View File Custom footsteps sounds, for better immersion Ported from two Skyrim mods: "High Heel Footstep Sounds" by Indrisblake "Heels Sound" by ybsj520/ApoKrytia Sound resources by prm339 (Since 1.1, sounds files are slighty changed by me, due to synchronization) What this mod does: There's two new footstep sets: "_modjc_HighHeelsSound" - normal "_modjc_HighHeelsSoundClicky" - more "clicky"; it can be annoying "Clicky" option is already applied to sequin and red dresses, and normal option is added to the rest of the vanilla heels. Mod also adds two rings - "HHRing" and "HHRingClicky" - so you can have HHSound on outfits you want. Mod works for NPCs too. How to obtain HHRings: 1. Open console (`) 2. Type "help HHRing 0" 3. I expect everyone has locations that they generally try and avoid. Big John's Salvage. Quincy Ruins. Murkwater Construction. One of mine is Revere Beach Station. Not the station so much - I can do that on auto-pilot - but the raiders camped outside on the broadwalk. They're tough, and well placed and difficult to sneak up on, and the fast travel point drops you right into the middle of them. On this occasion, the problem is amplified by my having a new toon. Poindexter is an uber-nerd build, max Int and End ("If nothing else he can take a beating") and some points in strength. He's fun to play, but he's not the combat monster that Debs was and he keeps getting in over his head. In consideration of that tendency, and the fact that this is his first visit to Revere, I'm taking thing nice and slow. I come in from County Crossing. I'm working on getting Preston's perk, so Mister 1776 is tagging along. I work round the back of the beachfront shops, killing the two girls in the apartment over the snack-bar (and now I feel like a serial killer) and then I work my way down the row. There's couple of raiders watching the next alley down. Without blitz, I can't kill them without raising a fuss, but I eventually manage to get them dead and run off into the night leaving the other raiders to throw grenades at shadows. Or possibly Garvey; it's hard to say for certain. I wait for the excitement to die down a little, and then go snooping off again. I shoot out a searchlight and I'm just wondering if I can get away with a more direct approach when I turn a corner and run straight into a suit of power armour, batteries and angry raider most definitely included. I give it all I've got, and sadly reflect that I'm going to need to do some work if I hope to do more than scratch his paintwork with my dinky little serrated switchblade. Then he gives it all he's got... "Fuck! Fuck! FUCK!" Nerd rage triggers and since I don't think I can kill him quickly I use the slow time to best advantage by legging it, spamming the stimpack button as I go. I get out of his line of sight and hide, once again waiting for the fuss to die down a little. Power amour boy is going to need some thinking about. Anyway, I head down toward the far end of the row, and that's when a possible solution presents itself. At the end of the road, there is a Stupid Of Supermutants (I hereby poclaim "stupid" to be the official collective noun for supermutants) plodding along the road. At first I duck back to let them move on, but it seems they're patrolling for some reason that probably makes sense if you're a supermutant. And so my plan is formed. I fire a 10mm round at one of the mutes then turn and run. back up the ways I pop my head out of an alley and snap another one at a raider. "Hey! Over here!" and then pull back, run back away from the mutants and raiders both and wait for all hell to break loose. I'm still waiting a couple of minutes later Preston "Hahaha" Garvey comes trotting back. Surely he can't have killed all those mutants single handed? Well, as it turns out, no he can't. It seems that he had a bit scuffle with them, got knocked on his ass and when he recovered he came back to see what i was doing. The mutants have forgotten all about him (let alone me) and apparently I ducked back too fast for the raiders to work out where I was. There's nothing worse than thinking of a clever plan only to have it fail because the other participants were too stupid to be played for fools. So, let's try this again: back down to the end of the road, fire a potshot at the stupid, another one halfway back up the road to make sure I still have their attention, and then I run though the alley, and through the middle of the raiders on the broadwalk. I don't bother trying to shoot anyone this time, I'm too busy running for dear life. At the end of the row, I duck down behind the fallen cola machine and examine the result of my kiting. This time there seem to be a number of explosions going off. I can't see the source, but there are regular shock-waves coming from one of the side alleys. If the plan hasn't worked then Preston is giving an uncommonly good account of himself is all I can say. Eventually the fuss dies down again so I sneak on back to see what carnage I have wrought. Not much, on first glance. There's even a raider still alive firing into the the cafe/amusement joint that the raiders seem to use as a clubhouse. I poke a few holes in the raider, then stick my head into the cafe and find myself nose-to-navel with the mutant he was shooting at. I stab the mutant as well (wouldn't want anyone to think i was playing favourites) and then find another member of the stupid upstairs. Slice, slice, slice. All in all that seemed to have gone quite well. So why is my