It would be neat if Katarina would approach or nofity the player that Laura has disappeared and Katarina would join you as your companion on the quest. Would be really interesting since Katarina knows her way around locks aswell so possibly the player gets locked in some bondage in the quest and Katarina just luckily happens to know how to remove them. ? Would be nice to get to know her a little more too during the adventure because she doesn´t have much to say usually. Although I´m sure Katarina wouldn´t take a no when it comes to saving her best friend. She either has to bribe the player or... use other measures ? (Technically she could use one of the cursed devices Laura doesn´t sell to make the player help her (and apologize later, she only did it out of desperation) but I´m not sure if Katarina would do that (Would certainly be interesting though... ?) ) There would have to atleast be some way to force the player to help because being able to refuse and make Katarina save Laura alone would really kill the mood in the mod and I´m pretty sure Laura and Katarina wouldn´t take that very well. (Would leave room for evil players though) But it´d be a miracle if the player wasn´t banned from the shop (making the Mod useless) after leaving Laura to her fate and putting Katarina into danger aswell by making her do it alone. Technically this could lead to punishments and apologies but I feel like in a realistic sense Laura and Katarina wouldn´t even want to spend any more time with the player and just straight up ban her. But going back to the quest itself, I feel like choices would be neat aswell. Kind of like in GTA V where you select an approach (Sneaky or Guns blazing). Here you could either choose to just murder everyone together with Katarina or sneak in alone (maybe even let yourself be captured to pull strings behind their backs). Being captured could either go really well or.... they´d expect you to do some kinky stuff (Together with Laura, with someone else or alone). Rushing in and murdering everyone could prove dangerous as they´d likely have armed guards and the slavemaster wouldn´t take the 2 intruders lightly. Sneaking in could be a good option but someone could easily jump you, hold you down and scream for help if you don´t watch your surroundings, this basically leading to the captured approach. The captured approach could also have some branches going off to not being able to escape at all through bad choices or managing to escape your bonds and rescuing Laura. Failing to escape would leave Katarina with now Two Damsel in Distress to rescue and she´d find a way in to somehow throw you a key down or unlock you and give you a weapon. Would definetly make for an interesting quest with lots of flexible choices. And it would feel really alive aswell due to the NPCs playing a big role. In my opinion it´s unfair how the player is usually always wins/plays the biggest role and NPCs are always the unfortunate ones / "Just NPCs". But especially with the being captured part it would be the other way around Katarina would now be a protagonist coming to save you (and Laura of course). Would make you feel more like a normal (and vulnerable) person rather than the unkillable,strong oh-so-great Hero, which in my opinion is nice. In the end you´d always rescue Laura but depending on your choices it can go a lot of different ways, some being better and some worse (depends if you see kinky stuff as worse ?) Laura would then offer you something nice like a discount or possibly even a unique device for you to have as a souvenir of the Shop and as a thank you, like a collar for example (maybe one of the lesser used ones in DD). Could give you some nice effects boosting some stats at the cost of for some reason liking ballgags a lot more (just like Laura....  Mhhm.... ?).

It's maybe 1 out of 4, and random-ish. I expected this. One time a scene aborted with no animations but your mod did recover, just no scene happened. This is also the DD Filter.

I usually had this problem with Defeat when it tried to initiate two or more scenes at the same time. For example, when both PC and follower get assaulted. Doubling values of SyncEvent() in sslThreadController seems to fix it. At least didn't have standing actors in Defeat since. DD filter is forcing sexlab to do extra work, maybe it need more time to prepare scenes because of that.

About Katarina getting more screentime, I also heard the opposite. :P Some people said that they want more Laura because Katarina already goes with you in Blending In.

Both is good! ? Some quest taking Laura on an adventure where she´d maybe talk to you about some previous adventures during the travel would be nice too. Maybe from time to time just some mumbling to herself how great it feels to be out of the Shop for once ? The nostalgia kicks in ? That kind of stuff ? The player would be travelling with the Lara Croft of devices here, who has likely discovered some nice artifacts/cursed devices in dungeons so she must surely have some interesting tales! Maybe Laura heard of this one artifact/device she always wanted to find and can´t take her mind off it, the player quickly offering help to travel with her. Like with the Thotium but a little more ancient and sought-after. Some old artifact said to give "incredible power", owned by an old long-dead King with interesting hobbies or something. After finding it, both get really curious of what it does and the player is left with the choice of letting Laura try (maybe she´d be too careful of artifacts to try that ?) or having the player herself equip it (Laura could warn the player that this could prove dangerous). This would of course have some interesting effects. Maybe the King didn´t want people to rob his grave long after he was dead so he put a curse on it that compells people nearby to explode with curiosity. The player would equip it and then notice all these other shiny devices around, feeling the need to complete the collar with the matching set. This would then put the player in quite the predicament and they´d have to return to the store with the devices, on themselves though! The player also found some interesting books and an especially fancy diary. Reading it reveals that the King had plans to get himself another servant, this one tending to other needs however. The King has got his servant now! He´s just... kind of a little too dead to celebrate now. ?

I´ve probably done it with a friend 3 times now and we failed to sneak every time. I told him that one more try and it will surely work for once but he insisted to go Guns Blazing as usual ?

A light hearted adventure quest will definitely happen after the story is complete. The story is really dark, so I look forward to making some fun stuff in the future.

 

By the way, you have no idea how close your suggestions are to already planned story quests. That's why my responses have been a bit short. I don't want to spoil anything. :P

I've done that heist so many times. Maybe 100 times now and I'm not exaggerating. And Stealth is my fav. :)

But I also got it wrong in the beginning and we have to accept that GTA5's stealth is kinda crap. Still a really cool heist though.

I'm super hyped for the next update.

this is a great mod. one thing i noticed in my playthrought however, some of the devices i buy from laura will disapear in my house chest at honeyside? there are a bunch of restraints i put in the chests that are fine but new stuff i buy will disapear as soon as i put it in and close the exchange menu?

 

happening at brezzhome as well now i all the continers i try

Disappear completely or do they re-appear in your inventory? That might be the "bondage lover" menu in DCL 8.5's MCM - which is reported to have vanished from DCL 9 beta. Do the things you buy (or find) elsewhere disappear also?

Never had any issues of that kind with Laura's gear, seems your game is borked. Check your logfiles for hints.

no it doesnt let me drop them. if i spawn items with additem menu for mods they work and can be stored, just some i buy. the ones that wont store also wont show up on npcs exept followers and they will show up on my character. odd.

The ones you buy from her are regular DD items. So this is weird.

 

Is it with all items you buy from her?

Does the same thing happen with the same restraint if you additem it?

Does this also happen in a new game?

Also, please share the papyrus log from when you buy something and then store it.

I'd love to add that option some day, but it's hard to do.

Locking the player will block access to my others quests and can also cause compatibilty issues with other mods.

Locking the quests and giving the player more gold could be a solution, but rewarding the player for not being able to play the mod is kinda weird.

 

Right now, I could make the delivery quest work with it, but that would be the only quest. I'm thinking of expanding it after the story is completed. Something like a roleplay thingy where you're the sub and can do repeatable quests for rewards and kinky stuff. Like where she takes them off so you can do Seeking The Curse, but with a timer where you're rewarded when you're on time and maybe punished somehow when you're late. Kinda like CDS, but in my style. Story has priority right now, but I think it could be fun. :)

I know it's not your taste, but since @Veladarius is ill and it's unlikely for Captured Dreams to come back, I would really like to ask you for a belt that stays locked until marriage, whereupon your spouse will receive the key, only unlocking you to have sex with you, lovingly teasing you. No plugs, no torture, just a loving spouse who wants you all to herself.

 

Or add a conversation option if your spouse sees you wearing a chastity belt you will go to Laura together and she will keep both of you locked (and have your spouse say something about the belt from time to time).

Spousal chastity isn't my thing, but I'll see if I can expand Locked Away in the future.

Yeah, it doesn't work with the story, but I also don't want this to be a slavery mod. There are more than enough of those and I will never do that abusive shit to the player.

 

I also don't think Blending In would work without the story and challenges. Making them actually hold you there would quickly get boring. There's no way I'll be able to come up with enough content to keep it interesting if it was longer.

 

But I do want to revisit the cave again. :)

Yeah, I meant it like a consensual option where you could talk to Katarina while she refuses to sell the player to Holden and convince her to let you stay if you liked it there, and then perhaps tie it in with the perfect girl search, since one of the slavers was supposed to know something, right? So Laura and Katarina could conduct the search from the outside, while you could dig up information from the inside :) Of course, since searching for the perfect girl only comes into play during like the second or third rescue quest, this would probably need filler content in the slavers' cave, and then Katarina would come under the guise of the "job" she was offered, and ask you to try asking around before she leaves again. I get that this sounds like a whole lot of work, but I'm rather fond of branching stories ^^

I like them too, but it's so much more work. It already takes months to make an update and I don't think anyone wants it to take a year and a half.

It's something I do want to look into after the story is complete, but don't expect anything major.

Absolutely! I appreciate the mod no matter what :) Those are just my loose ideas. I'd help if I knew how!
