> Having tea in my office with Lidija and my Fran, and talking about recent events I came across this article. It hit me like thunder and made me cry. Those two aren't parents, they are selfish humanoid creatures who care for no one but themselves. Poor children suffer because they have unworthy of life parents. Their grandfather is my hero. I will talk to my luvs and we'll try to contact this family after checking their story, we'll help them as much as we can.

> The three of us can't imagine our lives without our children, especially my Prince who adores them and is addicted to them and will die if something happens to them and will hurt badly anyone who will try to hurt them. Yes, I am sad and angry because you hardly can read that someone abandoned their dog(s), but abandoning children is pretty normal nowadays.

It is very shameful. I don't know how people can do that and live with themselves. But it happens a lot and doesn't seem to bother them in the slightest. The only solace I can find in this is that there are much worse fates for children even than being abandoned. I don't think I need to elaborate since we all know.

I was debating showing this to you, but we are foster to adoptive parents with three that we started fostering then adopted.

In the US there are 63,815 children waiting to be adopted.  The cost for doing so is 0 as the state pays our lawyer and all court fees.   The state also provides healthcare (in our case a second health care carrier) and a monthly payment to defray costs.    However, this kind of adoption is usually because a parent(s) have lost custody and no extended family member has offered to take the children in.   That usually means the kids have seen or experienced some pretty bad situations.

To adopt a "healthy" child, or one that you want to select the race, sex, hair color, etc.  it will cost you up to $40,000.  It is estimated that there are 2 million couples waiting to adopt a child. *

*Caution on that number, the source for that number is a pro life source so that number is likely an exaggeration.   Anecdotal observations (i.e. no source) is around 50,000 based on conversations with people opting to go through foster to adopt rather than buying a child.

> Thanks for your insight. I know about tragedies and dramas which many children goes through like sex slavery, hard physical work, famine and so on and so on. I do not know how it feels to be abandoned, but I heard Prince telling me very sad life story of his father who was abandoned and grew up in the orphanage. I remembered I heavily cried every time he told me something from his father's life. Anyway, some animal kinds are better parents to their cubs than some human beings.

> Thanks, Steel ... Adoption in our country is very complicated and complex process. There are many heavy conditions one have to fulfilled before being able to adopt a child. We would never have a chance for one reason - although we can bypass the law and present our love triangle as  common living household the law request matrimony community of a man and a women which in our case is living in polygamy. Even if we could "trick" this part of the law, and adopt a child somehow, we would be watched by social workers that is more psychological harassing then helping the child to adopt to a new family. If they would discover our sex and love relationships, they would take the child away from us (what they do for far less things and offenses) and sue us. We are living in fucking stupid laws country.

> What pisses me off very much and makes me very sad in this is the fucking irrational law: if you abandon the dog (which has to be chipped with the name of the owner) you will go to jail and pay high penalty, but there are no legal consequences for abandoning the child. You see the paradox? Yes I became like my Prince. Although I love animals, this kind of stupidity is not acceptable.

Well that is stupid. Like saying animals are more important than children. I mean.... I can't even say it's that bad here. Yet anyway.

Hmm, I wasn't suggesting you adopt because there are so many considerations.   I was just making an observation that here in the US, we have many more people wanting to buy a child than want to help break some of the cycles of violence.    That, to me, supports your view that more people are worried about cruelty to animals than to people.

> I know you didn't, I only tried to give you very short note about adoption in our country as a comparison to yours :)
