I can not even enter for the 5th time...They are continually sending  the message for password reset cause of always the same pathetic message of weird usage of my account... Then I try to reset the password that will take me always to another reset password page...Its just pathetic and I got tired of Tumbrl ...I only used it to check on Mod creators that use it as platform for their released Mods anyway...

It a BS way of making people getting tired of it !

I don't blame them. It is always some asshole that fucks things up.. (the person posting child porn on it)  Seriously, What thoughts go through some peoples minds. It is too much work to keep something clean and safe, to allow people to be "mature" and manage things themselves. There are plenty of sites to post and view porn.

One person shits their pants and then everyone has to wear diapers from now on.

Is there a way to dowbnload all stuff in the blog at once?

If you had asked me a couple of computers ago, I could have given you the "app" that mined the tumblr pages that you selected.   It was something under the title of ripper and the shots seem to match what I remember.   What is funny is the number of downloads have been going up dramatically (who would have thunk it?)  so BE CAREFUL, as this would be a wonderful "watering hole" attack place for malware. https://sourceforge.net/projects/tumblrimagedown/

I guess that Goblin Slayer anime hit harder than anyone thought it would.  Tumblr's obvious objective is to target anime/hentai crowd, but the collateral damage will include gay/lesbian fan art, furries and other safespace Tumblrinas.  Social justice Tumblr shutting down social justice Liberals.  It's a win/win since real human beings think Tumblr is a huge joke anyway.  Zero fucks given.

Perhaps the true reason behind their aversion to Goblin Slayer is the fact that the title character can be seen as a mirror for people such as them, possessed of a monomaniacal obsession with pursuing one particular type of target above all else to the exclusion of all other interests.

If the Goblin Slayer were a real person, he would likely have a similar type of profile to their average one, only replace the group that they've declared to be bigots or the invisible far-reaching conspiracy which they are dedicated to smashing with Goblins.

Only visited Tumblr a few times, so not sure if this suggestion is not mainstream enough but I go to this site more often when I am looking for NSFW artwork.

https://www.deviantart.com/

Please, make the following little experiment

  1. pick two humans, select the genders of your choice, or make it random for the fun of it
  2. google search for a random picture with those two humans
  3. make the search with "naked" and "penetration" (with whatever and wherever, you get the spin of my thoughts  :classic_wink:)
  4. slighly modify it - doesn't really matter what - just so it may be called "art"
  5. post it there

Lean back , start the stopwatch and see who will be quicker and wins the race ..

  • the copyright watchdogs (who may have a weak stance if your manipulation is well done)
  • or the censorship & thought police

Wasn't one person. Wasn't one occurrence from what I have read... it was happening often enough to cause troubles, just the last occurrence was the one that got the most press.

You might not care about Pedo content, but many do, and won't accept it.  Tumbr is responsible to maintain their site and address any legal issues (pedo content is a major one) Swiftly.  Then there is the reputation at stake. What company wants to be connected to pedo content? Reason I can't blame them for the rule change.

So it isn't one person shitting their pants.. it is more like some asshole sticking their dick in the pie and then expecting everybody to eat it occurrence. Instead of just doing that shit somewhere else.

You are however, entitled to your opinion.

The filter is a total joke, I just checked my tumblr and certain posts are already marked as sensitive, like this one:

tumblr_pdtdkeRs831woo9coo4_1280.png

No nipples to be found anywhere on this post. I've other posts with full nudity and they get a pass from the filter...:thumbsup:

Yep... likely the blood content and partial nudity... Not sure.
happens when AI has to use some common sense. It isn't able to do that very well. Sad... Tumbr is basically fucked now.

Our people who have been making those creative content, NSFW, and other stuff etc on Tumblr, We just got screwed. If I were you and you are using tumblr, start backing up your stuff! I hate it when shit like this is happening.

Yeah..That's what i'm doing right now. I'm trying blogger right now, but i'm not really used to the format. and getting all my stuff from my tumblr blog is a bit of a pain. ?

Like being a mom, I obviously understand why they're doing this...but I just feel like it's also to a crazy extreme and really screws over those honest private adult blogs that just want to express themselves and stories....

They might be using the CP as a casus belli to go after everything NSFW + the porn bots. Probably to appease the advertisers, because many companies don't want their product to be associated with porn. Time will tell, but I don't think this will be good for tumblr given how the porn scene was freaking huge. Tumblr got big through porn, mostly, so they might think they've outgrown the need for it now. It wouldn't be the first time a company ditches what made them successful in the past if they're thinking this will eventually lead to more profit along the way.

It will be like MTV and music videos only with more pornography involved this time.

That is very sexist of them to single out only female nipples. That policy promotes hatred of functional mammary ducts so it is also reverse ableist.

Obviously it appears that chopped of heads, sliced bodies and tortured people are not part of their crusade. So those things are acceptable for minors in their eyes?

Please correct me if I am wrong?

Sadly, you're absolutely right. 'Muricans have some strange sickness that makes them think horrible violence is okay for kids to see, but even simple nudity is strictly verboten. And then they wonder why the country has the highest rate of teen pregnancies, STDs, and school violence of any First World country. I'd say more but I'd just wind up ranting.

