  1. This is a non-essential request for discussion about something I doubt I am not alone in feeling. When modding, as I build my Modlist, I sometimes fall into brief bouts of concern. Some twizzles in my brain such as whether I forgot to check a box in a mod's Fomod installer or missed a companion mod to go with it. Such like this put me into a bit of a modding funk. How should I get past these concerns? Perhaps some other mod lovers on this forum can relate and give some advice? I ain't going crazy or anything, mostly my perfectionism kicking in mostly. You know that unsettled feeling you get when you see an ajar rug that is tilted or pressed up against a wall? Perhaps a smudge on a glass irks you? That is the kind of feeling I am getting.
  2. As question says above, in the future, I plan to have another computer. I have used Skyrim SE.exe Auto-Backup to save current Skyrim SE just in case. How would I go about moving over my modded Skyrim SE to said new computer?

  5. I'm posting this to try and bump up this topic every now and then as I update my modlist and to still receive advice since if left inactive long enough, this topic will just get buried. Feel free to ignore this topic if you don't wish to post anything. I just don't want to copy and paste a very similar topic over and over again.
  6. Well, I will admit I have far less time in Skyrim SE. The art style of Skyrim hasn't gotten old for me yet.
  7. Honestly, this is a non-serious post for me to unload some brainworms, more a discussion really. I see a lot of visual overhaul mods that have the main goal of editing and sculpting the heads and faces of various npcs in Skyrim. I'm not speaking of texture mods directly, those just take the base model and giving it a sort of beauty filter. All in all, skin texture mods preserve the initial design. It is a common occurrence that both skin and face mods tend to turn Skyrim's characters into ken dolls or barbie dolls. Sometimes, you can't even recognize npcs anymore unless you check their name and retrain your brain to remember. Why do people change the original design so much? I don't mind that some prefer the look, but why? I think the original base faces are quite good anyhow. Yes, I use skin mods; however, usually the mods I use simply bring the texture quality up to more modern standards. Hadvar is still Hadvar, just in 2k and/or 4k quality. Lydia is still Lydia, just given a texture upgrade. Again, people are free to like what they like, but when the skin of an npc is so glossy that they can blind you, kind of breaks the aesthetic of the game for me.
  8. The same as above. How do I get the animations to play? The character simply stand there naked doing nothing. I have Carnalitas, several of its submods and Character Body Overhaul. Is it load order or am I missing a step?

  10. The gist of this question are which popular mods such as Carnalitas sub mods are compatible with the most recent version of CK3? Second question, but this can be answered by itelf or together with the first one: What is the ideal load order for Carnalitas and its compatible mods?
  11. Would you say AI Overhaul is worth the compatibility issues? By NPC visual overhauls, does that mean texture mods like SkySight Skins and CBBE?
  12. I have ABC, just reading up on it. Will animations that aren't supported by ABC just not work or will they still work, but with less immersion/animation? I also have multiple BakaFactory edited mod. A bit of confusion involves the Animal SOS mod. There are many options in the FOMOD installer that aren't talked about in the mod's description. There is a version that doesn't need Creature Framework, something about original meshes, and extra options there. What is the process with Animal SOS, including the configs?

  14. As the question above asks, What is the current general mod setup for genital physics. I will have the check for confirmation, but I believe SOS has Floppy SOS functionally or that is the case for SOS-Addon-Futanari CBBE SSE. I know there are hdt smp config files for SOS too. Is that related to groin physics? There is also Baka's SOS Addon Patch for SE(SMP Collision). What is the census on all these genital physics mods, any I am unaware of?

I have always heard that it is best to have 4k textures for objects that a player will see often, like armor and skin textures. 2k is often recommended for most everything else for the sake of performance. Is the increase in quality worth it? 2k textures are pretty good already by themselves and the jump between 2k and 4k does not seem as noticeable.
