Hi, after following the installation guide, I get T pose on my character and none of the animations are working for me or NPCs after installing almost all the mods from scratch and using Fins and then Nexus mod. None of the npcs move either.

Does anyone know how to fix my issue?

Run FNIS, skip nemesis. T-pose means animations are not loaded for whatever reason.

over 400? Are you sure that's not the number of plugins you have?

If you hover over the number box on the far right labelled "Active," MO2 will break down how many esl, esm, and esp that you have.

I skipped a lot of the things Aylis marked "optional" but I do have a pretty sizeable armor mod that isn't on the list, and I did go in for all of the Creature and Futanari options in the Lover's Lab section.

Functionally, the limit is 249 ESPs, and you can read about that in i think the top post of the guide.

You can go up to 254 without an issue (that's my usual benchmark).

EDIT: Specifically, you can have a total of 254 esms and esps active at a given time. It sometimes works with 255 depending on the list, but at 256+ it's all FUBAR from there.

Does anyone know if you have to re-run the Terrain LOD, DynDOLOD Texutre, DynDOLOD and AO Output when adding new creatures, armor or sword?

The LOD doesn't have much in common with 'new creatures, armor or sword'.

In other words: No.

Now to something unrelated...

Still worse than Skyrim, but i'm getting there.

Thank you so much for your guide Aylis. One more question, is what situation should we re-run the LODs? Do we ever need to re-run it after running it once?

Only if you change textures for the landscape/trees/buildings or change the landscape/trees/buildings.

Should an update require it i usually add it to the info of the update.

It just means to copy the .bat file into your DynDOLOD folder.  And yes, add as an executable just like those others.

Thank you, Aylis, I want to add my humble thank you to the list.  Your help has been indispensable.  I know how much time and effort this takes.

With respect to saving esps, another option is to merge plugins using zmerge or MergePlugIns. I merged several of the JK files along with the associated USSEP and Windows Shadows patches and saved 5 slots.  It's for the brave only, but with some care you can do it safely, and undo it whenever you need to because the original files are untouched.

And as mentioned above, Creature Framework and MNC are just funky. I'm testing the tweaks suggested above by akadeadpool in post 5848, so far so good (crossing fingers).  I will say that almost every time I've had issues with this load, it's been traceable to something I added outside the list, other than the MNC/CF/ABC issues.

With respect to follower mods, I tried Amazing Follower Tweaks and Nethers, and settled on Nethers.  Both seemed to work ok with this list, I just preferred what Nethers did.

Ok, now this is really strange, i had to rerun Texture Output and Dyndolod (and AO) because just at the end i noticed that i forgot to deactive the ESP and ESM for Xlodterrain.

But now i have this when the Tex Gen process is over:

 image.png.548a3cd2da18847c9dfb6d1bdc825a16.png

Theres no particular reason as to why, all i did was move the DynDOLOD Cache Cleaner to the Dyndolod folder since it was supposed to be there as far as i understand, then i run it using it as a simple excecutable and thats it.

Now when i run TexGen it works as normal (no errors or anything) but at the end when i paste the Output into the mod folder of MO2 and activate it this is what happends..

I will re install Dyndolod/Texgen again and see if that solves it, since as i said, it worked literally 30 minutes ago.

Nvm: solved by reinstalling Dyndolod

I'd say my method is not 100% successful but hella more consistant.

Since you also use nether, I suggest you to look at one of its feature called Game Difficulty Override in tab System. It allows you to modify how much damage you deal and how much you receive regardless of in-game difficulty.

Also use mod Difficulty Balance (it's a skse mod, esp free) so that your follower in higher difficulty won't be too overpower.

Mod: NPC AI Process Position Fix - SSE (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/40261?tab=files&file_id=160629&nmm=1)

Mod seems to have been removed form Nexus. Does anyone have an alternative or maybe the file? Because this fixes a really annoying bug and I'd rather have it. :(

Also second time I am trying this guide. Last time I had a blast of 1 Week modding and then 2 hours of playing after I got everything working ? But darn it had never looked so hard. Time to grill my GPU again.

And cheers to Aylis for this guide of course. ?

(I tried looking through the comments If this issue had been mentioned, but its 249 Pages already)

any idea what mod or config could be causing this

Have you checked 'Troubleshooting'? It's already answered in there...

The mod 'Glow Be Gone SKSE Updated' still doesn't work properly. But it could replace 'Animated Weapon Enchants (A.W.E.)' if we use the weapons part of it.

I can attest that this guide not only works, but it can also help a lot to anyone new to modding. I, myself, never modded before I found this guide, and I got my game to run smoothly and beautifully. But this guide only works if you follow carefully the instructions and read everything. When something didn't work for me it was because I made some mistake or I was sloppy at some point. Don't be mistaken - this is a guide to start from no experience at all, but it is also a monster guide with hundreds of mods... It is not an easy task and it took me like a month to put everything together (I'm a noob after all).

(After my list from this guide was completed and running good, then I started to add other mods... And then I started to screw up even more... ?)

Anyways, I learned a lot from this guide and the mistakes I made while following it, and now my Skyrim game looks and runs amazingly. Nobody said that following this guide was to be easy. But it is definitely rewarding.

every part of this guide works except the animation portion. i tried again today but i disabled every single animation mod that needed Nemesis and ran Fnis by itself, and it didn't ctd for once, so something between FNIS and Nemesis is going wrong...im using the most recent version of Fnis XXL for SE as well as NEmesis SE beta 83. should i be using a diffrent version of the SE Nem build? should i disable the fnis creature pack when i run nem? like idk at this point, i might just not use nem.

Anyone seen this issue before? Happens to only a handful of NPCs like Lydia and Jarl Balgruuf?

Edit: Ended up fixing this by replacing the High Poly NPC Overhaul - Skyrim Special Edition 2.0 with the regular one.

I would use the newer ver .84beta:

https://github.com/ShikyoKira/Project-New-Reign---Nemesis-Main/releases

When running Nemesis it crashes for me about 7 out of 8 times, then works. I saw some speculation that there has not been as much work on it for a while. And DAR has an animation limit hard coded in that people are hoping will get expanded soon, though DAR has not seen as much work lately, either.

OK, first you should re-edit your post and put the image in "spoilers". It saves space and is just a general rule here. In the LL editor use the eyeball looking thing.

Your problem has many names, but is pretty common: dark face bug, blackface bug, brown face bug. You can go back over the last several pages here. It has been discussed quite a bit. There can be a few causes. Load order issues and conflicting mods sometimes. Face Discoloration Fix https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/42441 is sort of a shortcut mod that hides the problem without fixing it, but it should be fixed. Someone else better at this than I may be able to give better insight.

Edit: Look on the first page in the guide under Troubleshooting: Black Face. Though I see you edited your post and found an answer.

used to have it all the time, it has something to do with facegen i believe, games trying to put multiple looks on one npc. mess around with your load order, something that is changing Lydia's appearance is the issue. you might have to get rid of something but just try adjusting your load order first

I just finished rescrubbing the list.   Currently I have a very strange brightness/dark problem going on.  If my PC is in motion, it's darker.  If she stands still, it's overbright.  Having the ENB on or off doesn't make a difference.  Any ideas what might cause this?

Edit:  Now it flickers  between light and dark without movement.
