[WIP] SexLab Aroused v2014-01-24

Just posted new version v20131203.

I had made many modifications / optimizations to cloaking effect, which is second suspect for CTDs after SOS. But it can not be disabled permanently like SOS.

Done some stress test on actor loaded areas, works solid but many things depend on setup and save history.

 

Changes:

- v20131203, requires SexLab 1.2+
- Fixed no more notifications in menu mod - thanks to @volfin
- Added automatic check if "Schlongs of Skyrim - Core.esm" is installed
- Added MCM option to enable/disable custom naked clothes for NPC, by default works only on PC. If enabled creates more stress on papyrus
- Added sla_Naked faction, for modders if -2 then "not naked", if >=0 then naked

- Many optimizations

Hello.

 

i made your Aroused mod a dependencie in my mod (APPS), as it makes my modding life easier when using an already available and functional framework. And while developing my mod, i developed new ideas as well and want to ask you, if it would be possible to include 2 more functions in your mod.

  • Add another stat, called Potency, which might be based on a calculation that's using HP, Stamina and the SexLab sex levels. This, in combination with a potion that comes with my mod, would allow some interesting things to happen.
  • A middle way for your clothing evaluation function, so it does not only differ between naked and dressed, but addresses skimpy clothes as well, so arousal still goes up, just not as much as when being completly naked. This would be useful for the whore clothes in my mod, as it would affect the PC and possible NPCs.

Unfortunately i didn't test your latest release, due to the reported errors and since i'm still working on bug fixing my mod i didn't want to risk other, for me hard to identify, error sources.

Due to this i don't know if you're using a scanner, to check if the player is naked or not. But it would be nice, if this is/would be based on events and/or dynamic keywords instead.

 

Of course only if this is applicable.

For those having the CTD issues with the new version, have any of you tried this on a new game?  Or is this when updating an existing game save to the new version?  I have just started a new PC using the new version (verified cache through Steam, fresh install of all mods), and haven't run into issues (yet) but I also haven't made to any of the locations specified as having CTDs (Candlehearth Hall, Whiterun marketplace, etc). 

 

Also, the SOS functionality:  What specifically does it affect.  Just a male PC?  All males?

 

SOS effects ALL actors (male/female) who have male genitalia, so higher arousal leads to higher SOS.

Lets see how stable this version for other users. And then I will release patch.

As work around you can just drop SoS core.esm in data folder, just don't enable it, it should work.

Potency should be a variable which can be changed by other modders so they can influence the arousal level and can define the decreasing value of arousal. It could be used as a simple multiplier. Changing should be exclusively to other mods.

 

Don't include a scanner for checking clothes. I was thinking about a similar solution you have already built in. You defined a formlist where ppl can insert their 'naked' clothes. What could archieve the same for skimpy clothes is just another formlist for this type and where mods can also easily insert their clothes.

Well, I put this new version in and no immediate crashes. But, I did upgrade with only this mod as the new arrival (so maybe that's beneficial). Anyway, I'll install a few more things and then play for real a while.

 

I did notice that there's a blank tab that comes up for Puppet Master. I assume that's where stats are displayed when that mod is installed? I don't have it, but it appears anyway.

 

Now, I'm gonna run off and install that mod, since I've been wanting to anyway.

 

Edit: oh yeah, forget what I said about Puppet Master. When I first opened that tab it was blank, and I just assumed something was missing. But since then, I've seen that it's just the normal exposure menu that comes up. So, that solves that.

Great Mod and great work.  I have noticed one issue with the new version.  Once upgraded, the Puppet master MCM sub-menu is now blank. 

 

There are too many mods with dependency on Aroused to be able to uninstall just aroused, I've tried and immediate CTD.  Even uninstalling the dependent mods and then aroused, no save game will load. So I just swapped out the old with the new and loaded.  Everything works but the Puppet Master menu remains blank.  Not sure if its due to how i upgraded.

On update I forgot to set default value for puppet.

So just hit 'N' and it will fill in the puppet.

creature arousal might be something in the future... idk

 

can be a popup window or dialogue window or no window at all and just keep going...

I too have had to roll back to Arousal 20131010 downgrading from 20131203.  I tried toggling SOS stuff on then off the on and it was near Falkreth.  Playing a female elf... I don't know if it is trying to give her a penis or what.  Since the roll back that intermediate crash has turned into a freeze, but I think it might be another mod because it goes longer before the freeze

along with moving my MO folder back to the same ssd as skyrim is installed on (time to buy a bigger/faster ssd lol)

only thing that worries me now is the over heat alarm on my dual sli gtx 670's

There have been many reports of CTDs on upgrading from v20131001, I don't have the correct recipe of how to avoid this, but here some tips:

1. Changing load order - totally useless, does nothing.

2. Enabling/Disabling SOS in SLAroused MCM menu - also seems useless, it has no effect on CTDs.

3. If clean saving - try to play for 15 mins with SLAroused disabled, this might allow some function to run out, effects to fade, and papyrus garbage collector do it job.

4. Then upgrading - go to small cell that has no NPCs, say followers to stay outside. Wait for for few mins in the cell, then save, copy over new files, load game.

5. Try 3 and 4 with different save games, this is best tip in my opinion.

6. If nothing helps, w8 with upgrade until you start new game.

7. Do NOT go forward and back with versions at same save timeline, this will drive papyrus crazy.

Aroused has stopped working.  Arousal does not change for PC or NPC.  How to fix?

Figured it out.  It was Devious Devices conflicting with Aroused.  Didn't re-build the Bashed Patch after cleaning DD for the Masses.  Somehow that froze Aroused.  Working now that the leveled lists are fixed in the Bashed Patch.  Weird

SOS support - sclongs of ALL Skyrim residents will respond to arousal, hands free

 

What exactly does it do, do all the males have erect penis sticking out of the armor or does it increase the size of it or what?

Sclongs work like intended by nature. Arousal goes up so does sclong, arousal goes down so does sclong.

Place naked female in front of naked male and see what happens.

Size and sticking out of armor is not handled by the mod.

There is no consensus, I recommend to clean save just to be sure.

Ok so it just makes the erect then even if not engaged in sex. But doesn't that create clipping issues with the armor the males wear? Unless i am still misunderstanding what you mean by what happens.

 

Only thing I use SoS for is mostly for the body replacer so the males have erect and not erect penises to use with the other mods with sexlab. So if there is more features it can do, I have not explored them.

With properly installed SOS you should not see sclong emerging from armor.

Sclongs have 12 positions and SLAroused changes them according to arousal level.

During sex the mod lets SexLab to override the positions.
