And now the question:

We have

  • Submit (and variations)
  • Defeat
  • DAYMOL
  • Naked Defeat
  • Peril

Plus some mods with other objectives but having a secondary feature for "defeat" e.g. DCL.

Did I miss one ? ?

And all that sounds again like it could use a comparative blog post?

Edit: I think I count NDUN more like a feature mod for my list (and skip it like DCL), since it isn't primarily about defeat mechanics

Maybe. I tested most of the list above and only NDUN+Patches and Naked defeat worked without clusterfuck, glitches or unclear scenes. Best for continuous gameplay without constant debugging.

SL Defeat with some patches:

often failed after a while, got stuck or created unsolvable clusterducks, forced me to fall back to older saves and above all CTD and teleports to the center of Skyrim if SL scenes failed. Not all NPC get recognized. PC death loops are common. If a scene worked it was great, sadly it's as reliable as the Deutsche Bahn. Not reliable.

Maybe newest patches fix all this?

Submit:

Isn't that very old by now? Most scenes failed or it didn't recognize NPC for surrender. Not reliable.

DAYMOL:

Good chance for failed scenes or stuck or clusterfuck. Only tried it in combination with Defeat. Not reliable.

Peril:

Not tried, it's predecessor - I tried - often ended in unclear scenes and clusterfucks.

Yamete! V3:

Not tried, but the features sound great.

DCL:

Bloatware and bad SL filters. Not reliable. Any bugs in DCL are of course user error. Compatibility nightmare. Many features are either glitched or unbalanced.

SD+:

Actually the best defeat mod around if it wasn't so slow to start a defeat scene. In combination with RDO's calm spell it's a good secondary surrender alternative to NDUN and Naked Defeat, especially if it is installed anyways. Even calms exotic factions. Also comes with useful debug functions.

NDUN + Patches:

Flawless defeats, wasn't able to break it. The helplessness feature just rocks socks. Everything unrelated to it's defeat function can be reliably deactivated. The various Patches fix the worst glitches. Did I say the helpless feature rocks? Exotic factions of some custom mods need a patch to be recognized tho. SD+ defeat can be used if all fails.

Naked Defeat:

Still needs more testing, but that is possible via combo with NDUN without the need to use an extra profile. Has many features that make defeats interesting. Also Nymra knows what a good defeat mod should be like and works to make his visions a reality.

SLaVE:

Comes also with a defeat feature that worked well, although I tried it last when it was still SLaV. Nice consequences tho =D

After 4 years of various defeat mods, NDUN+Patches and Naked Defeat came out as clear winners. They are also game changers and allow for a continuous gameplay without the need of clusterfuck workarounds and stuck scenes debugging. Nothing worse than mods that add scenes with uncertain outcomes because of bugs and glitches.

With SD+ +RDO as fallback defeat I found my Defeat Dream Team.

If SLaVE is installed even more defeat options are available (with the right MCM settings management, means the right mod needs to be active for the defeat while SD+ is always an option, because it needs to be manually triggered).

Basically all mods posted here can be in one LO and work together or at least don't kill each other or cause constant clusterfucks or situations that force you to fall back to an older save.

On my 1200 hours game I had rarely situations that made a fallback to older saves necessary. Clusterfucks can't be completely avoided with complex LOs, but there should be at least always a workaround for a continuous gameplay.

? I've never read a universal defeat feature into NDUNs description - and skipped it entirely.

What ist SLaVe ? :classic_huh:

Only ingame - in combination with your beloved mods - can you tell if something works for you.

My Defeat choice where actually limited by what was available over the years.

Of course I started too with the SL Defeat + DAYMOL combo.

After I was fed up with all the glitched Defeat outcomes I changed to Submit and DCL.

SLaV was the first defeat that did what I needed.

After that NDUN became my defeat savior!

Dragonborn In Distress jumped in for some trials.

NDUN + Patches made it perfect to this day.

Might get replaced by Naked Defeat over time.

SD+ was/is always lurking in LO, especially in combination with DEC and SS+

?‍♀️ I'm stupid. Sure! SLaVe! (I blame the short night.)

My last game did very well with DAYMOL, it never bugged. ? I dropped Submit somewhere in 2015 and Defeat finally for good in 2017.

For the next game, I can't really decide between Peril or Naked Defeat. That's where a comparative discussion would be interesting. ?

By first glance, I see more dynamic and flexibility in ND, but that doesn't tell anything about bugs or stability.

Now, NDUN:

I've read the description again and would again not have guessed a defeat feature into it. :classic_huh:

Is it that "immortality" thing ?