compass still showing [DANGER], Will Robinson? Well, it turns out that I missed one. Out in the lifeguard's hut there's a legendary butcher. Probably he was thinking about mixing blood and sand so he could play at sandcastles and didn't notice the shooting and bleeding and dying going on behind him. I suppose if you're a supermutant you probably get used to that, to be fair. Taking due note of his "Legendary" status I pop some psychojet and bufftats, along with some med-x. I won't bore you with a blow-by-blow account; suffice it to say I ended up chugging a quantum as well before the brute finally fell over. And what do I get for my trouble? A sprinter's metal shinguard and an unwanted dependency on psycho. Oh well, it was still more fun than doing the raiders myself. And that was pretty much it. The cafe was filled with dead raiders, most of them probably taken out by a suicider who I didn't know was there until I found his scattered remains. Power armour guy was dead in an alley, but seems to have taken out three or four mutants before he fell. Oh, and there's another mutant out back, apparently auditioning for the lead in a remake of "Tommy". I shoot the deaf, dumb, blind mutant in the back. That'll teach him not to play with his mean pin balls... So now I'm wondering just how big that stupid was. I mean there must have been eight or nine of them by the time I add up all the bodies. Plus bits of suicider all over the place. I mean what did I do? Did I interrupt the Revere Satellite Array annual works picnic or something? Revere Beach Station. It's never going to be my favourite place, but at least it's never dull.

Well, I finished the MQ, ran a few follow-on missions for the Raliroad, wiped out the L&L gang (anyone we know?) and decided that there wasn't much to do once the MQ was over. Time for a new char. The last one was a sneaky sniper. Ever since Oblivion my philosophy has been that if they're hitting you, you're doing it wrong, with the rider that if they can't see you, they can't hit you. So I tend to use Endurance as my dump stat - frequently Strength and Endurance both. My characters are invisible glass cannons. That doesn't always work in F4. There are some places where fast travel or just loading a new part of a dungeon will drop you straight into combat. "Defend the Settlers" can be awful for this: I fast travelled to Outpost Zymonja one time to find myself looking down the barrels of a half dozen super-mutant warlords. That was tricky... So, this time the plan is to go to the opposite extreme. I see a lot of posts saying Endurance is useless or that the End perks are useless. So I thought I'd build a character around it. In point of fact, she's got 10 each in End and Str with the remaining points and the SPECIAL book being enough to get Idiot Savant from Luck. Everything else is at 1. It's a completely different game. For one thing, you can make mistakes and live through them. Grenades are bad, but not individually fatal. Bloodbugs smart, but then I whap them with a security baton and they fall apart. USAF Olivia posed a problem early on - I could charge down the minigun wielding boss and kill him or her (can't remember now) but died anyway for some reason. Solution to the one turned out to be to let Dogmeat occupy them and then charge when they were distracted. I did the Corvega mission and spent a frantic half hour racing around gantries trying to kill all the snipers before they got me. Used a few stimpacks but took them all out hand-to-hand. (It seemed easier than charging the turret by the entrance). The perks are good too. Solar Power for an extra 2 Str in daytime; strong back - I can strip locations bare when I scavenge. Can't do so much with them (I am really missing local leader and scrapper, among others) but at least I have a well stocked workbench. And Ghoulish ... there's a mod on Nexus that makes it so Lvl 1 Ghoulish slowly heals radiation damage. Not that slowly, even: it get rid of about 5 a sec. This means that radiation heals faster than it damages for low levels (which seems to be how the perk was intended to work) but higher levels will still kill you. This is fantastic! I first used it when I blundered into the raider nest by Mystic Pines and got on the wrong end of a few grenades and exploding cars. I got them all sorted out, but was more dead than alive at the end. Then I found the outdoor pool that had been turned into a tarberry pit. I just jumped in the water and let the gamma rays melt those aches and pains away. Glorious. Since then, any rad source is potentially a source of healing, at least if I'm not in a hurry, and areas where radiation is a problem are fun to explore. Currently at around level 14. I've been travelling with Preston to get his perk, and he sent me to Somerville place. Going right up to the edge of the Glowing Sea doesn't bother me, I took a wrong turn on a collapsed overpass and ended up in Diamond City by mistake. Then Preston had a new mission and I took a detour to clean out Hangman's Alley. Picked up a switchblade on the way and modded it to be Serated. That thing is nasty. Heading south out of Diamond City again, I ran into a pair of Deathclaws apparently doing a territorial display. So I cranked up a laser musket to the max (maybe they're not so tough vs. energy, right? #wishfulthinking) and zapped the sod. Well, I got his attention. No discernible damage, but I had his undiveded attention. Lucky me. I ran, hid and tried again. Nope, just made him