 This problem has been noted, see the earlier posts for more details.

You may have more success if you limit the number of Sexout plugins

to a small amount. Sex Assault works well if you don't have any other

plugins active, for example. Sequential animations that run from a script

will often only work on the first animation, so Sexout Sex or Strapon Sex

will have this problem under some scenarios, as will the MSex mods.

Add Sexout Player Slave (alpha) to the list of Positioning-breaking mods.

It contains a gangbang sequence, denoted by 'SexCount: 1' 'SexCount: 2' etc.

where positioning fails after the 1st or 2nd sex act. Sexout is still running,

but is unable to get it's hooks in, and no "positioning is now active message appears'

 

I left a note with Ichabod to contact you for any tips on making his new mod

work with yours.

Yep, not having Positioning is like... well... missing

the hole by a little bit and having a dick stuffed up

your nostrils.

 

 

Well, looking at the internals of Sexout Player Slave at least gave me an idea for another method of implementing Positioning, now I just need that elusive thing known as "free time".

I applause your efforts on this mod regardless of the results. :D

Post your load order so we can see what mods you have active. A screen cap of the developer's console would also be helpful; it should show some info related to Positioning that might show what mod triggered the sex animation that is not working with

positioning. If the animation launches with one of the characters halfway embedded in the ground it might cause Positioning to abort. Positioning can be considered to be under development. I don't think it will break anything; it simply won't work under certain conditions, especially a mod that grabs hold of your character and forces them into a sequence of sex animations. Under those conditions it may work on the first animation, but not on any successive animations. You may need to exit the game

and restart it to get Positioning to start working again, from my experience.

I personally have not had a problem with it failing whilst moving my character, even to the extent of moving the penis from

the vagina to the mouth (having fun with screencaps).

 

 

Just wanted to add that yet another person is having issues with this mod, and that would be me. The mod seems to stop working if you move your character around too much and sometimes it doesn't start at all.

 I've got some questions about sex animation scripting techniques that would increase

the likelihood that Positioning will work correctly.

 

 I'm helping someone out with a mod, so it's the perfect opportunity to ensure that it's

done right. I'm not doing the scripting myself, in fact I don't know a thing about scripting,

and am covering the artistic aspects. Mostly I need a few tips for dealing with Positioning

failures on the second sex animation of sequential sex acts. I know that two sequential

animations need about a fifteen second gap in between them to avoid WTF failures, but

I also see it happen that if there is dialog between two successive animation it will cause

a failure of Positioning to assert itself. I'm thinking maybe there is some sort of script that

could be inserted following the dialog that could allow this problem to be avoided; some

sort of reset or such, or maybe there needs to be a time delay following the dialog (which

is not really desirable from a pacing standpoint).

 

 I'm more fussy about this working than my partner, so I figure if I can get some suggestions

I can just dump them in his lap and say "Here, try this and I'll stop nagging you" ;)

 Positioning is no longer working with Sex Assault or Sexout Sex. Odessa said to post here about

Sex Assault.  Latest versions of those two mods (downloaded yesterday)

 

Sexout NG 2.6.85

Sexout NG Data 2.6.81

Latest Sex, and Sex Assault

 

It stopped working when I installed 2.6.85

 

It still works with masturbation

 

No 'Sexout Positioning is Now Active' message at the start of animations

 

Edit: Add the latest Bangatron to the list, except for masturbation.

Create a "PlayerDispel.txt" in the maindirectory next to your FalloutNV.exe

xx is the mod index of SexoutPositioning in your load order

 

player.dispel xx000803 [Edit: not needed]

player.dispel xx00080E [Edit: not needed]
 
Everytime after a sexanimation use the consol and enter this line: bat playerdispel

 Thanks for that suggestion, SaotomeRanma. I was going to go

back to an earlier version of Sexout and all of my favorite mods,

but that would have prevented me from properly beta testing my 

mod partners' work. Not having Positioning is like driving a car

with no steering or brakes ;)

 This is what I've been using to keep it working. Other bugs to watch out for:

If you hit the '0' to stop the timer, female NPC's redress, and if other NPC's

are engaged in sex acts while you are, the stop timer function may cause

your PC's sex act to continue forever, and all the function keys become inactive.

 

 Also, if you don't have at least 7 seconds or so between consecutive sex acts,

Positioning will get a WTF error every single time and stop working for the duration

of the sex act. 

 

 I don't consider Positioning to be a crutch, I see it as an essential feature to deal

with a mish-mash of different animations, strapons, unlevel terrain, feet sticking

through walls, dicks not lining up perfectly with holes, changing a vaginal animation

to anal or vice-versa and more radical changes which can look pretty cool with closeups,

and for those times when everything is perfect, and you want to let the animation

keep running while you sit back and enjoy the ride.

I think I've fixed the (or an) issue with positioning stopping working, there was a rogue 'return' in the monitor script which could get it stuck rather than dispeling. Possibly lasting for 9999 seconds.

 

I also increased to movement speed multiplier from 0.1 -> 0.2. Incidentally, you can adjust this in game by entering "set SexoutPosPAmt to X"

 

I think I know why Astymma said he wanted to rewrite it ;).
