Framework and Defeat, get the Devious Framework version and the Defeat 5.3.5 patch.

I got sent to Simple Slavery thanks to hired thugs that SD+ sent after me (not on the latest version btw) & the auction chose the Submissive Lola slavery mod. Problem is I didnt have a follower & the game didnt spawn me away from the auction with anyone. It started the Lola quest but did nothing to me & left me on the auction stage as if I went to the auction with no mods installed. Is this because Lola has been abandoned or was this an issue beforehand?
