View File Version 7.0 - Non Dragonborn storyline expanded (almost done!) Mod Description I enjoy Live Another Life and Skyrim Unbound, but after talking to the statue and then activating the bed or pressing "begin", it always feels a little jarring to just suddenly be standing somewhere with no real context. That's where this mod comes in. It will add a very simple story to each of the scenarios and, for the LAL stories, find a way to point you in the direction of Helgen (where you otherwise have no contextual reason to visit except for LAL's generic "you heard rumors about Helgen"). The other thing that I felt was needed was a storyline that gave the player a reason to start the main quest, so now all beginnings will start a short quest that will lead you to Bleak Falls. New in version 5.xx - An epic* NON-Dragonborn storyline! Once you get to the cabin where your parents are supposed to be, you will have the choice between continuing the Vanilla storyline or beginning a new quest that assumes you wouldn't know a Dragon shout from a peal of thunder. The scenarios that have something at this point: Altered Beginning (and any other version of the Vanilla start) - All versions of the Vanilla start. (Note: the EtC quest giver is down the road where the paths from Helgen's front gate and the path to the cave meet. This is to ensure compatibility with mods that start you in Helgen versus those that have you go through the cave. LIve Another LIfe - "I want to escape this cell" - "I've Been Shipwrecked!" -To start the quest on this option, escape the boat. There is another survivor on one of the ice flows on the far side of the nearest iceberg. Find him and talk to him. - "I was attacked and left for dead!" (Gate to Morrowind location) - "I was attacked and left for dead!" (Steamcrag location) - "I am a warlock's thrall" - warning: this one might be immersion breaking for some. Following fanuilh1's fantastic idea, this one is a "pulled from the real world" scenario. Also, it contains bad language. - "I am a vampire in a secluded lair" - The Bee and Barb Inn - Speak to Mianne - "I own property in one of the Holds" (Shoal's Rest Farm) - "I own property in one of the Holds" (All player homes) Skyrim Unbound - The Burned Cabin under the "Wilderness" tab. Prison Alternative - A modular Prison System View File READ THE REQUIREMENTS AND COMPATIBILITY SECTIONS BEFORE COMPLAINING! What is this mod? A lightweight Prison system with special emphasis on compatibility, extendability and intuitive feel to the game. Its designed to be a natural extension to the vanilla Prison system. without assuming that you have the entire DD-mod family installed. It even has (synthed) voices! Events Event based modular structure. Similar to Daymoyl or Simple Slavery new Events can be added without Dependency's. Trigger chance for specific Events can be adjusted in MCM. The System Has three types of Events. Daily Events, Punishing Events, Release Events. -Daily Events will occur on a daily basis, the heavier the crime, the more days the player will spend in prison. -Punishing Events will occur when the player is re-captured after an failed escape attempt, or while committing another crime while in prison. -Release Events will occur when the player sits out his entire Sentence. These Events can include normal Release, or something more unpleasant like a Simple Slavery outcome. Escape System The escape requirements have been changed to a somewhat more natural level. Which means you have to get out of the city rather than just reaching the first door. Which ALSO means that you can no longer just walk through the Guards barracks like you own the Place. when being defeated by a guard while on the run, you will be returned to your cell and punished. (This does NOT interfere with combat defeat mods) (Optional) - when you are imprisoned for a more serious crime or if you have already been recaptured once, you will be cuffed, which will make future escape attempts more difficult. Follower and NPC Support (optional) you follower will also be arrested and shackled in your cell. (optional) This mod Features a Detention and Bailout Mechanic for NPC´s (mainly followers). If you leave you follower behind during an escape, he will stay in Jail until you Bail them out. Requirements and installation SKSE - should be obvious, but apparently some people still manage to ignore that. SkyUI - Don´t ask Zap8/Zap8+ (both versions work) - make sure to get the correct version for either LE/SE after installing Prison Alternative, run FNIS! I ran up and tackled the guard. She drew her rifle when she heard me coming up the stairs, but didn't have time to fire. It might be my only chance to vanish from the Commonwealth without a bounty on my head. I had to go, Concord was about fifteen minutes' walk north, past the woods. In the woods, I found among a pile of branches a board that I could use as a weapon. It wasn't much, but at least I could defend myself against the local wildlife if I came across any. I didn't know what to expect at the meeting place. I doubted the value of my makeshift weapon, but if I could get a better one... Or rather, a pair of boots. After about ten minutes of running through the forest, I saw a large building next to a church. From what I remembered, it was definitely the Concord Museum. All I had was my prison jumpsuit, a board and my bare feet. The odds were clearly on my side before the big reveal. I walked into the museum. Inside, a raider's corpse was displayed, along with a familiar woman's presence on the back bench: Calista, my former slave who had visited me in prison. Why had she come here? Did she want to finish me