I hope that the developer of the mod will not beat me too much if he finds out that I have taken a couple of texts and sound recordings from the assembly of three characters. I need a description for each character to tell him about love and what he represents for himself. (I shifted Google translator from Russian to English)

Did you make sure to enable creature animations in SL? Do you have both HCoS and Billyy's SLAL pack? Do other animations/mods involving creatures work?

I have both those packs yes and I did enable the animations.
I did forget that before I made previous comment tho (I'm kind of new to the added in animations tbh). It's now going further into the animation. 
Locking me down, sounds are playing but the animation itself doesn't seem to be happening. 

I honestly haven't tried anything else, I just went straight to the throat of the world ... as the saying goes: would you fuck a dragon? I'd fuck a dragon XD
It clearly wants to start the animation and they're CLEARLY ready for it as well, it just for some reason, doesn't :(

It sounds like you might not have checked the "Allow Creature" option in SexLab's MCM. Have you?

That was actually what I meant. MxR has stated he makes his money off of YouTube vids and I doubt he's over that lawsuit threat from a couple of years ago. So he hides any real passion for adult mods he might feel behind really cringe-worthy blather and misinformation to avoid losing his YouTube account. At least, that's how I read it. He already has a Pornhub account where he could post uncensored adult mod reviews and be honest about what he knows and feels about them without offending YouTube's misogynistic, moralist advertisers. Unless said ad comps decide to make it an issue, which is entering "invasion of privacy" territory, or he has an exclusive contract with YouTube. Which, again, seems unlikely because he also has a Patreon where he posts uncensored adult mod review vids.

 

But this has nothing to do with SLD. If folks want to continue discussing that, it should be moved to its own thread.

I did. 
Honestly half of the time it crashes upon trying to start my game or once in game, trying to load a save file.
But when I'm in game, everything seems to be willing to go but doesn't.

I got it to somehow work but my character is backwards and now the dragons have lost their dicks .... THEY HAVE LOST THEIR DICKS, DUDE

5. make sure you have "Allow Creature Animation" checked in SexLab's MCM settings.

 

6. turn off "Match Creature Gender" in sexlab's MCM settings, if this setting is enabled some animations won't play.

Apparently I got that to work so yay, dicks everywhere ... but it still crashes 9/10 times I start it up :(

Make sure MNC is properly installed and working, as one of the things it does is enable SL support for Alduin's race (which is different from the standard dragon race and AFAIK is not supported by SL by default).

As someone who rarely touches any of the main quests, but would love to do a dragonrider-based gameplay, are there any ways to get this to work on other dragons? (I don't mind cheating myself the bend will shout for this purpose.)

 

Aside from maybe Fallokar, nabbing a random dragon seems the only way I will get to use this mod.

You could simply use the console to force any of the three dragons to spawn. The only one that may be problematic is Odahviing, as he actually starts the game in the Dragonsreach Porch worldspace (disabled until you start The Fallen) and then moves to the Throat once Dragonslayer is completed.

 

But Alduin and Paarthurnax should work right away, all you need to do is use the "prid XXXXX" and "enable" console commands to force them to spawn (where XXXXX is their RefID, which is 3C57D for Paarthurnax and XX001863 for Alduin; the two first digits of Alduin's RefID will depend on the position of the SL Dragons plugin on your load order).

 

It's true we've also thought about adding support for other (random) dragons, but the generic dragon voice files are extremely limited, so we're having a really hard time coming up with anything for them. Plus, we still haven't looked into how to set up the follower system to work on generic dragons anyway.

if your having a problem with the dialogue not showing up just save your game and quit to desktop, then re-launch the game and load your save. The dialog options should now be there.

 

This is a known issue with dialogues and "Start Enabled Quests" (quests that start/run as soon as the game loads). You need to save the game with the mod active, exit to desktop, and then open the game again so that Skyrim can properly register and initialize the dialogues.

 

You can use an option in TES5EDIT to generate a SEQ file, with that file the problem of dialogue missing at the start goes away.

 

(Right-click on the mod in TES5EDIT, Other > Generate SEQ File)  - Quick and easy.

Thanks for the quick reply.  Fully understand the limited voice assets available.  (I wonder if the black dragon from Dragonborn has any that may be of use?  Seems that Durnevir, Parthuunax and Alduin are the only ones with any significant speaking roles at all.

 

Anyway,  I don't mind consoling them in like that.  Thanks for the tips!

no, it does not. the SEQ files don't do jack shit half of the time, we have encountered this problem with many mods that use a SEQ file (and yes we did keep the SEQ file up to date)

we have already extracted all the voice files, there are problems with the common/black/Durnevir voice:

Durnevir won't shut up about "ideal masters".

fuck ugly black dragon won't shut up about Miraak.

common dragons won't shut up about Alduin ordering your death.

bend will mostly just gives us "Yes, thuri" and "I will land at once" (useful for follower commands but not much else).

the voice actor sounds completely different when he is yelling his lines, so it makes half the voice files unusable with the other half.

a lot of his speaking overlaps, making words hard to separate (by comparison Alduin's voice actor is like William Shatner, with, commas, between, every, word)

Hey, it's not his fault Beth decided to make him look like some weird moray eel/anglerfish hybrid abomination.

 

The female mesh for serpentine dragons does away with the underbite and goes for a more "derpy dino" look instead, though, which isn't great but at least it's better than the original. Huh. Is that dragon ever refered to as "him"? 'Cause if not, he would be a prime candidate for gender-swapping in HCoS, even if it's only to tone the ugliness down a notch. :classic_dry:

 

EDIT: dude's name is Sahrotaar, and seems like Miraak only refers to him by name, so it could work if we wanted to go for it.

A few thoughts on the dialogue issues (none of which may be worth the effort):

(* I haven't unpacked the voice files you used, so this may have been done already.)

 

Given that a lot of the available dragon dialogue is not English (strictly dragon-speak), it would need to be subtitled anyway.  Fairly simple to mix and match those effects into new phrases.  Only people who spoke dragon would know the difference, and with some editing, subbing in words from the MaleKhajiit shout lines (the most tonally similar to my ears) might actually allow for fairly "correct" language use.

 

Running Saloknir's voices through speed and tempo shifting in audacity shows he can sound like Parthuunax.  Probably the same VA.  Still not a lot of lines to work with there.

 

I hadn't realized how limited the assets were until I started poking into this.  Half the shit in there is blank files.  Blah.

and we are pretty much done with Parthuunax, at the most we may add some interaction between him and Odahviing (mostly meditating dialogue, possibly sex but don't hold your breath)

 

but for now Durneviir (& random dragons because they use the same voice actor) is the concern.

From the durneviir and random edited.7z files, I chose bi option 5, or ray 7 if under edit. why did I choose option 7 because dragons were created by Akatosha as Parturnaks said, and they don’t know the meaning of the concept of sex. But since the main character has helped durneviir, he should beat more kind to him (if he called before).

из файлов durneviir and random edited.7z я выбрал би вариант 5, или луче  7 если под редактирувать. а почему я выбрал вариант 7 потому что как сказал Партурнакс драконы били созданы Акатошой, а знач понятия как секс им не известно. Но поскольку главный герой помог durneviir, он должен бить боле добр к нему (если он призвал до этого).

i think it's already working as is, i've seen it show up in a few SSE load orders.

(just make sure you have the SSE version of HCoS, and NOT the SLE version that is linked in the requirements)
