Outfit Customization (OC) by ColonolNutty

View File

This mod requires Sims 4 Community Library

Features:

  • Customize clothing pieces/accessories your sim is wearing without going into CAS (All Ages)
    • Put on or Take off clothing items on the fly
      • Example: Put On/Take Off Glasses without hassle! (This mod does not come with glasses, get your own!)
  • Extensible: You can add your own clothing items to work with this mod without needing to modify the CAS item itself. (Modders may find links to tutorial further down in the description)
  • If Mod Settings Menu is installed, Outfit Customization will be done within the MSM menu.

Planned Features:

  • Add the ability to add a part to ALL outfits of a sim.
  • Add the ability to remove a part from ALL outfits of a sim.
  • Add Outfit Sets to enable add and remove entire sets of clothing
    • Custom Set names
    • Add/Remove cas parts from each set
    • Specify the slot to equip a cas part in
  • Add the ability to automatically equip a CAS Part in the next available Outfit Slot instead of having to manually find the next available outfit slot.

Mods that add to this:

  • Do let me know in the support thread or the discord if you add stuff to this mod and I can link it here!
  • Just remember that OC is by itself a Non-Adult mod and breaks no rules, however linked content may or may not break LL rules depending on what said linked content adds to OC, OC is not responsible for nor does it support the content that mod authors add to it. If linked content does break LL rules, please bring it to my attention and I will unlink it from the description

Mod Settings (Mod Usage):

  • Customize Outfit
    • Click a Sim
    • Locate the Customize Outfit (OC) interaction (It shows up as a top level interaction, it has OC in the name, so you know its from this mod)
      • If Mod Settings Menu is installed, the Customize Outfit option will instead show up in the MSM menu and the above interaction will not be visible.
    • Choose what you want to put on/take off
      • The items you have on already show up as green.

Installation:

- Download and install The Sims 4 Community Library (link in the Requirements section)
- Download this mod (When downloading, it's the one without a name)
- Unpack the this mods archive and drop the files from it into your Mods folder (...\The Sims 4\Mods\)
- Enjoy

DISCLAIMERS:

ColonolNutty and the Outfit Customization mod itself are neither responsible, liable, nor accountable for what people use this mod for, what people add to it, or how people extend from it. The accountability is entirely on the third party. If a third party does something to/with/for this mod that goes against LL rules, the third party takes full responsibility NOT this mod nor its author.

If you spot something that goes against LL rules or their terms of service in my mod, please let me know and I will promptly fix it. I would NEVER intentionally break LL rules, keep this in mind.

If you or another mod author spots something that you consider to be "plagiarism" please ask me about it, it is highly likely that it is merely a coincidence. I will be more than happy to discuss it with you and we can together come to a compromise, whether that be deleting the offending file or changing it in some way.

DO NOT just report this mod for plagiarism, it is both rude and immature. Use your words, Lovers Lab is NOT a place for immature children to be running around, there is an age required to create accounts after all. False accusations will be reported.

If you decide to report any part of the code as plagiarized, expect to be asked for proof and a list of files/code spots where you believe code has been plagiarized. If no proof is provided, or if the response "all of it" is provided. Your claim will be invalid and subject to report abuse.

A note to moderators: If you are planning on taking this mod down, please warn me, or send me a message, or do ANYTHING to get my attention before hand. I'm sick of my mods being taken down without so much as a word, it is extremely disrespectful! I would love to have a chance to rectify my mistakes before deletion.

If it is deleted in the future without a warning or any indication of why, I will promptly re-upload it within 24 hours of the incident, under the assumption that it was mistakenly deleted, I will not seek out the true reason for its deletion because I should not need to, I hope you can understand. Thank you in advance!

Interesting.  I wonder if this would be good for adding tails...?  Maybe ears, since a lot of things like elf ears are currently done as earrings, so if you want both...

Super lovely I really hate random generated ugly sims wearing clothes like if were clowns ,🤡 a lot of different shapes combos colours etc. Specially anything that belongs to accessories category.

Thanks, hope it works. Now my sims go in the same clothes until old age due to the long load CAS)). I hope now they will be fashionable :).

Well, I hate to be that guy, but it doesn't seem to be working on my end so far.  I have the main module and the sample "crotch bulge" installed, and they show up in my options menu (the main mod under "script mods").  But I am not seeing outfit options at all.

You don't see the Customize Outfits interaction when you click on your sim?

That is exactly what it'd be good for.

Spread the word and get your favorite authors to enable their mods to work with this. Meanwhile, I'll see about creating a package file that'll add vanilla CAS items to it.

It doesn't work for me either. I only see "crotch bulge".

Yeah, there IS only the crotch bulge right now. This mod is meant as an extension for people to add to. I'm currently working on another package file that'll add a bunch of the vanilla outfit items.

No, I'm afraid not.

Maybe I'll mess with it some other time.

Are both your sim and the sim you are clicking on a Teen, Young Adult, Adult, or Elder?

Yes.  Tried it in two different households.

But I figured it out from this error report:  I don't have the Community Lib installed.  Missed that as a requirement... doh.

- OC is now available for Child and Toddler Sims.
  - The bulge however, will NOT and will NEVER be available to them, do not ask me to add it to them, you will be reported!

question would this at all be able to influence situational work outfits like the bartender uniform? without constantly resetting it to the default version.

If vanilla Sims 4 force resets the outfits, then no. If it does not force reset the outfits, then yes. It should work for all outfits.

Would there be a way to implement something with this mod like say, my witch uses her cauldron nude (skyclad). Like I could set an outfit to use with anything I click like a cauldron?

What do you mean by "set an outfit to use with anything"? Do you mean like have your Sim change into a certain outfit depending on the object they are using?

Vanilla CAS Parts have all been added, check it out: https://www.nexusmods.com/thesims4/mods/294/

Fantastic! Works like a dream so far. Thank you for all your hard work, this really is quite a bit of nifty coding!

I just have one concern that the bulge isn't appearing on my Sim? I have the community library and the vanilla items display just fine, but it seems that no matter what equip slot I try to apply the bulge, there's no visible indicator that it's working in game. Is there only certain slots or clothing items it will be applied to/appear on?

It could depend on the pants you are wearing. The bulge has issues appearing on really baggy or large pants. Try something skin tight to see if it appears.