off? "Isabel! Welcome! I knew you'd make it, I never doubted your skills. We don't have much time, so I'll have to be brief. Your freedom comes at a price. A couple of days later, I decided to go to Nuka World. Some raiders still owed me some favors and this might be the good start for a new beginning elsewhere. Looking at the pre-war billboards, I actually found my destination: Vegas. I wondered, why not make a debauched life there? Maybe become a mercenary and spend all my money on casinos and liquor? Calista had given me that option, and I thanked her for it. Besides the shotgun I had found in an abandoned house, a rather friendly dog was in the vicinity. I never dealt with animals before, only slaves, but I figured they worked the same way: a collar, some food and a decent mistress to keep them happy. "Okay big boy, are you ready to follow me? We're heading to Vegas! It's a long way, but together we'll get there, eh? Alright, let's go pal!" A few days later, after the revenge in Lexington... I finally decided to go to Boston. On the way, I made a stop at a place called Covenant. It was a cluster of houses fortified by concrete walls with turrets on them that protected the area. The guard at the entrance invited me to take a test called the GOAT. If I passed, I was allowed to enter. "A resident is in possession of a Grognak the Barbarian comic book, issue number 1. You want it. What's the best way to obtain in? 1. Trade the comic book for one of your own valuable possessions. 2. Steal the comic book at gunpoint. 3. Sneak into the resident's quarters, and steal the comic book from his desk. 4. Slip some knock-out drops into the resident's Nuka-Cola, and take the comic book when he's unconscious." I choose answer 3. Infiltration was my thing. After answering about ten questions, I was accepted into the compound. The first house run by a merchant who sold the resources produced here. "Hello ma'am, you are new right? I had to thank him as his lack of vigilance would allow me to escape. The hardest part was unlocking the cell door with my hands behind my back. Time to escape. There was no time to remove the handcuffs, I had to leave. I crouched down and walked out of the room. My footsteps were quite low, which was a big plus. I knew where I shouldn't go, I had to find my way back to the surface. I walked through an open red door. I forced myself to stand up, I couldn't see what was down there, the main room maybe? I was lucky not to come across any guards, it had to stay that way. In the other room, I saw a passage hidden by darkness. I felt like a ninja, jumping over the blocks of dirt before falling back behind the stairs. Being barefoot did not cause any noise. The guard on the deck continued his cigarette break without suspecting anything. I followed the path to the surface but my luck had to stop. There was a security post with a guard watching the corridor. It was impossible for me to get through without alerting him. I was so close... I had to use my legs and run as fast as I could. I sprinted at full speed. Other guards and a turret were in front of a pipeline leading outside. I didn't think for a moment and ran over there. "She's getting away, get her quick!" I'm sorry, but your shelter wasn't very welcoming. Covenant, my ass. Outside, it was daylight and I still had to escape from this place. The good news was that I was a pretty good swimmer. The bad news was that I couldn't use my arms because of the handcuffs. My legs had to work twice as hard to get to shore. I managed to reach the shoreline and make my way to the highway. Looking down, I saw no one chasing me. Now I had to get rid of these handcuffs and find some clothes. I hoped that no one could see me so vulnerable, it would give them bad intentions... It took me several minutes before I managed to disarm the mechanism and regain the use of my hands. I got dressed and kept moving. In front of me, Boston was devastated but still standing. As a slave, I had only seen the journey to Diamond City, which was a straight line. There were still plenty of other places to explore. It was decided, I would return to Diamond City, this time as a free woman. And for work opportunities.

When I came to my senses, I was undressed and tied up in a cage that was used for storage. A raider was posted, waiting for me to wake up. I felt an old sensation around my neck... "The bitch is awake. You don't know what you've gotten yourself into, don't you? When the boss is back, expect to have a better collar than the one you're wearing. In the meantime, we'll move you somewhere else. Be good or we'll beat the shit out of you." They hung me up in one of the big rooms in the factory. The raiders were laughing at me, they were happy to have caught the bitch who had crossed their territory and was about to pay the ultimate price. Some of them were talking banging me until I died. Others wanted me to become a slave. The final decision was up to the guy I had come to execute. I was in a bad spot, but that wasn't going to stop me. "The boss is back, take her to him. And bind her wrists, in case she stries anyting." I was escorted by a raider into the factory. I knew the place, much less populated and less defended than I remembered. The rope that bound my hands didn't look very strong. I had to wait for the perfect opportunity. I walked into the main room, the one in which I had fought in a cage. My impressions were comfirmed, there were only a handful of raiders left. A dozen or so compared to the hundred or so that had flourished in the place a few months ago. I was getting close to my target, I had to think of an exit. "Well, what do we have