angrier. By this time I'm pretty much back at Diamond City, so I run for the gate and hope that DC Security will take care of it. No chance. They're all up on their gantries saying "you provoked it, you sort it out". Well, I tried. Got my head bitten half off (concussion but no death) retreated into DC proper, popped a stim and braced myself in case it followed. It didn't. So I'd escaped, but I had left an angry deathclaw in the DC foyer. I couldn't do that. I had to go back. So I did, and found it arguing the toss with a couple of security guys. This time I charged, hit VATS and remembered to use the critical I had ready. Result: thinly sliced deathclaw. Who'd have thought it. Back up the road a ways I found the other half of the double act and decide to cut the crap and just melee him. Well, it's not so simple without the critical, I found. That said, with buffjet and psycho and med-x - dead deathclaw. Two of them, hand to hand, before level 15. With a switchblade. I've decided I like this knife. I've decided I like this build

So last night I paid a return visit to Vault 95. I'd called in there earlier with Piper on my way down to the Glowing Sea. This time I'm trying to get into Cait's knickers. Hence the reason for the visit. I set out to teleport fast travel there, not even sneaking before I hit the "go" button. Then, when I'm looking at the loading screen and it's too late to do anything about it, I thought "hang on - isn't this the one that's heavily fortified by Gunners?" Well of course it is. And I arrived standing up. What joy. Although as it turned out, things didn't start too badly. We arrived, I dropped to a crouch and when all hell didn't immediately break loose, I began to think I'd got away with it. Then while I was pondering the best way to approach the problem, we started to draw fire. Quite a lot of, in fact. So I dropped the nearest Gunner boy, spent a banked critical blowing the leg off an assaultron, and then turned tail and ran hell-for-leather. Same old same old, really. I got myself into cover, or shielded by the brow of a hill at any rate, and dropped back into stealth. The top level stealth perk is supposed to make distant enemies lose sight of you - I'm not sure it isn't bugged because I've barely had time to think "what next?" when a head appears over the top of the hill. It's that damn assultron! Apparently I didn't drop it after all. I rectify this by emptying Deliverance (who calls a gun "Deliverer" anyway?) into the robot's chest cavity, and then I reload and spend a couple more rounds dropping another Gunner. Then I notice the robot is still twitching. No, it's not, it's the other assultron, the one I kneecapped, crawling over the hill. And suddenly there are three or four gunners firing energy weapons at me, and it's time to once again employ my favourite tactic: Run! So I hide behind another hill, pop the first Gunner to poke his head up and leg it once again. By this time I've managed to circle back to the other side of the vault entrance, and most of the pack are still trying to work out where I went. I cap one particular gunner who's being (briefly) far too clever for his own good, and then use a critical to take care of the sniper on top of the vault entrance. I can't target his buddy, so I sneak up the gantry intent on very quiet mayhem only to discover that the buddy is one of these damn shop window mannequins. I should have remembered that from my last visit. About this time, Cait catches up with me. Not sure what she's been doing, but I'm sure she's been having fun on her own. By my estimates there should be another three or four gunners that I've not picked off yet, but none of them are in evidence. I decide to enter the damn vault before the survivors turn up. I shoot the lone guard left on the vault entrance, take the elevator, pick off the gunner girl patrolling the hallway, shoot out the combat inhibitor on a Gutsy robot and get Cait to open the locked door and turn off the turrets. We're in! The rest of the vault is pretty straight-forward. The only real hitch is on a lower lever where one of the turrets hasn't got the memo and opens fire. By the time I've sorted that out, three senior gunners are firing from cover and I resort to number 2 favourite tactic: duck out from behind cover, shoot the nearest head several times, then duck back. Repeat until you run out of heads, or no longer have one of your own. Luckily in this case I get the former outcome. Apart from that, it all goes smoothly, and it's not until I'm back in the elevator with a much happier Cait in tow when I realise that all the gunners I didn't kill will be waiting at the entrance. Turns out I needn't have worried - nothing there but a modest pile of bodies. Wait, is that something twitching? Of course it is! It's the damn legless assaultron from the start, still trying to drag itself over to me. I put it out of it's misery before it gets close enough to do anything antisocial. Like explode. Then there's nothing left to do but loot the bodies and head back to Sanctuary to dump the accumulated junk from the run. Time to think about how I'm going to romance Cait now that drunkenly cavorting naked round Diamond City is no longer on the table. * * * And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is what I call playing Fallout! Runs like that are what I want from this game. It's taken me this long to get past the force-fed baby sentiment, but when it finally gets going, there's a lot of fun to be had here.

