Family Oriented [Stellaris 3.11 Update]


 Currently what this mod aims to do is add incest content to the game because I wasn't getting enough crusader kings incest from Stellaris.

This mod has full support for Lustful Void but does NOT require it anymore.


Features:

 

  • Heir Pregnancy (WIP)Chance to fire about every 6 months where you can choose your offspring's gender and their future role. (Truly one step closer to space crusader kings)
    • Details on the current Pregnancy system and how it works below:

      • Once the event fires and you pick your future offspring's gender and role, your heir will get the pregnant trait for 1 year and cannot be impregnated until their current offspring matures past childhood development.
        • In the future this will take into account heir and ruler genders but at the moment it only applies to heirs even if they're male.
      • After 1 year, the pregnant trait becomes replaced with the childhood development trait for 6 years, your heir still cannot be impregnated again during this period.
      • After 6 years, the childhood development trait becomes replaced with the adolescent development trait for 7 years, your heir can be impregnated again at this point.
      • After 7 years, the childhood development trait becomes replaced with the adulthood development trait for 5 years.
        • In total this means you can have your heir taking care of 3 offsprings at once, one in their childhood phase, another in their adolescent phase, and one more in their adulthood phase.
      • After all 4 phases are complete, a new leader will be spawned in your empire based on what you initially picked at the start of the event.
        • In the future i'd like to make it so at least one event pops up on each phase of an offspring's development that can shape what traits they get when they reach adulthood and interactions with them similar to how your ruler interacts with your heir.
      • Also if you really want to cheat there's a button to fire the conception event in the debug menu. Don't use it if your heir still has the childhood development trait, it'll likely break stuff- You've been warned.
    • Currently I've set a hard limit of 10 living family members but I'll likely increase it in the future based on tradition, technology, and/or civics.
    • You can see the chance of the event firing by speaking to your heir and hovering over pregnancy chance, the chance is based on your ruler/heir traits and whether you have the Oedipus Complex tradition effect and have the holy family or pureblood dynasty civics.
      • Chance modifiers listed below, I plan to add more so feel free to suggest what should affect pregnancy chance.

          If you're familiar with Stellaris random lists then this should make somewhat sense. Base weight for nothing to happen: 1000 Base weight for pregnancy: 10 (1% chance essentially)

