      • no esp, just animations

      • Install after FNIS and let it overwrite FNIS files

      • Don't install the Skeleton, XPMSE takes over that part

      • It will produce one FNIS warning during generation that can be ignored (momo jump)

Libre Office seems the best solution so far to work with XML files.

If you would have asked, I could say now "told you so" :classic_shy:

I really should ask more.

Now Libre Office works very well with copy paste. Might even choose one font for everything ^^

  • HdtInvisibilityFix_0_11_beta-77815-0-11beta

Did this mod ever actually work for anybody? Maybe Im remembering a different similar named mod, is there a link anywhere for it? The mod that I did try, didnt get rid of invisible npcs. Though 1 thing it did do was make my game freeze/lock during Companion quest were you first see Farkas transform to werewolf.

@DTMT if you have that mod in LO I would love to hear if you can do that vanilla Companions quest. Certainly I wasnt the only user that was getting dorked by file.

Great set of blogs you set up for community. Sometimes I think you have just ran away with the "Best LL User" award, seems like the rest of us are just playing for 2nd place

Yes! It worked for Nexus Botox. I had often trouble with vanishing botoxified NPC. The patch pretty much solved that issue completely.

Here is the catch. After changing from Nexus Botox to the Heroine HoneyCrotch's Botox Version (in my case patch) all issues with vanishing Botox NPC was solved. Means it seems the HDT invisibility Fix doesn't do anything in my game anymore.

I will try without it and give feedback soon.tm

I'm sure you remember the right one. It was removed from Nexus a long time ago already. My guess was it was removed because it is unclear if it has any effect on the game.

Form my experience it has, but it is highly depended on the mods that are installed.

It doesn't help with followers that vanish after cell change for about 2+ seconds.

My guess is those vanish if

  • hdt needs to load
  • 4k textures need to be loaded
  • multiple scripts running on certain followers (like DF, sLola, SD+, all those pervy follower mods)

In that case the HDT fix won't help, because it solves itself after the cell is loaded + the cell changing followers

Maybe? I read so many solutions for that issue but none worked for me (okay, not true, one worked once, but I forgot what helped, maybe it's what you just described ?‍♂️)

Nope you are not the only one. I would say many have that issue, but many found various solutions for that. I became lazy and just finish that quest via console. I thought it's a SOS issue, but any Werewolf transformation outside of that quest don't cause CTD. It's only that one scene that is fucked up.

Not yet. I think I deserve to be a bit cocky as soon as I write about how to:

  • remove HDT high heels and replace them with Nioverride (read into Lestat's guides)
  • use CK without CTD on startup (works already for me, just need to write about it)
  • change scripts and compile them (thanks to all mod authors that add source files! at last I understand what they are good for, thanks Inte)
  • convert CBBE to UUNP (basically follow C5kev's guide)
  • use bodyslide/outfitstuido for more than just building meshes for outfits/equipment (I don't even know where to start... okay I think the meshup club helps)
  • make a primitive quest via Caden's guides
  • make Tes5edit patches or fixes of Smashed Patches
  • make patches like Corsec does (well he has YEARS of experience, that's hard to catch up to)
  • make Tes5edit patches or/and single Smash edit patches for mod combos without the need to rebuild them every time you change anything else on the LO (a Corsec thingy again)
  • find a way to tell merges how to find the bodyslide files (if I merge outfit mods they don't find the bodyslide files anymore, means I have to keep the esp of those mods installed even if deactivated)
  • discover the secrets of nif files
  • do as Grey Cloud does and change followers to my liking
  • do a bit more than just playing around with mod combos, I think the time users invest to get a working setup is underrated, can takes as long as some mod authors need to create a bigger mod
  • repair broken nav mesh?
  • ... okay we can talk about this in two years again xD

did you ever modify your hdt physics, bbp.xml file?   I had nexus botox right at 99% invisibly free one time, prior to using BotoxLL method, after upgrading my enb binary file but the hair rendering in weird places kept happening.  I always loosely thought that the modified hdt bbp.xml helped but who knows.

To my shame I never modified the hdt physics, because my workaround is simply not to give EVERY NPC in Skyrim HDT armor/hair. Usually I get into trouble with 4 followers + PC with HDT and/or 4k textures.

I had no very few invisible NPC in my last game (1200 hours, so I came around a lot).

Most HDT equipped NPC are those Hydagon Slave Girls + Corsec patches because of HDT chains...

... ah, now that you say it, if I have ~10 PAHE slaves all with HDT ZAP devices I get vanishing NPC too.

"I always loosely thought that the modified hdt bbp.xml helped but who knows. "

I still think it helps, if I wasn't so lazy to try.

