YII-TECHNIQUES-LABORS *Children of the Sky* -R2- UPD-09.02.

Recommended Posts

Thanks to both of you for your help. I'd managed to sort it out myself by disabling Race Menu but I've downloaded the patch and all is good (although I've not tried re-adding the Race Menu mod yet).

I have to also confess that I'm a little hesitant to install the RCotS mod as I've read it has a few issues in its current form. Is it worth me installing that one, or is it fine to go with just the original? Sorry but I'm a little unsure as to just what improvements are brought to the game by the RCotS mod, even after reading the thread.

My opinion? Use R2. I use xvc for vanilla kid outfits, but you don't have to. If you do, it goes after CotS. I never try to use Racemenu with it. I should have guessed you were using Racemenu. :P Common mistake.

Glad to see this thread is still going, and people are still helping others out with it. Hopefully I will be back to playing Skyrim in the near future, life has just been kinda crazy recently. So much to catch up with in modding, seems kinda overwhelming 0_0

Great examples of characters on the last few pages!

Jiitek, thanks again, and hope you have a happy holiday :)

Plus many choices with body-face textures you can make real detailed sky child.

Still my best mod with followers from RCoTS which are my main now im happy camper.

Guys i installed children of the sky r2 but all the female children have strange faces that dont fit the body actually they look like male adult faces so it's very strange can someone help me with this problem?

People can't help if no info like loadorder and what you have done before installing the mod?

Are you guys new?...2 post seems your new right?

Have you search and explore how to install mods or the read me?

Do you use BOSS/TES5EDIT?

Mod works perfectly if you know how its even when its not supported for more then year alive and kicking.

But you need first know what to do and what to install to make it perfect.

All info for that on this site i suggest search the topic for knowledge :)

Sorry im not helping that much im to lazy now, maybe some else is willing.

Good luck.

Always list the way you install when asking questions about installation. NMM? MO? Manual? Wryebash?

I usually install Manually. NMM for simple nexus mods.

At this moment i have fresh Skyrim install on a newly formated pc. so installing only this mod and requirements should be fairly okey i guess

The xvision and compatible patch from CoTS R2 are out of date that give conflics.

Few pages before some link for a update made by en-hawk i suggest install those.

Also you can use RCoTS reworked and use the npc friendly and compatibillity so you have better children around towns and up to date compatibillity.

If you dont insstall it all correctly you will have more and more conflicts with CoTS R2 ist not updated for more then a year.

CoTS R2 workes but research first how to install all and what works and what not.

on page 75 you see this mod still workes fine.

I'm not having skeleton nor adult size problems the only problem i have is the face of the female sky children i'm gonna post a print here,i had this mod installed but i had some CTD problems and removed him and his files but now i reinstaled it and the problem started

Link to comment

Can't seem to figure out why i get adult size in creation screen & in-game. Everything's been installed manually.

Might also be that I've been up 72 hours or so xD

Everything's been installed manually? Prepare for issues when you go to use a normal race.

This mod basically forces you to install using MO or maybe Wryebash.

When you say you installed "everything" manually, you didn't actually install every file the mod came with did you? You're supposed to pick and choose specific options, and leave others out.

Also, swithch to SC race when you first get to CC at the beginning, switch to female, switch to a different race real quick, and then back, and everything should look much better. Weird, but it works.

I installed from the Main, and Additional Female Player Voice, Hearthfire Addon, Prepatched Slider Colours Version, RaceCompatibility Fixes - Dawnguard.

Think that was all. And what you mean SC race? only race in CC screen are the original ones.
And MO is Mod Organizer?. So i should use that and not manually?
Link to comment

Not manually. Not with this mod.

SC = Sky Children.

MO is Mod Organizer. Manually installing has big problems with uninstallation. Trust me, it drove me nuts at 1st, when I didn't know why things were going wrong.

You didn't mention installing the body you want (blessed or un-blessed), or the clothes they'll wear. You need all that stuff, just not both kinds of clothes or both kinds of bodies (boobs).

I Think i forgot to install Default Female Texture Set or 2cnd Female Texture Set. Only cloth option are for NPC's? "Female Children NPC Original Cloth".

Or am i missing files?

I've removed everything and will try again with MO.

EDIT:

With MO i just open the 7z into the program like i would do with NMM?

Or is there another trick to it?

Link to comment

i always install all mods by hands, all this MO, NNM Manager and other crap isnt required if you understand what are you doing. Some fixes you have to do manually anyway.

anyway making backup before installing anything (include saves, plugin order files) can save alot of time

Use your Main folder. I zipped each option, and installed each option to MO that way. Main I called CotS, and just named the others what the options are called, like CotS Music etc etc.

Or, you can add each file that you want to use right to your main folder, merge, and rename the 'Data' folder inside to CotS, zip that, and install.

Either's good.

Edit: yes you want one those clothing textures you asked about. I use the default

Link to comment

I tried zipping each option to MO and/or putting what i needed into the Main, then zipping that.. But either of them worked.

Since it's my first time using  MO i skimmed the tutorial and saw where mods was being install.

He dragged the ModOrganizer into the skyrim folder and now mods are begin install: \Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\ModOrganizer\mods and not in \Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data.

You know if that is right or wrong way of doing it?
