yea blank means that its using the defaults, u only populate the blank fields if u are using customs events or images.

ok... thanks (I am crashing when I enter battle, regardless of whether I had the 1.5.7.1026LL installed or 1.5.7.1026 (with animations removed) installed, so I am sort of not sure what I should be doing).

I personally found that Bannerlord 1.5.7 (at least)  is particularly unstable in general; the only way I could get it to work without crashing constantly was:
1. remove *literally all mods* except CE and TBCE (or, optionally, just CE if you don't like the events in TBCE, but that's what I was testing with)

2. verify files for bannerlord (if installing via steam)

3. start a new game

 

Even just installing harmony and/or the better exceptions mod caused it to crash randomly upon starting or loading a game.

The newly updated files don't come with the animation events? It's smaller in size to the one previously and doesn't contain the animation submodule in launchers.

I realise that but I am trying to use the optional events and images, that's the problem,
Could it perhaps have something to do with the fact that my whole M&B folder and all subfolders in Documents is set to Read-only? I don't know if that's normal since all my folders in documents are set to that and other games work fine with it, but it is weird that when I try to turn read-only off and apply the change it just goes back to read-only next time I check it's properties again

its a windows 10 security function that set these folders to read only, this can be turn off google it for how to do that.

I doubt it would help anyway, the .json file and others aren't read-only anyway, it's just the folders they're in, plus other mod settings work fine and show up in MCM, it's only these optional ones that remain blank, still have no clue why, again, maybe you could share your CaptivityEventsCustomEvents.json file with me? It seemed to work last time at least

i deleted the old version since its been fixed for the new version, there is really nothing to share, as mentioned if u are using the latest version it should be fine, just remember to delete the old settings in the documentation folder to reset everything to its default satus.

I am using the latest version, it's not fine for me, I deleted the old settings over and over again it defaults to blank variables

I'm having issues starting a new campaign of BannerLord 1.5.7.  I have CaptivityEvents installed, as well as the optional event modules for it.  As the game loads, I see the following:

Looking through the event xml files, I see these events multiple times, so I can't tell which mod is responsible for these errors.  Could you point me in the right direction?

the blank variables is not a problem, this is working as intended, just ignore what I did last time as I tried to fix the bug, this was fixed and it should always default to blank variables.

 

is the mod not working for you with blank variables? I am using the latest version for beta 1.5.8 and with blank variables everything is working fine.

Oh alright, gotcha, it's working fine, I was just worried I was missing out on all the extra events

First off, I can verify that "read only" is set both on the game directories I have checked, and on the Documents directories for the game that I have checked.

 

Also, I can turn off read only and have that applied recursively, but if I select something else and come back to that folder it will have a "square box" read only indication again.

 

Also, I can check advanced settings and my user account is reported to have full control over the folders that I inspected.

yea just make sure that the game u are running has admin control or it might not have the rights to able to modify the read-only files...., microsoft after all these years still cant develop a better security for windows unlike unix....

As a brief suggestion, it would be nice to have a more benign option if you come across a female "hero". Right now the only choices are "Keep her as a prisoner", "Invite her to your clan", or "Execute her". A "Let her go free" option would be a nice, neutral alternative to fuckin' chopping her head off if your clan is full or you don't need/want another prisoner. :3

i am pretty confused, are u having problems with this mod? or just bannerlord ?

is there a limit on the number of companions the game allows to be spawned? idk but will there be a problem if there are unlimited companions that either spawned or was sold and is being release to the world not sure if this will cause problems later on when there are too many companions...

idk but i am on 1.5.8 beta and i did start my own kingdom, when u mean randomly leaving your kingdom do u mean getting captured, i didnt have any problems but i was never captured or lost a battle yet..

its weird because if the kingdom is started by you, u should not be able to leave the kingdom, in my game i cant leave my kingdom, but obviously if u joined a kingdom u are allowed to leave, if that is the case could be something triggered the leave kingdom option for u.
