  1. I've updated the base mod to v2.3 with compatibility for the latest DMM update - special thanks to KuroKaze78 for tracking down the updated hashes and sending me the updated ini file while I was busy held up with other matters. I've decided to mirror the base mod to lovers lab so that I can include a few pointers to various mods + threads for new users to get started. It's not supposed to be a comprehensive list, but if there are any other links that I've missed that people feel should be included for new users to see do let me know and I'll add them, and it's probably a good idea to link new users here (though the version on the Helix Mod blog is updated as well so anyone using old links will still find it). Changelog for v2.3: Updated costume mod + 3D Vision compatibility for DMM 2020-06-11 update Includes KuroKaze78's d3dx.ini updates: Includes additional shaders in the d3dx.ini so that fewer mods should require manual additions to this file Hair + fingernail mod support is now enabled out of the box Support for environment mods added desktop.ini files now ignored _id is now included for mods that depend on it Includes support for dumping full size (1920x1080) decobromide images in the frame analysis UI profile Note that because extra shaders are now included in the base d3dx.ini you may get some conflict warnings with certain mods. These warnings are mostly harmless, but can usually be resolved by updating the mods listed in the warning, or editing their ini files to remove the indicated ShaderOverride section.

It also includes support for NVIDIA 3D Vision, but for brevity I've removed 3D Vision specific instructions from this mirror - if you are a 3D Vision user, please refer to the instructions here instead. This mod by itself will not change any costumes - for that you will need mod packs available from elsewhere and extract them into the Mods directory. You don't need to restart the game after installing a new mod - just press F10 in game to load any new mods. Some mod packs ship with optional parts of the mods that are not enabled by default - look for any files or directories in the mod pack that is named "DISABLED something", and remove the "DISABLED" from the filename to enable it. Most of the more recent mods include keyboard shortcuts to quickly customise them directly from the game - refer to the instructions provided with each mod for details. If you are not sure where to start, the all in two mod pack is recommended as it easy to install, makes the white lace bikini nude for most characters (barring newly released characters that it hasn't been updated for yet), enhances the gacha scene and includes mods for a few other costumes by knight77 and myself. That pack uses knight77's textures + models, so if you like that style check out his thread for more mods. A lot of other mods require HI-METAL's skin textures to be installed - if you install a mod and you see big weird circles instead of nipples you need these. These are high quality and have multiple variations to suit different tastes, but may require a bit more effort to set up properly. Check out Minazuki's thread for many excellent high quality and highly customisable mods that use these. For even more advanced mods that add cool features like mix n' match, check out KuroKaze78's Costume Customizer and Minazuki's Swimsuit Swapper. For everything else, check out this forum and follow along with news posted in this thread in particular. If you think you have what it takes to create mods yourself and would like to learn how, you absolutely need to start with this video. Installing Extract the contents of the zip file to the game directory. In the launcher (not the game), open settings (2nd button from the top) and change everything to the left-most option (lower quality options are known not to work). Hotfix v1.8 Fixed pink fingernails Added another missing costume shader Update v1.9 3DMigoto updated to 1.3.14 to facilitate more advanced modding Now automatically saves the costume & shadow settings on exit/reload. Ctrl+Alt+F10 will revert to the default settings and reload. Key bindings are no longer processed while alt+tabbed out. Frame analysis now has several "profiles" that can be switched with - by default only skin and costumes are dumped to make blender imports faster. Press Ctrl+F8 (in hunting mode) to enable/disable dumping hair and fingernails, or switch to dumping UI textures instead. Frame analysis will no longer dump out modded meshes to make it a little easier to import meshes into blender when a costume mod is active (If you want to reimport a modified mesh you should be importing that directly from the mod, not a frame analysis dump). Auto-convergence has been updated - the popout bias will be automatically saved in the d3dx_user.ini, and the auto-convergence HUD will show the current convergence value as well. There's a bunch more changes under the hood, so it may behave slightly differently to before. 4. I've updated the modpack to v10 to fix the Gacha Demist mod (sorry for the delay - I've been busy with real life). I also took the opportunity to improve its scene autodetection, meaning the mod will not flicker on and off as much as it used to when taking photos from the second photoshoot location in the bathroom. The mod will now also respect the F2 costume mod enabled setting, and you can now also force it on or off regardless of all else with Ctrl+Shift+Alt+M (however, note that if forced on outside of the bathroom it will add a pink haze to the rest of the game, and it will intentionally reset back to autodetection when restarting the game or pressing F10). Additionally, I've added the _id folder to this modpack so there is one less thing for users to hunt down and install in future. As usual, the updated modpack can be found attached to this post:
  5. Today's update changed the fully awakened version of the Naked Summer outfit (seams are transparent with the x-ray gizmo now, and they reworked some of the mesh around the collar and skirt). I've updated the above mod with the new hashes and indices.