here? A little pest who tought she could take care of us ? You vaguely remind me of one of our slaves who died a few months ago. Don't worry, you'll be joining our ranked very soon. But first, I need to set you up with a new shock collar so you'll behave properly." I was running out of time. The thought of ending up with the same old collar... No, not this time for sure. "Those handcrafted collars... Good thing we can disable them from this terminal..." I had heard him whisper these words. He was too confident. No guard was watching me and I was in his blind spot. I put all the energy into getting out of these bonds. The gun he had placed near his desk would soon come in handy. When I broke free, I retrieved the loaded gun from the desk. The old master didn't hear me move, being barefoot had its advantages. All those days of suffering, being beaten and humiliated went through my mind in an instant. One thing kept me alive, freedom. The desire for revenge came later. "Vaultmeat sends her regard you scumbag." I pulled the trigger. All those memories went away with the smoke from the gun. But I wasn't done yet. The whole factory had heard the shot and the raiders were alerted. I quicky disarmed the explosive on my collar from the terminal. Now I could fight and none of them were going to make it out alive. With the great hall cleared, I rushed up the stairs, eliminating every raider in my path. I had that adrenaline rush that burned through my body. I felt invincible, nothing was going to stop me. It was an even better feeling than the one that got me hooked on the Jet. I reached the main lobby. All these bodies behind me... Killed by a topless barefoot former slave who was mildly pissed off. They had chosen their path and they crossed mine. The main door was closed, I had to find another way out. The remaining raiders in the factory were not happy to hear this news. It had to happen. It was my last magazine and there were still other guys left in the factory. I was going to have to use my feet and my fists to find a new weapon... I managed to pick up some kind of machete on the way out. One of the remaining raiders tried to slash me with her switchblade. Sorry dear, but my blade was bigger than yours. I spared no one. Even that raider who was sleeping the factory's rest area. He tried to get up and draw his gun, but failed. With the factory cleared, I headed for a ladder that led outside. I knew there would still be a few raiders, if they hadn't fled. Outside, a new day was breaking over Lexington. The cool breeze on my skin was a small pleasure, the heat of the factory became unbearable and this while I wearing only jeans. The guard who was watching the trap door had no chance against me, he hadn't noticed me. I picked up an assault rifle and continued my quest for revenge. The last survivors were trying to stop me, they should have run away. This guy tried to throw a molotov cocktail at me. He didn't think it would backfire. Fortunately for me, I didn't want to end up burned alive. I finished off the last living raider by bashing his skull with my rifle. That was the last section of the factory. Peace and quiet returned to normal. Everything was over. From there, I could admire the ruins of Boston. The landscape was magnificent. Two centuries later after the Bombs, the city was still standing. So many things to discover, so many places to explore. I was hoping not to end up in the same mess that introduced me to this Commonwealth. From slave to survivor, I managed to make a name for myself in this world. I had come to take revenge for the atrocious life I had lived alongside them. Despite my capture in the factory, I persevered and succeeded. Maybe I was lucky, maybe my strenght of character made the difference, whatever. I was dirty, the adrenaline of my body left me. My feet were sore... But I still had one more thing to do. I used the nearby toolbox to remove this collar from around my neck. No more slavery life, the closure was real. I had one more stop to make. One person from the gang was missing and I knew exactly where he was staying. The old shack was empty. No more slaves, no more pimps, no more customers. Apparently a fight had taken judged by the laser weapon marks on the walls. It looked like karma had struck the former master of the place. I decided to burn it down. No one was going to miss it. The old woman took me to a small house located near the ranch. "Would you like anything? Supplies? Shoes?" "No thanks, I don't want to overstay my welcome." "Suit yourself. We've had some recent trouble with a pirate crew. They've set up shop in shantytown deeper in the forest, kidnapping people to sell them into slavery. Perhaps you've met them." "I've encountered a few lone bandits on the way, yes. They're gone now, and that's how I got this rifle!" "Well done, hija! But forgive me, you're not from around here, what's your story?" We sat on the front porch and I explained my journey, from leaving Boston by boat to this day. "Wow, it's been quite a trip! And I guess you want to go home, right?" "Exactly, I saw a lighthouse on the coast. Given its condition, people live there. Maybe they spotted my boat or know where I could take one." "You've got great perception! We do business with them, when we're not being attacked. Maybe you could help us. You've got a firearm, it's quite rare around these parts. I'm asking you to get rid of just one person, their leader. "You can stay here for the night. Your best chance would be to attack just before sunset. 