          • Most of these numbers are based on their effect on pop growth.
          • Family Oriented Trait: 20
          • Breeder Hips Trait: 10
          • Huge Penis Trait: 10
          • Multiple Penises Trait: 10
          • Lewd Mind Trait: 5
          • Large Penis Trait: 5
          • Oedipus Complex tradition effect: 100
          • Pure Bloodline Trait: Multiplies sum by 2
          • Holy Bloodline Trait: Multiplies sum by 2
          • More to be added eventually.
  • Predetermined Heirs (broken atm) - Added an event for one of your offspring sired from your heir to take the heir position if your rules dies. Current event window is a WIP.
    • Currently if you have multiple offspring, one will randomly take the throne but eventually I'll have it where you can choose between your sired offspring.
  • 1 Origin (Needs rework) - Family Bound, starts with advanced incest tech and the main species starts with Incestuous Emergence. (More to be added to the origin in next update)
  • Origins with special interactions/events with modCurrently only the Under One Rule Origin.
  • 1 Policy - Inbreeding policy for deciding whether you want to spread the love outwards or keep it within the family.
    • Prohibited > Not default (Will stop spread and strongly removes it over time from incestuous pops)
    • Discouraged > Default for other empires (Will stop conversion and removes it over time from incestuous pops)
    • Indifferent > Default for imperial empires (Will stop conversion but does not remove it from incestuous pops)
    • Accepted > Default for any empires that take any of the civic traits (Will slowly convert non incestuous pops)
    • Embraced > Default for the incest origin (Need to rework) (Will strongly convert non incestuous pops)
  • 3 traits - Incest related trait and an advanced version of it. And one more locked to the Family Bound origin.
    • They cannot be gene modded in except at the start of the game but in the future can spawn with events, incestuous pops can convert non-incestuous pops depending on the above policies.
    • It is not a bug that you cannot apply the species template to pops without the matching trait, that's intentional and if you're fully embracing it via policies then all your organic pops will eventually have the devoted version of the trait and you can freely gene mod them.
  • 3 civics - 2 for imperial empires and 1 for regular empires.
  • 1 Tradition Tree - Consanguinity, revamped by Vaalesha.
  • 2 Council AgendasFamilial Destiny, accessed after adopting the inbreeding tradition and Holy Family Ascension from the Holy Family Civic.
  • 2 Council PositionsRoyal Family Representative position for the Pureblood Dynasty Civic and Divine Vessel position for the Holy Family Civic.
  • Heir Choice - Imperial empires are able to choose heir genders and leader class whenever they first spawn.
    • Heirs are now able to change their job role with a 5 year cooldown that replaced the old agenda system for heirs.
      • Might look into making the heir reroll traits to better fit their new role or to level up in their new role with an experience boost, suggestions welcome.
    • ( Note: If you change your heir's gender, you might not see the portrait change until you reload your save. )
  • Heir Interactions (Speak to your heir through the edicts menu) - This feature needs an expansion/more lewd content..
    • Ruler/Heir genders can be changed for scenes via preferences menu. This will not physically change their genders nor will the game reflect the change (I might make it an option in the future), this is mainly if you wanted to see other scenes/variations without changing your rulers/heirs out or starting a new playthrough. It's also if you wanted to override traits like the Futanari trait to only apply to your ruler or heir instead of both if they both species with the Futanari trait.
    • Ruler titles (both formal and casual) and heir relations can now be changed, you can change these in edicts. No in-game mechanical benefit as of yet but heir hangouts/lewds will now have a more personal touch based on your preferences. (Might add more titles/relations in the future. Feel free to suggest.)
      • Female ruler titles include - Mother, Mommy, Sister, Onee-chan, Cousin, Aunt.
      • Male ruler titles include - Father, Daddy, Brother, Onii-chan, Cousin, Uncle.
      • Male heir relation include - son, cousin, brother, nephew.
      • Female heir relation include - daughter, cousin, sister, niece.
    • Future scenes will have asset descriptors based on species traits (huge breasts/small breasts/large penis/etc) (Currently 1 scene has this)
    • 1 WIP Hangout scene, no variations. (More to come)
    • 2 Lewd scenes written by BestyTheHucow (FxF)
      • One is triggered as a random event and has variations written by me for non FxF. I plan to do the same with their previous written event.
    • 1 Lewd scene intro complete, 4 variations depending on ruler gender/title and heir gender/relation. Will lead to different planned scenes below depending on gender combinations.
    • Planned Lewd scene options include: *Any crossed out scenes now exist in the mod*
      • FxF = Tribadism, Recieve Cunnilingus (Written by Nemo Of Utopia), Give Cunnilingus.
      • FxFuta = WIP, Give Fellatio.

  • 1 job - Family Planners, recently revamped by Vaalesha.
  • 2 Edicts - Holy Family Ascension Edict and Heir Interaction Edict.
  • 1 Tech - Gives modification points and access to the advanced incest trait.
  • 1 Colony Event with two options - Needs incest haven civic or Family Bound origin and a pop with an incest trait or to adopt the Consanguinity tradition tree.
    • Gives a planet modifier that has an advanced version when starting with the family bound origin or completing the Consanguinity tradition tree.
  • 1 Country Event triggered in incestuous imperial empires (either through the origin or having any of the civics). Will be able to have a chance to fire after your empire gains factions (after 10 years from game start in vanilla).

 

General Note: All values within this mod are subject to change at any point so feel free to make balance suggestions if you feel something is too weak or too strong.

Balance isn't the focus of this mod but I like to make sure that I don't shoot myself in the foot just because I want to screw my alien space sister. I try to compare values to vanilla as well as lustful void's own and find a nice middle ground somewhere between the two.
 