I've created an esm file for Four-Play: four_play_resources.esm. Like Four-Play itself it's a bit of a work-in-progress. It has keywords and magic effects for various purposes. Blocking Keywords These are intended for chastity belts, gags, and other items of apparel that block sexual access to various body parts. Currently we have: 4play_blocks_anal 4play_blocks_boobs 4play_blocks_hands 4play_blocks_oral 4play_blocks_vag 4play_blocks_penile Hopefully the names are self-explanatory. These won't actually do anything until I set up the animation information so that the framework can tell which animations need access to what body parts. Still, the keywords are there and can be used Locking Devices (Devious and Otherwise) This tells Four-Play not to remove a particular item of apparel during sex. This currently works and has a demo of sorts; in the test cell, Dr. Li is wearing a Postman's Cap marked with this keyword. 4play_do_not_strip Pregnancy 4play_creampie This is set by a magic effect that lasts for a short while after vaginal sex. Cum Effects Keywords set by magic effects that last for a short time after sex. These are intended to indicate where cum effects should be applied. 4play_cum_anal 4play_cum_boobs 4play_cum_hands 4play_cum_oral 4play_cum_vag 4play_cum_penile Active Sex These are set by magic effects while a sex act is in progress and should be removed at the end. The body part list may seem familiar. 4play_sex_anal 4play_sex_boobs 4play_sex_hands 4play_sex_oral 4play_sex_vag 4play_sex_penile Sexual Roles These tell you something about the role an actor has in a sex act. There are flags for rapists and victims, and separately for dominant and submissive roles, which allows consensual BDSM scenes. Additionally there are keywords for solo sex acts and a keyword to flag participants in any sort of sex act in case you just need to find sex regardless of the nature of the act. 4play_sex_dom 4play_sex_sub 4play_sex_rapist 4play_sex_victim 4play_sex_solo ; next release 4play_sex_actor ; next release Factions Unless anyone major objections, I'm going to deprecate the magic effect/keyword mechanism for sex acts and sexual roles and replace them with factions. It's less work at my end and easier to write conditions for at the users. This all started because I wanted to set up a 3-pole in Sanctuary. Only thing is: it seemed to take forever to persuade three baulky, rebellious slaves to stop what they were doing and attach themselves to the pole. And by the time I had them all there, it was getting dark. Well, no problem, I thought. Let's set up some construction lights. I have a mod that makes the settlement version actually emit light rather glow feebly, so I'll use them. Only problem is, my modded lights use the building power grid, and I wanted to set these up at street level. So I needed building if I was going to power these things, and there wasn't really one with enough room. Long story short, I ended up putting a new level over my commercial platform and running power lines up from the ground floor generator. I may have gone overboard a little on the lighting... Just a little. You know I said it was falling dark when I started this project? Well by the time I was done, I'd worked right through the night and a full on rad-storm, to boot! So when I was finally ready to stop and admire my handiwork, suddenly the sun was up and all the neon was pretty much wasted. So I hit the sack for 12 hours or so, in order to get the screenshots I wanted. Then, of course, I'm no sooner in position and ready to start, then I get an alert. Apparently those godless commies over at Sunshine Tidings Co-Op are under attack. Well, they'll just have to wait. If I fast travel now, they'll all travel with me and probably get killed. Actually, that's the point of the sleeping bags in the background. I wanted to be able to assign them bags so they stay when I was off protecting the Commonwealth from cute little raider chicks, but even that's a hassle if you're in a hurry. And anyway I still hadn't got my shots. The main problem with this setup is how to shoot it. I mean on the one hand, I absolutely want to show that lighting. The floodlights, the neon, the marquees, that's all there to maximise the humiliation of the girls on the pole. It's all there just to draw attention to them and their helplessness. But because there's so much of it, and it's all so expansive, by the time I've got it all in shot, the slavegirls end up dwarfed by it all. And the other major point of the exercise is ... Boobies! So I can't get too far away fro that either. Different angle, doesn't help as much as I'd hoped. The floor is way too close to flesh tone for a decent contrast. I like the feeling of looking down on the them, and it draws attention to the neon at least. Then again, it also draws attention the shortcomings in the neon. I should really redo those last two lines. Also, I seem to have put IOT [1] rather than HOT. I don't know what I was thinking... Also, this was the shot that made me realise that their feed were clipping through the floor. I mist see if I can do something about that. Anyway,boobies. I might try adding a couple more poles.Maybe a trader stall where the sleeping bags are, so we have someone around to take payment. Possibly a couple of couches to encourage my settlers to come and enjoy the show. Maybe experiment with some of Crazy's animation mats. I had some problems with them in the last release, but it might be fun to see some of the product being utilised in the intended manner... I'll see how I get on.
