Unfortunate children

Unlike rainy and windy the last few days, today is a very sunny day but very cold. I am lying on a deck chair on our beach writing this diary while my luvs and the children play on the shore.

My Fran was very successful in finding houses for rent for our workers and their families. Of course, it wasn’t easy to lower the rent with some landlords whose rent was overpriced but he did. You should see our workers when their wives, children, parents, and siblings arrive with Lidija and Sandra from the airport. We, the e.b. welcomed them and we all had tears in our eyes when we saw their assembling (both times). After common lunch in the cantina for workers, my Fran my Prince, and Ivy drove Hotel vans to their houses. Every foreign worker had a day off. Lidija and Sandra too.

Like every year we will be busy from the 20th of December till the 15th of January next year because of Catholic and Orthodox Christmases and New Year. Are we fully booked? Of course.

Mikey was sad and he cried about not going to night fishing under lamps with his grandpa anymore although my dad explained to him why; it's very cold and windy. My dad comforted him by taking him to the harbor to watch fishermen unloading their boats and buying him a hot chocolate afterward.

One day we had a visitor in the Hotel from my Prince’s hometown. It was a man who made a documentary about abandoned and unfortunate children intending to ask business people, various societies, and associations to donate money for the children's adoption. My Prince was very thrilled with him when he heard what he was doing and he treated him to lunch in our restaurant. Later on, after we saw a trailer from his documentary, my Prince managed to convince him to come to our house as our guest so we could learn more about it since he was busy with other obligations at that time. (Of course, he asked my Ivy and me if it was Okay with us). I will call him Zoran. So, when he came to our house, he was thrilled with our children. When we started to talk about his job, he made us cry telling us devastating news and how unsuccessful he was in finding the money for urchins (He had everything documented in pictures and on the papers). Nobody, literally nobody gave a single coin for unfortunate children. When he told us how some businessmen told him that if he asked them a money for dog shelters and dog adoptions, they would gladly give it, my Prince was soooo mad that he bumped hard our table in the living room with his fist that he broke it and he ran out to our beach to steam off. Of course, my Ivy went after him while we apologized to Zoran in his name and explained to him why he reacted that way. When my Prince returned, he apologized to Zoran for his reaction and said listening about unwanted children was overwhelming for him and that he could not listen about it anymore. He excused us and invited us into the kitchen for a very short meeting asking us if we as a family would donate some money for his project. We agreed and we decided to donate “XXX” sum of money. (I am not allowed to say how much money we decided to donate, but I assure you it is a lot). Before he told him about our donation, my Prince told him he would check on him, and if he lies, he’ll get him and make him suffer for playing with the lives of unfortunate children. Zoran said that all his business is transparent and he showed him other web pages and documentation about his project. After that, we escorted our guest and wished him the best. Then my Prince called Antonio and asked him to check everything about Zoran sending him everything he got from Zoran. After a few hours, Antonio called him back and said that Zoran was very clean and that no incident or any kind of affair was following him. The next day, he gathered e.b. in the Hotel and asked for financial support for Zoran’s project. We unanimously agreed and decided to give “XXX” a sum of money. He also called Mister “XXX” who said he will donate “XXX” amount of money to Zoran’s project account. Then he called Zoran and told him about what we did. He was very grateful. In the end, my Prince said he had only one request: he wanted a full report where was every single donated coin spent. If he spent the money on anything else but on the project, my Prince would hurt him badly. Zoran agreed.

When we arrived home, he took us and our children to “our café” for hot chocolate. They were sitting in his lap and we saw tears in his eyes when patting and kissing their heads. Yes, my Prince would never allow our children to be unfortunate. He will fight for them and provide for them as long as he lives. That is worth it for my Ivy and me too.

I like how united they are. They seem to be a very nice family. I liked the detail about grandfather ♥ it shows that he loves his grandson very much by taking him to another place so that he is not sad.