3 a.m. might be appropriate. When you leave for the lighthouse, follow the main roads and don't venture out. Coastal pirates are far more vicious than those next to us." "Many thanks to you! I'll be back in one piece with your help!" "I'm sure you will! Good luck on your journey." I lay down on the sofa. The house had no roof and I could see the stars emerging as night began to fall. I had a quick assassination to do before reaching the lighthouse. I didn't mind, because the reward was a trip back to Boston. Once back, I'd deal with Queen Isabel and return to Katy. A simple plan for a peaceful life. Shantytown, around 3 a.m. I took up position on some rocks above the shantytown. There wasn't much to observe, my feet dangling perhaps, but otherwise I saw a couple of guards trying not to fall asleep at their posts while others made the rounds. I was looking for a muscular guy with a helmet on his head, that was the chief's general description I asked for before leaving the ranch. Once I had spotted him, I drew my rifle and aimed. Muscular man, helmet on his head, Spanish words given to his troops, it was definitely the leader. To be sure of killing him, I decided to shoot his upper torso, the least muscular part of his body. The shot woke up the whole slum. The pirates would soon be hunting me down, and I couldn't stay there. To get to the lighthouse, I had to take a road guarded by a pirate stationed in a tower. He was looking for me with his sniper rifle. Too bad he didn't know which rocks I was hiding behind. After my second shot, I ran away from the pirates. There was no point in wasting the few bullets I had left on them. I followed the moonlit dirt road to an abandoned village, one of my checkpoints before reaching the lighthouse. I made my way to the small village square, joined by the dawn and its chirping early birds. I could see the mountain from here, the main hub of my Costa Rican adventure. All I had to do was climb it and head back down to the coast on the other side. My ascent had gone perfectly, and I didn't meet a soul in the heights. The lighthouse hadn't moved since the last time, which was a good thing. It could have been attacked or destroyed in a matter of days. The main road led back down towards the coast. I still had some ground to cover, but my goal was in sight. I was almost arrived, but decided to take a break at a roadside cottage with its own greenhouse. Like the village, this one looked abandoned, but I remembered yesterday's conversation with the elderly woman - there could be pirates around here. As a precaution, I pulled out my rifle and headed for the front door. After inspecting the door to see if it was booby-trapped or not, I kicked it in with my foot. Everything seemed normal, the house had just been abandoned by its residents. I wanted to pick up some supplies before getting to the lighthouse. I'd forgotten a key part of the conversation with the elderly woman: pirates lay vicious traps. I stepped on a pressure plate hidden under the carpet and a grenade rolled to my feet. It exploded instantly, releasing a gas that asphyxiated me and made me pass out. When I woke up, I had been disarmed and stripped of my leather armor. I was tied to a post with my breasts exposed, in a rather awkward position. I stared at the small group of pirates who had picked me up and placed me here. I was angry at them, but mostly, I was angry at myself for having been tricked once again. One of the female pirates came over and inspected me from head to toe before speaking: "Qui es tu, étrangère ? Tu ne ressembles pas aux autres que l'on capture ici." She spoke in French and wondered what I was doing here. They knew I wasn't from this part of the world. "Fuck you, bitch!" "Une fille qui parle anglais ! Fascinant ! Le boss sera ravi de faire ta connaissance. Amenez la au cargo et apportez le joug, au cas où elle tente quelque chose." I was going to be taken to their base in a... joug? I couldn't translate that word and that didn't sound good. So the French word joug meant yoke. It was a device quite unpleasant to bear. In its physical form, because I could no longer use my hands for anything, and in its moral form, because I felt like a draught animal. I was escorted to the pirate base, with the man in front and the woman behind with her rifle pointed at my buttocks. I'd had better endings to my former vacations. We kept walking along the beach, the midday sun beating down on us. I had a gift for getting myself into perilous situations... To spice things up halfway around the world with pirates who spoke French. It was hopeless to try an escape without the risk of being shot. I would have to endure what was to happen next and find a way. The pirates halted by a boat stranded on the beach. I was forced to kneel while they examined it. I didn't need to know any further. It was my boat, and it wouldn't take them long to find out. Perverted bitch, she was leering at my breasts! The pirates' base was a massive cargo ship also washed up on the Costa Rican coast. I could see dozens of them... it reminded me of an old factory in Boston. I was in a real quagmire, and it would get even worse after dealing with the pirates' captain. I was locked up in a cage on the cargo ship. Several minutes later, a man with a ridge and a killer's grin came and sat down. The pirate leader himself had come to check on his merchandise, me: "My men told me they'd picked up a priceless treasure on the coast, and they didn't disappoint. You're gonna fetch a nice fortune when I find you a buyer. An American girl, right? I heard they had a pretty good slave network up there." "Screw you and your men! I've slaughtered dozens like you, you don't scare me." "Did someone ever tell you the definition... of insanity? That's exactly how you sound, a disillusioned lunatic. Look where you are, trapped like a fucking rat! But don't worry, we've got plenty of time to fix that." "You won't get away with it, I'll make you pay!" "Keep talking, girl. In the meantime, we'll have to remedy this attitude disorder. Maybe spending some time with the crew will ease your mind. If you behave this badly, I'll let them deal with you as they see fit." "You won't break me that easily, I've been through worse!" "Is that a challenge? I'll accept it. We're going to take off those pants and gag you. There was nothing I could do, no way to escape or struggle. I was going to have to endure their assault and resist with all my energy. Back in hell, from castaway to slave. I had to believe in my purgatory to save myself. After being soiled and humiliated by pirates for several days, they eventually found potential buyers. Remember my boat? Well, it was searched from top to bottom, and the pirates managed to contact a large group of raiders in the Commonwealth. I was bartered for guns and ammunition and sent back to Boston. I didn't think I would hate returning home that much. To celebrate my release, the pirate's leader decided to change my hairstyle, too rebellious for his taste: "Voilà, it's better like that! We'll miss you, American slave. We'll keep some of your hair as a souvenir. Bon voyage!" And thus concludes Act 5 (Chapters 21 to 24) of Calista's adventures. The orange wagon led to another train that was leaving the station. It was very short, with a total of four cars. I found a mattress to put Katy on, she was struggling to stay alive. Poor child... "How the hell can I help you? Please Katy, don't die now!" She stopped breathing. I couldn't let her go, I had to do something. I tried to revive her by doing CPR (CardioPulmonary Resuscitation) to get her heart pumping again. "One, two, three! One, two, three! Please Katy, come back to life!" I was able to restart her heart but she was still very weak. I had almost forgotten what I picked up earlier in the day. I grabbed the other Stimpak from my breastplate and stuck it in her chest. I hoped it would be enough to get her back on her feet. I waited for the Stimpak to kick in. When I saw Katy put her hand on her chest and move her head, I was comforted and glad, it worked and she seemed to feel better! She was going to need some rest. This would give me time to find out who was in control of our train. I was exhausted, filthy as hell, and my feet were aching, but I had one last thing to do tonight: figure out who was in the driver's seat and where the train was going. I climbed the crates between the car and the locomotive. I knew one thing for sure, I would sleep soundly after all that drama in a single day. I moved carefully until the doors of the locomotive opened and the pilot held me at gunpoint. "Freeze! Put your hands behind your head woman." "Okay, I surrender! Please, I don't want any trouble!" "What's that light around your neck? Are you a fucking slave???" "Look, it's not what you think, I've been through a bad day." "Like I give a shit. Get on your knees, slowly." "I'll come down and join you. If you try anything, I'll shoot you. Do you hear me, bitch?" I was bound to act quickly, the second he lost his focus, I had to get rid of him. My gun was still safely tucked into my breastplate. It was him or me and my choice was already made. The second he looked down at the crate I drew my revolver and dove forward. I aimed at his head and blew it off with a clean shot. That was my last stunt for the night, I was done, I just wanted to go home. I went into the train control room. I started looking at the dashboard until my eyes caught a map hanging on the wall that was not unknown to me. It was the map of the Boston area, my home... The terminal that controlled the steering system was running on voice recognition. "New destination, Boston, Massachusetts. Avoid the main roads, take the safe lanes." "Processing. ETA: 3 days." Now I could sleep peacefully. I slept like a baby in the driver's seat. I was so dead tired, my body needed a good break. I had managed to find a roughly cozy position where I put my dirty feet on the dashboard. They also required some care and attention. I was awakened by the sun's rays coupled with the railroad tracks' rattle. Outside, Katy was looking at the landscape, sitting cross-legged on some crates. She found a sniper rifle, the smart one! I joined her to formally introduce myself: "Hi sweetie! My name is Calista. You seem to be feeling better, I'm so relieved! It's safe now, we're going to my place in Boston, is that alright for you?" Katy didn't answer me. Instead, she stared at what I still had around my neck. I had completely forgotten about the collar, slave life habit... But this little girl was able to take it off! I sat down in front of Katy. She pulled a black rectangular object from her pocket and connected it to the collar. I moved my head slightly away to let her work some magic. After a few seconds, I heard several beeps and the pressure on my neck stopped. Katy took the collar and threw it into the wastelands we were traveling across. "Thanks Katy, my guardian angel!" She threw herself at me and kissed my forehead. I hugged her back. We had helped each other. I saved her life earlier, Katy saved me from being a slave. Maybe it wasn't a coincidence that we met, maybe our destinies were meant to be the same. The three days of traveling flew by. I learned that Katy was mute, about half my age, a terrific markswoman with her rifle, and that she loved to venture out. I identified with her a lot, without the slavery aspect. The train had stopped under a station in Goodneighbor. We had gathered all the supplies from the train stored in a backpack. I got off first, and offered my help to Katy. "Take my hand, sweetie!" She pointed her finger at my bare feet. "Yes I know, I have no shoes and I couldn't find any on the train! Just hand me yours, I'm sure I can fit in them!" Even though Katy couldn't talk, she was very smart and very sassy. She apologized in her own way, making a heart with her fingers. "How funny darling... Mocking a barefoot woman... You're lucky I like you! Besides, we've arrived! Are you ready to discover my place?" I was so excited to get home, I took Katy's hand and started running up the station's stairs. "Come on cheeky girl! Let's see if you can keep up with a woman wearing no shoes!" She wasn't the only one who was clever at being sassy, I could be a little bitch too. And I had a lot more experience than Katy in this department. I took the longest bath of my entire life. The dirt I had accumulated over the past week required a good hour to wash off. Katy was reading vintage comics at the counter. Until something unexpected happened: "Well, look who's early on our schedule!" Wiecek had just arrived, I rushed into his arms. I was happy to see him again, and why I had fought so hard to get back to Boston. Because in the end, when our arms were around each other, all the worries went away. We had a lot to catch up on. I first made the introductions between him and the little girl I had rescued a few days ago: "Wiecek, this is Katy. Katy, this is my boyfriend Wiecek. To make it short, I met Katy when I came back to Goodneighbor. She was sick so I brought her back to my place to take care of her." I was still reluctant to tell Wiecek the whole story, I had to tell him about my findings during that night before I was abducted. "Katy honey, can you go play in the bedroom? I need to talk to Wiecek." She pointed dubiously at the room behind me. "Yes, please. I'll tell you about that life another time, okay?" "Calista, you don't have to take the kid away, I wasn't planning on sticking around anyway." "Oh, don't you dare say that to me! I need to tell you everything I've been through this week first." We sat down in the kitchen. I made myself some tea and explained my recent events to Wiecek: "The robbery went well, I had evidence to prove the cartel was involved in the slave trade. That was before I got into a fight with Isabel. She beat me up and turned me over to her slave-trading friend where I ended up tied up on a train. I was forced to struggle for a whole day to get out of that hell. Katy was there, we saved each other. It took us three days on a different train to get back to the Commonwealth. That's it, you know the full story, more or less. What about you, why did you come sooner? Are you going on a trip?" "Wow, that's a heck of a ride! But it now explains what happened this week. You created a monster. This chick, the Queen as she called herself, got into an argument with Liemanto over what happened to her. And guess what, she killed him. Mykola too. Luckily I wasn't with them at the time. I didn't hesitate, I sold the house to the mayor and got the hell out of Diamond City." "He wanted to play in the big league, he got what he deserved." "Damn it Calista, can you think any better? The cartel is gone, and we're next on her hit list! Especially you." I took his advice and sat down to think this through. "Great, I'm going to enjoy breaking you, slave. Soon, you'll be my little pet. Let's see what's behind those rags." I was in bad shape, I had to do something. By stripping me, she would find the gun I had stashed and I wouldn't have a chance to get out of this mess. I couldn't let that happen. I gathered my last strength and hit her ears with my palms. It was enough to throw her off balance. I drew the gun hidden in my pants and shot her twice in the stomach. "Back off bitch, don't touch me!" I hurriedly grabbed her remote, I've had enough electroshock for a while. The raider boss crawled to a wall, squeezing her stomach. I held her at close range, with the remaining bullet in the revolver. "Damn, hurt by a fucking slave. I was too reckless..." "Any last wishes before joining your buddies?" "Yeah, I hope you suffer you filthy slave! Someone will get you, remember that." "And he'll face the same outcome as yours, bitch." The car now pacified, I searched the other booths. I hit the jackpot with one of them. A couple of stimpaks (I could use one right now), a metal chest piece, metal leg wraps and a sniper rifle that used .50 caliber ammunition. With this equipment, no raider was ever likely be able to resist me. I also found some pants and a knife. Damn and obviously no shoes in my size, it would have been perfect... I geared up with all the equipment, tied my hair and opened the next doors. I was ready to fight, despite the collar firmly tightened to my head. "Let's go, bring it on!" The landscape had changed, we were now in a dry area. The sun was even hotter in the afternoon. The raiders had set up a small camp where they discussed and ate. I could see them from my spot, hidden behind cargo crates. I apologized for ruining their little party, but I needed some practice targets to train my new toy. The sniper rifle did fearsome damage. Even with chest protection, the raiders fell in one shot. I didn't bother aiming for the head. While I was fighting, there was another fight a few cars away, between a convoy of trucks and the locals on the train. I recognized the symbol on one of the vehicles, Gunners. Were they trying to take over the train too? I didn't care, I eliminated the last survivors and jumped on the truck. I came back on the train, killing every raider that blocked my path. It had become too easy, but the bullets were running out. I took the high ground, as the next cars could only be entered from above. It was time for the big dive. All the raiders were dead and I emptied my last magazine. I only had the revolver hidden in my breastplate plus the knife. I prayed for the collar not to react in the water or I was doomed. I reached the ledge. I was so filthy that the water didn't clean me. Luckily the collar was a real little technological gem, nothing happened. I was starting to get exhausted from the whole train ride, but I still had a few more cars to go. The last cars were not occupied. Maybe because of the Gunners' assault ? It didn't matter, I still had a bit of walking and climbing to do. I stepped onto the ladder of one of the cars to get a view from the top. I was almost there ! I could see the locomotive, three cars away. The catch was that I noticed a man guarding the door to get inside. He seemed to have a long melee weapon, I had a knife. The odds were not on my side but I always liked being the underdog. The fight began. I managed to dodge his first heavy blow by ducking. The raider was fast and agile, I needed to match his level to beat him. But first, I had to get closer to bring my knife within reach. I tried to stab him in the throat, the raider countered my attack with his STOP sign. He thought he had the upper hand on me, that he was going to crush me like the lowly slave that I was. All it did was make me willing to do everything to take him down. I used my knife stuck in his melee weapon to kick him in the balls. This was enough to destabilize him. I had no qualms about playing it dirty, especially since I was at a disadvantage fighting barefoot. I turned this weakness into a strength. To finish off the staggering raider, I jumped on him, shoving the knife into his chest. Gravity added to the train's speed finished the job. Fuck him. The train had slowed down and then halted completely. I had reached the last car before the locomotive. Inside, I found some rounds for my revolver, finally! The day was ending, I didn't know where I was, a transit station maybe? I heard noise coming from outside, primitive shouting. The last raiders would soon meet Calista the warrior. I discretely walked towards the place where the noises were coming from. Oh my God... The raiders had formed a circle and beaten the slaves to death. What was wrong with them? I was irritated, no one deserved to die like that. I only had 6 bullets and there were about a dozen shitheads in the ring. Maybe the station had some heavier stuff to clean up the area. I retraced my steps and found my happiness inside a cart. "Well, well... That should do it, hehe." I moved with the minigun towards the raiders in the circle. When they saw a threatening slave girl with a heavy weapon, they started to hide. The bold ones wanted to attack me and that was their last mistake of their pathetic existence. "Taste my wrath you bastards!" I fired until I ran out of rounds. This is what happened when a barefoot woman had a vendetta against raiders. They were all dead. I dropped the minigun and joined the circle. As I walked among the bodies, I heard a voice coming from a wagon. "Hey! Is anyone still alive? Please come or she will die!" I got into the car. Inside, an enslaved man was kneeling down and handcuffed. He was so tall that he was almost my height while on his knees. "Holy crap! Are you okay? It's clear outside!" "Thanks sister! Untie me and grab Katy in the back, we need to get out of here! She's the only one who can get our collars off." I didn't notice her, but she was the girl in critical condition. We had to act fast. I took the handcuffs off the giant. He watched outside while I dragged the little girl towards the car doors. The man helped me off to climb down. Not far away, a pack of raiders stormed their way into the circle. "Looks like we have company. Quick, grab Katy and run to the orange wagon! I'll hold them off. Try to save her okay?" I heard the giant and the raiders fighting behind me. I sincerely hoped he would win, but now I was in charge of little Katy, who was barely breathing. "Hang in there kid, I'll get you out of this! Just keep breathing! Everything will be okay, I promise!" END OF PART 2

Another day later. I opened my eyes with difficulty, my head was aching. I had just come out of a two-day coma and the first thing I heard was a car on metal tracks. I was still naked and tied up with a lot of filth on my skin. A well-known collar had been placed around my neck. Oddly enough, I hadn't missed it. When my vision regained focus, I looked inside the wagon. There were more slaves. The ones at the back were dead. The guy on the left seemed lost in his thoughts while the woman on the right was suffering from an unbearable pain in her stomach. The man standing was the only one who didn't seem to be affected by anything. When he saw me raising my head, he approached me. "Holy shit! You're still alive! Let me help you get those ropes off." "Th... thank you." "They must have really hated you to leave you naked with us. Check the car's back if you can grab anything that fits you. It's not like they'll mind, poor people... We'll talk after." I moved towards the bodies, I had some difficulty to regain my balance. I was sorry to do this, but I had to dress up a little. One of the women had some ragged clothes that fit me. Pants and a linen strip to cover my breasts were quite enough. On top of that, she had managed to hide a bobby pin in one of her pockets, that was going to be useful. I felt better