Note on Heir Interactions:

  • So every scene written will have at minimum 4 9 variations, I primarily write FxF first and then adjust the scene until it fits all variations. I'm not the best writer but we've all seen really badly acted porn right? Things I'd like to do include figuring out how to include different familial roles such as brother and sister or different dominant role positions, if you're into being dominated by your heir since most of my writing will primarily be written with the ruler being dominant. In any case, I have so many ideas of where this system can go but I'm only one person- But that's where you can come in! Either feedback or submitting your own scenes,
  • If you're even a little bit confident in your ability to write smut (or non-smut for hangouts) then feel free to post a scene written in second person in this forum and I'll make it into an event with variations in the mod with credit to you. Make sure it's original and that you're not copying someone else's work from online and ideally please make sure your English writing is decent since I don't want to spend too much time rewriting/correcting mistakes and won't bother if it looks like it's too much trouble.
  • Other things to note if you do write scenes, try to keep any one continuous panel under 3000 characters since anything more won't show in game. You can split scenes longer than 3000 characters into multiple panels.


Make sure to report bugs otherwise I won't know to fix them until I encounter them myself~

    • I rushed with their effects and descriptions so they could change (or not because I'm lazy) and my implementation of non-incestuous pop happiness is very rough and I'd like to figure out a different way when I want to sink another 4 hours into trying this one effect.
      • For example, not actual values: Incestuous traits for example get a +20% bonus to happiness on top of the -10% from the policy to equal +10% happiness as intended.
        • If I could figure it out, what I'd like to do is instead have non-incestuous pops directly take the negative happiness and incestuous pops be unaffected with their trait bonus being at 10% instead of 20%.
  • Adjusted names and descriptions for the tradition tree. Still figuring out values and effects of the tree on the right side, working on incest adoption boost first. (Thanks to Aled190 for the suggestions!)

Version 1.1.3

  • Tweaked family planners modifiers. (this was months ago, I don't remember what I did)

  • Update broke the heir startup thing and made it repeat twice (At least on my end), I fixed it I think but I won't know how it works with multiple leader cycles because I haven't tested a long playthrough yet. This was hell.

    • Need to add a new image to the heir picking event, since I finally noticed that it disappeared and I don't remember what picture it was.

  • Reworked the heir comms system to allow for the new ruler/heir designation system:

    • This enables you to change your ruler/heir's gender during scenes and interactions from the preferences menu. Note: This not physically change the ruler/heir in anyway like the initial heir gender change event but instead is just meant for the player to be able to see other scenes/variations in the mod or for example if you wanted to be a Futanari Ruler but want your heir be a non-futanari heir despite both of your species having the futanari trait- This allows that.

    • I haven't added every scene into this system yet I think but is added onto my growing list of random shit that need updating.

  • Figure out passive incest adoption instead of through trait modding, very basic implentation of that.

Version 1.1.2(Beta)

