First Exposure to Porn/Sex?

This came up in the "dumbest thing you believed as a kid thread" so I figured it might warrant its own little thread for discussion.

Basically as the title says, what was your first exposure to porn, or sexuality in general? The first time you saw someone attractive naked maybe.

I guess some people refer to it as a "sexual awakening"?

 

My first exposure to porn was either watching SpikeTV late at night when they still had Girls Gone Wild commercials and softcore porn, or receiving my first computer as a hand-me-down and all the porn my cousin had left in there, which my older sister promptly beat his ass for leaving in there without cleanup. Dunno which came first but that sparked my curiosity and that curiosity lead to me going on the internet for the very first time to find "big boobies" and the search results lead to me discovering hentai as well. The internet was a lot more wild back then, a lot less regulated search results meant I got an unfiltered view of so much porn I didn't even know what to make of it, I think whichever one came first was also my sexual awakening.

Depends what you mean by porn. If nudie magazines with no actual/simulated sex count then sometime in the early 90s. One of my friends living in the country had a stockpile of Playboy and Penthouse mags he decided to give me a preview of. If you mean sexual acts it would be sometime in the late 90s from poor quality bootleg porn VHS tapes my friend down the street had. Oddly enough it was his girlfriend's idea to put the videos on. Also amusing that it was a porno from the 70s. You took want you could get back then.

 

So fairly generic "Gen X male's first exposure to porn" story. Internet wasn't a thing most people had access to back then. So magazines and video cassettes ruled the porno landscape.

Yeah I meant porn in a general sense to like sexual stuff but also nudity. I'll edit it to be more clear!

I was kinda the same with my family though, aside from my sister who had to explain sex to me because my parents wouldn't after I discovered all that porn no one else would even mention sex. My first real exposure to sex was during sex ed class in middle school though they were very careful not to describe how sex was done (if that makes sense). Eventually around 8th grade I started feeling.. "weird", I noticed the thought of bare breasts increased my heart rate and just made me feel kind of.. light headed and... What can I say? I was raised in a rather conservative christian household. The thing with masturbation is there are other animals that masturbate so that actually could be in our instinctual make up as well. Like I know monkeys will masturbate and also dolphins.
