Spot on, Eva ! The issue with PNG is that, as a lossless format, they're made for storage rather than sharing, and so are 5 to 10x heavier than good quality jpegs. And so if the servers are busy or the connection slow, the images will take a while loading. If you're interested about solving this but don't know how to get good jpegs, this tutorial (specially the part I) might interest you. 2