  • Still in beta because I haven't had the time to do a full long playthrough but small tests I've done haven't crashed the game yet. Small update but big inspiration for this mod has struck me and Lithia updated lustful void (Thanks for all your hard work!)
  • Finished the first Female x Futanari Give Fellatio scene, accessed by being a female ruler with a female heir with the futanari trait.
    • The way I write scenes is very limiting with the 3000 character limit for the game's diplomatic screen and I struggled to make this feel distinct without having to add a whole other page.
    • Because of this, the scene may feel cut on fluff details when compared to the same scene of different gender combinations, but more focused on asset descriptions.
    • My solution to this moving forward is to write Futanari x Futanari scenes first, then remove parts/change details as I make the other variations.
    • My next goal will be to get the Male x Futanari Fellatio scene done, Futanari x Futanari version of the scene. Then switching focus to creating variations for the original intro lewd scene.
  • Created the portrait version of the lewd scenes for those that want to see their race mods instead of the custom art during lewds. Check preferences to change which you want to see.
  • This took a lot of time but I figured out how script values kind of work- I'm planning on making incest traits more dynamic/playstyle focused. One of the ways I do this is the changes I've made to all incest species traits.
  • Incestuous traits now have a variable pop growth modifier that shows on a planet when growing pops (that doesn't show on the trait tooltip yet).
    • Incestuous pops have growth rate proportional to how many pops on the planet have an incestuous trait subtracted by any biological or lithoid pops that aren't incestuous.
      • Incestuous Interest 15% Max growth rate and -10% Min growth rate.
      • Incestuous Devotion 25% Max growth rate and -15% Min growth rate with a 1.1 multiplier per incestuous pop.
      • Incestuous Emergence 40% Max growth rate and - 20% Min growth rate with a 1.25 multiplier per incestuous pop.
    • Incestuous pops thrive when by themselves or in similar societies but suffer when scrutinized by the majority. Thus you're inclined to play without alien migration/many different aliens to maximize on this trait. Only Biological and Lithoids pops are counted when subtracting meaning you're free to have robots, the won't judge- Probably.
    • Like growth rate, I will very likely change happiness to a variable value dependent on the amount of incestuous pops on a planet.
    • Unsure if I will touch the other parts of the trait but I'll adjust as I might make incestuous interest a 0 trait and only to be picked during game start.
  • I've currently made it so incestuous traits can't be removed or merged off but can be added.
    • This is to further my goal into making it a more playstyle dependent. I plan to remove the one incest technology or make into something else as I want to tie in the advancement of the trait into the tradition tree- Similar to how latent psionic becomes full psionic.
    • My plan will be to make an incestuous society that has fully embraced the tradition be able to cause non-incestuous pops to within the society to accept it over time. Possibly a very low chance to spread to other pops even without the tradition.
    • Eventually I'll make an ascension perk that pertains to this/uses the incestuous emergence trait.
    • I also eventually want to make an relation modifier that gives negative relation bonuses to non-incestuous empires, the malus wouldn't be too big but would help reflect the taboo that is your societal norms. Might add polices which allow/disallow incest and thus give an option for empires to purge incestuous pops.
  • Attempted to fix heir name generation, still don't work with custom names but works fine with random names generated from namelists.
  • Version 1.1.1 (Beta)
  • Lots of changes over the few months have been left incomplete/put on hiatus to stop scope creep.
  • Added an Incomplete tradition tree that's been left in so I could gather feedback/ideas.
  • Added Advanced incest synergy planet modifier to empires that take the family-bound origin or finish the tradition tree.
  • Added framework for Futanari Integration, currently scenes are incomplete but you can see a bit of it if you play a female ruler and have a futanari heir.
    • My implementation checks whether your heir is female and then checks if they have the futanari species trait, it's not the most flexible solution but for now it'll have to do as I want to focus on adding futanari variations to all existing scenes before adding new scenes.
  • Added framework for asset size detection, basically no scenes at the moment use except for the futanari scene which references variable breast size according to species trait.
    • Whilst these add a flavor of customization, it won't make a meaningful change in the scene as all it does is "Her chest heaves" > "Her large chest heaves"/"Her modest chest heaves"
    • It might be nice to have variable sentences that change depending on the assets used as in "She takes mommy's cock fully" > "She struggles to take mommy's huge cock." > "Her elastic pussy can take mommy's cock wonderfully." - But that's a lot of work that sounds like it should come from a different mod rather than mine.
  • Added a VERY EXPERIMENTAL pregnancy system that requires a country flag to see. (Country flag is: FO_lv_debug ) This pregnancy system in the future will allow you to get either your heir or yourself pregnant and then your offspring can be assigned to be a leader after they've grown old enough.
    • So far the system works somewhat as far as spawning the leader and allowing you to choose where they go but I've yet to think of all the details other than having them be given a special trait that connects them to your imperial family.
    • I'll be putting this on hold for a long while as I try to narrow down my scope of features to work on.
  • Added two new images, one for male and female lewd scenes. The male image replaces the old one.
  • Changed holy family and pureblood dynasty to have governing ethics attraction instead of edict cost.
  • Changed incestuous acceptance to have a negative emigration push instead of xenophobe attraction.
  • Probably other minor changes and localization corrections I forgot to list.