Well just plopping that in here. It was Verizons plan all well along when it buyed yahoo and tumbrl.

some highlights:

  • On Monday, Tumblr CEO Jeff D’Onofrio announced in a post on the staff blog that explicit visual content will be banned from the site starting on December 17. That means no more sex acts, no more nudity, and no more “female-presenting nipples,” whatever that means.
  • Two former Tumblr employees said they were alarmed when Khalaf chose Black Lives Matter as an example of a community that the company should focus on converting into Yahoo media consumers.
  • “Simon explicitly said that Black Lives Matter was an opportunity to [make] a ton of money.”
  • “[The NSFW ban] was going to happen anyway,” the former engineer told me. “Verizon pushed it out the door after the child pornography thing and made the deadline sooner,” but the real problem was always that Verizon couldn’t sell ads next to porn.
  • Porn on Tumblr is something Verizon needs to wipe out if it’s going to make any money off what it thinks is actually valuable about the platform — enormous fandom and social justice communities that, just before the Verizon acquisition, Khalaf was insisting the staff figure out how to better monetize.
  • The former employee also noted that Tumblr’s engineering team has been shrinking, with senior staff leaving for other jobs without hearing counteroffers from Verizon. Odd, because Tumblr would probably have an easier time growing if there were more investment in basic problems that a robust engineering team could address
  • The search feature is notoriously terrible, and the limited discovery features on the platform are virtually useless. Tumblr has struggled with porn bots and bad ads for years, but its tools for rooting them out are also widely considered to be far below the industry standard.
  • Fandom communities, sex workers, researchers, and all kinds of Tumblr users who use the platform for a range of artistic or personal expression will find themselves restricted by the new rules — and many say it will force them to leave the platform.
  • “To alienate this loyal and vocal part of the site is shocking to me. Yet, on the other hand, when I read ‘female-presenting nipples’ I realized [Tumblr is] just another site that hates the female form. Is there any woman out here in 2018, sex worker or not, that’s surprised by the ability of a company to demonize a woman’s body? I don’t think so.”
  • A transgender Tumblr user and sex worker who wished to remain anonymous tells Vox, “Tumblr was a safe place to work for me because it allowed me to self manage. It’s actually more difficult that people think to get into sex work successfully online. Many cam sites are sketchy, will take the vast majority of your profits and make you sign over the rights to your content meaning they can repost it anywhere. [And] content like what I made/make is only really appealing to others in the LGBT community — I’m not wanted elsewhere and it’s hard for me to look at a profit anywhere else.”
  • [Kate Hagen] points out that many of Tumblr users are women, much or most of the explicit content on Tumblr “was made by, for, and about women,” and that Tumblr’s “all porn” reputation stems from the fact that “women were thrilled to finally find porn that fit their interests, and wanted to foster that community as much as possible.” The decision to squash all that, she says, is gendered, and a major loss.
  • [Internet archivist Jason Scott says] “You will never say to me that a phrase like ‘female-presenting nipples’ comes from a place of thought and consideration and working with your community.”

You think Apple Bee's wants their ad next to a post with someone taking 50 dicks up their butt?

Well, actually, yes. The mantra in the advertising industry is still "Attention, attention, attention", and a lot of companies use sex often enough, just slightly more descent than 50 dicks in a butt. They think it's totally fine to create ads that blink, scroll, scream and shout plus spy and track me all the time but oohhhh! Don't dare to put that ad next to something my grandma (or SJWs) wouldn't be fine with. Fuck those hypocrites.

I'm done with tumblr since they want me to create an account to see anything and i won't miss them at all, but if the ad industry wants to tell me that it's not ok to put their ads next to porn AND they are too busy to track me instead of placing their ads next to something where it actually fits the content, i hope they all die a terrible death. Not too slow, though, i can't wait for it.

*edit: plus their filter is not only slightly off. That a machine confuses that thing some posts above with nipples, nvm. But this cave? https://mobile.twitter.com/annetropy/status/1069712266923294720

Now who can argue with that kind of logic.   It is ok to ban legal stuff because it will help ban the already illegal stuff.  I guess I am one of the simple people who reads "banning porn" and doesn't assume it is all pedo, but perhaps that is your association.

But hey, you are however, entitled to your opinion.

There's obviously an interest by artists in there being such a site, which in turn spawns traffic.

One thing capitalism taught me : If there's a need, someone will step up to fill it. If Tumblr wants to gain some sort of 'good-guy' image, then we'll just have to wait and see which replacement for said 'questionable' content becomes the de facto go-to site.

To me, Tumblr is still 'new', but moving all your stuff from one place to another is always unpleasant.

Ok I'm so late to pitch in my two cents about this.

On one hand, Tumblr contains some of the most vocal "politically-correct"/"SJW" user bases, to the point of absurdity; on the other it does had a lot of sexual content. In between there are mod authors who, for a variety of reasons including convenience or because Nexus is too daunting to bother with, prefer to release their mods on Tumblr.

Now most of the Japanese authors are migrating elsewhere to either Twitter, Flickr, or to blogs.
