Last night, before we put our children to sleep my Ivy and I were in the living room with Precious while my Prince was playing with Mikey in children’s room. We talked about everything. When we came to the subject of love in our love triangle I openly asked her:
- Honey, what would you do if you are in situation that you can save only one person? Whom would you save, me or Prince?
Taking my hands in hers and kissing my lips gently, she said:
- I love you with all my being, Princess, but …
Me (interrupting her smilingly): Although I want you to choose me, I know you will choose to save Prince. I see how much you love him. That’s OK. Don’t worry, my love, I’m not offended, I just wanted to hear it from you. I love both of you and I tell you honestly: I don’t know whom will I save if I have to choose between him and you. You and he makes one complete person so if I choose only one of you I would miss the other one.
Ivy: What about our children? Whom will you save?
Me: Oh, my, honey. That’s hard to tell.
Ivy (kissing me): No, it is very easy in your case: you would save Precious. You love her more than Mikey.
I blushed and told her that I’m not proud of that, but she is right: I do love Precious more than my own son. Then I asked her same question.
Ivy: I really don’t know. Can’t tell. I love them equally.
Then she suggested to ask my Prince same questions after we put our children to bed for we didn’t want Mikey to hear it. When we sat in the living room, I sat in his lap and told him what my Ivy and I talked. Then I asked him:
- Honey, if you have to choose between me and Ivy, whom will you save?
Ivy: My love, we know you loves us equally and you don’t make any difference between us, but what do you mean, none?
Prince: Neither of you.
Me (being little bit sad and disappointed): Why?
Ivy: Wait a second, Princess! Honey, how about our children? Whom would you save?
Both of us were sure that he would say: Mikey.
This time we were very shocked.
Me: Why? Explain, please.
Prince: First, I have no right to choose who will live and who will not! It’s not fair, and I would rather die than make such decision. And second, you see, witches, I love you and our children so much that I don’t want to live without any of you. Our connection, if missing even one link, falls apart. If there is a life after death, I will spend eternity with you, but if there isn’t, I will die although many people will choose at least one person saying: “it’s better to have one person I love than none”, I’m completely different. If I choose only one loved one, I would suffer all my life missing the other one. I don’t want to do that. Life is worthless for me without any of you.
Oh, my, he really touched us with his answer. And he was telling the truth. He makes no difference between me and Ivy and Precious and Mikey. That’s his greatness. We started to make love and we loved each other goooooood for hours.