  • Reworked holy family and incestuous dynasty civics. Instead, they focus on giving unity and empire size penalty reduction instead of influence gain.
  • Changed Incest Haven to Familial Society. (Idea from Screws)
  • Added Family planners (these jobs are just basically glorified breeders but also give unity and amenities) to the Familial Society civic. I'll eventually add a picture to these jobs as well as figure out other places I can put them into, for example in the origin.
  • Added casual ruler titles that are separate from formal ruler titles for even more personal touches in scenes, options are the same as the other titles since I'm out of brain juice to think of new ones. Suggestions welcome.
  • Added a new random event written by BestyTheHucow(and non-FxF interactions were written by me). Will only fire in incestuous imperial empires (either through the origin or having any of the civics). Will be able to have a chance to fire after your empire gains factions (after 10 years from the game start in vanilla).
    • I had a tough time getting random events to work but after finally getting it working, I'm quite excited to make more in the future.
    • The event has a cooldown of 730 days (2 years) and can be triggered manually with the events catalog debug menu, I'll likely move this to the options menu in the future since it kind of hurts my immersion or just add in an option to enable the debug menu in preferences.
  • Changed Incestuous Dynasty to Pureblood Dynasty (Idea from BestyTheHucow).
  • Added the option to switch portraits to show the current heir instead of custom images. (Idea from Screws)
    • This will be the new default option, I still want to add more interesting custom pictures but this is good from a consistency standpoint (also saves time). Not everything uses portraits yet but new content will be made with portraits first and I'll add fitting custom pictures when I have time.
    • I still believe lewd images are better than portraits but being able to work with portraits first speeds up the event writing process as I only have to make one event at a time versus two when using custom images based on their gender.
  • A few other things I probably forgot to mention here, probably nothing important though other than minor value tweaks or localization changes.

Version 1.0.9

  • Wrote give cunnilingus/blowjob scene for both variations of female/male ruler. Can eventually chain into other sex options depending on ruler/heir combination.
  • Added a temporary boost option for incest synergy planet event which will lead to an exhibitionism broadcast scene in the future/lead to existing scenes but with the context of being broadcasted.
  • Added a scene written BestyTheHucow. Accessible by all ruler/heir combinations, but is written only for FxF.
  • Reworked a few other things like planet synergy and the incest haven civic trait but I'm not settled on them yet so still subject to change.

Version 1.0.8/82

  • Fixed missing scopes in the options localisation causing heir relations to not show in the options menu.
  • Fixed bug on changing female heir titles.
  • Delay on heir lewds but you get the stuff below~ Also really wanted to post this since today marks 1 year since I released this mod!
  • Finally figured out how to make ruler to heir relations/titles, you can change these in edicts. No in-game mechanical benefit as of yet but heir hangouts/lewds will now have a more personal touch based on your prefrences.
    • Female ruler titles include - Mother, Mommy, Sister, Onee-chan, Cousin, Aunt.
    • Male ruler titles include - Father, Daddy, Brother, Onii-chan, Cousin, Uncle.
    • Male heir relation include - son, cousin, brother, nephew.
    • Female heir relation include - daughter, cousin, sister, niece.
  • Redid heir main menu intro and added a different variation for male heirs and a picture. In the future, everytime you open the heir interaction screen there will be multiple possible events- Some that can lead directly into lewd scenes(sister stuck in a nano-dryer).
  • Updated intro scene to the first lewd event complete with 4 variations depending on ruler/titles gender and heir gender/relation.
  • Rebuilt half of existing event files to accept the new heir systems. (Was supposed to do all but ran into 10 million syntax errors along the way, will finish this next update. Should be fine now but there'll be inconsistencies.)
  • Fixed oversight on minerals agenda.

Version 1.0.7/75

  • Finished intro scene to the first lewd event complete with 4 variations depending on ruler gender and heir gender.
  • Placeholder options are visible to certain gender combinations, options will branch off to different planned scenes.
  • Changed Unity Production from incest traits to empire sprawl reduction. Subject to change.
  • Updated all incestuous trait icons- Now you can see as it progressively gets worse better.
  • Fixed an oversight with Incestuous Emergence being selectable once incest tech is researched.
  • Slowly started doing a localization rework that should make it easier for people to translate my mod if they wish.

Version 1.0.6

  • Added a new trait called Incestuous Emergence to the Family Bound Origin instead of Incestuous Devotion. (A stronger variant of both incestuous traits)
  • Incestuous acceptance now works with the Family Bound Origin and any of the incest traits, no longer do you need incest haven if you run the origin. 
  • Added Mineral Focus Agenda to Heir interactions.
  • Reworked the Holy Family Ascension Edict since 3.3 kind of screws with it.
  • Minor localization improvements all around.
  • Added Russian and simple Chinese localizations (Not up to date with newer version of the mod). Credits to Vivikon(Russian) and Klkadf(Chinese).

