[Request] Would like to have a magic spell made (SOLVED)

Recommended Posts

Hi there, I'm looking for someone skillful in making custom magic spells. There is a magic spell I would like to give to a follower I'm making.

This is the magic spell:

This is a barrier skill that protects you from incoming damage. Pretty much like the ward spell, but I would like it to have two effects, damage protection and healing. But if that is too complicated then I'm cool with it being used just for one of those... preferably the healing cause I've never been able to make a custom follower to use the ward spell before.

I would like it to look as close as possible to the images. Like the green color and sparks effect. I guess this could be done by recoloring the ward spell and adding the sparks to it. Easy said than done?

By the way, my follower is Android 18 from dragon ball z series. That's why I wish to make her able to use her combat abilities.

If you think you can do it and you are interested, pls get in contact with me.

I think you can do it yourself. Damage protection can easily be made by create a custom perk for her which modify incoming damage into zero under condition her custom ward spell is active, like this.

Just change the "invalid" parameter with your custom magic effect.

Healing effect even easier, simply add restore health magic effect on her custom ward spell.

I'm using steadfast ward as an example. But you can apply same thing with your custom ward spell.

I was following your instructions but is not working. In game she uses the spell but she is not recovering health or using the ward ability. Can I send you captures on how I setup things so you can tell me where am I doing wrong?

Thank you man, well look:

As you can see in this image, I made the perk and have it linked to the magic effect:

Of course I gave the perk and spell to my follower. Can you see something going on here?

Green Ward.zip

Wow thank you very much man!! I was almost dropping the idea of having a custom appearance for the spell since I read that it's a very difficult thing to edit spells color.

Thanks again!

By the way, I already made a green ward effect.

Hey man, I just saw the spell in game and wanted to say thanks again. It looks excellent! and yep my follower is finally using the spell, but there are some downsides. Maybe you could help me solve this, I don't know..

Well this is what's happening:

My follower uses the spell at the start of combat, but just for a very brief moment and then she never uses it again. Not even when her health is low. In combat she just keeps spamming the same destruction spell, even though I gave her 2 destruction spells. She just sticks with one. I would like to make her use both. And make her use her ward ability for a longer time as the vigilants of stendarr.

Any ideas bro?

If you want to make her use 2 spell simultaneously, just give her 2 custom spells which can only be equipped with left or right hand each.

As for the ward spells, the AI tend to use it when got attacked by melee opponents. Forcing AI to use the ward spell when their health is low is require custom scripting which I haven't learned yet.
