What is this?

============

 

It's more a case of "what is Break Armor?".

 

What is Break Armor?

 

Break Armor breaks the armors. Not as a metaphysical concept like armor health or so, it literally changes their actual appearances as they break down.

 

And this is vanilla resource pack for that system. You hit some (female) bandit, then her armor will break. The same goes to yours.

-Do not use this. You can still use BUF 2.00 by editing your ini entry yourself, though.

- BA works even on enchanted items (CS or ingame, whatever), streamlined, and.. good anyway.

(In fact, the motivation for creating BA was to make this mod fully functional.)

After BA gets stable, I won't support BUF ini&plugin anymore. BA got pretty much stable.

BA 1.08 or below requires .ini file / BA 1.09b or above still can process .ini entries, but does not require it.

NOTE:

- They are not exactly 'breakable' but revealing anyway.

If you want them as male outfit replacers visit vashar's thread.

- Make sure that Break Clothing feature in Break_Armor.ini is turned on.

- Requires Robert Male Body textures installed.

Installation

============

Download the file and activate it via OBMM. This mod will get too complicated to install manually in the future.

IF YOU USE BREAK ARMOR (RECOMMENDED)

You don't need to modify your BreakUndies.ini. That being mean, delete that RunBatchScript "Data\ini\BreakUndies_Stock.ini" from your BreakUndies.ini, if you have already modified it.

You MUST disable BreakUndies.esm (or use BU_Disabler.esp), just enable BreakArmor.esp.

 

With Break Armor 1.09b or higher, you don't even need BreakUndies_Stock.ini. You can delete it. But no harm in keeping it because BA still processes the ini if exists.

nice work till now, i test the esp later.

I see we already got a fur version, so i would work at other armors first, maybe i will finish it later.

 

just one question, because i see there are always 4 diffrent bu-staged .nifs don't we just need 3 and the original armor?

There is no 'set' number for BU armors. You can have 2 or 10 if you like. Most have around 3 to 4 total stages, but that is just a matter of how much work the armor maker wants to put into it.

 

 

 

Edit: There is a blades armor and a daedric one in pack 1 that I assembled. Feel free to yank them out and stick them into this mod. You are welcome to pull anything else out from the two packs I made.

Eh..Rad87 did make 4 different stages. If one of you make 10 bu stages for certain armor, I have to write 10 stages in .ini and should make other same armors to match them. Because, it's impossible to make an armor to have 3 bu stages and 10 stages at the same time. I'd increase the number of your armor's stages rather than abondon Rad87's work.

I just merged the items in nifskope as all my armors are complete body covering types (upperbody\lowerbody\foot\hands). Both armors were made by the same guy: GnargleHankar

You may want to use the source mods so you don't have to cut the armors apart, since I have them all in one mesh and you are doing individual parts.

I'm doing 4 stages because I feel thats just about right amount of breakage. And once I have a unbroken mesh that I'm satisfied with braking the armor is easy (gotta love the knife cut tool). The most time I waste on those armors is to make the unbroken one sexy and fitting the hgec e-cup, because it's what I'm using. I might upload the blades armor in about 2 hours

 

*edit* but you don't have to make 4 stages. just make separate ini for each armor, put it for example in ini\StockBU\ and then make there SockBU.ini which has

RunBatchScript "Data\ini\StockBU\armor_name.ini"

for each armor and from within BreakUndies.ini call

RunBatchScript "Data\ini\StockBU\StockBU.ini"

 

with that you can have varying ammount of break stages between armors. In the installer you just have to instal ini for the chosen version of the armor

It's fine, 3 or 4 both are reasonable enough. Let's not go further though. Every armor will have 4 steps bu then. If some armor has 3 stages, I'll delete one of its pieces to make one more stage.

Well thats the only way I can think of how variable ammount of break stages could work with a installer, unless you had a way to generate the ini on the fly while installer works. And since it would be contained in a separate folder inside the ini folder it wouldn't make sucha a mess like lovers motions does and would be easy to remove - just delete the folder.

You mean BBBoobs or BBButts?

Some of them have BBButts.

As for the BBBoobs' date=' well.. it's common thing these days you know. ;)

On my second though, there is a problem.

Some of armors (script attached - like arena armor) are scripted BU. not via ini change. We can never make them have varying numbers of BU stages.

BTW, you can flatten and cut out unnecessary parts of the skeleton by Block -> Flatten Branch & Spells -> Optimize -> Remove Bogus Nodes command in NifSkope.

So does this actually separate male/female then? Will these act as vanilla replacers' date=' or are they BU armours that have vanilla names but with new formID's so NPC's won't be wearing them?

these are vanilla replacers, npc's will be wearing them although BU Framework only works for female meshes and leaves the male meshes alone so technically only female npc's will be affected

I have sent greg a pm regarding this, but momovo, maybe you will like, or disagree with what I've implemented so far.

 

Well ill shoot it out.

I have completed a player only vanilla replacer mod. Meaning the skimpy/custom mesh only appears when the player equips it. Making bu easier for female player character.

 

Down side is to make the npc wear it you will have to give them the fitted variant.

 

I would like to join and contribute to this, since I have done some of the scripts, what's hindering me is the knowledge to make a tattered/cut out mesh variants. I have tried deleting vertices with blender but results like a 2 year old kid cut out scribly note pieces on your clothes lol.

wow, blender noob like me making a guide which makes people excited so much :D

 

as I said earlier, before we had this thread, once I have the unbroken mesh that I'm sattisfied with the rest is easy. The most time I waste on this is getting the armor to fit the body I'm using and making it more reaviling and sexy. Compared to that cutting holes in thearmor is a piece of cake ;)