  • Added Family Bound origin. (Incestuous Devotion is an expensive trait but the tech gives 6 gene points on game start so keep this in mind for headroom in the removal of negative traits or just use LV's cheat trait)
  • Expanded the heir interaction system with new agendas to give your heir. (5 year cooldown to switch agendas)

Version 1.0.4

  • Added government type Holy Family with appropriate ruler and heir titles.
  • Added Holy Son Holy and Daughter traits and ascension edicts for immortal heirs.
  • Added auto ascension of Holy Sons/Daughters to Fathers/Mothers when taking the throne.
  • Added auto removal of incestuous acceptance if requirements are not met.
  • Incestuous Dynasty civic now has an icon.
  • Incestuous Acceptance planet modifier now has an icon.
  • Updated some localization in a few places.
  • Created a very barebones intro to the heir communication system because I wanted to show it off. Currently does nothing but will do something by the next update. ( I really wanted to get the proof of concept out- If any of you have ideas of what you'd like from the system, feel free to throw them my way. )

  • Added a colony event that triggers when one of your owned species has the incestuous interest or incestuous devotion trait and if you have the incest haven civic. Adds the incestuous acceptance planet modifier (This took a really long time to figure out how to do... In any case, I couldn't get the icon to show properly so it'll be fixed in a later update.)
  • Added an icon to the Incest Haven civic.
  • Some stat adjustments for civics.

I like how this is developing, if I may make a suggestion about your future content:

 

For your upcoming civic might I suggest looking at a variation of the "inward perfection" vanilla civic. It is a very thematic, and underutilized roleplaying option from the base game that I think may work well with the theme you are going for. Possibilities include a new version balanced similarly to that civic but with a more sexual bent, or a second tier civic requiring inward perfection that adds new gameplay options to that civic.

I think this is an excellent suggestion for another civic! I still plan to add another civic that's not inward perfection oriented since not everyone wants to play that way.

In any case, I can definitely see how inward perfection could really go well with an incest oriented civic addition expansion and it's something I'll definitely look into. I don't know what kind of gameplay options I'll add since I'm new to modding but I can definitely see myself adding breeder jobs per pop count or planet along with the civic and things like that.

I am glad you enjoyed the suggestion. If I am interpreting your current train of thought correctly my thought would be to focus your efforts on making the leader/heir dynamic as central as possible. Government types tend to be rather shallow choices in the game so really digging in there would be interesting.

 

Some random thoughts:

- What if planetary modifiers and ruler modifiers were focused exclusively on your homeworld? Your leader and family would presumably be there after all. Instead of generic breeder jobs how about Ruler level sex jobs for the court/family? Special planetary modifiers for the seat of power for example, maybe triggered off of a planetary decision?

 

- Do you see this as a "Devine marriage" type mechanic from CK3 or is it widespread in your empire? Do commoners follow this custom for instance? If it is the latter, then you could maybe add jobs to the "luxury residences" building and city district to represent this. This would also push you towards a decision if this is a "tall" empire or a "wide" one.

 

- If you are looking to make civics similar to inward perfection, I would recommend at least one civic that is compatible with it and allows you to use any systems/mechanics you choose to implement.

 

- Are we wanting to have mechanics for negative inbreeding, or are you assuming those have mostly been solved at this stage of your empire? Was this your intention of 2 species traits? One has negatives (not solved) and the more powerful and costly option with no negatives (solved)?

I think I also want to make a similar decision to the breeding planet/frenzy decisions that's more incest oriented.

The two civics I've made already, have the focus on your empire's rulers and their incestuous rule but doesn't necessarily push incest towards the empire's people itself.

You answered the "compatibility" question; what I meant was that your civic could be taken alongside the inward perfection civic which is rather restrictive in its empire layout (you MUST be some level of xenophobe AND pacifist). So long as your civics are keyed off of government type or a second level requiring inward perfection in order to select then they should play well together.

I'm having a bit of an issue when it comes to installing this mod, I've downloaded the file and placed it in my mod folder.

 

When I check the launcher to see if the mod is installed it's not there, I have tried to re-load the installed mods but it still doesn't appear. Even though I have the Lustful Void mod which it is dependant on.

What launcher are you using and what does the descriptor file say?

The descriptor file should look like this and if you're using the default paradox launcher- Both LV and Family oriented mods should be in the "Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod" directory.