despite the hunger and thirst. We had to get out of here. "Okay, do you know where we're going? Can you fight?" "Mmh. I believe the train is heading south. I heard the raiders talking about a place called Miami." The woman didn't seem to be in pain anymore and joined the conversation. The other guy was still in his world of thoughts. "I'm so scared, I don't want to die!" "Hey, calm down woman, I have a bobby pin to open the car. We can escape!" "We don't know how to fight, but if can slow down the train, we can flee. I'll help you open the door, you'll be on your own afterwards." The man helped me open the car's sliding door. I was not expecting to see such a beautiful landscape with an extreme fear of the void that stood below our feet. I had the man's support while the other girl was stunned, as was I, by the scenery and how fast it passed by." "Alright, good luck woman! Try to catch the Midnight Express. It's a prisonword for... escape. I hope it will stop around here." "Thank you, I will try my best." I followed the small platform that led me to the train's rear. A ladder was there. I used it to climb up and therefore jump from car to car, hoping not to encounter any raiders along the way. From the car tops, I did not see any raiders. I jumped carefully, I tried not to exhaust myself too much, my body was quite weak. I had to find something to feed myself and something to fight with. I heard some noise ahead so I lay down. A raider was sitting in the chair, taking a good nap thanks to the empty beer bottles. I was about to make this one permanent. I grabbed her from behind, chocking her to death. I was pissed off, I had a grudge against all those slave raider bastards. She was the first to die and she wasn't going to be the last. I would wipe out all those scumbags until the train stopped, or I would die trying. She was guarding a wagon with supplies in it. Water next to a duffel bag. Inside, canned food and a revolver with three bullets left. I would only use it as a last resort. However, a sledgehammer caught my eye. I deserved a little snack break before trying this new tool on the raiders. The next car was filled with several raiders. I hadn't been detected yet and I was going to take advantage of it. One of the men saw an angry shadow, armed with a rather heavy sledgehammer. He screamed in fear. Too bad the railroad tracks muffled his voice. I used the sniper rifle from my previous encounter to take some raiders from the car with the boat. When I ran out of bullets, I picked up the sledgehammer and kept going. The adrenaline was flowing through my veins, I was unstoppable, just like that raider girl felt when she received my melee weapon in the belly. I noticed a zip line on the roof of that car. I decided to use it to quickly reach the train's front end. There were no other raiders left at the moment, so I was sure I wouldn't get shot at when I was coming down. I was unleashed. The drug gone from my body had awakened my full capabilities. After my little zip line ride, the next car was blocked by an endless amount of crates. I had to jump on the iron bars that were sticking out on the right side of the train. I wasn't afraid, I knew I was going to make it. I arrived in a car made of containers. Some were used for storage, others as resting places for the raiders. This gentleman was going to die in his sleep, I spared him from worse. He had a rifle and ammunation that would be very useful in my quest for revenge. A small wooden staircase led to the next containers. I used it as a hiding spot to eliminate the patrolling raiders, starting with the one holding a missile launcher on the car's top. What the hell was that creature? A huge kind of bear was sitting in a cage. I was going to need more firepower to kill it and move on. I knew where to find that kind of power. I managed to climb onto the wagon top and retrieved the missile launcher from the raider's body. Three missiles, that's what this mutant creature would eat. "Say hello to my little friend!" Maybe I went a little too hard. The rockets killed the creature, but the car would soon go off the rails too. I didn't hesitate, I jumped down and ran for safety the fastest way I could. After a few moments, there was a small explosion and the rear cars came apart. At least, my fellow slaves companions would be able to escape, I wished them luck. Not every raider was an idiot. One of them had managed to set up tatos (a mixture of potato and tomato), corn and mutant fruit crops. When you lived on a train, you had to be self-sufficient. I didn't know what was waiting for me in the next closed car, I took some food before going through the doors. More raiders, what a surprise! They were chatting in the bar carriage, paying barely any attention to the barefoot slave who had them in her crosshair. I had enough bullets left to send them to the next world. That was their fate, for each and every one of these scums. With the bar cleaned, I kept advancing. It had to happen. The car's boss emerged from one of the booths with a remote control and activated it. My collar made a clicking noise before I received an electric shock that made me scream and lose my weapon. "Where are you going, slave? You should have stayed with the others. I'll make you pay!" She pressed the remote until I was on the ground, unable to resist from the electric shocks that were affecting my entire body. "So you're the rebellious girl I've heard about. Like every slave, they need to understand their rightful place. Luckily for that, I have this remote and you have that collar around your neck. Now that you seem cooled down, I'm going to molest you." END OF PART 1
