Things are starting to move a bit, again

So, it's been quite some time, since there have been any new mod updates from me, but fortunately, it looks like this long pause finally might be over. For the longest time, I have now been researching the mechanic of making an NPC escort the player from point A to point be, with the NPC leading the way, but coming back and disciplining the player, when they lag behind. To achieve this, I reverse-engineered the mechanic used by Slaves of Tamriel in the mod of the same name. Kudos. But since in the said mod, everything happens in a controlled environment, I had to deal with circumstances that were new, like the journey being interrupted by a random encounter attack. When this happened, the scene got interrupted and never resumed. If I used the mechanic as an AI package, the NPC would often just teleport, leaving me behind. These hurdles now seem to be overcome, only one remaining, which is traveling through load-doors (which causes teleportation or freezing). But I can work around this by simply having the destination in front of a door, and then use a script to teleport both player and NPC to the other side, and start a new scene. This is the last part that remains to be tested, but as I will have a few days off next week, with some luck, I might be releasing a new mod, which I developed primarily to test this mechanic (which I need for my next A Perilous Inn update, so I don't have to rely onĀ  playeraicontrol, which is buggy, and also very incompatible with VR. It also seems more immersive when the player is forced to move by real motivators (beating), rather than having a magical force take over. In case you wonder how I prevent the player from simply running away, then this will be achieved through restraints, which will ensure that the player is always slower than their captors. If the player keeps resisting, eventually, they'll beat them to death. So the only option left is to play along.
So the new mod will revolve around Eola, the canibal. After you complete her quest and become Namira's champion, all you need to do is set her as the auction buyer in Submissive Lola Resubmission, fall into captivity and be auctioned off at Simple Slavery ++, whereupon the standard SLR events will take place, with the difference that Eola will take the lead and follow her own agenda, and the player will just have to follow. At first, I will just have her travel from one town to another, and at a later point, I will add quests, in which the player will have to aid her in her devious scheming. I'm not sure, how well I will be able to detect the various SLR subquests, when they trigger, so this might be an issue, which could either result in the quests being blocked until Eola arrives at a town, or I will have to abandon SLR and make this a standalone mod, only requiring SS++ for now. I intend to later evolve this into one of the AS framework adons, where Eola will buy the player at one of the Frostbite Clan establishments, rather than SS++. I have a complete and finished storyline of what will then ensue. Should be a lot of fun, but in the first version, there will only be travel between towns, maybe an event or two, if I can make it. The mod will be called: Mistress Eola.
When this is done, I will resume work on A Perilous Inn, hopefully finishing the third way of enslaving (spiked drink), which is almost complete, but the dialogue doesn't work for some reason. Then, I will replace the playeraicontrol mechanic with the new one, which I will probably incorporate in the AS framework, and make the AS framework a hard requirement for API, as another feature I want to implement in the coming update, is replacing the teleport to SS++ with a long walk, where the FBC huntresses will escort the player to the closest FBC slave dealership. It's hard to say, if I can make this in the coming brake, but it's not completely impossible.
This means there will also be a minor AS update, which will add the said escort mechanic, remove a skin color mismatch for the slaves of the Dushniki Yal caravan, and hopefully add a few interiors to some of the recently added smaller dealerships.
The next step is to create A mod which will continue the player's story, after they get into one of the dealerships as a slave. I want to make this a bridge between AS and any number of mods, which should be added gradually, hopefully not just by me, the first one being Mistress Eola. Then I will focus on further developing Mistress Eola.
When done with that, I will make either the Dushniki Yal Quarry mod, or a prison alternative mod of my own, which will also integrate with AS, as I am not very happy with the currently existing options. The vision for the prison alternative is such, that instead of just teleporting the player right into prison, they will rather first go to jail and await their trial, where they'll hear their sentence, and then will be shipped off to a dedicated prison. There will be two of those. One Stormcloak, and one Imperial. The exterior of the Stormcloak one is pretty much finished, as making exteriors is really fun, and I can do it even when traveling by train, for instance.
I'd like to add that if you like my vision, and have CK, scripting or other Skyrim development skills, or if you are a female voice actor, I would like to enlist your help in making this vision happen a bit sooner. In particular, I'd love to have a consultant available, who would help me overcome specific hurdles, willing to write scripts for my mods directly, on demand, and willing to explain, step-by-step exactly what they do, and how they do it, so I can learn myself. Endless, and often fruitless, googling of issues, unfortunately, still takes up something like 90% of my modding time.
So, that's it for now. Keep your fingers crossed, and, please keep in mind that though, the above is my plan and intent, I might get stuck somewhere right in the beginning, get frustrated, give up (temporarily), and not release any more updates this year. Practical (consulting) support will increase the chances of me succeeding. The period which I have reserved for this is between the 7th and the 14th of December. I will have to spend one or two days of this time on some work on my house, too, though.

That's an impressive endeavor. Sadly, I'm only just starting with my own modding attempts, so afraid can't help (at this time) beyond wishing you the best of luck.