I couldn't seem to find any file that opened up on notepad to show sequence of load or mod dependencies. I'm verifying game files now to see if that resolves the issue, I might just have too many other mods in conflict for it to work in the first place although they are mostly just shipsets, more trait/civic points, origins, and megastructures. Lustful Void, Wild Lascivity, Gigastructures, Sexopolis, etc... I will try to narrow this issue to traits and origins if this still doesn't work and replace the other mods later.

it's the .mod file that comes with the lustful void folder in the zip. Just open it with notepad. This mod doesn't change any vanilla files as far as I remember but yeah you might have to check if it's a conflict elsewhere.

I also play with gigastructures and sexpolis so it's not those two.

I've thought about making an incest oriented origin before but couldn't think of any worthwhile flavor to add with it but this seems like a good basis to work with. As far as gameplay effects go, It'll probably get the incestuous devotion trait or something similar at the start. An excavation site might be nice to add if I figure out how to do that as well.

So I found the issue so this might help others.

My Documents, where all this is, was constantly being backed up and replaced by my Onedrive cloud storage so even after a clean install, it just copied the old files instead of writing new. I re-uninstalled and then made sure to delete the old files from my online storage so a clean install can happen. After unzipping and extracting all the .rar files, there are no more conflicts; this also got me to reinstall the gam onto my NVME SSD.

This did kill all my save data and custom empires but I can always remake them with the new civics/traits anyway. Now if only the "force spawn custom empires" worked correctly instead of 2-3 out of like 6, if you are lucky even if there are twenty custom empires too choose from.

I found out a while ago that this is caused by the chosen solar system for your custom empires being not set to 'random'. Basically, if you set an empire to 'random unary system', and is selected, it will prevent any and all other empires that use 'unary system' from spawning. Basically, you have to either set all of your custom empires to completely random, or use all of the other systems once and only once. This also applies to any origins that come with a unique system, like ringworlds.

For some reason I thought of having a unique building that kinda goes with the whole thing about them using less housing (I assume it's literally because the family isn't really leaving because most of them are each other's partner now), being some kind of public space that's literally dedicated to inbreeding. You could even go further with that by having different tiers like how some of vanilla jobs work, like the administrators, the specialists and all the grunts. The highest tier could be interchangeable depending on how you're rolling with your race. One could simply be someone who runs the joint, may or may not be related, there the specialists could be considered "mothers," as in each mother is a mother of however many families go into the building, and the grunt workers in this sense are considered siblings, as in any brother/sister pair and or same sex siblings who want to bang each other.

 

Yes I'm too knowledgeable of potential incest. Yes I had a ruler who fucked his sister and his mom. Yes I then paired my son/nephew heir with his sister/aunt that came from my ruler's mother which fused all the generations together in their next child. Yes my family line looks like uroboros.

"I have a dream to turn this family tree of mine, into a family circle." - I saw this quote somewhere a while back.

One of the ideas I have at the moment is a so called "breeding family" and I'm leaning towards making it a civic but I'm not sure yet might make it a building with your suggestion. The idea is that it creates a breeder job(s) for the planet.

Flavor wise most of the species within the empire's bloodlines can be traced back to these breeding houses/families- Everyone in these families do their parts to breed the future generations of the empire and particularly virile and fertile offspring are usually raised to become the next set of breeders.

-Random tangent: I wish stellaris let you choose your heirs and interact with family members and had more internal strife in a political form. Basically make it more like crusader kings with a stronger focus on internal affairs. Hopefully the nemesis update and the espionage system can bring more political interest and internal strife within empires.

Stellaris definitely leans closer to EU4 then CK3 for its inspiration and mechanics; I don't necessarily see this as bad though. The thing that interests me about your mod is that is is making the government forms an actual mechanic rather than taken at the start of the game and promptly forgotten.

Very interesting mod, but there is some issue with localisation in any language other then english. All text strings ingame looks like "trait_ruler_FO_lv_holy_bloodline".

 

I tryed to create files for my language in "localisation" folder (copy "english" folder and rename it to "russian". then rename .yml files) but it didn't work.

 

Any ideas? I had this issue with other mod, but i can't recall the solution.

You also have to change the top line of every .yml file from l_english: to l_russian:

If you want another term to describe incest, you can use either farming terminology when it comes to siring domesticated animals or scientific terms, like consanguinity. Endogamic Castes could be a useful name for an authoritarian government that seems incest as beneficial to separating economic class.