Note to mod authors: MCM screenshots are always a nice thing. ... better than 10 lines of description :classic_unsure:

You used it as standalone? Nothing pervy in combination with it? I... I never even thought in that direction ?

THIS ☝️ would be so helpful ?

Yes, that should be the base of any good perv related defeat to prevent reloads or defeat/bleedout loops.

The interesting thing with NDUN for me is:

  • immortality followed by a defeat scene, prevents reloads or defeat/bleedout loop
    • immortality feature that is stable enough to keep going even if there are multiple defeats in a row
  • defeat scene that makes the PC friendly to all factions (for a while), so following defeat scenes don't get interrupted by still hostile actors
  • helpless feature that gets triggered if player is naked and unarmed
    • this in turn helps with situations where everything got stolen by NPC or if PC gets bound after defeat or ends up in a zap furniture
      • this also helps to give other mods that trigger if the PC is vulnerable to start their quests without causing a clusterfuck
      • also makes things interesting if the PC tries to fall back while approach mods have anyone in the cells full of friendly hostiles to their disposal.
      • for example:
        • pet collar
        • DEC
        • SLAC
          • creature approaches
          • SLdialogues might want to creature SD enslave player
  • Defeat scenes can be set to be happening on site instead of teleporting the PC somewhere else
    • this makes it interesting to find solutions to escape/continue fight/get stuff back/finish quest without running thru the whole of Skyrim back to the quest dungeon
    • a good excuse to trigger a SD+ defeat if escape isn't possible
    • great for SLUTS Pony scenes
    • great for a bound PC that is only trying to reach the nearest town to get some help with that crippling devices
    • local enslavement to the actors that defeated the PC (via DEC or manually via SD+)
  • Outcomes like SS++ can be triggered that way too
    • either directly via defeat
    • or later via DEC
  • After the defeat the NDUNhelpless PC can have small talk with those bandits, either via combo TDF prostitution + NFF recruiting one of the now friendly hostile actors
  • If you like risks (DEC + slaroused do the countdown) you can even ask those friendly hostiles if they help you with your bondage right on the spot (but hurry, if they get aroused enough they might enslave you via DEC or rape you via approach mods (+DEC), causing the PC to suffer from additional devices)
  • might even force the PC to ask devious followers for help with deals as result
  • makes it possible to solve quests by just running around naked (but beware the DEC!)
  • Goes also well with SLS after you get stripped of all your belongings, basically the PC becomes a fucktoy everywhere she goes (or to be more precise if she stays in one cell for too long)
  • goes well together with SLAC, because a naked and probably bound PC that sneaks it's way out of the dangerzone can fool DEC (DEC doesn't approach if PC is sneaking and undetected) but SLAC can interpret sneaking as invite
  • Frostfall + NDUN + SLS = if the NDUN defeat outcome is a ZAP furniture outside of a dungeon she might freeze to "death" and ends up at SS++ if she can't escape fast enough or a follower triggers sexytimes, which in turn also frees the PC from a furniture
  • NDUN + TDF-P + NFF + DF = if the PC has no devious follower yet and ask a (example) recruits a bandit after defeat for help you can imagine how that goes >;D
  • more Details will be found in every blog page as soon as I have created all categories. Reasons why I choose certain mod combos will be clearer then.

@Corsec

Help! So many patches in the NDUN support thread.

What patches should I link to with the lowest chance of users getting hurt?

The "NDUN - All Corsec Fixes 05_10_2020" one. It merges all my NDUN edits into one patch and is for LE.

Also here's the SSE version in case anyone needs it, it is in ESL format.

It should-

1. Prevent NDUN civilian rape quest from ever starting sex scenes. You should still set civilian rape chance to above zero (or combat defeat won't work). I set it to 1%.

2. Allow NDUN combat defeat to work without also allowing civilian rape quest to ever start sex scenes.

3. NDUN Naked harmlessness to work for most vanilla game NPCs.

Note that I'm willing to support further patches, for example if anyone wants NDUN harmlessness added to NPC factions from other mods. However, I can probably only support SSE since I nuked my LE install and SSE plugins aren't backward compatible with LE. It may or not be possible to use xEdit to turn an SSE patch into an LE patch, I can't do it for you, but I can show you how to do it yourself.

A good set of MCM screenshots is sexier than any pics of ingame content LMAO. I'm only half-joking.

If you've been doing Skyrim modding for any length of time then your true passion is for the modding, the game itself is just a base for modding.

My theory is that the brain of a typical LL modder responds to game setup stuff as if it was a foreplay ritual. Sort of like how the experience of just browsing and downloading porn becomes an addictive ritual prior to any sexual activity.

My foreplay starts where the CTD stops! ?