"but the hair rendering in weird places kept happening"

I saw that still too, but it was very rare, like 5 times in 1200 hours. I can live with that.

Also only happened to bandit/soldier NPC that weren't replaced by various hostile NPC replacers ?‍♂️

Is it as good as IFPV in close combat?

I tested and compared both and ended up with SEC.

It's interesting in oral SL animations. That's the point where you discover immediately if the modder was happy with a distant 3rd party view and didn't bother with overlapping body surfaces.

Edit: But I think that ? is an issue is with all 1st person mods :classic_unsure:

yes, a little tweaking is necessary for certain oral/fingering/blowjob/nipple/kissing nibbling situations.

IFPV has the helmet cam option that helps to get some view distance to prevent clipping.

Oh well, more to experiment around with.

IFPV is also interesting, because it gets delivered with SL compatible configuration settings.

Do you switch from IFPV to vanilla 1st person for gameplay or are you always in IFPV mode?

I'm usually in 3rd person mode.

For battles in thigh spaces (to prevent clipping or not seeing anything at all) or if too many follower fight the same target I switch to 1st person mode to reduce friendly fire.

For running away I switch to 3rd person mode ?

For sexy times I switch sometimes to 1st person if it makes sense for the animation (+helmet cam toggle)

Some DD devices look great in 1st person

DD blindfold might force me to go into first person

for ZAP furniture it's sometimes interesting to be in 1st person (if I'm fast enough to change to 1st person before the animation starts)

ranged attacks and magic I do in 1st person

Oha, I think I misunderstood you. I play always in IFPV mode and never vanilla. I like how you don't have those weapons always in front of your face in 1st person.

Spoiler

Features

Toggles various things with hotkeys. Hotkeys can be assigned via the MCM.

  • HUD: Works the same as "tm" console command. Hides or shows the entire HUD elements.
  • Headgear: Toggles the player's current headgear (helmets or circlets etc) unequipped/re-equipped.
  • Hair: Toggles the player's hair visible/hidden. Useful when you customize your character's face.
  • Ammo: Toggles the player's ammo visible/hidden by scaling the ammo. This does not affect the equip state.
  • Lock: Toggles the lock state of the current crosshair target if possible, "Locked (Requires Key)" or "Unlocked".
  • God Mode: Works the same as "tgm" console command. Takes no damage, no spell cost, unlimited carry weight. Useful for debugging.
  • Collision: Works the same as "tc" console command. Useful when you stuck between NPCs or objects.
  • Spot Light: Places a light source in front of the player.

Other options below.

  • Save/Load Settings: Saves or loads the settings of the mod. Suggested settings can be loaded here.
  • Undress: Works the same as "UnequipAll" console command. Useful to instantly undress the player character.
  • Storage: Opens a remotely accessible chest. Shows a dialogue menu to choose from 5 chests. Their content can be emptied by using 'Empty Storage' option.
  • Auto Toggle Ammo: Automatically makes the ammo visible when a bow or a crossbow are drawn, otherwise hidden. This does not equip or unequip ammo.
  • Camera Control: Controls the 3rd person camera position by using hotkeys so you don't need to open and close the MCM over and over again. Takes no effect on horse back.
  • Disable Actor Fade: Prevents actors from fading out when the camera is close to them. This is unrelated to the Actor Fade slider in the Display Settings.
  • Player Speed Boost: Increases the player's movement speed.
  • Quit Game: Shows the "Quit to desktop?" dialogue menu to quickly close the game.
  • HDT Fix: Fixes the HDT mesh stretching/invisible NPC bug. Specified NPCs will be automatically fixed when entering/exiting cells. It can also be fixed manually by pressing the hotkey if the automatic fix failed.

Benutzt du den Mod? Wenn ja Feedback! Könnte ein paar Workaround Mods ersetzen.

    • debug a stuck!
  • Spot Light: Places a light source in front of the player.
    • Alternative to Quick Light?
  • Undress: Works the same as "UnequipAll" console command. Useful to instantly undress the player character.

    • Alternative to "Remove Camera Collison"?
  • Player Speed Boost: Increases the player's movement speed.
    • Could he very useful with DDs
  • HDT Fix: Fixes the HDT mesh stretching/invisible NPC bug. Specified NPCs will be automatically fixed when entering/exiting cells. It can also be fixed manually by pressing the hotkey if the automatic fix failed.
    • Alternative to HDTInvisibilityFix?

@worik I think I found a way to sneak in your mod recommendations for LOL categories.

Would be a waste not to list alternative mods for a category just because I not used them.

So no need to hold back anymore muhahahaha!

Occasionally found in meat bags near super mutant encampments.

That doesn't sounds so bad. A bit like "can be found in shopping bags near super market shopping cart encampments"
