[XCL] [0.21] The Wharf

A new area of Summer City to explore. You can stroll the streets and piers of The Wharf. Shop the many shops. There are both day time and night time options. Come play at The Wharf!

 

The Wharf has 17 mini-areas that can be modded into directly using passage tags. The list of downloadable mods and all the features follows.

Wharf location mods:

Jirkislo's - New Bar location. Pool shark. Special back room personalities.

Cemetery Gate - Adds a graveyard and creates tombstones for Game Overs

Gallery Pass - Adds an art gallery

Library Card - Adds a library. the library has books to read and in game information that can be researched. it also teams with Read a Book! for extra functionality.

Summer Park - A collection of paths to wander with nice views.

LaLa's Vintage Clothing - Alternate clothing store to Bonwitt. 

Redneck Virgin - Bar with a very backwards feel. Some Southern Hostpitality.

Valentine Surprise - Silly little valentine date mod. May get updated at some point.

Just realized I didnt change the out of bounds options from game overs to soft exits. If it warns you about leaving the safety of The Wharf, DONT GO. I'll fix this and upload a new version after work.

When I think wharf I think of some carnival game to win dumb little prizes, sight seeing with coin operated binoculars, and some people fishing. 

For the carnival game player gains small buffs for short period depending on which prize you win. 

Coin operated binoculars you might see something sexy or non-sexy

Fishing you might fish something unexpected like someone missing bra or wallet.

The viewfinders are already active in Wharf. Go to the end of the main pier and take a look.

Fishing is coming for sure. 3 different shore locations plus the ability to charter a boat. I didnt think about catching non-fish items. Thank you for the suggestion.

I like the carnival games idea. They will fit right in in the Arcade. There is already a fortune telling machine, but atm it just rips you off. I am working on tying fortunes to the TCG cards. Giving buffs was planned as well as launching events based on the fortunes.

Feel free to post more ideas here. I want to make the Wharf amazing!

I think I must have done something wrong (new to using mods) but I've tried a couple times so thought I'd ask.  🙂

I get the mod loaded and it seems to work... I can go to the wharf area and see various shops, etc.  However I can never leave,  There seems to be no way to exit the area and continue on with the day.  What am I missing / doing wrong here?

Go to Beach Walk North or Beach Walk Road or the Parking Lot and choose "Leave Wharf".

 

Avoud Beach Walk South exit, its bugged atm.

Yes, the one that links you to another site is the media file. Sometimes it contains a .twee for an old version however.

So some locations show "you must be on a date" how can i get a Date at the Wharf?

really? i see only twee files.

sorry but the warf doesn't work. i use the online patch but the warf isn't shown at beach, or menu in game. some pictures are not shown at bar after loading the warf

even when on a date (found in announcements board), the date locations do not show up and even when you use the cheat settings to show the links, you cannot click them as the date does not register as a date. which leaves most of the wharf inaccessible.

Getting an error:

I can't (display:) the passage 'generic bar bubba zipple' because it doesn't exist.

 

This is when buying bubble zibble from one of the Wharf bars
