Thieving has gotten out of control in Skyrim!!!

 

There's stealing from Inns and from Merchants, even from Temples! These kleptomaniacs would even take the last potato from an Old Lady! What kind of a Monster would do this?!

 

The Guards catch these criminals sometimes, but not enough, what is needed are Vigilantes to bring these Thieves to justice! Mages have enchanted items so that Vigilante's will know when they've been stolen and the Townsfolk have put their funds together to invest in various Bondage Furniture that will work perfectly for performing Corporal Punishment on these Thieves when they're caught!

This Mod adds 200+ Furniture items from ZAP 8 throughout Skyrim. They are spread out with a focus on variety. Any of these Furniture items can be used in scenes if they are nearby when/if the player is caught. The Mod does not count Thievery if you are caught by Guards and have a bounty placed on you, if you are processed by the 'System' then Vigilantes will not bother you. But if the Guards don't catch you, then the Vigilantes will!

 

Features:

200+ Furnitures places around Skyrim in Taverns, Cities, Farms, Jarl Houses

3 Scenes for Thievery that will work with any nearby Furniture.

1 Scene for Birthday Spanking. - After leveling up, the Player may later be kidnapped by 3 kinky Ladies to 'celebrate'.

Pre-processing strip clothing before entering Furniture.

Flavor Text depending on the type of Furniture locked into.

Facial expression changes depending on type of Furniture.

 

I didn't mess with Navmesh when placing Furnitures, instead I simply placed them 'out of the way'. They shouldn't block NPC pathways or interfere with X-Markers, Spawn Points, Trigger boxes, or other things.

 

DD is not a requirement but the Mod does check if you're wearing DD Devices and will prevent use of Furniture or Scene triggering if you are wearing certain types of Devices. (Making being constantly locked up in DD a way to escape Vigilante Justice - For Now)...

FAQ:

Q: Will this interfere with POP?

A: It shouldn't because none of the Furniture is placed in the same place as POP Furniture and if you are stealing stuff that results in a Bounty, it would not be handled in this Mod. (POP would handle it.) - This Mod will trigger events if you steal stuff that you would normally 'get away with'. (No Bounty).

 

Q: Will any Furniture work?

A: Any nearby Furniture with the zbfFurniture Keyword will work. This includes Furnitures placed by other Mods such as POP, MME, Bannered Mare Immersive Sexual Playground, or any other Mod that uses ZAP Furniture. You can get locked into this Furniture, that would include perhaps being forced to become a Milk Maid in MME. - The Player could even put down their own if they wanted to.

 

Q: How do I unstuck NPCs that didn't show up?

A: Waiting for 1 hour will usually do the trick. If it doesn't, try waiting for 1 hour again.

 

Q: There are extra scenes that happen if the Player is wearing DD items, is DD required?

A: No. You don't need DD for this Mod, but if you have it there are some extra things that can happen.

 

Version 1.0.1 Changes:

 

  • Improved Caning Scene so the Character will make sounds + full camera shake and blood spatter effects as if taking real damage. 
    • (I did a laughable amount of tinkering to get this to work).
  • Fixed an issue with scenes starting if only one of the two Vigilante Aliases filled (The scenes should always start now).
  • Improved stuck actors moving to Player if they don't show up initially, (If you use Wait for 1 hour 1-2 times they should show up.)
  • Circumvented a possible Skyrim bug that would sometimes happen even though AI Pack had a marked bool of 'Do no damage'. - Sometimes it would do damage anyway and the Player would end up getting beaten to death. - This only happened occasionally, maybe ~5% of the time, but it should never happen now.
  • Fixed one other AI Pack to prevent a Scene-stuck glitch.

 

Version 1.0.2 Changes:

 

  • Changed Scene progression so the Cat-O-Nine & Branding Iron can progress on either Player Health < 30% or when a timer runs out.
    • This way high health characters won't get stuck because they're health never goes below 30%, and low levels won't die because they can't handle 60 seconds of getting smacked with a Branding Iron. - Should now work for both high and low level characters.

 

Version 1.0.3 Changes:

 

  • The Birthday Spanking celebration should no longer trigger if there is no Bondage Furniture nearby.

 

Version 1.0.4 Changes:

  • Did a variety of things to address combat issues.
    • The AI can no longer be interrupted by Combat.
    • Aliases will not fill if they are in Combat.
    • Scenes will not start if the Player is in Combat.
    • No Enemy Factions can occupy any of the Aliases.
    • The Scene will not start if there is any Enemy type within 5,000 distance units of the Player, and the Furniture must be within 4,000 distance units. - This should be a good way to test if the Scene is 'safe' before starting.
    • The Furniture Alias will not fill if they are in location types such as Dungeons, Dragon Mounds, Bandit Camps, etc.
  • Increased reach of the Canes / Crops etc. by about 35% - Should make landing strikes more consistent with the different Furniture types.
  • Actors can no longer be activated by Player while they are in Scene.
  • Actor AI should not be interrupted by anything.