  6. Here's an addition to the Mod.ini that will allow this to also work with the fully awakened variant - feel free to include this in your mod @minazuki: Last Updated: September 19
  7. Fiona + Hitomi Senran Kagura Tracksuit (Fully awakened version only!) I don't think I saw anyone do this one yet, so here you go. This mod is only for Fiona and Hitomi's fully awakened version of this costume - Marie's variant is not included, and this will not work on the non-malfunction versions. Works well with the black fan and in stereoscopic 3D, as those with the required 3D monitors can see in the above screenshot 😉 Fiona Hitomi Senran Kagura Tracksuit Awakened by ausgeek.7z Shift+X: Shirt (4 variants) Shift+Z: Bra Ctrl+X: Pants Ctrl+Z: Panties
  8. Close, but it's compute shaders, not custom shaders. In the overlay these refer to shaders the game uses and are displayed to keep track of your progress while hunting them, and we try to stick to the same abbreviations elsewhere (any exceptions are historical baggage). Custom shaders on the other hand refers to any type of shader that has been injected by 3DMigoto (regardless of shader type) that was not originally provided by the game (i.e. not just a shader from the game that we've modified, but rather an entirely new shader that didn't exist in the game without 3DMigoto. An example of a custom shader used in DOAXVV is the help and notification text compute+vertex+geometry+pixel shader combo). There are also GS=Geometry Shader, DS=Domain Shader, HS=Hull Shader and RT=Render Target that only show up when relevant - for shaders they only show if the game uses that type of shader (e.g. if you see HS and DS you immediately know the game is using tesselated geometry, likewise if you see CS you immediately know the game is using compute shaders (e.g. this game uses them as part of it's deferred rendering pipeline and for tile lighting) and if you see GS the game is using geometry shaders for some purpose (such as instancing). In 3D Vision modding the appearence of these in the overlay indicates that the game will be more involved to mod than usual and provides a vital clue as to where we may need to look. Buffers & render targets are always used, so those ones only show while hunting that specific type of object to keep clutter down when you aren't interested in them.
  9. The malfunction versions won't work without fully awakening the SSR*, but all the ones in the normal screenshots should work. Which in particular aren't working, and how are they broken? * alternatively, knight's version has something similar to the malfunction without requiring it be fully awakened.
  10. 3DMigoto Blender Addon updated for Blender 2.80 https://raw.githubusercontent.com/DarkStarSword/3d-fixes/master/blender_3dmigoto.py I've updated the 3DMigoto Blender addon to work in Blender 2.80. Importing frame analysis dumps with or without poses works, as does importing and exporting raw buffers, merging poses, stripping non-numeric vertex groups, etc. Blender 2.80 has changed quite a few things, so it might take a bit of searching/googling to locate where things have moved. One change in particular that you should be aware of is that the default key binding to bring up the operator search menu (e.g. for "Merge 3DMigoto Poses" and "Remove non-numeric vertex groups") has changed from spacebar to F3. Please note that I haven't tested the vgmap functionality (used in DOA6) in Blender 2.80 as yet, nor has the DOA6 specific addon been updated. DOA6 modders should therefore stick to Blender 2.79 for the time being. I've been careful to maintain backwards compatibility, so the updated addon should still work fine in Blender 2.79 (just disregard the version warning), however if you should run into any problems the old version can always be found in the git history. Nagisa Wild Wind Normal + Malfunction variants Nagisa Wild Wind Awakened by ausgeek.7z I'm aware that a few others have already modded this costume (see here, here and knight's version here), but I needed something to test my addon with Blender 2.80 and wanted to make my own personal take on this one with support for the malfunction variant since it's one of the costumes I fully awakened. This requires hi-metal's skin (see #2666) and the malfunction variants are only available if you have fully awakened the costume (normal variants will work without that). Tamaki's version is not included. Shift + X: Top variants: Additional top malfunction variant (must be fully awakened with malfunction active): Ctrl + X: Bottom variants: Additional bottom malfunction variant (must be fully awakened with malfunction active):
  11. An offline mode being made publicly available while the game is still online and trying to make money is a bad idea because it facilitates piracy (are you seriously telling me you wouldn't use it to unlock Kanna and all the paid only SSRs, and that you speak on behalf of every whale that bankrolls this game?), which is against this forum's rule #7 and the moderators here were well within their rights to delete the thread. As it was the existence of the offline mode caused quite a stir on discord, with some users repeatedly posting about its existence, one moderator throwing in the towel because the same has allegedly killed other Gacha games in the past (I'm repeating what I've been told - don't ask me to name which ones, because I don't know) and the rest being quite upset. I don't know what the reaction was like on Japanese communities, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was similar. Once the game has reached end of life and is taken offline that's a totally different matter, and I don't really have a problem with people working behind the scenes preparing for that eventuality. But that should be years away - let's not accelerate the game's demise by releasing an offline mode prematurely.
  12. Version 2.2 of the base mod is out for compatibility with today's update: https://helixmod.blogspot.com/2018/03/dead-or-alive-xtreme-venus-vacation.html Technical: This was a continuation of the shader updates from December that added the gMaterialParam2 parameter - more shaders are now using this so presumably there was some sort of minor graphics update today (not that I can tell the difference). Let me know if there are any remaining issues after this update.
  13. PSA: To quickly get mods working again, edit the d3dx.ini, locate and uncomment (remove the semicolon from) these lines: ;[ShaderRegexShaderRegexEnableCostumeModsWildcard] ;shader_model = ps_4_0 ps_5_0 ;if $costume_mods && (!frame_analysis || $dump_modded_meshes) ; checktextureoverride = ps-t0 ; checktextureoverride = ps-t1 ; checktextureoverride = ps-t2 ; checktextureoverride = vb0 ; checktextureoverride = ib ;endif I'll push out an update for the base mod later with all the new hashes.
  14. The mod doesn't contain any textures - it's a modification to the parameters passed to the pixel shader, and it probably would work with other girls as well if someone wanted to extend it to cover them.
  15. Just a quick update for everyone here - one of the reasons you haven't yet seen a full nude mod is because the body mesh lacked foot and toe bones, leaving the modded feet limp, distorted or clipping through the floor. This is now solved in the latest version of my scripts (ignore the fact she is wearing skin coloured boots - this is a test of the bones, not the flesh) and you can expect an update to @vagonumero13's g1m tools in the near future to give this to everyone. Once that's out one of us will post instructions:
