  1. Yes, it is easier that way, however, if you ever want to, say, tweak the values of the armor or if you ever find yourself converting an armor that has no "alternate", like the power armors, for example, which only exist in their unisex variant and if you just convert it you'll see dudes running around in curvy or skimpy female armor, you'll need to either edit the esp, which is a no-no, or create your own to add them to the world. So, it's just a matter of "it might be useful" rather than "you need to learn this".
  2. The way to do that is that, once you've made the conversión, you just need to package it using OutfitStudio and, since it replaces the mesh in the meshes folder, you just need the original esp file. Now, if you want to make your own esp, you'll need FNVEdit and/or the GECK to make it. Here you'll find a nice little primer for the GECK, so you'll learn the basics. It's a bit old, but the GECK hasn't changed much, so I figure it'll help.
  3. Ok. Don't panic. First, make sure that BodySlide and OutfitStudio are installed in the Fallout New Vegas folder. Now, you need to make sure that in the settings of both the reference skeleton has something like "steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data\Tools\BodySlide\res\skeleton_BoMo.nif" or the compatibility one. Check that first. Then, make sure that you're using the "CBBE_NV-1" or "CBBE_NV-1HH" as your reference. You need to select them in the "From File" and Browse to find them. They are in the "Slider Sets" folder.
  4. The only one that springs to mind is this one.
  5. Dunno chief. You might want to check the FO4 section of the Nexus. Remember that this is a port, so maybe you can check there and just place the textures in their proper place. Not sure if it'll work, but it's worth a shot.
  6. You can find a video tutorial here and the "official guide" here. Video is for FO4, but it's the same OutfitStudio that we use here, so the process is the same. If you want to get deeper into it, I got some tips that might help.
  7. You just install this after NVCS and make sure NOT to overwrite the skeleton.nif file.
  8. Alright, this is the vanilla version. It's...boring, to say the least, but that's the one that comes out of the can. This is the CBBE version that comes with the BodySlide port from the pinned thread. As you can see, not much changes, it's a bit more curvy but the magic is that it allows you to shift the curves as you like. This is what the BNB armor looks like. Ignore the texture problems on the model, if you will. As you can see, the author changed it considerably. For it is the 1950s casual outfit 1. And THIS is the CBBE conversion I did.
  9. @dekumain It wasn't a bother. And don't worry. I've started converting the BNB outfits, those that I thought were just vanilla resizers, into CBBE. I'll see when I can get them all done and I'll share them in the appropriate thread.
  10. You know what, I was wrong. Most of them modify the mesh, especially to show cleaveage and tit. So, they are different enough that it's not worthless picking which one you like. And what BodySlide does is replace the armor mesh in the Data folder with one modified to your chosen body shape, bigger ass or boobs, for instance. Or smaller.
  11. Yeah, the Pip Boy is not aligned properly with the arm shape. You can fix that with nifskope if it bothers you. And the wrist seam is always there.
  12. Can you give us a screenshot or something? What I can do is limited if I can't see the problem.
  13. You're still trying to build the bugged one. The one I sent ends in -NV, not -NVb.
  14. Yeah, no clue why that doesn't work, but here's a conversion of that same outfit. WC3F.zip
  15. This might sound stupid or condescending, so bear with me, but...have you actually built any of the outfits using BodySlide or did you just install everything? Because, and I can't be 100% sure without seeing the problem, that sounds like you just installed the CBBE body but are still using outfits that have not been converted to CBBE, and so the skin texture is all fucked up.