 

Version 1.0.5 Changes:

 

  • Added more variety to the dialogues for Whipping Scenes, the dialogue in these scenes should be a lot more dynamic.
  • Special dialogue if Player is in Gibbet for Whipping Scene (can add more dialogue for more Furnitures later).
  • Fixed issue with some globals not resetting properly.
  • Bards can no longer be selected as Vigilantes.
  • Water Wheels will not be selected as possible Furniture because Vigilantes couldn't get in correct positions. (May add something for them later).
  • Vigilantes will now expect payment for their 'services'.
    • If you can't pay, you will get a bounty for the unpaid amount. The Guards will not be alarmed, and it will be petty-crime level, but they can add up!

 

Version 1.0.6 Changes:

 

  • Added MCM
  • Added MCM Slider for getting away with stealing. At 100% the Player will always get away with stealing, at 1% they would almost never get away with it, default is 50%.
  • Added MCM Options to Enable/Disable Birthday Spankers.

 

Version 1.0.7 Changes:

 

Fixed the goofy notification that said you were stealing all the time even if you weren't. - Now it's legit.

 

Version 1.0.8 Changes:

  • Player's will no longer be able to clear their Thief status while locked in DD gear because 'Everyone assumes a Bondage Slut is a Thief'. - This will give Players a chance to get punished for all of those keys that they've been stealing once they're free again.
  • In order to clear Thief status immediately on an update, the Player must be close enough to Bondage Furniture that they could potentially be 'punished'.
  • If the Player is far from Bondage Furniture or in the Wilderness, there is a 20% chance per tick that the Thief status will clear because NPCs may 'forget' about the theft.
  • The notifications should happen much less frequently and some have been removed.

 

Version 1.0.9 Changes:

  • If the Player steals while tied up wearing DD items that would normally block Furniture use, it is no longer a get out of jail free card.
    • New scenes where the Player will be randomly groped and full cavity searched. Stolen items will be confiscated and an 'inpection fee' will be assessed.
    • The Player can get a reprieve from the groping/fondling Vigilantes by finding a Jarl and making a deal.
      • After the Jarl deal, Vigilantes will leave the Player alone for ~ a day on average (but it's random so could be more or less).
  • In order for the Player to fully clear her name and to get the Strip-Searches to stop, she must escape all DD gear and then either get punished or escape from justice.
  • Groping chances can be controlled in MCM.

 

Version 1.1.0 Changes:

  • Reworked some scripts and script localizations to make a true soft sideways compatibility with DD - Integration.
    • Tested without DD installed and without the DD scripts - Mod worked fine.
    • Tested with DD installed and the extra behavior to watch for DD worked as expected.

 

Version 1.1.1 Changes:

  • Removed Masters that weren't in use in any way because the Creation Kit is fucking stupid.

 

Version 1.1.2 Changes:

  • Removed pre-processing, stripping will no longer happen if a Player activates Furniture on their own. - This always worked fine for me, but some people were having a problem with it. I suspect some other Mod was interfering, but I have no idea which one so I'm just disabling it for now.
  • Fixed a couple of script bugs that were causing some Log errors. These didn't appear to actually hurt functionality, but at least they shouldn't show up in the logs anymore.
  • Walked through the Scenes and made some changes that should help some people that were getting stuck. - The Scenes should work more reliably now.

 

Version 1.1.3 Changes:

For the moment the dialogue is more tailored to Female Players, but if there's a demand for it I could add in stuff for Males too.

 

The Vigilantes can be both Male and Female (equal chance).

Definitely going to give this one a try - mods like this are what I hoped we'd see with ZAP 8  and I've always wanted a mod that simply placed a bunch of ZAP furniture around the world in ideal locations, similar to how Hydra Slavegirls puts lots of eyecandy slaves and ZAP-idle bandits around.  Thanks for sharing, looks like a lot of work went into this.

 

The idea of punishing undetected thievery is interesting as well, altho I'll have to see how it works for my game since the only thing I typically bother stealing is DD keys via pickpocketing while deviced.  I am running Devious Followers however, so I could start getting in the habit of trying out thievery to keep up with my payments... :classic_tongue:

 

While I should probably wait to test out the mod before offering suggestions, I think occasional NPC-only scenes using the furniture could really bring a mod like this to "life" even if the player isn't often the target of the Vigilant's anger.  Encountering things like a generic vigilant whipping a generic thief in a ZAP 8 furniture when you visit town, or witnessing a vigilant lead a thief to a random device and hooking them up, especially if the above had commentary could be amazing. 

 

Of course it might be a bit much to ask scripting and AI wise, as reliable NPC usage of furniture seems to be a challenge.  Hydra Slavegirls does a good job of adding furniture-using NPCs into the game world, but I think all of them are actually just using ZAP 7 idles with animated objects and not placed furniture.

I 'think' that you will end up paying for stealing all those keys once you get out of your Devices. :classic_wink:

This would be interesting, although as you mentioned, it can be a bit of a challenge with placed Furniture. I believe however that Hydrogorgon added zbf Keywords to his NPCs, which means that I could easily hook into them without any further requirements and could really bring a Mod like 'Slave Girls' to life (if you happened to have it installed).

What mods do you use to have DD keys on NPCs for pickpocketing?  I used to use For the Masses but it has yet to be updated recently and it wasn't quite working as expected with keys only showing up on NPCs with DD devices on them.  I've been using the Key20 mod for now which works but has no options to for customization.

Not to hijack the topic - but I use Deviously Cursed Loot to both get into DD and somewhat to find keys to get out of them.  It has a bunch of escape options, and I have it set up so that keys only show up when I'm wearing at least one DD item, and they most commonly show up when pickpocketing people.  The important bit is they are marked as "stolen" items and have a value of 100g, so hopefully taking them will get this mod's NPC's angry :classic_wink:.

I can later begin to add different other locations with furnitures, too - and this new locations could perhaps be merged too(if wanted and if that´s working).

This Mod will work with any ZAP furniture placed by any Mod, including POP and MME (Yes you can become a forced Milkmaid as a result.). - Players could even place their own furniture if they wanted.

 

I actually checked POP Furniture placement so I didn't overlap any with my own placement. If you commit thievery crimes that result in a bounty, then it will be handled by POP or by the regular Skyrim Jail system.

 

Thievery that doesn't result in a bounty will be handled by this Mod. - So it shouldn't interfere with POP. (But it could make use of the POP placed Furniture).

If an MCM menu does end up being a thing, a slider or two to control how much theft you can get away with before you are in danger of being "corrected" by the vigilants would be awsome as well.  That way people that don't steal that much could set a pretty low threshold, while those that think themselves master catburglers could set the value pretty high so they aren't literally in punishing furniture every other day. 

 

If they could set a min and max value to allow for a range, there could be some decent randomization added as well (might get noticed after 500 g of theft.... or rack up 5,000 in stolen goods and feel like you are walking on eggshells knowing that the shoe will drop sooner rather than later).

To add to this, and I do like this idea btw. I actually built it so the exact amount stolen from any given faction could be easily tracked. I had considered as an addition adding 'levels' of criminality. So if you steal more than X amount, say 5,000 gold worth from a given faction, the punishments become more and more severe, up to and including getting walked to Riften and sold into slavery... And maybe I could even make use of the ZAP Gallows... hmmm (Or maybe that's too extreme?)

 

There may also be a way to 'pay off' a public official to get your crime level back to 0...

I like the idea of "paying off" a public official as an avenue for a player who wants to avoid public humiliation to clear their accumulated theft amount.  More options are always great, especially if they are opt-in.  If you feel that is a bit too easy as a "get out of whipping free" card, you could have there be a chance the public official isn't horribly corrupt/horny and they give you a instant 1k vanilla bounty - to be dealt with by whatever regular crime mods the player has installed (SLUTS or Sexlab Bounty for me).

 

100% personal taste opinions below - not my mod so these should just be taken as personal feedback as to what I'd prefer and why.  I guarantee others will have the complete opposite tastes.

 

I don't really like the idea of "levels" of crime because that would reduce the randomness of the events you can get.  I'd kinda rather events just trigger completely randomly as soon as you hit the invisible theft amount for a faction, especially if that invisible number was semi-random based on MCM menu settings.  Lore reason why this could be explained is that the vigilantes don't really have any evidence on the PC (hence no bounty or direct value of theft reported) but take their frustrations out on someone they have a solid suspicions on outside of the law.  An idea that I personally would enjoy more would be a chance to trigger faction-specific events for some of the major factions, with dialogues and/or punishments tailored to the faction.  Not that these factions would have completely custom events, but it could be really cool if say there was one unique scene for the Solitude crime faction that you may randomly trigger instead of all the other possible scenes that work for all factions.

 

I also am not a fan of randomly-triggered events taking away control of my character completely for a long time.  Not something everyone will agree with, but I never could keep Prison Overhaul Plus installed in my game long term, because every time I accidentally got a bounty and triggered POP, I found I reloaded the save to keep doing what I was doing rather than spend 30 minutes watching POP scenes with almost no player interaction.  As a result I don't think I'd like stuff like a forced march to Riften or a ZAP Gallows scene that forces a game-over.  Of course if there is an MCM menu, stuff like this could be optional and I'd have zero room to complain. :classic_tongue:

 

Idea/opinion-dump over, thanks again for uploading this cool mod.  Even if suggestions are off base with the mod's vision, they are fun to think up and write up.

I got the MCM setup for WRB, so I suppose it wouldn't be hard to port over some of the code. :classic_wink:

 

Probably best to get it setup early as I've found... lol

Ways to see some gallows usage without it being fatal:

- Have the cord break and the convict be reprieved.

- Stage a mock execution where the cord intentionally breaks.

- Have the convict temporarily suspended (not dropped).
